The bryophyte collections of Wabash College Herbarium (WAB) now at the New York Botanical Garden (NY)

The bryophyte portion of the Wabash College Herbarium (WAB) consists of the personal herbaria of two faculty members: Drs. R. L. Laubengayer and A. R. Bechtel. Together, there were 1483 packets of bryophyte specimens. Most of the collections are from New York, Indiana, and Puerto Rico. Among them, ten represent new county records for New York mosses.Pseudocrossidium aureum is reported as new to California.Orthotrichum sordidum andPylaisiella selwynii are newly identified from a Puerto Rican collection by Laubengayer. The West Indian records of these two species, however, are only doubtfully accepted. In addition, a short biographical sketch is presented for R. L. Laubengayer.     

The lichen collection of DePauw University assembled by Winona Welch,complete cryptogamist

Winona Welch's contributions to lichenology are reviewed. An index of the collectors of lichens represented in the DePauw University Herbarium (DPU), now at the New York Botanical Garden (NY), and lists of the Indiana lichen records included are presented. The gift of a few lichens from Wabash, College (WAB) is noted.     

A brief history of the Wellesley College Herbarium (WELC) and a list of its type specimens of vascular plants now deposited at The New York Botanical Garden Herbarium (NY)

The majority of the Wellesley College Herbarium (62, 193 specimens) has been intercalated into The New York Botanical Garden Herbarium (NY). Duplicated collections were distributed to other herbaria. Most specimens has been collected between 1850 and 1940. A brief history of the Wellesley Herbarium is given, and lists of the vascular plant type specimens and of some notable collectors of vascular plants are appended.     

马蹄纹天竺葵柄锈菌在中国的发现

马蹄纹天竺葵柄锈菌(Puccinia pelargonii-zonalisDoidge)最初在1926年发现于南非,随寄主植物已传播到新西兰、澳大利亚、欧洲和美洲,严重危害天竺葵属花卉。我们在昆明西南林学院校园内的天竺葵(Pelargo-niumhortorumBailey)上发现此菌,植株受害严重。此菌在我国从未报道过,可以肯定是外来入侵种,它通过何种渠道侵入我国,尚待考证。本文对此菌的形态特征作了描述,并对相关知识作了简要介绍。研究标本保存于西南林学院标本室(HMSFC)和中国科学院菌物标本馆(HMAS)。     

宽囊异型兰,中国大陆兰科一新记录种

报道了中国大陆兰科异型兰属一新记录种:宽囊异型兰(Chiloschista parishii Seidenf.),并提供特征描述及彩色图片.凭证标本保存于福建农林大学林学院树木标本室(FJFC).     

The herbarium of Paul A. Fryxell (pf) and U.S. Department of Agriculture, College Station, Texas, integrated into The New York Botanical Garden Herbarium (NY)

The herbarium specimens amassed by Paul A. Fryxell while working at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, College Station, Texas, were moved in October 1993 to The New York Botanical Garden and integrated into the Herbarium in 1994. The collection is particularly rich in specimens of the Malvaceae and other families of the Malvales, the areas of Fryxell’s taxonomic specialty. Also included is the cotton reference herbarium of the former Cotton Branch of the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, which consists of voucher specimens of germplasm introductions of cotton (Gossypium) from expeditions and from test plots in the United States and Mexico. A total of 19,918 specimens, including 167 type specimens, have been incorporated into The New York Botanical Garden Herbarium.     

球针壳属一新种

本文报道采自云南省丽江县,寄生在腺毛木兰Indigofera scabrida Dunn.(Leguminosae)上的球针壳属一新种,即小疣球针壳Phyllactinla verruculosa Xie.新种有汉文和拉丁文描述。     

小朱兰在广东的首次记录及其意义

报道了广东省朱兰属1新记录——小朱兰,并论述了它的分类学、区系学意义。     

中国文字衣属地衣新记录种

报道采自福建武夷山文字衣属的两个中国新记录种,即裂隙文字衣和肿胀文字衣。在形态学、解剖学和化学方面对它们分别进行了简短描述。此外,还提供了形态特征和内部解剖照片。研究所用标本保存于山东农业大学生命科学学院地衣标本室(LHS)。     

福建被子植物分布新记录Ⅺ

在福建省中药资源普查过程中，在东山、寿宁、浦城等地陆续发现福建省新记录植物5种，即银花苋(Gomphrena celosioides Mart.)、琉球乳豆(Galactia tashiroi Maxim.)、三裂叶豇豆[Vigna trilobata (L.) Verdc.]、红毛过路黄(Lysimachia rufipilosa Y. Y. Fang et C. Z. Zheng)、浅裂沼兰[Crepidium acuminata (D. Don) Szlachetko]，凭证标本存放于福建中医药大学中药资源标本馆(FJTCM)。     

