Six aphid species, viz. Aphis craccivora, Aphis gossypii, Aphis nerii, Myzus persicae, Lipaphis erysimi and Uroleucon compositae were provided as prey to the feeding stages of Coccinella transversalis (Fabricius). All of them were found to be essential prey, however the relative prey suitability varied. All the predatory stages of C. transversalis consumed and preferred A. gossypii, the most and A. nerii, the least. Significant effect of prey quality was observed on pre‐imaginal developmental periods, wet weights and adult longevity. The complete development was shortest on A. gossypii (13.01 ± 0.18 days) and longest on A. nerii (20.51 ± 0.25 days). The total prey consumption by larva, adult male and female in their lifetime was maximum (665.30 ± 5.75, 4831.10 ± 123.54 and 5412.30 ± 94.51, respectively) on A. gossypii and minimum (434.80 ± 4.03, 802.80 ± 34.37 and 905.20 ± 52.48, respectively) on A. nerii. Immature survival, growth index and adult emergence of C. transversalis was maximum (68.33, 7.82 and 88.21%, respectively) when larval instars consumed A. gossypii and minimum (37.75, 2.18 and 60.69%, respectively) after feeding on A. nerii. Female reproduction was also prey quality dependent showing maximum reproductive performance in terms of fecundity and percentage viability, with a highest reproductive period and lowest non‐reproductive period on A. gossypii, followed by A. craccivora, L. erysimi, M. persicae, U. compositae and A. nerii. Regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between: (1) daily prey consumption and relative growth rate, (2) adult weight and developmental rate, (3) weights of adult male and female, and (4) female longevity and fecundity.  相似文献

Life table parameters of the cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover, were estimated on five cotton cultivars (‘ Sealand' ,‘Siokra' ,' Vararnin' ,‘ Bakhtegan' and ‘ Sahel' ). Demographic parameters of the cotton aphid were assessed at 27.5 ± 1 ℃, 65% + 10% RH and a photoperiod of 14:10 (L: D)h. The shortest developmental time for the nymphal stages was 5.5 days on ‘Siokra' and the longest was 6.1 days on‘ Sealand'. The highest offspring per female was 29.6 on ‘Sahel' and the lowest was 15.3 on ‘Sealand'. The rm values varied from 0.272 on ‘Sealand' to 0.382 (day^-1) on ‘Varamin'. Jackknife estimates of the A. gossypii parameters on these cultivars indicated the greatest developmental rate and fecundity on ‘ Varamin' and the poorest on ‘ Sealand' cultivar.  相似文献

The influence of temperature on life-table parameters, fecundity and survivorship of the predatory ladybird, Stethorus gilvifrons , fed on Tetranychus urticae was determined at seven constant temperatures of 15°C, 20°C, 25°C, 28°C, 30°C, 35°C and 40°C. No development was observed at 40°C, thus being regarded as the threshold for the development of S. gilvifrons . The results indicate a significant decrease in male and female longevity with increasing temperature from 15°C to 35°C. The longest and shortest longevity were 18.40 and 12.75 days for males and 17.40 and 8.80 days for females, respectively. The intrinsic rate of natural increase ( r m ) and the net reproductive rate ( R 0) of S. gilvifrons linearly increased with increasing temperatures from 15°C to 35°C, while the mean generation time ( T ) and doubling time (DT) decreased linearly within this temperature range. The highest values of r m (0.240 females/female/day) and R 0 (59.27 females/female) and the lowest mean generation time (17.01 days) and DT (2.88 days) were recorded at 35°C. The maximum (185.50 eggs) and minimum (25.50 eggs) measurement of total fecundity was also recorded at 35°C and 15°C, respectively. The results indicate that temperature greatly affected fecundity, survivorship and life-table parameters of S. gilvifrons , and that 35°C is a suitable temperature for population growth of this predator.  相似文献

