The structure of ribosomal DNA ofBrachypodium and several other grass species was investigated using a heterologous rDNA probe from wheat. Several different rDNA families were present among perennial and annual species within the genus. In contrast to the annual species the perennial species exhibited a very low degree of repeat length variation. An extra Eco RI site and a Hin dIII site were observed in the IGS, which distinguishedBrachypodium from other grass genera. The restriction fragment length polymorphism and length variation of the repeat units have taxonomic value withinBrachypodium and are correlated with the classification ofBrachypodium derived from other data.  相似文献

瑞香属和荛花属为瑞香科瑞香亚科的落叶或常绿灌木,中国西南部是瑞香属和荛花属的重要分化中心。全世界共有瑞香属95种、荛花属70种,中国分布有瑞香属52种、荛花属49种。瑞香属和荛花属的分类学研究一直存在不同程度的分歧。花盘形状和果实类型在传统分类中一直是区分瑞香属和荛花属的典型特征,而花盘形态和果实类型在2个属中存在交叉和过渡,部分植物分类学家根据这些特征将两个属进行过不同程度的归并。该研究采用数量分类法对瑞香属77种(变种)和荛花属62种(变种)植物,选取32个形态学性状进行聚类分析和主成分分析。结果表明:聚类分析和主成分分析均显示两属均未形成单系类群。在主成分分析中,前3个主成分分析的贡献值为35.56%,传统分类中用来区分两属的花盘形状、叶序及果实类型等特征对前3个主成分贡献相对较小,因此,传统分类学中对这两个属进行区分的性状并没有典型的分类学意义。同时,聚类图和主成分分析得到的散点图均不能将这两个属区分开来。数量分类研究结果显示两属植物存在明显的交叉,支持瑞香属和荛花属不是两个独立自然类群的观点。  相似文献

于2012~2013年,以样带法、样方法和无样地法相结合,分4次对蟒河国家级自然保护区猕猴栖息地食源植物种类进行了实地调查,并分析了其区系特征。研究发现:(1)蟒河保护区猕猴栖息地内有维管植物659种,隶属102科374属,其中54科126属261种为猕猴的食源植物,占猕猴栖息地植物科、属、种总数的52.94%、33.69%和39.61%;蔷薇科是食源植物中包含种类最多的科,有16属39种,其次为豆科,含11属23种。(2)蟒河保护区内猕猴食源植物区系特征为:食源植物所在科有6个分布型和2个变型,所在属有13个分布型和6个变型;在属的分布类型中,温带性质分布类型的属占优势,有75个,占总属数的66.96%,其中北温带分布类型的属46个,占总属数的41.07%;热带性质分布类型的属有24个,地中海区、中亚、东亚和中国特有分布成分的属共有13个,分别占总属数的21.43%和11.61%,说明蟒河保护区内猕猴食源植物区系为暖温带性质。  相似文献

To determine the spatial dynamics of Neotropical lotic insect species, specimens were collected from 41 streams on the eastern and western flanks of the Andes Mountains in Ecuador. We examined the manner in which taxonomic richness and composition differed with elevation, latitude, and versant. Statistical analyses were limited to 5 families (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae, Leptohyphidae, Oligoneuriidae; Heteroptera: Naucoridae; Coleoptera: Elmidae), comprising 32 genera and 85 species, for which identifications or morphospecies assignments were reliable. Assessment of taxonomic diversity was based on the richness of genera and species at each site. In addition, each site was characterized by species richness within each of 4 families with more than 10 species. The effects of versant and transect on composition and structure were family‐specific. Mean site differences between versants in elmid richness at generic and specific levels depended on transect. Only baetid richness was affected by versant and transect in a consistent manner. Variation among sites in composition based on all genera and species was captured using multidimensional scaling (MDS). Subsequent MANOVAs based on scores from MDS axes revealed that differences between versants were much stronger in the southern transect, although transects differed from each other at specific and generic levels. A Jaccard's similarity matrix was computed for each family to reflect the spatial organization of taxonomic composition. Mesogeographic patterns of species composition for each of the four families were correlated (Mantel analysis) at both the regional level and at the level of the entire study area. At the regional level, the only pair of families to exhibit correlated patterns of species composition was elmids and naucorids in the southwestern region. The pattern of species composition for each family was correlated with the patterns for one or more other families at the level of the entire study area. Thus, spatial dynamics of species composition was similar for the families examined, suggesting that the Andes exert a consistent influence on species distributions within families, regardless of ordinal affiliation. At a local scale, however, the way in which taxonomic composition changed with latitude and versant was family‐specific. Mayflies, the most vagile of the taxa studied, had the highest percentage of species overlap between versants. Of three genera of Naucoridae collected, species of Ambrysus, of probable Mexican origin, were found only on the eastern versant, corroborating other evidence that the genus is recent in South America. Moreover, dispersion by Ambrysus across the Andes Mountains may not have occurred, as it has for Cryphocricos and Limnocoris, which are of probable South American origin.  相似文献

