This study investigated the effects of BCAA, arginine and carbohydrate combined beverage (BCAA Drink) on biochemical responses and psychological conditions during recovery after a single bout of exhaustive exercise. Fourteen healthy males were assigned to drink either BCAA Drink (BA trial) or placebo (PL trial) on two sessions separated by 2 weeks. Blood samples of each subject were collected before exercise, 0, 10, 20, 40, 60, 120 min and 24 h after exercise. No significant differences in the levels of lactate, ammonia, creatine kinase and glycerol between the two groups were observed at any of the time points. However, the levels of glucose and insulin were significantly higher in the BA trial as compared to those in the PL trial at the 40 and 60 min recovery points. Furthermore, the testosterone-to-cortisol ratio at the 120 min recovery point was significantly higher in the BA trial as compared to that in the PL trial. The results indicate the occurrence of anabolic response during the recovery period. The benefit of BCAA Drink was also performed by Profile of Mood States to assess the psychological condition. Fatigue score increased immediately at exhaustion in both groups, but the decrease in the fatigue score at 120 min recovery point was significant only in BA trial. These data indicate that a single bout of exhaustive exercise enhanced the feeling of fatigue. The detrimental consequence was reduced by an ingestion of BCAA Drink.  相似文献

The influence of a pattern of exercise and dietary manipulation, intended to alter carbohydrate (CHO) availability, on pre-exercise acid-base status and plasma ammonia and blood lactate accumulation during incremental exercise was investigated. On three separate occasions, five healthy male subjects underwent a pre-determined incremental exercise test (IET) on an electrically braked cycle ergometer. Each IET involved subjects exercising for 5 min at 30%, 50%, 70% and 95% of their maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and workloads were separated by 5 min rest. The first IET took place after 3 days of normal dietary CHO intake. The second and third tests followed 3 days of low or high CHO intake, which was preceded by prolonged exercise to exhaustion in an attempt to deplete muscle and liver glycogen stores. Acid-base status and plasma ammonia and blood lactate levels were measured on arterialised venous blood samples immediately prior to and during the final 15 s of exercise at each workload and for 40 min following the completion of each IET. Three days of low CHO intake resulted in the development of a mild metabolic acidosis in all subjects. Plasma ammonia (NH3) accumulation on the low-CHO diet tended to be greater than normal at each exercise workload. Values returned towards resting levels during each recovery period. After the normal and high-CHO diets plasma NH3 levels did not markedly increase above resting values until after exercise at 95% VO2max. 本研究旨在探讨单次口服肉碱是否有利于促进人体运动后骨骼肌糖原恢复。本研究为交叉实验设计,选取20名受试者,随机分为肉碱试验(实验组)和安慰剂试验(安慰剂组),两次实验间隔至少7 d。所有受试者接受单次60 min 70%VO2max功率车测试,运动后立即给予高碳水化合物饮食补充和肉碱胶囊或安慰剂淀粉胶囊口服补充,同时观察运动后3 h恢复期内的生理反应。功率车运动后第0、第3小时从股外侧肌采集肌肉样本,同期间隔每30 min收集血液样本,每60 min收集10 min气体样本。研究发现,实验组肌糖原含量增加率显著增加,在血液生化值方面,两组的血糖浓度在各时间点均无显著差异,但实验组的胰岛素反应显著低于安慰剂组。同时在运动恢复期间,实验组呼吸交换率明显低于安慰剂组,这代表运动恢复期口服肉碱后,身体以脂肪为主要能量来源。研究表明,运动后立即补充肉碱能显著提升人体运动后肌糖原恢复,具备临床进一步推广应用的价值。  相似文献

