Under laboratory conditions, the toxicity of three novel insecticides, spinosad (Tracer ® ), tebufenozide (Mimic ® ) and azadirachtin (Align ® ), was tested against eggs and pupae of the predator Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens). In a first series of assays, eggs were dipped in an aqueous concentration and no ovicidal activity was scored for the three insecticides. In the second, when females were ovipositing on treated substrate for 24 h, fecundity and hatching percentages were similar as compared to controls and the offspring developed normally until the adult stage. However, spinosad, at the highest concentrations tested, caused a slight, significant reduction in the adult life span and fecundity. In a third series of experiments, pupae developed into normal adults after topical treatment for the three insecticides. Herewith, a pharmacokinetic study indicated low accumulation in the body after pupal cuticle penetration when administrating 14 C-labelled insecticide. Fourthly, pupation of last-instar larvae in treated substrate was normal for spinosad and tebufenozide. Only azadirachtin caused a slight reduction in the number of pupae and adults; however, fecundity and fertility of surviving adults was normal. In conclusion, the current results indicate that the three insecticides are not toxic to eggs and pupae of C. carnea .  相似文献

采取稻茎浸渍法测定了氯虫苯甲酰胺对黑肩绿盲蝽毒力,利用生命表技术研究了氯虫苯甲酰胺对黑肩绿盲蝽实验种群的影响,为协调水稻害虫的化学防治和生物防治提供参考。结果表明,氯虫苯甲酰胺对黑肩绿盲蝽若虫LC50和LC10分别为83.5mg/L和61.3 mg/L,氯虫苯甲酰胺对黑肩绿盲蝽成虫LC50和LC10分别为64.3 mg/L和39.0 mg/L。氯虫苯甲酰胺对黑肩绿盲蝽若虫和成虫的LC10分别大于和接近于大田使用剂量40mg/L。以大田使用剂量40 mg/L氯虫苯甲酰胺稻茎浸渍法处理黑肩绿盲蝽3龄若虫后,其产卵期、寿命和产卵量降低了4.3 d、3.0 d和22.0粒,与对照相比差异显著,表明氯虫苯甲酰胺对当代成虫寿命与生殖力影响较大;药剂处理后次代种群的成虫前期延长了2.3 d;存活率、平均日产卵量跟对照相比明显降低;种群净增值率、周限增长率、内禀增长率跟对照相比明显降低,分别为21.0(对照63.3)、18.8(对照19.2)、0.16(对照0.22),而种群加倍时间延长为4.3(对照3.2);这些结果表明,在40 mg/L浓度下,氯虫苯甲酰胺能够降低黑肩绿盲蝽种群的增长。  相似文献

Neem, Azadirachta indica A. Juss. (Meliaceae), seed oil (NSO) added to meridic diet at concentrations as low as 0.016% reduced pupation and prevented adult eclosion of obliquebanded leafroller, Choristoneura rosaceana (Harris) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae). At a rate of 0.0016%, NSO reduced the fitness of C. rosaceana, resulting in longer developmental times, lower adult eclosion rates, and reduced egg production compared with controls. The neem insecticide Margosan-O TM produced comparable results based on concentrations of the most biologically active constituent, azadirachtin. Pupation was completely inhibited at concentrations of 0.25% and 1.0% for larvae exposed at 5th or 6th instar, respectively; rates as low as 0.016% reduced pupal weights and adult eclosion rates. For larvae transferred to treated diet at 5th instar, physical abnormalities in the wings of adults occurred at a rate of 0.004% NSO and increased with increasing treatment rates. NSO at concentrations as high as 2.0% was not antifeedant to neonate larvae, based on 24 and 48 h choice test bioassays, when incorporated into a meridic diet.  相似文献