为了解火棘不同组织内生细菌群落多样性,该研究采用高通量测序技术对火棘内生细菌16S rRNA V5~V7可变区进行测序,分析火棘不同组织部位内生细菌群落多样性。结果表明:(1)从火棘根、茎、叶组织中共获得内生细菌OTU 1 818个,其中根部754个,茎部 308 个,叶部756个,三者共有 OTU 152 个。(2)物种分类显示,不同火棘组织内生细菌具有丰富的群落多样性,火棘根部内生细菌种类隶属于23门53纲137目216科373属557种,其中异样根瘤菌属(Allorhizobium-Neorhizobium-Pararhizobium-Rhizobium)和链霉菌属(Streptomyces)为优势属,其相对丰度分别为 10.57%和 8.00%; 茎部内生细菌种类隶属于21门32纲76目126科204属270种,其中马赛菌属(Massilia)和未知分类的丛毛单胞菌科属(unclassified_f_Comamonadaceae)为优势属,其相对丰度分别为31.10%和12.82%; 叶部内生细菌种类隶属于21门52纲130目210科380属581种,其中土芽孢杆菌属(Geobacillus)和假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas)为优势属,其相对丰度分别为12.31%和9.84%。(3)PICRUSt功能预测表明,根部内生细菌物种最丰富,参与各种代谢调控的细菌丰度最高。该研究结果为进一步探讨植物内生细菌功能,挖掘新的有益微生物资源提供了参考。  相似文献

Pinus krempfii is morphologically very unique as compared to otherPinus species by having flat leaf-like needles. Its taxonomic position has been problematic ever since its discovery. In this study, an attempt was made to infer the taxonomic status ofP. krempfii through restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of 12 PCR amplified chloroplast (cp) DNA regions. Phylogenetic analysis was conducted using 10 representatives of the twoPinus subgenera:Strobus andPinus. In addition, to infer the position ofP. krempfii in Pinaceae in relation with other genera, 14 representatives of eight additional genera were included in the analysis. Our cpDNA-based results indicate that: 1)P. krempfii clearly belongs to the genusPinus. This result does not favour the creation of a new genusDucampopinus in Pinaceae for this taxon. 2) Within the genusPinus, P. krempfii is more allied with species in subgenusStrobus and differs distinctly from species in subgenusPinus. 3) Despite the similarity in certain morphological and anatomical leaf and wood characters toKeteleeria andPseudolarix, the cpDNA data do not support the hypothesis for close relationship betweenP. krempfii and these two genera.  相似文献

  • Fungi have essential functions in plant health and performance. However, the plant-associated functions of many cultured fungi have not been established in detail.
  • Here, the fungal species diversity in Salvia miltiorrhiza roots and rhizosphere was assessed for the first time using culturomics and high-throughput sequencing. We present a comprehensive functional metagenomic analysis of these fungi and verified activity of cellulase and chitinase predicted in the metagenomic analysis.
  • We first collected and cultured fungi from the root and rhizosphere of S. miltiorrhiza. We found 92 species across 37 families and five phyla, with Ascomycota being dominant. Many rDNA internal transcribed spacer sequences could not be assigned to lower taxonomic levels. There were 19 genera of endophytic fungi and 37 genera of rhizosphere fungi. The culturomics approach had lower taxonomic diversity than high-throughput sequencing, but some fungi were only found in cultures. Structural analyses indicated that the dominant species differed in cultured and non-cultured samples at other levels, apart from the phylum level. Functional analysis mapped 223 carbohydrate enzyme families and 393 pathways in the CAZy and KEGG databases, respectively. The most abundant families were glycoside hydrolases and those involved in carbohydrate metabolism. As predicted by metagenomics, we experimentally verified cellulase and chitinase activity for 29 and 74 fungi, respectively.
  • We provide the first evidence of biomass recycling by fungi that are associated with plants. Culturing is essential to reveal the hidden microbial community and critical functions in plant–microbe interactions.