Arginine supplementation has been shown to alleviate endothelial dysfunction and improve exercise performance through increasing nitric oxide production in patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. In addition, arginine supplementation could decrease accumulations of lactate and ammonia, metabolites involved in development of muscular fatigue. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of short-term arginine supplementation on performance in intermittent anaerobic exercise and the underlying mechanism in well-trained male athletes. Ten elite male college judo athletes participated with a randomized crossover, placebo-controlled design. The subjects consumed 6 g/day arginine (ARG trial) or placebo (CON trial) for 3 days then performed an intermittent anaerobic exercise test on a cycle ergometer. Blood samples were collected before supplementation, before and during exercise and 0, 3, 6, 10, 30 and 60 min after exercise. ARG trial had significantly higher arginine concentrations than CON trial at the same time point before, during and after exercise. In both trials, nitrate and nitrite concentration was significantly higher during and 6 min after exercise comparing to the basal concentration. The increase in nitrate and nitrite concentration during exercise in both trials was parallel to the increase in plasma citrulline concentrations. There was no significant difference between the 2 trials in plasma nitrate and nitrite, lactate and ammonia concentrations and peak and average power in the exercise. The results of this study suggested that short-term arginine supplementation had no effect on nitric oxide production, lactate and ammonia metabolism and performance in intermittent anaerobic exercise in well-trained male athletes.  相似文献

Effect of dichloroacetate on lactate concentration in exercising humans   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The precise mechanism responsible for the increase in plasma lactate concentration during exercise in humans is not known. We have used dichloroacetate to test the hypothesis that a limitation in pyruvate dehydrogenase activity is responsible for the rise in plasma lactate. Dichloroacetate stimulates the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase, which is normally the regulatory enzyme in the oxidation of glucose when tissue oxygenation is adequate. Six subjects were studied twice according to a randomized, crossover protocol, involving one test with saline infusion and another with dichloroacetate infusion. Exercise load on a bicycle ergometer was increased progressively until exhaustion. Blood samples were drawn each minute throughout exercise and periodically throughout 120 min of recovery. Dichloroacetate significantly lowered the lactate concentration during exercise performed at less than 80% of the average maximal O2 consumption. The peak concentration of lactate at exhaustion was not affected by dichloroacetate treatment, but dichloroacetate did lower lactate concentration throughout recovery. These results suggest that a limitation in pyruvate dehydrogenase activity contributes to the increase in plasma lactate during submaximal exercise and recovery.  相似文献