Microtheca ochroloma St?l is a beetle native to South America and was introduced to the United States in 1945. Since then, M. ochroloma has become a serious pest in crucifer crops because of the lack of natural enemies. The objective of this study was to measure the predation rate and development time of the commercially available predator Podisus maculiventris (Say) feeding on M. ochroloma at four constant temperatures in the laboratory as a first step to evaluating the predator's capability as a biological control agent of the pest. Nymphal development of P. maculiventris increased from 23 d at 25°C to 99 d at 15°C. There was no development of first instar or egg hatch at 10°C. Number of fourth-instar M. ochroloma killed during nymphal development varied significantly from 65 at 15°C to 53 at 20°C because of length of the nymphal period. A mean total of 741 eggs of M. ochroloma were consumed during nymphal development at 25°C. Adult P. maculiventris preyed on nine and 12 times more fourth-instar M. ochroloma during 10 d at 20° and 25°C, respectively, than at 15°C. We conclude that P. maculiventris can develop successfully on a diet of eggs or fourth-instar M. ochroloma, but its predation and development rates will be significantly curtailed during the cool months from November to March when M. ochroloma is a key pest of organically grown crucifers in Florida.  相似文献

The deterrence of azadirachtin, in its pure form and as a constituent of neem seed extract, to fifth instar Spodoptera litura (Fab.) larvae, was measured using cabbage, Brassica oleraceae (L.) var. capitata, leaf disc assays. Paired-choice assays, in which larvae could choose between feeding on a treated (1.3 ng azadirachtin per square cm leaf area) or an untreated leaf disc for 2 h, were conducted at 24 h intervals throughout the fifth instar. In addition, no-choice assays, in which larvae could feed on only one leaf disc (10 ng azadirachtin per square cm leaf area) for 1.5 h, were conducted consecutively over a six hour period at the beginning of the fifth instar. The effects of hunger and habituation on desensitization in our no-choice tests were partitioned. After repeated exposures, larvae became desensitized to pure azadirachtinal in both choice and no-choice tests, but did not desensitize to neem containing the same absolute amount of azadirachtin in choice tests. Hunger was responsible for approximately one third of the desensitization response in the no-choice tests. Sensitivity to azadirachtin was independent of age within the fifth instar.  相似文献

Abstract:  Experiments were conducted in the laboratory and in greenhouses. Of three neem preparations sprayed upon eggs, only neem oil (NO) exerted a negative impact on the hatching rate of Coccinella septempunctata and Chrysoperla carnea . First instar larvae of Episyrphus balteatus proved to be highly susceptible, when feeding 24 h on aphids sprayed with neem kernel water extract (NKWE). First instar larvae of C. septempunctata showed a very high mortality when feeding on aphids sprayed with different neem preparations. Aphid feeding and live span was reduced. When NKWE had been applied to the soil, the mortality of larvae of E. balteatus and C. septempunctata were lower, when feeding on aphids. Second instar larvae of C. septempunctata were far less susceptible when feeding 48 h on neem-sprayed aphids than first instars; the time of their development was prolonged, and aphid consumption reduced. Larvae of C. carnea proved to be less susceptible, when feeding on neem-sprayed aphids, than E. balteatus and C. septempunctata . In C. carnea , however, significant influences were also observed in aphid consumption, time of development, mortality, longevity, and rate of deformity. NO, containing a very low concentration of azadirachtin A, had stronger negative effects than NeemAzal-T/S®, in all observations. In the parasitoid Diaeretiella rapae , NKWE application to the soil induced negative reactions, when aphids on these plants were parasitized: low percentage parasitization, lowered mummy weight, low emergence rate of adults of F1 and even of F2. Foliar sprays of NKWE had less severe effects in this parasitoid species. The results are discussed with regard to their theoretical and practical significance.  相似文献

A commercial formulation of azadirachtin (Align) was tested on Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) adults to determine its effects on reproduction. Three methods of exposure were carried out in the laboratory (residual, direct contact and ingestion) with concentrations close to the maximum field recommended concentration in Spain (48 mg AI/liter). Align proved to be harmless to newly emerged adults irrespective of the mode of exposure. Nevertheless, fecundity was reduced in a reversible way in females that have ingested azadiracthin after the onset of oviposition. Fertility was not different from that of controls in all treatments. Additional tests showed that males were not involved in the reduction of oviposition. Electron microscopy studies pointed out that Align interfered with vitellogenin synthesis and/or its uptake by developing oocytes; thus, growing follicles in treated females were significantly smaller that those of the controls. The role of azadirachtin as a compound that may influence several hormonal and protein titers involved in reproduction is also discussed.  相似文献