SUMMARY. 1. Growth rate of Parameletus minor was greatest between 10.8 and 19.8°C, survival rate peaked at 5.9°C, developmental time was shortest at 14.6°C, and adult size and fecundity reached maximum values between 5.9 and 10.8°C. Growth rate of P. chelifer was greatest between 14.6 and 19.8°C, survival rate peaked at 5.9°C, and developmental time was shortest at 14.6°C. A large adult size was found at 10.8°C, and highest fecundity between 10.8 and 14.6°C.
2. Food quality significantly affected growth rate, developmental time, adult size and fecundity of both species. Both P. chelifer and P minor attained highest growth rate, largest adult size and highest fecundity when the C/N ratio of food was 5.95. Developmental time was shortest at a C/N ratio between 5.95 and 12.8.
3. Nymphs of P. chelifer had a higher temperature 'optimum' for growth than nymphs of P. minor . Growth rate of nymphs of P. chelifer reared on detritus from a seasonal stream (C/N ratio 12.8) was about 3 times that of nymphs reared on detritus from a river margin (C/N ratio 20.9). The corresponding growth rate difference for nymphs of P. minor was only about 1.5.
4. When all life-history parameters are taken into consideration, P. chelifer had a higher temperature 'optimum' than P. minor .  相似文献

The effect of four constant temperatures (21, 26, 31 and 36°C) on biological (survival and duration of developmental stages, fecundity and longevity of females and sex ratio) and demographic parameters (R0, G, rm and ) of Tetranychus evansi was studied in the laboratory under controlled conditions: 75 ± 10% RH and 12L : 12D. The lower thermal threshold was 10.3°C. The shortest developmental time (6.3 days) was obtained at 36°C. Maximum fecundity was recorded at 31°C with 123.3 eggs per female. The highest intrinsic rate of increase (rm) (0.355) was obtained at 31°C. The optimal temperature for population growth seems to be 34°C. © Rapid Science Ltd. 1998  相似文献

Life history and reproductive parameters of the generalist predatory mite Euseius (Amblyseius) finlandicus (Oudemans) were studied in the laboratory at 25 +/- 1 degrees C, with a 16L:8D photoperiod and 60 +/- 15% RH, to investigate its response to different food sources: an eriophyid mite Aceria sp., tulip pollen Tulipa gesnerana L., and two-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae Koch. Total developmental time of the immature stages was the shortest on eriophyid mites, followed by pollen, and then spider mites. Fecundity was highest on pollen (43.69 eggs; 1.63 eggs/female/day), then eriophyid mites (39.73 eggs; 1.37 eggs/female/day) and lowest on spider mites (18.16 eggs; 0.80 eggs/female/day). Intrinsic rate of increase (Rm), net reproductive rate (Ro) and finite rate of increase (lambda) followed the same pattern [pollen (0.168, 27.96 and 1.183, respectively), eriophyid mites (0.153, 20.81 and 1.167), spider mites (0.110, 9.44 and 1.119)]. Mean generation time (days) was the shortest on pollen (19.90), followed by eriophyid mites (20.02), and then spider mites (20.59). Average spider mite larvae consumed by E. finlandicus during immature stages were 9.18 for males and 11.85 for females. Adult E. finlandicus females consumed an average of 166.38 spider mite protonymphs during adult stage compared to an average of 66.55 by males. The number of prey protonymphs consumed per day by females was highest in the oviposition period, lower in the pre-oviposition period and the lowest in the post-oviposition period. The eriophyid mite as a prey recorded the shortest developmental time, while pollen as food recorded the highest oviposition rate in E. finlandicus. The potential of this predator as a biocontrol agent against T. urticae is discussed.  相似文献

