A northward extension of the range of the family Tripterygiidae is reported. Several specimens have been captured in the vicinity of Roscoff, North Finisterrc on the coast of Britanny, and presumed sight records from the English coast of the English Channel are reported. These specimens differ sufficiently from the four recognized European species to be regarded as taxonomically distinct. The name Tripterygion atlanticus is proposed for this species which is formally described. 相似文献

Three facultatively anaerobic, Gram-positive staining, rod-shaped, non-spore forming, flagellated bacterial strains, BL-75,
BL-79T and BL-104, were isolated from chlorinated solvent-contaminated groundwater. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene
sequence comparisons showed them to represent a distinct lineage within the genus Actinomyces with sequence identities in the range of <88–95.4% with previously described Actinomyces species. The strains were oxidase and catalase negative. Nitrate was not reduced. Esculin was hydrolyzed. Growth occurred
in the temperature range of 20–43°C (optimum 30–37°C) and pH range 4.5–9.0 (optimum pH 6.5). Substrates supporting growth
included various mono-, di-, and tri-saccharides. The end products of glucose fermentation were acetate, lactate, succinate
and formate. Fermentative growth was observed in the presence of near saturation concentrations of perchloroethene (PCE) and
toluene and in the presence of 1,2-dichloroethane and 1,1,2-trichloroethane at concentrations up to at least 24.4 mM and 11.2 mM,
respectively. The dominant cellular fatty acids when grown in peptone/yeast extract/glucose (PYG) medium were C18:1 ω9c, C16:0, and C14:0. The peptidoglycan was found to contain the amino acids alanine, glutamic acid, lysine, and ornithine at approximate molar
ratios of 1.7 Ala: 2.3 Glu: 1.3 Lys: 1.0 Orn. The cell wall sugars were found to include rhamnose and mannose. The polar lipids
were found to include diphosphatidylglycerol (DPG), phosphatidylglycerol (PG), phospholipid (PL), phosphoglycolipids (PGL),
and glycolipids (GL). The main respiratory quinone of strain BL-79T was MK-9(H4), with minor components MK-10(H4) and MK-8(H4). The DNA mol% G+C content of the type strain is 69.8%. On the basis of phylogenetic and phenotypic characteristics, these
strains could be differentiated from previously described species of the genus Actinomyces. Strains BL-75, BL-79T and BL-104 are designated as a novel species, for which the name Actinomyces naturae sp. nov. is proposed. This is the first Actinomyces species isolated from an environmental rather than human or animal sources. The type strain of Actinomyces naturae is BL-79T (= CCUG 56698T = NRRL B-24670T). 相似文献

Dichomitus hubeiensis Hai J. Li & B. K. Cui sp. nov. is described from the Hubei province, central China. It is distinct in the genus by its cream to straw‐yellow pore surface and large pores (1–2 per mm), both inamyloid and indextrinoid skeletal hyphae, presence of cystidioles and dendrohyphidia in the hymenium, more or less ellipsoid basidiospores (10–14 × 5.6–7.0 µm). Dichomitus kirkii originally described from Zimbabwe was found in the Yunan province, it is new to the Chinese fungal flora, and is characterized by its buff‐yellow to cinnamon‐buff pore surface, entire to lacerate pores (1–2 per mm) and large cylindrical basidiospores (20.8–25.0 × 6.8–8.0 µm). 相似文献

