A new genus of apterous scelionid from Lord Howe Island (Hymenoptera; Scelionidae)

Abstract. Psyllobaeus pecki gen. and sp.n., is described from Lord Howe Island, Australia. This genus is unique in the Baeini in that both sexes (not just the female) are apterous, have a sessile metasoma and have a pair of long spines on the apex of the hind femur. The relationships of Psyllobaeus and its biology are discussed.     

New species of Telenominae (Hymenoptera,Scelionidae) from the palaearctic fauna

Four new species of Telenominae of the genera Telenomus and Platytelenomus, collected in the territory of the Ukraine, Hungary, and Japan, were described: Telenomus (T.) bicolorus Kononova, T. (T.) ardens Kononova, (T.) michaylovi Kononova, and Platytelenomus mirabilis Kononova. Brief morphological characteristics of the genera Telenomus and Platytelenomus are given, and some notes concerning biology and geographical distribution of the species are presented. Telenomus (T.) bicolorus differs from all the known species of the genus Telenomus in the two-colored body: head and thorax yellow with brownish tint ventrally, mesothorax and abdomen black. The main distinguishing feature of T. (T.) ardens is its smooth shining body, T. (T.) michaylovi is similar to T. (T.) rudis Kozlov. These species can be distinguished by the structure of their antenna. The second to fourth segments of the antennal clava are transverse in T. (T.) michaylovi and are as long as wide in T. (T.) rudis. In addition, the abdominal stem and abdominal tergite II are smooth and shining, while the abdominal stem in T. (T.) rudis is striate along the entire length, and tergite II is finely striate along half of its length. Platytelenomus mirabilis is closely related to P. danubialis Szelényi, but differs in the strongly flattened body, sculpture of the abdominal stem and tergite II, and coloration of the legs. The thorax of P. mirabilis is 4–5 times as wide as high, the abdominal stem is striate along the entire length, tergite II is striate at the base, and the legs, including coxae, are yellow. The thorax of P. danubialis is 4 times as wide as high, the abdominal stem and tergite II are smooth and shining, and the legs are brown.     

A new species of the genus Anteon Jurine (Hymenoptera,Dryinidae) from Thailand

A new species of Anteon Jurine, 1807 is described from Thailand, Nan Province: Anteon huettingeri sp. n. Morphologically the new species is similar to Anteon borneanum Olmi, 1984, Anteon jurineanum Latreille, 1809, Anteon insertum Olmi, 1991, Anteon yasumatsui Olmi, 1984, Anteon sarawaki Olmi, 1984, Anteon thai Olmi, 1984 and Anteon krombeini Olmi, 1984, but it is clearly different for the numerous sensorial processes present on the inner side of the paramere; these processes are absent in the other above species. Published identification keys to the Oriental species of Anteon are modified to include the new species.     

A new species of the genus Anteon Jurine (Hymenoptera,Dryinidae) from Laos

A new species of Anteon Jurine, 1807 is described from Laos, Houaphanh Province: Anteon holzschuhi sp. n. Morphologically the new species is similar to Anteon semipolitum Olmi, 2008, but it is distinguished by the sculpture of the face partly reticulate rugose and partly with deep punctures similar to areolae; in Anteon semipolitum the face is completely punctate and unsculptured among punctures. In addition, in the new species the distance from the outer edge of a lateral ocellus to the compound eye (OOL) is about 3.3 times as long as the distance between the inner edges of a lateral ocellus and the median ocellus (OL); in Anteon semipolitum OOL is less than twice as long as OL. Published identification keys to the Oriental species of Anteon are modified to include the new species.     