Earlier studies have shown that larvae of the green lacewing predator Chrysoperla carnea are negatively affected when preying on lepidopteran larvae that had been fed with transgenic maize expressing the cry1Ab gene from Bacillus thuringiensis. To test whether the observed effects were directly caused by the Cry1Ab toxin, we have developed a bioassay which allows us to feed high concentrations of the toxin directly to the predator. The results of these feeding studies show no direct toxic effect of Cry1Ab on C. carnea larvae. The amount of toxin ingested by first instar C. carnea in the present study was found to be a factor 10,000 higher than the concentration ingested when feeding on Bt-reared lepidopteran larvae, a treatment that was previously shown to have a negative impact on the predator. In addition, feeding first instar C. carnea with the Cry1Ab toxin did not affect the utilisation of subsequently provided prey. Furthermore, the quality of the prey provided to first instars did not affect the sensitivity of second and third instar C. carnea to the Bt-toxin. The presented results strongly suggest that C. carnea larvae are not sensitive to Cry1Ab and that earlier reported negative effects of Bt-maize were prey-quality mediated rather than direct toxic effects. These results, together with the fact that lepidopteran larvae are not regarded as an important prey for C. carnea in the field, led us to conclude that transgenic maize expressing Cry1Ab poses a negligible risk for this predator.  相似文献

【目的】本研究旨在阐明甜菜夜蛾Spodoptera exigua幼虫体内肽聚糖识别蛋白(peptidoglycan recognition protein, PGRP)在响应苏云金芽胞杆菌Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)感染过程中的功能。【方法】利用PCR方法扩增甜菜夜蛾幼虫肽聚糖识别蛋白基因SePGRP-SA全长cDNA;采用qRT-PCR分析SePGRP-SA在甜菜夜蛾不同发育阶段(卵、1-5龄幼虫、预蛹和蛹)及4龄幼虫不同组织(中肠、马氏管、围食膜、脂肪体、血淋巴和表皮)中的表达。通过RNAi技术沉默SePGRP-SA基因72 h后,qRT-PCR检测SePGRP-SA沉默效率及甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫中肠抗菌肽相关基因(Ceropin, Attacin和Defensin)和细菌载量的变化。RNAi沉默SePGRP-SA 24 h后,以苏云金芽胞杆菌菌株Bt-GS57饲喂甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫0, 24, 48, 72, 96和120 h,计算幼虫校正死亡率;饲喂甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫Bt-GS57后0, 24, 48和72 h,利用qRT-PCR检测中肠SePGRP-SA, Ceropin, Attacin和Defensin的相对表达量。【结果】克隆获得甜菜夜蛾SePGRP-SA全长DNA(GenBank登录号:MW265930),开放阅读框长576 bp,编码191个氨基酸,其编码蛋白的预测分子量为21.59 kD。序列分析结果表明,SePGRP-SA具有典型的PGRP和Ami2保守结构域,信号肽为19个氨基酸,为分泌型蛋白;系统进化分析发现,SePGRP-SA与斜纹夜蛾Spodoptera litura的SlPGRP亲缘关系最近,氨基酸序列一致性达91.1%。发育表达谱结果表明SePGRP-SA在甜菜夜蛾4和5龄幼虫、预蛹和蛹中高表达;组织表达谱结果表明,SePGRP-SA在4龄幼虫各组织中均表达,其中以血淋巴中表达量最高。与注射dsEGFP(对照)相比,注射dsSePGRP-SA的甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫在72 h时中肠SePGRP-SA基因表达量下调了95.26%,Cecropin, Attacin和Defensin表达量显著下调,中肠细菌载量显著升高。注射dsEGFP和dsSePGRP-SA的甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫饲喂Bt-GS57,72 h时幼虫校正死亡率分别为50.00%和73.33%,表明幼虫对Bt-GS57的敏感性明显增加。甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫取食Bt-GS57后,中肠SePGRP-SA, Cecropin, Attacin和Defensin表达量在48 h均显著增加,72 h时降低。【结论】Bt侵染能够引起甜菜夜蛾SePGRP SA基因激活抗菌肽相关基因Cecropin, Attacin和Defensin的表达。  相似文献