Six men were studied during exercise to exhaustion on a cycle ergometer at 73% of VO2max following ingestion of glycerol, glucose or placebo. Five of the subjects exercised for longer on the glucose trial compared to the placebo trial (p less than 0.1; 108.8 vs 95.9 min). Exercise time to exhaustion on the glucose trial was longer (p less than 0.01) than on the glycerol trial (86.0 min). No difference in performance was found between the glycerol and placebo trials. The ingestion of glucose (lg X kg-1 body weight) 45 min before exercise produced a 50% rise in blood glucose and a 3-fold rise in plasma insulin at zero min of exercise. Total carbohydrate oxidation was increased by 26% compared to placebo and none of the subjects exhibited a fall in blood glucose below 4 mmol X 1-1 during the exercise. The ingestion of glycerol (lg X kg-1 body weight) 45 min before exercise produced a 340-fold increase in blood glycerol concentration at zero min of exercise, but did not affect resting blood glucose or plasma insulin levels; blood glucose levels were up to 14% higher (p less than 0.05) in the later stages of exercise and at exhaustion compared to the placebo or glucose trials. Both glycerol and glucose feedings lowered the magnitude of the rise in plasma FFA during exercise compared to placebo. This study was performed to assess how magnesium supplementation affects plasma lactate levels at rest and exhaustion in sportsmen and sedentary. Research was performed on 30 healthy subjects varying between 18-22 years of age for a four-week period. Subjects were separated into 3 groups: Group 1; sedentary taking magnesium supplementation only (10 mg/kg/day) (Mg + S), Group 2; subjects magnesium supplemented + training 90-120 min 5 days a week (Mg + Training), Group 3; training 90-120 min 5 days a week. Lactate levels of the groups were measured 4 times; at rest and exhaustion in the beginning of the research and after the end of the research. At the end of the research, exhaustion measurements both before and after supplement were found significantly higher than rest measurements in terms of lactate levels (p < 0.05). An important decrease was determined in the lactate levels of the 1st and 2nd groups when compared to their first measurements (p < 0.05). The results of this research indicate that lactate increases with exhaustion. However, magnesium supplement may positively affect performance of sportsmen by decreasing their lactate levels.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to find the effect of endurance training and thiamine supplementation on anti-fatigue during the exercise. Each nine students from K Women’s University went through three cross-over treatments: placebo treatment, training treatment and thiamine treatment. Training treatment was performed with bicycle ergometer exercise for four weeks (five days per week). Each exercise was performed for an hour with intensity set at 70% (50rpm) of maximal oxygen uptake. Thiamine treatment group was given 10mg of thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide per one kilogram for four weeks. The bicycle ergometer exercise was performed at 70% of maximal oxygen uptake in exercise intensity which 60 minutes of exercise was performed at 50rpm . Lactate concentration was significantly decreased during 15 to 30 minutes of exercise for those with training treatment and 15 to 60 minutes of exercise for those with thiamine treatment compared to placebo treatment group. Ammonia concentration was significantly decreased during 15 to 60 minutes of exercise and 15 to 30 minutes of recovery for those with training and thiamine treatment compared to placebo treatment. Resting blood thiamine concentrations of placebo treatment were significantly lower than training treatment. 60 minutes after the exercise, plasma thiamine concentration was significantly increased in all treatment group. To sum up the previous, thiamine intake during exercise positively benefits carbohydrate metabolism in a way that will decrease lactate concentration, ammonia concentration, and anti- fatigue by reducing the RPE. Therefore, we can consider thiamine intake to be utilized as similar benefits as endurance training.  相似文献

Eight healthy men exercised to exhaustion on a cycle ergometer at a work load of 176 +/- 9 (SE) W corresponding to 67% (range 63-69%) of their maximal O2 uptake (exercise I). Exercise of the same work load was repeated after 75 min of recovery (exercise II). Exercise duration (range) was 65 (50-90) and 21 (14-30) min for exercise I and II, respectively. Femoral venous blood samples were obtained before and during exercise and analyzed for NH3 and lactate. Plasma NH3 was 12 +/- 2 and 19 +/- 6 mumol/l before exercise I and II, respectively and increased during exercise to exhaustion to peak values of 195 +/- 29 (exercise I) and 250 +/- 30 (exercise II) mumol/l, respectively. Plasma NH3 increased faster during exercise II compared with exercise I and at the end of exercise II was threefold higher than the value for the corresponding time of exercise I (P less than 0.001). Blood lactate increased during exercise I and after 20 min of exercise was 3.7 +/- 0.4 mmol/l and remained unchanged until exhaustion. During exercise II blood lactate increased less than during exercise I. It is concluded that long-term exercise to exhaustion results in large increases in plasma NH3 despite relatively low levels of blood lactate. It is suggested that the faster increase in plasma NH3 during exercise II (vs. exercise I) reflects an increased formation in the working muscle that may be caused by low glycogen levels and impairment of the ATP resynthesis.  相似文献