A new genus and species of Metopiinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) from Mexico

A new genus of Metopiinae, Ojuelos Khalaim, gen. n., with a single species, Ojuelos juachicus Khalaim & Ruíz-Cancino, sp. n., is described from Jalisco Province in central Mexico. Ojuelos belongs to the group of three genera (Cubus Townes & Townes, Colpotrochia Holmgren and Triclistus Förster) having a high lamella separating the antennal sockets and reaching the median ocellus (this lamella possesses a dorsal groove in it, just below the median ocellus), but differs from these genera primarily by 1) face and clypeus not convex in lateral view, 2) face separated from clypeus by a shallow transverse impression, 3) mandible with lower tooth very strongly reduced, 4) flagellomeres of antenna strongly transverse, and 5) dorsal carinae of propodeum reduced. A portion of the key to the genera of Metopiinae is provided to distinguish the new genus.     

Indiscelio: A new genus of Scelionidae (Platygastroidea) from India

A new scelionine genus Indiscelio Veenakumari, Popovici and Talamas is described from India with type species Indiscelio aulon Veenakumari, Popovici and Talamas. Both sexes are described and imaged. Affinities with morphologically similar genera are discussed.     

Three new species of Trissolcus ashmead (Hymenoptera: Platygastroidea: Scelionidae) from Bulgaria

Identification key of 20 species of the genus Trissolcus registered in Bulgaria is given. Three species, T. fuscus sp. n., T. simplex sp. n. and T. nigricans sp. n. are described as new for science.     

A new genus and species of Braconinae from Australia (Insecta, Hymenoptera, Braconidae)

Euurobraconoides gen.n. (type-species: Euurobraconoides longicaudis sp.n.) from Australia is described and illustrated. The relationships of Euurobraconoides gen.n. to the Euurobraconini Ashmead and to the Braconini are discussed.     

A new genus and a new species of Xiphydriidae (Insecta, Hymenoptera, Symphyta) from India

Heteroxiphia gen. n. (type species: Heteroxiphia maai sp.n.)from India is described and illustrated. This new genus is related to Indoxiphia Maa and Cingalixiphia Maa, from which it is distinguished by the 3-segmented maxillary palps, shape of the claws of the meso- and metalegs, form of forewing vein 2A and the sculpture of the head.     

A new genus and two new species of Phygadeuontini (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Cryptinae) from China

Carinityla Sheng & Sun gen. n., Carinityla punctulata Sheng & Sun sp. n. and Carinityla pilosa Sheng & Sun sp. n. belonging to the tribe Phygadeuontini of the subfamily Cryptinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae), collected from Jiangxi Province, China, are described. A key to the species of the new genus, Carinityla Sheng & Sun, gen. n., is provided and the genus is placed in Townes' key to genera of Endaseina.     

A new species of the genus Seticornuta Morley (Hymenoptera,Ichneumonidae, Metopiinae) from South Korea

Old World species of the genus Seticornuta Morley are reviewed. Seven species of this genus were recorded worldwide, but only one species, Seticornuta albopilosa (Cameron), was known from the Old World. Here, we report one new species, Seticornuta koreana sp. n., from South Korea, and redescribe the other known Old World species, Seticornuta albopilosa, with photographs.

本文记述了茧蜂科Braconidae潜蝇茧蜂亚科Opiinae印度茧蜂属Indiopius的1个新种：Indiopius alutacius Weng et Chen sp.nov.。这是该属在中国分布的首次记录。建立了世界已知3种的分种检索表。本新种与矮茧蜂I.humillimus Fischer相似,但新种可以由下列特征予以区别：1.并胸腹节革质纹,后缘具短纵脊;2.第1腹节背板长为宽的1.2-1.3倍;3.腹板侧泡明显具齿。模式标本保存于福建农林大学益虫研究室。     

New species of scelionids (Hymenoptera,Scelionidae) of the Israel fauna

Four new species of Scelionidae of the genera Telenomus (subgenus Telenomus) and Macroteleia (Telenomus (T.) ordanus Kononova, T. (T.) lunatus Kononova, Macroteleia israiliensis Kononova, and M. simutniki Kononova) from Israel are described. T. (T.) ordanus differs from the species of the subgenus Telenomus in the presence of short rugae on abdominal tergite II, smooth and shiny abdominal stem, and yellow legs. T. (T.) lunatus, similar to T. (T.) clavatus Kozlov et Kononova, can be distinguished by the smaller size, finer body sculpture, and sculpture of abdominal tergite II. Macroteleia israiliensis differs from M. rufa Szelényi in the more slender body and its coloration, as well as in the structure of the propodeum. M. simutniki differs from M. aurea Kozlov et Kononova in the wider abdomen and in the antennal structure (the 2nd antennal segment is wider, segments of the antennal club are as long as wide).