Investigation of iron reduction in bottom sediments of alkaline soda lakes resulted in the isolation of a new obligately anaerobic iron-reducing bacterium, strain Z-0531, from Lake Khadyn (Tuva, Russia) sediment samples. The cells of strain Z-0531 are short (1.0–1.5 by 0.3–0.5 μm), motile, non-spore-forming, gram-negative rods. The isolate is an obligate alkaliphile, developing in the pH range of 7.8–10.0, with an optimum at pH 8.6. It does not require NaCl but grows at NaCl concentrations of 0–50 g/l. It can oxidize acetate with such electron acceptors as amorphous Fe(III) hydroxide (AFH), EDTA-Fe(III), anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate (quinone), Mn(IV), and S0. On medium with EDTA-Fe(III), the isolate can oxidize, apart from acetate, ethanol, pyruvate, oxalate, arginine, tartrate, lactate, propionate, and serine. H2 is not utilized. The reduced products formed during growth with AFH are siderite or magnetite, depending on the growth conditions. The isolate is incapable of fermenting sugars, peptides, and amino acids. Yeast extract or vitamins are required as growth factors. The organism is capable of dinitrogen fixation and harbors the nifH gene. The DNA G+C content is 55.3 mol %. 16S rRNA analysis places strain Z-0531 into the family Geobacteraceae. Its closest relative (93% similarity) is Desulfuromonas palmitatis. Based on phenotypic distinctions and phylogenetic position, it is proposed that this strain be assigned to the new genus and species Geoalkalibacter ferrihydriticus gen. nov., sp. nov. (Z-0531T-DSMZ-17813-VKMB-2401). Original Russian Text ? D.G. Zavarzina, T.V. Kolganova, E.S. Boulygina, N.A. Kostrikina, T.P. Tourova, G.A. Long after their original discovery, termite gut spirochetes were recently isolated in pure culture for the first time. They revealed metabolic capabilities hitherto unknown in the Spirochaetes division of the Bacteria, i.e., H(2) plus CO(2) acetogenesis (J. R. Leadbetter, T. M. Schmidt, J. R. Graber, and J. A. Breznak, Science 283:686-689, 1999) and dinitrogen fixation (T. G. Lilburn, K. S. Kim, N. E. Ostrom, K. R. Byzek, J. R. Leadbetter, and J. A. Breznak, Science 292:2495-2498, 2001). However, application of specific epithets to the strains isolated (Treponema strains ZAS-1, ZAS-2, and ZAS-9) was postponed pending a more complete characterization of their phenotypic properties. Here we describe the major properties of strain ZAS-9, which is readily distinguished from strains ZAS-1 and ZAS-2 by its shorter mean cell wavelength or body pitch (1.1 versus 2.3 micro m), by its nonhomoacetogenic fermentation of carbohydrates to acetate, ethanol, H(2), and CO(2), and by 7 to 8% dissimilarity between its 16S rRNA sequence and those of ZAS-1 and ZAS-2. Strain ZAS-9 is proposed as the type strain of the new species, Treponema azotonutricium. Strains ZAS-1 and ZAS-2, which are H(2)-consuming, CO(2)-reducing homoacetogens, are proposed here to be two strains of the new species Treponema primitia. Apart from the salient differences mentioned above, the genomes of all three strains were similar in size (3,461 to 3,901 kb), in G+C content (50.0 to 51.0 mol%), and in possession of 2 copies of the gene encoding 16S rRNA (rrs). For comparison, the genome of the free-living spirochete Spirochaeta aurantia strain J1 was analyzed by the same methods and found to have a size of 3,719 kb, to contain 65.6 mol% G+C, and also to possess 2 copies of the rrs gene. 相似文献

A new species of Synchytrium, S. solstitiale, infecting leaves of Centaurea solstitialis in France, is described and illustrated. Synchytrium solstitiale causes development of orange to red galls on the leaves and petioles of living plants. It differs microscopically from all previously described species of the genus mainly in having larger sporangia and zoospores and resting spores that are formed in succession without an evanescent prosoral stage. 相似文献

In a taxonomic study on the ascomycetous yeasts isolated from plant materials collected in tropical forests in Yunnan and Hainan Provinces, southern China, four strains isolated from tree sap (YJ2E(T)) and flowers (YF9E(T), YWZH3C(T) and YYF2A(T)) were revealed to represent four undescribed yeast species. Molecular phylogenetic analysis based on the large subunit (26S) rRNA gene D1/D2 domain sequences showed that strain YJ2E(T) was located in a clade together with Candida haemulonii and C. pseudohaemulonii. Strain YF9E(T) was most closely related to C. azyma and strain YWZH3C(T) to C. sorbophila and C. spandovensis. Strain YYF2A(T) was clustered in a clade containing small-spored Metschnikowia species and related anamorphic Candida species. The new strains differed from their closely related described species by more than 10% mismatches in the D1/D2 domain. No sexual states were observed for the four strains on various sporulation media. The new species are therefore assigned to the genus Candida and described as Candida alocasiicola sp. nov. (type strain, YF9E(T) = AS 2.3484(T) = CBS 10702(T)), Candida hainanensis sp. nov. (type strain, YYF2A(T) = AS 2.3478(T) = CBS 10696(T)), Candida heveicola sp. nov. (type strain, YJ2E(T) = AS 2.3483(T) = CBS 10701(T)) and Candida musiphila sp. nov. (type strain, YWZH3C(T) = AS 2.3479(T) = CBS 10697(T)). 相似文献