Isolation of endophytic species of Guignardia (anamorph: Phyllosticta) from healthy leaves of 94 plants (91 species and 3 varieties) in 69 genera, 42 families, was carried out in a test site (Kyoto Herbal Garden) to investigate the host range of Guignardia endophyllicola (anamorph: Phyllosticta capitalensis). Species of Guignardia and Phyllosticta were isolated from the leaves of 67 plants (66 species and 1 variety) belonging to 54 genera, 38 families. Among them, 53 isolates from different plants belonging to 43 genera in 36 families were similar in morphology, and sequence analysis of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions of ribosome DNA revealed these isolates to be conspecific with G. endophyllicola. In addition, this fungus was isolated from leaves of various plants collected in different places in Japan and Thailand. Thus, this endophytic fungus has been revealed to live within various vascular plants, angiosperms, gymnosperms, and pteridophytes.  相似文献

The taxonomic positions of the marine genera Alteromonas, Pseudoalteromonas, Idiomarina, and Colwellia within the gamma subclass of the class Proteobacteria were specified on the basis of their phenotypic, genotypic, and phylogenetic characteristics. Gram-negative aerobic bacteria of the genera Alteromonas, Pseudoalteromonas, and Idiomarina and facultatively anaerobic bacteria of the genus Colwellia were found to form a phylogenetic cluster with a 16S rRNA sequence homology of 90% or higher. The characteristics of these genera presented in this paper allow their reliable taxonomic identification. Based on the analysis of our experimental data and analyses available in the literature, we propose to combine the genera Alteromonas, Pseudoalteromonas, Idiomarina, and Colwellia into a new family, Alteromonadaceae fam. nov., with the type genus Alteromonas.  相似文献

The complex occlusal fits between tribosphenic teeth are a rich source of information for taxonomic, phylogenetic, and evolutionary analysis. The degree of fit between upper and lower cheek teeth has been used to refer specimens to species-level taxa, but statistical data on occlusal fit in relation to taxonomic identity have been lacking. We used landmarks on upper and lower first molars of 20 bat populations representing 16 species to assess the degree of occlusal fit (1) between teeth from the same individual; (2) between teeth from different individuals belonging to the same populations; and (3) between teeth belonging to different populations. We found that the fit of teeth belonging to different populations was significantly worse than between those of the same population and that the degree of misfit increased linearly with time since common ancestry, albeit with substantial variance. We used our comparisons to assess the species-level diversity within Batodon, the smallest known placental mammal from the Cretaceous. Our data suggest, with caveats, that instead of belonging to a single species, the specimens assigned to Batodon represent at least two species as different as those belonging to different genera or families of living bats.  相似文献

A total of 202 strains of xylariaceous fungi (183 endophytic strains isolated from 25 plant species of 24 genera in 21 families and 19 saprobic strains), segregated into four clades, were examined by nuclear rDNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence and beta-tubulin coding region analyses to clarify their taxonomic status and species boundaries. Three of the four species clades were assigned to Xylaria cubensis (100 strains), Xylaria grammica (33 strains), and Nemania diffusa (48 strains). Another fungus was tentatively assigned to Nemania cf. bipapillata (21 strains). Comparison of the host plants revealed that X. cubensis inhabited healthy leaves of at least 24 plant species (23 genera of 21 families) as endophytes; N. diffusa was found on 19 plant species (18 genera of 15 families), Nemania cf. bipapillata on 11 species (10 genera of 9 families), and X. grammica on 8 species (8 genera of 7 families). The present results suggest that the major xylariaceous endophytes in tropical plants are likely to be non-host specific, or have a wide range of host plant preferences.  相似文献