Abstract:  Investigations into the toxicity of three simpler molecules based on the epoxy-alcohol fragment of azadirachtin have revealed insecticidal activity on the greater wax moth Galleria mellonella L. larvae. The simpler epoxy-alcohols doses giving 50% mortalities (LD50) for G. mellonella larvae were in the increasing order from glycidol (0.022 mg/g), 4,5-epoxy-2-pentanol (0.068 mg/g) and finally, glycerol diglycidyl ether (0.147 mg/g). The three epoxy-alcohols exhibited higher insecticidal activity when compared with the commercial neem product for which the dose giving 50% mortalities was 10.6 mg/g and to azadirachtin that killed the larvae only by injection (dose of 0.20 mg/g of larvae body weight). Our results confirm the importance of the epoxy-alcohol junction between the two parts of the azadirachtin molecule for the biological activity. Other effects of the epoxy-alcohols tested were blackening of larvae and morphological deformities of some adults hatching. In future, the molecules should be complexified (degree of ramification, length of chain and presence of bulky ramified substituent) to obtain an insecticide as toxic for insects only and environmentally safe as azadirachtin but more stable, and their physiological activities on insect's tissues and cells should be studied.  相似文献

The effects of the lipase inhibitor, tetrahydrolipstatin (THL), on neonate Epiphyas postvittana (Walker) (Lepidoptera, Tortricidae) larvae were investigated by feeding on control artificial diets (with and without 2% ethanol) and diets containing 2% ethanol and one of three concentrations of THL (0.011%, 0.037% and 0.11%). Small but significant reductions in growth rate, percent pupation and time to pupation were observed for larvae feeding on 2% ethanol control diet compared with standard control diet, but larger reductions in all parameters occurred with increasing THL concentration. Third instar larvae fed 0.011% THL in the diet had 40% of the midgut lipase activity in the relevant control larvae and showed up-regulation of gene expression of the gastric lipase-like family but not the pancreatic lipase-like family of midgut lipases.  相似文献

Susceptibility of Podisus maculiventris to the insect growth regulator teflubenzuron, the carbamate methomyl, the pyrethroid deltamethrin, and the bioinsecticide Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki (Bactospeine) was evaluated in the laboratory. Newly-moulted fourth instars and seven-day-old female adults were exposed to formulated materials of each compound via ingestion for 48 h. Teflubenzuron was highly toxic to fourth instars (LC 50 = 14.7 mg a.i. l -1 ) of the predator, but proved to be harmless to female adults. Both fourth instars and females suffered the highest mortality when they were exposed to methomyl (LC 50 = 5.4 and 10.6 mg a.i. l -1 , respectively). Deltamethrin was relatively safe for the predator in either stage; however, fourth instars were more tolerant to the pyrethroid than females (LC 50 = 158.8 and 43.4 mg a.i. l -1 , respectively). Neither fourth instars nor females were affected by B. thuringiensis at 10 000 mg formulated material l -1 . Reproductive capacity of the predator was also examined when applying field concentrations of teflubenzuron (200 mg a.i. l -1 ) or deltamethrin (12.5 mg a.i. l -1 ) via ingestion. Treatment with deltamethrin only prolonged preoviposition period. A marked decline in egg hatch was observed when the insects were exposed to teflubenzuron compared with the control (7 vs 63%, respectively). Fourth and fifth instars that had ingested sublethal doses of teflubenzuron demonstrated longer developmental times than did those of the control. Ingestion experiments suggest that use of deltamethrin and B. thuringiensis may be compatible with releases of P. maculiventris . In contrast, populations of the predator may be harmed when methomyl or teflubenzuron are applied.  相似文献

【目的】明确氯虫苯甲酰胺对甜菜夜蛾Spodoptera exigua (Hübner)细胞色素P450基因的诱导表达作用。【方法】采用O-脱乙基香豆素法研究了低剂量氯虫苯甲酰胺处理对甜菜夜蛾幼虫中肠P450s酶活性的影响,应用Real-time PCR方法测定了其对P450基因(CYP9A9, CYP4G37,CYP4S11和CYP6B)和NADPH细胞色素P450还原酶基因(HQ852049)表达的影响。【结果】氯虫苯甲酰胺对甜菜夜蛾P450酶及相关基因的诱导作用均表现出时间效应和剂量效应,。甜菜夜蛾4龄幼虫取食0.02 mg/kg氯虫苯甲酰胺饲料至5龄, 在蜕皮后6-36 h内, 其P450s酶活性增加为对照组的1.90~2.92倍, 诱导效应高于0.01 mg/kg氯虫苯甲酰胺处理组(其P450s酶活性为对照组的1.11~1.62倍)。同时, 0.02 mg/kg氯虫苯甲酰胺处理组甜菜夜蛾中肠P450基因CYP9A9, CYP4G37和CYP6B mRNA的相对表达量分别上升为对照组的1.97~3.95, 2.46~4.29及1.53~4.48倍, NADPH细胞色素P450还原酶基因 HQ852049 的相对表达量亦增加为对照的1.85~4.08倍。【结论】结果提示,氯虫苯甲酰胺可能通过诱导3种P450基因及细胞色素P450还原酶基因 HQ852049 基因mRNA的上调表达而增强了甜菜夜蛾幼虫中肠P450s酶活性。  相似文献