Nine psychrotolerant bacteria were isolated from fast ice in the middle of Geologie Archipelago, Adelie Land, Antarctica and were categorized into two groups, based on their SDS-PAGE profiles. Representatives from each of the two groups, namely strains DD 48T and SJ 14T exhibited phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics confirming to the genus Psychrobacter. The 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated that the two isolates are closely related to each other and to the already reported fifteen species of Psychrobacter. Detailed studies on the phenotypic characteristics, chemotaxonomic properties and phylogenetic analysis of strains DD 48T and SJ 14T indicated that they are distinctly different from each other and the reported species of Psychrobacter. At the DNA-DNA hybridisation level, the two species exhibit less than 70% similarity. Thus, strains DD 48T and SJ 14T are identified as new species of the genus Psychrobacter for which the names Psychrobacter salsus sp. nov. and Psychrobacter adeliensis sp. nov. respectively are proposed. 相似文献

Nine anamorphic, ascomycetous yeast strains belonging to the Pichia anomala clade were recovered from forest soil in 2006 in Taiwan. The nine yeast strains represent four novel yeast species based on the sequences of their D1/D2 domain of the large subunit (LSU) rRNA gene and their physiological characteristics. The scientific names of Candida dajiaensis sp. nov., Candida yuanshanicus sp. nov., Candida jianshihensis sp. nov., and Candida sanyiensis sp. nov. are proposed for these novel yeast species. The type strains are C. dajiaensis SM11S03(T) (=CBS 10590(T)=BCRC 23099(T)), C. yuanshanicus SY3S02(T) (=CBS 10589(T)=BCRC 23100(T)), C. jianshihensis SM8S04(T) (=CBS 10591(T)=BCRC 23096(T)), and C. sanyiensis SA1S06(T) (=CBS 10592(T)=BCRC 23094(T)). Sequence analysis of the D1/D2 of the LSU rRNA gene revealed that the three species, C. dajiaensis, C. yuanshanicus and Pichia onychis, shared a separate branch in the phylogenetic tree, C. jianshihensis is phylogenetically related to Candida ulmi and Pichia alni, and the phylogenetically closest relative of C. sanyiensis is Pichia populi. 相似文献

Parablastocatena tetracerae gen. et sp. nov. and Corynesporella licualae sp. nov. from Hainan, China
Parablastocatena tetracerae gen. et sp. nov. and Corynesporella licualae sp. nov., collected on dead branches of Tetracera asiatica and Licuala fordiana, respectively, in tropical forests of China, are described and illustrated. Parablastocatena tetracerae is the type species for a new monotypic genus in possessing macronematous conidiophores forming distinct synnemata with holoblastic conidiogenesis and euseptate, short-chained conidia ending in a paler brown rostrum, whereas C. licualae is distinguished from described species by the smaller conidia with long appendages. A key to currently accepted species of Corynesporella is provided. 相似文献

A new species ofAtkinsiella (Lagenidiales, Oomycetes),Atkinsiella parasitica is described and illustrated. It was isolated from the eggs and bodies of a rotifer,Brachionus plicatilis, with fungal infection in 1992. The rotifer was reared in a hatchery as the first food supply for seed production of crustaceans and fishes. The fungus is characterized by producing monoplanetic, lateral biflagellate zoospores, and infrequently branched discharge tubes. Optimum temperature for the fungus was 25°C. The fungus was considered an obligate marine fungus, because its growth was observed only on PYGS medium including seawater. 相似文献