The present study was undertaken to examine the effect of carbohydrate ingestion on plasma and muscle ammonia (NH(3) denotes ammonia and ammonium) accumulation during prolonged exercise. Eleven trained men exercised for 2 h at 65% peak pulmonary oxygen consumption while ingesting either 250 ml of an 8% carbohydrate-electrolyte solution every 15 min (CHO) or an equal volume of a sweet placebo. Blood glucose and plasma insulin levels during exercise were higher in CHO, but plasma hypoxanthine was lower after 120 min (1.7 +/- 0.3 vs. 2.6 +/- 0.1 micromol/l; P < 0. 05). Plasma NH(3) levels were similar at rest and after 30 min of exercise in both trials but were lower after 60, 90, and 120 min of exercise in CHO (62 +/- 9 vs. 76 +/- 9 micromol/l; P < 0.05). Muscle NH(3) levels were similar at rest and after 30 min of exercise but were lower after 120 min of exercise in CHO (1.51 +/- 0.21 vs. 2.07 +/- 0.23 mmol/kg dry muscle; P < 0.05; n = 5). These data are best explained by carbohydrate ingestion reducing muscle NH(3) production from amino acid degradation, although a small reduction in net AMP catabolism within the contracting muscle may also make a minor contribution to the lower tissue NH(3) levels.  相似文献

This study was performed to assess how 4 weeks of magnesium supplementation and exercise affect the free and total plasma testosterone levels of sportsmen practicing tae kwon do and sedentary controls at rest and after exhaustion. The testosterone levels were determined at four different periods: resting before supplementation, exhaustion before supplementation, resting after supplementation, and exhaustion after supplementation in three study groups, which are as follows: Group 1—sedentary controls supplemented with 10 mg magnesium per kilogram body weight. Group 2—tae kwon do athletes practicing 90–120 min/day supplemented with 10 mg magnesium per kilogram body weight. Group 3—tae kwon do athletes practicing 90–120 min/day receiving no magnesium supplements. The free plasma testosterone levels increased at exhaustion before and after supplementation compared to resting levels. Exercise also increased testosterone levels relative to sedentary subjects. Similar increases were observed for total testosterone. Our results show that supplementation with magnesium increases free and total testosterone values in sedentary and in athletes. The increases are higher in those who exercise than in sedentary individuals.  相似文献

Eight endurance-trained men cycled to volitional exhaustion at 69 +/- 1% peak oxygen uptake on two occasions to examine the effect of carbohydrate supplementation during exercise on muscle energy metabolism. Subjects ingested an 8% carbohydrate solution (CHO trial) or a sweet placebo (Con trial) in a double-blind, randomized order, with vastus lateralis muscle biopsies (n = 7) obtained before and immediately after exercise. No differences in oxygen uptake, heart rate, or respiratory exchange ratio during exercise were observed between the trials. Exercise time to exhaustion was increased by approximately 30% when carbohydrate was ingested [199 +/- 21 vs. 152 +/- 9 (SE) min, P < 0.05]. Plasma glucose and insulin levels during exercise were higher and plasma free fatty acids lower in the CHO trial. No differences between trials were observed in the decreases in muscle glycogen and phosphocreatine or the increases in muscle lactate due to exercise. Muscle ATP levels were not altered by exercise in either trial. There was a small but significant increase in muscle inosine monophosphate levels at the point of exhaustion in both trials, and despite the subjects in CHO trial cycling 47 min longer, their muscle inosine monophosphate level was significantly lower than in the Con trial (CHO: 0.16 +/- 0.08, Con: 0.23 +/- 0.09 mmol/kg dry muscle). These data suggest that carbohydrate ingestion may increase endurance capacity, at least in part, by improving muscle energy balance.  相似文献