Ceratothripoides claratris (Shumsher) is a serious pest attacking tomatoes in Thailand. Temperature-dependent development of C. claratris was studied at seven constant temperatures, i.e. 22, 25, 27, 30, 34, 35 and 40 degrees C. Pre-adult survivorship was greatest (95%) at 25 and 30 degrees C and shortest at 22 degrees C. Egg-to-adult time decreased within the range of 20 to 30 degrees C and at 34 degrees C it started to increase. The lower thermal threshold for egg-to-adult development was estimated at 16 and 18 degrees C by linear regression and the modified Logan model, respectively. The optimum temperature for egg-to-adult development was estimated at 32-33 degrees C by the modified Logan model. The influence of temperature on reproduction and longevity of C. claratris was determined at 25, 30 and 35 and 40 degrees C. Both inseminated and virgin females failed to reproduce at 40 degrees C. Virgin females produced only male offspring, confirming arrhenotoky. The sex ratio of the offspring of fertilized females was strongly female-biased, except at 25 degrees C. Mean total fecundity per female and mean daily total fecundity per female were highest for both virgin and inseminated females at 30 degrees C. Female longevity was longest at 25 degrees C and shortest at 40 degrees C. Male longevity was longest at 30 degrees C and shortest at 40 degrees C. The net reproductive rate (R0) and intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm) was greatest at 30 degrees C while, mean generation time (G) and the doubling time (t) were highest at 25 degrees C. The finite rate of increase (lambda) was fairly constant (1.1-1.5 days) over the three temperatures tested. The pest potential of C. claratris for tropical Asia is discussed.  相似文献

The biology of Kampimodromus aberrans (Oudemans), a predator of the big bud mite, Phytoptus avellanae Nalepa, was studied under laboratory conditions. All experiments were conducted on hazelnut leaf discs in an incubator at 25 ± 1 °C, with 16:8 h L:D, at an average daily relative air humidity of 76%. Observations were made twice daily for the immature stages and daily for the adults to determine developmental time, survival and fecundity. The mean developmental time for females was 6.90 days and for males was 7.10 days, and mean adult longevity for females was 11.67 days. The mean total and daily egg production were 12.67 and 1.85 eggs, respectively. The net reproduction rate (R0) was 7.09 females/female, intrinsic rate of increase (rm) was 0.153 female/female/day and mean generation time (T0) was 12.80 days. The mortality rate of immature stages was 0.66% and the sex ratio was 0.51 female.  相似文献

Abstract. 1. The ecology of the eulophid parasitoid Melittobia australica Girault was studied in the laboratory and field in Jamaica. Further field observations were conducted in Trinidad. 2. The sphecid, mud-daubing wasp Sceliphion assimile (Dahlbom) was the main host in Jamaica, but nineteen out of twenty-two investigated species of sphecid, eumenid and pompilid wasps, and apid and megachilid bees were attacked in Jamaica and Trinidad. The nineteen susceptible hosts suffered an average of 23.6% mortality due to Melittobia. Resin is a totally effective deterrent, spaces within the nest less so. 3. Laboratory studies on Sceliphron hosts estimated that developmental survival was greatest at 26°C and 83% r.h., duration of development shortest at 32°C and 72% r.h., longevity of adult fliers greatest (>13 days) at <25°C and 80% r.h., and fecundity greatest (454 eggs/female) at 28°C and 90% r.h. A separate experiment gave a maximum fecundity of 461. 4. At 27°C and 71% r.h. the duration of development (egg-adult) in the laboratory was 13.1 days for males, 13.9 days for crawlers and 17.4 days for fliers. 5. Field studies showed that developmental mortality was low, while laboratory studies revealed it to be density dependent, ranging from 13% at the lowest densities to 39% at the highest. Estimated mortality at field densities was ~25% on Sceliphron. 6. Field estimates of fecundity gave a mean of 429.5 eggs/female on Sceliphron but are positively biased by superparasitism. Fecundity is probably reduced to about 346 eggs in the field and further to about 289 as a result of superparasitism. Other hosts generally reduced the parasitoid's fecundity, and this always occurs when Melittobia becomes a hyperparasite. 7. Superparasitism in the field on Sceliphron was 2.3 females/host for crawler morph females, 1.2 females/host for jumper females and 1.2 females/host for flier females. 8. A cyclic budget using log10K; values (Freeman, 1976) revealed that the effect of superparasitism (K0= 0.124), the physical environment (K0= 0.078), developmental mortality (K1= 0.125), and the loss to males (K2= 0.020) to be small, but losses of dispersing females (k3= 2.326) to be massive. 9. The individual chance for the three female morphs of finding a new host are very different. For crawlers (which search the natal host nest) it is 0.034 (1 in 29), for jumpers (which search the host nesting site) it is 0.0098 (1 in 102) and for fliers (which seek distant host nesting sites) 0.0021 (1 in 485). Risk is thus directly proportional to distance travelled (cm, m and km). Morph production is related to this risk.  相似文献