The Trissolcus flavipes species group is revised. A key to the species of this group is provided. In addition to the diagnostic characters, the localities are listed for each species. Eleven new species occurring in various Palaearctic areas are described. Some body structures are illustrated. The morphological characters of the new species are compared.     

A new species of the chalcid-wasp genus Ericydnus walker (Hymenoptera, Chalcidoidea, Encyrtidae) from West Siberia

A new species, Ericydnus novosibiricus sp. n., is described. The main characters differentiating the new species from the similar E. longicornis Dalman are as follows: female??fore wing noticeably shortened, with almost normally developed veins and rounded apex, marginal vein longer than postmarginal vein, 6th flagellar segment slightly longer than wide, club truncate; male??fore wing noticeably shortened, with almost normally developed veins and pointed apex, flagellar segments subsequently becoming wider toward antennal apex.     

Three new species of imitator-group of the genus Macrophya (Hymenoptera,Tenthredinidae) from China

Three species, Macrophya circulotibialis Li, Liu & Heng, sp. nov., M. curvatitheca Li, Liu & Heng, sp. nov. and M. changbaina Li, Liu & Heng, sp. nov., of the imitator-group of the genus Macrophya Dahlbom(Hymenoptera, Tenthredinidae) from China are described as new to science. A key to all known species of the imitator-group from China is provided. The specimens examined in this study, including all holotypes and paratypes of the new species, are deposited in the Insect Collection of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Changsha, Hunan, China, and the Department of Zoology, National Museum of Nature and Science, Amakubo, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan.     

A new wild, pollinating bee species of the genus Tetraloniella from the Arabian Peninsula (Hymenoptera, Apidae)

A new species of the eucerine bee genus Tetraloniella Ashmead (Apinae: Eucerini) is described and figured from central Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Tetraloniella (Tetraloniella) persiciformissp. n. is distinguished on the basis of coloration, integumental sculpturing, male metafemoral structure, and male terminalia. A floral record of Pulicaria undulata (L.) C.A. Mey. (Compositae) is noted for some of the material. Females superficially resemble those of Tarsalia persica (Warncke) (Ancylaini) in overall coloration but can be distinguished by the typical generic and tribal characters.     

Three new species of genus Myrmica (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) from Himalaya

Three new species of the genus Myrmica are described from the Himalayas. Myrmica curvispinosa sp. nov., Myrmica kothiensis sp. nov. and Myrmica religiosa sp. nov. belong to the Myrmica inezae species group, which is earlier represented by 4 species. Myrmica curvispinosa sp. nov. is described based on worker and gyne, with a report of ergatoid as well. Myrmica kothiensis sp. nov. and Myrmica religiosa sp. nov. are described based on worker caste only. A key to the species of the Myrmica inezae species group has been provided in the following.     

Two new records of Telenominae (Hymenoptera, Scelionidae) from the Rovno amber (Eocene of Ukraine)

Two new scelionid species of the subgenus Telenomus, genus Telenomus, subfamily Telenominae are described: Telenomus (Telenomus) oculus sp. nov. and T. (T.) tetragonus sp. nov. Brief morphological characterizations of the new taxa are given, and comparative analysis of the inclusions described and members of the recent fauna is provided.     

A new species of the genus Palpostilpnus Aubert (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Cryptinae) from the Oriental part of China

Palpostilpnus brevis Sheng & Broad, sp.n., belonging to the tribe Phygadeuontini of the subfamily Cryptinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae), collected from Jiangxi Province, China, is described. A key to the described species of the genus Palpostilpnus Aubert, 1961, is provided.