叉丝单囊壳属一新种

本文报导采自福建省武夷山的白粉菌一个新种,即寄生于蔷薇科福建野樱上的新种武夷山叉丝单囊壳(Podosphaera wuyishanensis Z.X.Chen et Yao)。新种有汉文和拉丁文描述,以及建立新种的讨论。     

新疆的刺球座属、穴壳属及普氏腔孢属

本文报道了新疆腔菌纲座囊菌目刺球座属(Lasiobotrys)、穴壳属(Dothiora)和普氏腔孢属(Plowrightia)的六种子囊菌,即:忍冬刺球座菌(L.loniccrae)、花楸穴壳菌 (D.sorbi)及其无性阶段花楸疡壳孢(Dothichiza sorbi)、茶蔗子普氏腔孢菌(P.ribesia)、小檗普氏腔孢菌(P.berberidiJ)、沙棘普氏腔孢菌(P.hippophaeos)及雕刻普氏腔孢菌(P.insculpta)。这三个属的真菌在我国均未报道过,为我国新纪录属(种)。标本均采于新疆,保存于新疆八一农学院植保系真菌标本室(HMAAC)。     

新疆的已知锈菌

新疆地处亚洲中部,地域广大,是我国主要的荒漠植被区,植物区系以中亚成分为最重要的组成者.新疆锈菌区系具明显的中亚特色,特有的中亚种很多,为我国其他地区所无,区系组成有别于我国其他地区,因此新疆锈菌区系研究对了解中国锈菌区系全貌至关重要.报告的16属(含3个无性型式样属)181种(不含变种)系作者多年来在新疆进行区系调查和分类的初步成果.所依据的标本多数为作者所采,一些为其他采集者提供,保藏于中国科学院菌物标本馆(HMAS)、新疆农业大学菌物标本馆(HMAAC)和塔里木大学菌物标本馆(HMUT).名录部分包括锈菌名称、寄主植物及采集地.这是迄今为止最全面记载新疆锈菌物种多样性的本底资料,是今后编写新疆锈菌志的基础.必须指出,作者的调查尚不充分,许多地区尤其是昆仑山、喀喇昆仑山、阿尔金山、天山南脉及帕米尔地区涉足甚少,本名录尚需进一步完善.     

安徽种子植物增补及地理新分布（三）

再次增补《安徽植物志》未记入的植物22种和1变种。其中18种和1变种为安徽植物地理新分布,6属为安徽省地理新分布,归化新记录植物4种。     

生于蔷薇科植物上的链格孢属真菌一新种

报道生于蔷薇科植物枇杷Eriobotrya japonica叶片上的链格孢属一新种,对该种结合形态描述及分子系统学分析明晰其分类地位。命名为枇杷链格孢Alternaria eriobotryae。研究标本保藏于贵州大学植物病理学实验室（HGUP）和中国科学院菌物标本馆（HMAS）。     

新疆醉马芨芨上柄锈菌属一新种

本文报道了寄生在禾本科植物醉马芨芨[Achnatherum inebrians(Hance) Keng]上的柄锈菌属(Puccinia)一新种,即醉马芨芨柄锈菌(Puccinia achnatheri-inebriantis Z. Y. Zhao sp. nov.)。上述新种有汉文和拉丁文描述,并有新种与羽茅柄锈近似种的讨论。     

球针壳属一新种和一新组合

本文报道了球针壳属(Phyllactinia)的一个新种和一个新组合,即寄生于杜鹃花科(Ericaceae)吊钟花属(ENkianthus)灯笼花(E.chinensis Franch)上的灯笼花球针壳(Phyllactiniaenkianthi z.y. zhao sp. nov.)和寄生于茶藨子科(Grossulariaceae)茶藨子(Ribes sp.)上的茶藨子球针壳(Phyllactinia ribesii(Jacz.)z. y. zhao comb. nov.)。上述新分类单位均有汉文和拉丁文描述,新分类单位与近似种有汉文讨论。     

重庆凤仙花科植物1新记录种——太子凤仙花

该文报道重庆市1新记录种——太子凤仙花(Impatiens alpicola Y.L.Chen et Y.Q.Lu),并描述该新记录种的形态特征和生境分布,凭证标本存放于重庆三峡学院生命科学与工程学院植物标本馆。另编制了重庆市分布凤仙花属植物分种检索表。     

栅锈菌属一新种

本文报告在包头市采于茜草科六月雪[Serissa serissoides(DC.)Druce]上的锈菌一新种——六月雪栅锈菌[Melampsora serissicola Shang,R.X.Li et D.S.Wang]。茜草科和六月雪属为栅锈菌属真菌的新报道寄主科、属。     

瑙蒙石斛，中国兰科一新记录种

报道了中国兰科石斛属一新记录种:瑙蒙石斛(Dendrobium naungmungense Q. LiuX. H. Jin),并提供特征描述及彩色图片。凭证标本现存于福建农林大学林学院树木标本室(FJFC)。