The developmental time, survival and reproduction of the cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover (Hom., Aphididae), were evaluated on detached cotton leaves at five constant and two alternating temperatures (15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 25/30, and 30/35°C). The developmental periods of the immature stages ranged from 12.0 days at 15°C to 4.5 days at 30°C. A constant temperature of 35°C was lethal to the immature stages of A. gossypii. The lower developmental threshold for the cotton aphid was estimated at 6.2°C and it required 108.9 degree-days for a first instar to become adult. The average longevity of adult females was reduced from 39.7 days at 15°C to 12.6 days at 30/35°C. The average reproduction rate per female was 51.5 at 25/30°C and 20.9 at 30/35°C. Mean generation time of the population ranged from 10.4 days at 30°C to 24.5 days at 15°C. The largest per capita growth rate ( r m = 0.413) occurred at 30°C, the smallest at 15°C ( r m = 0.177). It was evident that temperatures over 30°C prolonged development, increased the mortality of the immature stages, shortened adult longevity, and reduced fecundity. The optimal range of temperature for population growth of A. gossypii on cotton was 25/30–30°C.  相似文献

Influence of different physiological stages (young, mature and senescent) of Calotropis gigantea leaves on growth and reproductive ability of A. nerii and feeding, prey utilization, fecundity and lipid content of its predator M. sexmaculatus were investigated. Increased reproductive period, total life span and reproduction of nymphs per female of A. nerii were observed when reared on mature leaves. This relative preference of A. nerii and maximum utilization of mature leaves as compared to other physiological aged leaves are mainly due to changes in the chemical composition such as protein, carbohydrate, lipid, amino acid, nitrogen and phenolic of C. gigantea. Further, aphids reared on mature leaves influenced its predator's (M. sexmaculatus) growth, prey utilization and reproductive performances. Fecundity and longevity were high, while developmental time of predator was shorter on mature leaves fed aphid. Maximum prey utilization and increased efficiency of ingested and digested food of predator was observed on mature leaves reared aphid. The results are interpreted and discussed in relation to plant aphid and predator interaction (tritrophic).  相似文献

Abstract:  The endoparasitoid Thripobius semiluteus Bouček was recently introduced to Italy from Israel for the biological control of Heliothrips haemorrhoidalis (Bouché). In this study, some aspects of the biology of T. semiluteus were determined in the laboratory. Developmental time (egg to adult), potential fecundity, realized fecundity, progeny, daily rate of deposition of eggs and several demographic growth parameters were evaluated. Studies of the longevity of fed and starved adults at seven temperatures (3, 10, 15, 20, 23, 25 and 30 ± 1°C) showed that fed T. semiluteus lived longest at 15°C (36.45 days) and shortest at 3°C (1.45 days). Longevity was reduced significantly at higher and lower temperatures than 15°C and when honey was not provided. Development time was measured at six temperatures. Pupae did not complete development at 10°C. The lower theoretical temperature threshold was 9.0°C; the optimum developmental temperature and the upper lethal threshold were 28.0°C and 34.1°C respectively. The most rapid development was found at 30°C, but waSPS suffered significantly higher mortality at this temperature than at other temperatures. Ovigeny index showed that T. semiluteus is synovigenic, with a mean realized fecundity of 78.8 eggs per female. The mean progeny was 68.2 adults per female on fed adults.  相似文献