Summary To examine the effects of acute branched-chain-amino acids (BCAA) oral administration following chronic BCAA intake, a group of well trained young swimmers (n = 12) was submitted to a one month chronic BCAA treatment (0.2g/Kg body weight per die; Leu: Val: Ileu = 2:1:1) and a physical exercise test before and after this period of treatment was carried out. The exercise tests (60min swim) were performed in a high circulating BCAA level state which was obtained through oral BCAA administration (or placebo) just before the beginning of the exercise. The groups will be referred to as BCAA/before, BCAA/after, placebo/before, placebo/after. Blood and plasma (antecubital vein) samples were collected from the different groups at different times: on the morning of the day before the test (basal time, rest 0), the following day 30min after an acute administration (oral dose placebo or BCAA acute treatment: Leu 4.8g, Val 2.4g, Ileu 2.4g), just before the beginning of the exercise performance (time 0min, rest 1), at the end of the exercise (time 60min, EE) and during recovery (time 120min, Re). Plasma ammonia levels increased significantly from rest 1 to the end of the exercise in all subjects, but it was significantly higher in BCAA treated than in placebo subjects in both the before and after chronic treatment groups (BCAA/before: from 38 ± 7 to 204 ± 65mmol/l; placebo/before: from 36 ± 10 to 93 ± 29mmol/l; BCAA/after: from 36 ± 9 to 171 ± 43mmol/l; placebo/after: from 30 ± 6 to 65 ± 16mmol/l). Plasma ammonia level increments observed before a chronic one month BCAA treatment were significantly higher than after this treatment (p < 0.05). Plasma alanine was at all times of the test higher before the BCAA chronic treatment than after; this difference resulted significant at rest 0, rest 1 and recovery times (p < 0.05). After acute BCAA administration, plasma BCAA levels increased from 618 ± 52mmol/l to 1893 ± 284mmol/l (p < 0.05) from the onset of exercise and remained elevated throughout the test. Placebo and basal (rest 0) levels both before and after the chronic treatment did not demonstrate any significant differences. Plasma BCAA and BCKA levels, in the BCAA/before demonstrated significantly higher levels than placebo/before at rest 1 time (BCAA/before vs placebo/before: Leu 86 ± 27 vs 620 ± 97mmol/l; KIC 60 ± 3 vs 87 ± 5mmol/l, Ileu 51 ± 19 vs 359 ± 56mmol/l, KMV 26 ± 1 vs 43 ± 2mmol/l, Val 290 ± 79 vs 915 ± 133mmol/l, KIV 14 ± 1 vs 24 ± 2mmol/l). The levels after the chronic treatment maintained circa these differences in the two groups BCAA/after and placebo/after. The plasma BCAA as well as the BCKA levels of acutely treated athletes, in physical exercise, showed a different profile before and after the chronic treatment. The chronic treated BCAA/after group in fact depicted a decreasing BCKA level profile at the end of the exercise and during recovery; on the contrary, before the chronic treatments, acutely treated athletes demonstrated a tendency to increase these levels during recovery. These data seem to confirm that increased BCAA availability, before exercise, result in significantly greater plasma ammonia responses during exercise than does placebo administration; furthermore this increment is lower after chronic treatment. The interpretation of the ammonia data is difficult since the exercise type could have an influence on this phenomenon. The differences in the profile patterns of alanine, BCAA and BCKA levels seem to indicate that the chronic treatment brings about a state in which there is a better use of BCAA compounds as energy supply.Name and location where the investigations were carried out.  相似文献

We investigated the effects of acute exhaustive exercise and β-carotene supplementation on urinary 8-hydroxy-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) excretion in healthy nonsmoking men. Fourteen untrained male (19-22 years old) volunteers participated in a double blind design. The subjects were randomly assigned to either the β-carotene or placebo supplement group. Eight subjects were given 30 mg of β-carotene per day for 1 month, while six subjects were given a placebo for the same period. All subjects performed incremental exercise to exhaustion on a bicycle ergometer both before and after the 1-month β-carotene supplementation period. The blood lactate and pyruvate concentrations significantly increased immediately after exercise in both groups. The baseline plasma p-carotene concentration was significantly 17-fold higher after β-carotene supplementation. The plasma β-carotene decreased immediately after both trials of exercise, suggesting that β-carotene may contribute to the protection of the increasing oxidative stress during exercise. Both plasma hypoxanthine and xanthine increased immediately after exercise before and after supplementation. This thus suggests that both trials of exercise might enhance the oxidative stress. The 24-h urinary excretion of 8-OHdG was unchanged for 3 days after exercise before and after supplementation in both groups. However, the baseline urinary excretion of 8-OHdG before exercise tended to be lower after β-carotene supplementation. These results thus suggest that a single bout of incremental exercise does not induce the oxidative DNA damage, while β-carotene supplementation may attenuate it.  相似文献