A long-term exposition of Spodoptera exigua (Hübner) larvae to fenitrothion caused abnormalities in egg structure. When examined under a scanning electron microscope, the eggs revealed diminutions and cracks around the micropylar and aeropylar region. The damage was proportional to the concentration of the insecticide. The observed changes may be one of the reasons for the decreased survival of populations exposed to fenitrothion.  相似文献

Abstract:  The predatory behaviour of Podisus maculiventris was investigated when this bug was presented with Lacanobia oleracea larvae infected with the microsporidian pathogen Vairimorpha necatrix . In choice tests, adult predatory bugs attacked V. necatrix -infected L. oleracea prey in similar numbers to uninfected larvae. Exposure to infected prey during nymphal development increased the rate at which adult bugs attacked diseased L. oleracea larvae. Fifth instar P. maculiventris nymphs, however, attacked infected prey in the majority of cases (>80% of occasions). Consumption of healthy and infected prey was measured for both adult and nymphal bugs. Over the course of 1 week, the mean number of V. necatrix -infected prey eaten by P. maculiventris adults (7.0 ± 0.82) was approximately twice the number of uninfected prey consumed (3.8 ± 0.42). Similarly, the number of prey larvae attacked by the bug over the course of the final nymphal stadium was also increased, with 2.9 ± 0.42 uninfected larvae eaten as opposed to 4.9 ± 0.27 V. necatrix -infected prey. However, small-scale investigations into the rate of P. maculiventris reduced small populations of L. oleracea indicated that the combination of the predator and pathogen would produce, at best, an additive effect.  相似文献

Haemolymph and osmeterial secretions of caterpillars of Lymantria monacha (Linnaeus) and L. concolor Walker were analysed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry for low molecular weight secondary metabolites. The similarities of their chemical compositions were determined by means of cluster analysis techniques in order to characterize possible chemical variations related to developmental stage or food of the larvae. For this purpose, two dissimilarity coefficients (Euclidean distances, Canberra metrics) and four clustering methods (UPGMA, WPGMA, WPGMC, single linkage) were combined. The patterns of secondary compounds obtained from the haemolymph and osmeterial secretions studied did not differ statistically significantly between two groups of L. monacha larvae fed with either larch, Larix decidua Mil., or Norway spruce, Picea abies (L.), indicating no relevant influence of plant chemistry. However, haemolymph of penultimate instar larvae of L. concolor fed on Rhododendron contained a mixture of compounds differing statistically significantly from that of last instar caterpillars. The total compositions of the corresponding gland secretions were statistically identical though the presence/amounts of individual compounds varied. This suggested that the haemolymph composition reflected changing physiological requirements of the successive instars, whereas the composition of the defensive mixtures remained comparatively constant, possibly due to a constant spectrum of potential enemies. A more pronounced age-dependence of larval chemistry was shown by a similar analysis of data from various developmental stages of L. dispar (Linnaeus) and one of its food plants. This analysis suggested plant composition affected the secondary chemistry of early larval instars of L. dispar. The results are discussed in terms of the roles of secondary metabolites in defence against natural enemies.  相似文献