Aphids are a good model to study insect reaction to habitat change. Temperature is one of the main factors that influences insects. This paper examines the influence of temperature on developmental stages, fecundity, survival rate and demographic parameters of Cinara tujafilina (Hemiptera: Aphidoidea, Lachnidae), connected with decorative plants of the Cupressaceae family. C. tujafilina was reared in a laboratory on T. orientalis at five constant temperatures of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 28°C, 70% humidity and 14L:10D. The pre-reproduction stage varied from 7 at 25°C to 19 days at 10°C. Developmental threshold was assigned at 3.5°C. The longest reproduction stage for the aphids developing was recorded at 25°C, namely 33 days, while the shortest, at the temperature of 10°C, lasted 8 days. At 25°C this species is characterised by the shortest pre-reproduction stage, the highest fecundity, the highest survival rate and the highest demographic parameters, particularly rm (0.17). The results suggest that the optimal temperature for the species is 25°C, and indicate that climatic change will favourably influence its development and increase its role as a pest of decorative plants.  相似文献

Development, reproduction and life tables of Adalia bipunctata (L.) were studied at three temperatures (19, 23 and 27°C) on a mixture of frozen pollen and Ephestia kuehniella Zeller eggs as a factitious food and on the aphids Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) as natural foods. Development time of A. bipunctata on all tested diets decreased with increasing temperature. Mortality was lowest at 23°C, averaging 44.5%, 42.6% and 24.3% on factitious food, A. pisum and M. persicae respectively. The shortest developmental time from egg to adult at this temperature was observed on factitious food (18.55 days). However, the factitious food was inferior to the aphid diets in terms of reproduction, yielding the longest pre‐oviposition period, shortest oviposition period and lowest fecundity. The mean oviposition rate at 23°C varied from 19.94 to 25.03 eggs day?1 on factitious food and M. persicae respectively. The intrinsic rate of increase (rm) on different foods increased with increasing temperature and ranged from a minimum of 0.08 females/female/day on factitious food (19°C) to a maximum of 0.18 females/female/day on A. pisum (27°C). The results suggest that a mixture of E. kuehniella eggs and pollen fully support development of A. bipunctata larvae and can be used as an alternative to live aphids in the mass rearing of the pre‐imaginal stages of the predator. However, reproductive performance of a laboratory population may be better on aphids than on the factitious food.  相似文献

The life table of the indigenous Neoseiulus californicus was studied at different temperatures and 65 ± 5% relative humidity under conditions of 16 h light : 8 h dark (LD 16:8). The total developmental period from egg to adult varied from 3.0 to 14.0 days at 15 to 35°C. Survival to adulthood ranges from 86.21 to 93.94%, with the highest rate at 25°C. The lower threshold temperature from egg to adult stages of females and males was 10.84 and 10.72°C, respectively, and the thermal constant was 57.14 degree‐days (DD) for females and 56.18 DD for males. Total number of eggs laid by each female was the highest (70.38 eggs) at 25°C, whereas average daily fecundity was the highest (3.69 eggs/female/day) at 30°C. The net reproductive rate was the highest (48.49) at 25°C and lowest (26.18) at 30°C. Mean generation time decreased from 19.04 to 11.47 days with increasing temperature from 20 to 30°C. Both intrinsic rate of natural increase (0.284) and finite rate of increase (1.32) were maximum at 30°C. Adult longevity was the highest (42.75 days for females and 32.60 days for males) at 20°C and lowest (22.70 days for females and 15.30 days for males) at 30°C. Sex ratio was female biased and was the highest (78.08) at 25°C and lowest (70.24) at 30°C. Developmental data of five constant temperatures, temperature thresholds and thermal requirements may be used to predict the occurrence, number of generations and population dynamics of N. californicus as an important biocontrol agent of Tetranychus urticae.  相似文献