To study the effects of exercise intensity and duration on excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), 8 men [age = 27.6 (SD 3.8) years, VO2max = 46.1 (SD 8.5) ml min-1 kg-1] performed four randomly assigned cycle-ergometer tests (20 min at 60% VO2max, 40 min at 60% VO2max, 20 min at 70% VO2max, and 40 min at 70% VO2max). O2 uptake, heart rate and rectal temperature were measured before, during, and for 1 h following the exercise tests. Blood for plasma lactate measurements was obtained via cannulae before, and at selected times, during and following exercise. VO2 rapidly declined to preexercise levels following each of the four testing sessions, and there were no differences in EPOC between the sessions. Blood lactate and rectal temperature increased (P < 0.05) with exercise, but had returned to preexercise levels by 40 min of recovery. The results indicate that VO2 returned to resting levels within 40 min after the end of exercise, regardless of the intensity (60% and 70% VO2max) or duration (20 min and 40 min) of the exercise, in men with a moderate aerobic fitness level.  相似文献

Summary Lactate removal and glycogen replenishment were studied in the lizardSceloporus occidentalis following exhaustion at 35°C. Whole body lactate concentrations and oxygen consumption were measured inSceloporus at rest, after 2 min vigorous exercise and at intervals during a 150 min recovery period. Lactate concentrations peaked at 2.2 mg/g (24 mM) after exercise and returned to resting levels after 90 min. Oxygen consumption returned to resting rates after 66 min. In a second set of experiments, glycogen and lactate concentrations of liver, hindlimb and trunk musculature were measured over the same time periods of exercise and recovery. The decrease in muscle glycogen following exercise was identical (mg/g) to the increase in muscle lactate, and the stoichiometric and temporal relationships between lactate removal and glycogen replenishment during the recovery period were also similar. Glycogen replenishment was rapid (within 150 min) and complete in fastedSceloporus. Dietary supplement of carbohydrate during 48 h of recovery led to supercompensation of glycogen stores in the muscle (+66%) and liver (+800%). The changes were similar to the seasonal differences measured inSceloporus from the field.  相似文献

Five men were studied during exercise to exhaustion on an electrically braked cycle ergometer at 70% of VO2max. The four experimental treatments were as follows: fasted for 36 h (A); fasted (36 h) and refed with glucose (B) or glycerol (C); postabsorptive (overnight fast, D). In B and C the subjects were given a drink containing glucose or glycerol (1g per kg body weight) 45 min before starting exercise. A placebo drink was given 45 min before exercise on treatments A and D. Despite an increased availability of circulating free fatty acids, beta-hydroxybutyrate and glycerol exercise time to exhaustion was significantly lower after fasting (treatment A 77.7 +/- 6.8 min) compared with treatment D (119.5 +/- 5.8 min). Refeeding with glucose or glycerol did not significantly improve performance (92.4 +/- 11.8 min and 80.8 +/- 3.6 min respectively) compared with treatment A and lowered circulating levels of FFA and beta-HB during exercise compared with A. Despite the probability of low liver glycogen levels after fasting, none of the subjects became hypoglycaemic (blood glucose less than 4 mmol.l-1) during exercise and their blood lactate concentrations were not high at exhaustion. Plasma levels of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) decreased progressively during exercise on treatments A, B and C and were considerably lower at exhaustion compared with treatment D. Falling plasma concentrations of BCAA during prolonged exercise may be implicated in the generation of central fatigue.  相似文献