The term house-dust mite usually refers to those species of the mite family Pyroglyphidae, that are known to commonly occur, although sometimes regionally, in the dust of human dwellings. These species belong to five genera:Dermatophagoides, Euroglyphus, Hirstia, andMalayoglyphus. Related species ofDermatophagoides have the most world-wide occurrence, the commonest being:D. farinae, D. microceras, andD. pteronyssinus. A correct taxonomic identification of house-dust mites is very important, not only from a biological stand point, but also regarding the consequences of their respective allergenical properties. Several immuno-chemical studies revealed differences between the products of two hard to distinguish sibling species. A preliminary practical taxonomic key for the most common and important house-dust mites is presented.  相似文献

Morphological types of arbuscular mycorrhizas (AM) in pioneer woody plants were examined in an oil palm farm 1 year after reclamation. In total, 18 plant species belonging to 15 genera in 9 families were examined, and the Arum type was found in 12 species belonging to 9 genera in 5 families. In contrast, the Paris type was found in 5 species belonging to 5 genera in 4 families. The number of plant species with Arum-type AM was always higher than that with Paris-type AM in all four sampling plots. All the examined species in Euphorbiaceae, most of which are fast-growing pioneer trees and were dominant in forming the canopy in secondary forests, were found to have Arum-type AM. These results suggest that Arum-type colonization is beneficial for fast-growing woody plant species.  相似文献

Low rates of evolution in cnidarian mitochondrial genes such as COI and 16S rDNA have hindered molecular systematic studies in this important invertebrate group. We sequenced fragments of 3 mitochondrial protein-coding genes (NADH dehydrogenase subunits ND2, ND3 and ND6) as well as the COI-COII intergenic spacer, the longest noncoding region found in the octocoral mitochondrial genome, to determine if any of these regions contain levels of variation sufficient for reconstruction of phylogenetic relationships among genera of the anthozoan subclass Octocorallia. Within and between the soft coral families Alcyoniidae and Xeniidae, sequence divergence in the genes ND2 (539 bp), ND3 (102 bp), and ND6 (444 bp) ranged from 0.5% to 12%, with the greatest pairwise distances between the 2 families. The COI-COII intergenic spacer varied in length from 106 to 122 bp, and pairwise sequence divergence values ranged from 0% to 20.4%. Phylogenetic trees constructed using each region separately were poorly resolved. Better phylogenetic resolution was obtained in a combined analysis using all 3 protein-coding regions (1085 bp total). Although relationships among some pairs of species and genera were well supported in the combined analysis, the base of the alcyoniid family tree remained an unresolved polytomy. We conclude that variation in the NADH subunit coding regions is adequate to resolve phylogenetic relationships among families and some genera of Octocorallia, but insufficient for most species - or population-level studies. Although the COI-COII intergenic spacer exhibits greater variability than the protein-coding regions and may contain useful species-specific markers, its short length limits its phylogenetic utility.  相似文献

Diplocystis wrightii is an enigmatic gasteroid basidiomycete from the Caribbean. It has taxonomic affiliations with Lycoperdaceae, Broomeiaceae, and Sclerodermataceae. This study sampled ITS and 28S ribosomal genes from three D. wrightii specimens to determine the phylogenetic placement and the closest relatives of this species. Results of database searches and phylogenetic analysis indicate this species to be a member of the Sclerodermatineae and most closely related to the genera Astraeus and Tremellogaster.  相似文献

The tribe Rhynchosporeae comprises the genera Rhynchospora and Pleurostachys and has never been studied using molecular techniques. The objective of this study was to use an analysis of trnL-F sequences to evaluate the hypothesized taxonomic divisions within the Rhynchosporeae including the monophyly of the genera and the soundness of the subgenera and sections. A total of 44 ingroup species were studied, 41 of Rhynchospora representing 22 of Kükenthal’s 28 sections, and three of Pleurostachys. Five outgroup species from other genera were also included. The cladistic analysis of 50 trnL intron and trnL-F intergenic spacer sequences resulted in 16 trees and a strict consensus tree. The Rhynchosporeae form two well-supported primary clades with several well-supported smaller clades, many of which agree with previously hypothesized sections. Pleurostachys is embedded within the second primary clade.  相似文献