研究虫酰肼对甜菜夜蛾汰选种群生长发育及生殖的影响。结果显示:经虫酰肼处理后,甜菜夜蛾SS种群和RR种群卵的孵化抑制中浓度分别为179.38和160.71mg/kg,孵化幼虫的存活抑制中浓度分别为18.64和30.53mg/kg,虫酰肼对甜菜夜蛾卵的孵化率影响较小,而对孵化后幼虫的存活率影响较大。处理初孵幼虫6d后,2种群幼虫存活率及化蛹率随处理浓度的增加而降低,幼虫历期最高饲毒浓度与最低饲毒浓度相比分别延长了2.71d和6.19d,同一浓度下,RR种群幼虫历期比SS种群缩短了0.94~2.59d。处理甜菜夜蛾3龄幼虫12h后,随虫酰肼浓度的增加,2种群化蛹率逐渐降低,雌雄蛹重均有递减的趋势,雌蛹比例随浓度的增加变化较小,但SS种群雌蛹比例≤50.00%,而RR种群雌蛹比例≥50.00%,雌雄成虫羽化率总体上依次递减,处理浓度大于1.00mg/kg时虫酰肼对甜菜夜蛾成虫羽化的影响较大。  相似文献

Abstract: Rocaglamide, a highly substituted benzofuran, was isolated and identified as the main biologically active component in Aglaia elaeagnoidea (syn. A. roxburghiana) for gram pod borer Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner). Addition of rocaglamide to an artificial diet retarded the growth of neonate larvae in a dose‐dependent manner with EC50 values of 0.76 p.p.m. These values compared favourably with azadirachtin (EC50 = 0.23 p.p.m.). However, azadirachtin was apparently more potent than rocaglamide in inducing growth inhibition via oral administration to these first stadium larvae. The candidate compound was found to have LD50 and LD95 values of 0.40 and 1.02 μg per larva, respectively, in topical application against third instar larvae 96 h post‐treatment. However, these values for azadirachtin were 8.16 and 25.8 μg per larva for the same period. This shows that azadirachtin was less effective against third instar H. armigera larvae in inducing acute toxicity via topical treatment in comparison with rocaglamide. However, severe morphological larval deformities were observed in such azadirachtin‐treated larvae during the process of ecdysis. The cytotoxic nature of rocaglamide was established by evaluating dietary utilization and the results did not implicate any antifeedant effect but the toxicity‐mediated effect due to reduced efficiency of conversion of ingested food. It was obvious that feeding deterrence is not the primary mode of action but a centrally mediated effect, which could be due to the induced cytotoxicity at non‐specific cellular levels.  相似文献

An active corpus allatum (CA) in the blood feeding insect, Rhodnius prolixus, releases a substance that inhibits metamorphosis in larvae, and activates egg production in adults. In adults, transecting the nervus corporis cardiacum II's (NCCII), which are attached posteriorly to each protocerebral lobe, greatly increases egg production indicating that the adult CA is activated and receives neural inhibition from cells associated with the NCCII [Chiang, Arch. Insect. Biochem. Physiol. 39:126-131 (1998)]. In the present study, the NCCII's in fifth instar larvae were transected immediately before or after feeding to determine if these nerves normally inhibit CA activity in the last larval instar. Approximately 20 to 25 days following ingestion of a blood meal, L5's with transected NCCII's emerged as fully-formed adults with no larval characteristics. Examination of the brain in these recently emerged adults revealed that the NCCII's were absent. Cadmium, Zn, Pb and Cu uptake and effects in larvae ofChironomus riparius (Meigen) were studied in an integrated laboratory investigation, in which metal analyses in different instar stages, uptake kinetics and effects on development and growth were considered in three separate experiments.In short-term experiments with fourth instar larvae, it was demonstrated that only a minor portion of metals was adsorbed on the larval exoskeletons. No conclusive evidence on the uptake mechanism was found, but active uptake of trace metals seemed highly unlikely.In partial life cycle experiments, all four metals studied were readily accumulated in chironomid larvae. Uptake could be described satisfactorily utilizing a first-order one-compartment uptake model which incorporated growth. In all cases steady state conditions were approached and high uptake and elimination rate constants were estimated. Distinct differences between essential (Zn and Cu) and non-essential (Cd and Pb) metals were noted. Larval growth was significantly impaired upon exposure.Finally, long-term exposure experiments with low Cd concentrations (0.010 and 0.025 mg 1–1) resulted initially in growth impairment and high mortality in first instar stages, but surviving larvae restored growth and adults emerged even before control adults. In similar experiments with Zn (0.1 and 1.0 mg 1–1), development of larvae was significantly retarded. High Zn concentrations in larvae were noted and almost no adult midges emerged.  相似文献
