Lunularic acid and lunularin were detected in 76 species of hepatics, but not in any of the Anthrocerotales or Algae examined. Lunularic acid, lunularin, 3,4′-dihydroxystilbene and a glycoside of lunularic acid were also identified in extracts of Hydrangea macrophylla roots, together with hydrangenol, hydrangeic acid and their glucosides.  相似文献

Some properties of a preparation of an enzyme, lunularic acid decarboxylase, from the liverwort Conocephalum conicum are described. The enzyme is normally bound and could be solubilized with Triton X-100; at least some of the bound decarboxylase activity appears to be associated with chloroplasts. For lunularic acid the enzyme has Km 8.7 × 10?5 M (pH 7.8 and 30°). Some substrate analogues have been tested but no other substrate was found. Pinosylvic acid is a competitive inhibitor for the enzyme, Ki 1.2 × 10?4 M (pH 7.8 and 30°). No product inhibition was observed. Lunularic acid decarboxylase activity has also been observed with a cell-free system from Lunularia cruciata.  相似文献

The major flavonoids of Marchantia polymorpha var. polymorpha and aquatica are the 7-O-β-d-glucuronides of apigenin and luteolin, luteolin 3′-O-β-d-glucuronide, luteolin 7,3′-di-O-β-d-glucuronide, and the 7,4′-di-O-β-d-glucuronides of apigenin and luteolin. These are accompanied by minor amounts of apigenin, luteolin, luteolin 3′,4′-di-O-β-d-glucuronide and luteolin 7,3′,4′-tri-O-β-d-glucuronide. All the luteolin di- and triglucuronides except the 3′,4′-di- substituted compound are new natural products.  相似文献

A series of ent-sesquiterpenoids corresponding to the optical antipodes of those in higher plants have been isolated from the liverwort Marchantia polymorpha. These sesquiterpenoids provide yet another example of the peculiar stereospecificity of the biogenesis of the liverwort sesquiterpenoids and suggest a special taxonomic position of the liverworts in the plant kingdom.  相似文献

Six new bibenzyls have been isolated from the liverwort, Radula variabilis and their structures have been established by chemical and spectral evidence. In addition, a new dihydrochalcone and a new bibenzy] have been isolated as their methyl ethers. Except for two of the bibenzyls, the present compounds have a unique seven-membered heterocyclic ring and they are the first members of a new group of natural product.  相似文献

Besides an apigenin- and a luteolin-di-C-glycoside, 5 previously unknown di-C-glycosides of tricetin were identified in the gametophytic and sporophytic tissues of Plagiochila asplenioides. Two of them were new 6,8-di-C-hexopyranosyltricetins, and two were new 6-C- hexopyranosyl-8-C-pentopyranosyltricetins. 6-C-Hexopyranosyl-8-C-pentopyranosyltricetin-5′-methyl ether was also found.  相似文献

The growth inhibitory activity of lunularic acid and a number of analogues has been examined in liverwort gemmaling and cress root growth tests. Lunularic acid was no more active than a wide range of similar compounds and no clear correlation between structure and activity was observed. Degradation of membrane phospholipids is associated with apoptotic responses, but the signaling development of this degradation is not well understood. Cerium (Ce4+), an important rare earth element, induces cellular apoptosis and taxol biosynthesis in Taxus cuspidata suspension cultures. Here, using mass spectrometry and biochemical technique, we demonstrated that the phospholipase D (PLD) was rapidly activated by Ce4+ and hydrolyzed structural phospholipids to generate lipid signal molecule, phosphatidic acid (PA). 1-Butanol, an antagonist of PLD-dependent PA production, blocked the biphasic burst of superoxide anions (O2) and thus mitigated cellular apoptosis. The time-course analysis of PA accumulation and ERK-like mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) regulation indicated PA generation preceded MAPK activation, suggesting that the rapid accumulation of PA might be required for the initial MAPK activity. After 2 h of Ce4+ elicitation, however, PA-induced O2 burst, forming a negative regulation to MAPK activity, which in turn led to apoptotic signaling development.  相似文献

The liverwort, Scapania ornithopodioides, was investigated for sesquiterpene hydrocarbons by utilizing GC and GCIMS and 17 components were identified. Among these, the major component, aromadendrene, and two minor ones, cyclosativene and α-farnesene are reported for the first time as constituents of liverworts. Suspension cultures of Perilla ocymoides accumulate caffeic acid, both in free and ester forms, as the only phenylpropanoid end metabolite. Increased levels of growth substances influenced the levels of PAL activity and phenolic accumulation so that cytokinin stimulated, while auxin repressed both parameters. The regulatory role of caffeyl compounds is discussed in relation to their accumulation during the early exponential phase of culture growth.  相似文献

In carrot cell suspension cultures greater amounts of phospholipid were detected than in carrot root material, but the major phospholipid classes were the same in both materials, and their fatty acid composition was very similar. In contrast to the cultured cells, no significant amounts of free fatty acids and monoglycerides, as well as diglycerides, could be detected in the carrot root. The fatty acid composition of the major lipid classes from cell cultures is reported for the first time in this report. The degree of unsaturation was higher in triglycerides and phospholipids than in free fatty acids. In a study of phospholipid biosynthesis, [3H]-glycerol was shown to be incorporated into 4-phospholipids (PE, PC, PG, PS7) to different extents. The highest specific activity was observed in PC and PG. Five molecular species were isolated from each of the 4 phospholipids and analyzed by GC-MS and LSC.  相似文献

The major flavonoids of Marchantia follacea are the 7-O-β-d-glucuronides of apigenin, chrysoeriol and tricin, and apigenin-6,8-di-C-glucoside (vicenin-2). Minor constituents include the rhamnosylglucuronides of the above flavones. Apparent isomerization of the glucuronides on hydrolysis (MeOH-HCl) proved to be due to methylation of the sugar carboxyl group.  相似文献

The time-course production of ferruginol, a diterpene, was examined during growth of Salvia miltiorrhiza in cell culture. Ferruginol was produced in the lag and stationary phases of growth and so production of this secondary metabolite was inversely related to active cell division. The highest berberine content of unselected Coptis cells cultured under the best conditions for berberine production (darkness, high aeration, 3% sucrose and White's basal medium) was about 5% on a dry wt basis. Fluoromicroscopy showed that cultured Coptis cells had heterogeneous characters; therefore, selection was used to establish a high berberine-producing culture of Coptis cells. When small cell aggregates were cloned, high berberine-producing cell lines were produced. Repeated cloning, however, was needed to obtain stable cell lines that produced large amounts of berberine. The highest berberine production in a selected cell line was 13.2% on a dry wt basis (1.39 g/l. culture). The average production was 8.2% (0.90 g/l. culture).  相似文献

Twenty-four different flavonoid glycosides were isolated from illuminated cell suspension cultures of parsley (Petroselinum hortense). The chemical structures of fourteen of these compounds were further characterized. The aglycones identified were the flavones apigenin, luteolin and chrysoeriol, and the flavonols quercetin and isorhamnetin. The flavones occurred either as 7-O-glucosides or as 7-O-apioglucosides, while the flavonols were 3-O-monoglucosides or 3,7-O-diglucosides. One-half of these glycosides were electrophoretically mobile and substituted with malonate residues.  相似文献