The effects of menstrual cycle phase and carbohydrate (CHO) supplementation were investigated during prolonged exercise. Nine healthy, moderately trained women cycled at 70% peak O(2) consumption until exhaustion. Two trials were completed during the follicular (Fol) and luteal (Lut) phases of the menstrual cycle. Subjects consumed 0.6 g CHO. kg body wt(-1). h(-1) (5 ml/kg of a 6% CHO solution every 30 min beginning at min 30 of exercise) or a placebo drink (Pl) during exercise. Time to exhaustion during CHO increased from Pl values (P < 0.05) by 14.4 +/- 8.5 (Fol) and 11.4 +/- 7.1% (Lut); no differences were observed between menstrual cycle phases. CHO attenuated (P < 0.05) the decrease in plasma glucose and insulin and the increase in plasma free fatty acids, tryptophan, epinephrine, and cortisol observed during Pl for both phases. Plasma alanine, glutamine, proline, and isoleucine were lower (P < 0.05) in Lut than in Fol phase. CHO resulted in lower (P < 0.05) plasma tyrosine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, and phenylalanine. These results indicate that the menstrual cycle phase does not alter the effects of CHO supplementation on performance and plasma levels of related substrates during prolonged exercise.  相似文献

Six trained cyclists (high-fitness group) and six untrained individuals (low-fitness group), performed a 20-min cycle ergometer exercise test at 70% of maximum oxygen consumption ( followed by a 30-min rest period and then an incremental ride to exhaustion on two occasions, 1 week apart. Ninety minutes prior to exercise subjects consumed a drink containing either 22.2 g dibasic calcium phosphate (DCP; treatment) or calcium carbonate (placebo). Blood was drawn prior to drink ingestion, during submaximal exercise, during recovery and at exhaustion for determination of blood 2,3-DPG, blood ATP, plasma lactate, plasma phosphate, haemoglobin and haematocrit. Throughout exercise, cardiorespiratory variables [oxygen uptake ( minute ventilation, ( ), respiratory exchange ratio, heart rate and oxygen pulse] were monitored, and ratings of perceived exertion obtained. Although there was a trend for the low-fitness group to have a higher plasma phosphate concentration prior to treatment ingestion, no treatment effects on plasma phosphate were noted at any sample time in either group. 2,3-DPG, oxygen pulse, time to exhaustion and were significantly higher in the high-fitness group; however, no differences in these variables were observed as a result of phosphate ingestion. Plasma lactate was significantly lower in the high-fitness group during the submaximal exercise and the recovery period, but again phosphate ingestion had no effect. These results suggest that acute DCP supplementation is not effective as an ergogenic aid and that aerobic fitness level does not affect the response to phosphate supplementation.  相似文献

A double-blind randomized study was performed to evaluate the effect of oral ribose supplementation on repeated maximal exercise and ATP recovery after intermittent maximal muscle contractions. Muscle power output was measured during dynamic knee extensions with the right leg on an isokinetic dynamometer before (pretest) and after (posttest) a 6-day training period in conjunction with ribose (R, 4 doses/day at 4 g/dose, n = 10) or placebo (P, n = 9) intake. The exercise protocol consisted of two bouts (A and B) of maximal contractions, separated by 15 s of rest. Bouts A and B consisted of 15 series of 12 contractions each, separated by a 60-min rest period. During the training period, the subjects performed the same exercise protocol twice per day, with 3-5 h of rest between exercise sessions. Blood samples were collected before and after bouts A and B and 24 h after bout B. Knee-extension power outputs were approximately 10% higher in the posttest than in the pretest but were similar between P and R for all contraction series. The exercise increased blood lactate and plasma ammonia concentrations (P < 0.05), with no significant differences between P and R at any time. After a 6-wk washout period, in a subgroup of subjects (n = 8), needle-biopsy samples were taken from the vastus lateralis before, immediately after, and 24 h after an exercise bout similar to the pretest. ATP and total adenine nucleotide content were decreased by approximately 25 and 20% immediately after and 24 h after exercise in P and R. Oral ribose supplementation with 4-g doses four times a day does not beneficially impact on postexercise muscle ATP recovery and maximal intermittent exercise performance.  相似文献