淫羊藿是我国特有且传统的重要药用植物,逐渐步入大宗品种行列。物种的准确鉴定是药效保障和用药安全的前提,为促进其资源的合理开发和利用,该文对淫羊藿属分类学研究进行系统梳理,并对其中存在的问题及存疑类群进行阐述。淫羊藿属共发表68种,中国58种(85.3%),其中57种为特有分布,具有显著的资源优势。淫羊藿属中国类群的分类学研究较为特殊,共26种集中发表于1990s,共31种(53.4%)为国外研究者命名,且绝大多数依据少量栽培个体命名。由于缺乏广泛的形态调查和性状变异分析,导致大量类群的形态描述不准确或不全面,后续20个类群被归并或降级。依据栽培个体命名的类群是补充描述和分类修订的重点。花色、根茎类型、花茎叶的数量及着生方式等性状在中国类群中存在广泛变异。经分类修订后,该属目前包括46种、1亚种和2变种。淫羊藿属中国组类群仍处于活跃进化中,其形态变异复杂,种间关系无法得到解决,为该属分类的最大挑战。但种质资源的研究和利用需要建立在清晰的分类学基础上。未来研究应基于居群调查,完善各物种的形态描述;在此基础上,整合形态变异特征、地理分布格局和基因序列特征,检测自然种间杂交事件,从而揭示物种的...  相似文献

Naturalization (the establishment of a self-sustaining population for at least a decade) is a fundamental precondition for plant invasion and so compiling a complete inventory of naturalized alien species is necessary for predicting and hence preventing such invasion. However, nationwide information on naturalized plants in China is still lacking. We compiled a nationwide list of the naturalized plant species of China, based on various literature reports. The list comprised a total of 861 naturalized plant species belonging to 110 families and 465 genera. The three most dominant families were Compositae, Poaceae, and Leguminosae, accounting for 16, 13 and 12% of naturalized plants, respectively. Among genera, Euphorbia and Solanum had the most naturalized species, followed by Ipomoea, Amaranthus, Oenothera, and Trifolium. Over half of all aliens were of American origin (52%), followed by those with European (14%) and Asian (13%) origins. Annuals and perennial herbs were prevalent among naturalized species; comparison to other studies suggests however that the invasive potential is higher among plants with longer life cycles than those of annuals. The taxonomic pattern of plant naturalization in China is similar to patterns worldwide. However, the low proportion of naturalized plants within the Chinese flora overall suggests that the potential for plant invasions in China may be high. Therefore, greater attention should be focused on naturalization of alien plants in China, especially concerning species of dominant families or genera, and those with a perennial life cycle.  相似文献

Cypripedioideae (Orchidaceae) have been the subject of numerous taxonomic treatments with conflicting interpretations of relationships among the five genera and the 150–170 species. We have produced nuclear ribosomal ITS nucleotide sequences for nearly 100 slipper orchid species and used parsimony analysis to investigate their relationships. Our results demonstrate that each genus, as currently circumscribed, is monophyletic (Mexipedium andSelenipedium being represented by a single taxon). LikerbcL data, ITS sequences placeMexipedium sister toPhragmipedium. Relationships at the sectional level inPaphiopedilum are largely as described byCribb. However, the division ofPaphiopedilum into subgg.Brachypetalum andPaphiopedilum is not supported; subg.Brachypetalum is paraphyletic to subg.Paphiopedilum. Phragmipedium species are divided into the same three major clades as in the taxonomic scheme ofMcCook. The plicate-leaved genera,Cypripedium andSelenipedium, are successive sister groups to the rest of the subfamily, confirming generally held opinions that they display plesiomorphic characters compared to the conduplicate-leaved genera. A survey of karyotypes in the context of the ITS tree reveals a general trend toward increased chromosome number, probably brought about by centric fission. These data also accord with a previously suggested biogeographic hypothesis of a widespread Northern Hemisphere distribution, followed by range fragmentation due to Miocene cooling.  相似文献