The tomato looper, Chrysodeixis chalcites (Esper), is one of the polyphagous pests of several economically crops worldwide. Two-sex life table parameters of C. chalcites reared on eight bean cultivars including white kidney bean (cultivars Daneshkadeh and Dehghan), red kidney bean (cultivars Goli and Naz), common bean (cultivars Khomein, Talash and Sadra) and cowpea (cultivar Mashhad) were studied under laboratory conditions (25 ± 1 °C, 65 ± 5 % RH, a 16:8-h light–dark photoperiod). The shortest larval period of C. chalcites was 14.15 days on common bean Sadra. The longest and shortest development time of total preadult was on white kidney bean Daneshkadeh and common bean Sadra (25.77 and 23.42 days, respectively). The highest total fecundity was on common bean Sadra (674.4 eggs), and the lowest was observed on white kidney bean Daneshkadeh (136.7 eggs). The intrinsic rate of increase (r m ) ranged from 0.0976 to 0.1599 female/female/day, which was lowest on white kidney bean Daneshkadeh and highest on common bean Sadra. The net reproductive rate (R 0) was highest on common bean Sadra (265.82 offspring) and lowest on white kidney bean Daneshkadeh (46.88 offspring). The results revealed that the cultivar Daneshkadeh was unsuitable host to C. chalcites in comparison to the other cultivars tested.  相似文献

The effect of temperature on development and survival of Chilocorus bipustulatus L. (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), a predator of many scale insects, was studied under laboratory conditions. The duration of development of egg, first, second, third, and fourth larval instars, pupa, and preovioposition period at seven constant temperatures (15, 17.5, 20, 25, 30, 32.5, and 35°C) was measured. Development time decreased significantly with increasing temperature within the range 15-30°C. Survival was higher at medium temperatures (17.5-30(ο)C) in comparison with that at more extreme temperature regimens (15 and >30(ο)C). Egg and first larval instars were the stages where C. bipustulatus suffered the highest mortality levels at all temperatures. The highest survival was recorded when experimental individuals were older than the third larval instar. Thermal requirements of development (developmental thresholds, thermal constant, optimum temperature) of C. bipustulatus were estimated with application of linear and one nonlinear models (Logan I). Upper and lower developmental thresholds ranged between 35.2-37.9 and 11.1-13.0°C, respectively. The optimum temperature for development (where maximum rate of development occurs) was estimated at between 33.6 and 34.7°C. The thermal constant for total development was estimated 474.7 degree-days.  相似文献

Growth, development and reproduction of a ladybird beetle, Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fabricius) were investigated in relation to seven aphid species, viz. Aphis craccivora Koch, Aphis gossypii Glover, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch), Myzus persicae (Sulzer), Uroleucon compositae (Theobald), Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach) and Aphis nerii Boyer de Fonscolombe on specific hosts. Maximum prey consumption, percent larval survival, developmental rate, weight of different life stages, percent adult emergence, adult longevity and fecundity of C. sexmaculata were recorded on A. craccivora, and minimum on A. nerii. A linear relationship was found between development rate and weight of adult, daily prey consumption and relative growth rate, log weights of adult males and females, and female longevity and total fecundity. On the basis of overall performance of ladybird the order of suitability of prey species was A. craccivora>A. gossypii>R. maidis>M. persicae>U. compositae>L. erysimi>A. nerii.  相似文献

Scopula subpunctaria, is one of important defoliating insect pests of tea plants in China. However, the effect of temperature on its longevity and fecundity had not been reported, and the temperature-dependent oviposition model is lacking. The reproductive characteristics of S. subpunctaria were investigated under eight constant temperatures (13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, and 33℃), with a 14L: 10D photoperid and 65–85% RH. The results showed that temperature significantly influence oviposition period, longevity, and fecundity of S. subpunctaria. The mean longevity of female adults increased from 10.8 days (33℃) to 33.9 days (13℃). Male lived shorter than female did. The mean longevity of males was shortest at 33℃ (8.1 days) and longest at 23.8℃ (17.6 days). Total fecundity of S. subpunctaria females ranged from 15.4 eggs at 33℃ to 279.9 eggs at 22℃. The temperature-dependent oviposition model of S. subpunctaria was constructed based on four sub-models (developmental rate model, total fecundity model, oviposition rate model, and survival rate model). The results of this study would be helpful in forecasting and predicting population occurrence of S. subpunctaria in tea plantations.  相似文献

Laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of diet on the biology of the phytoseiid mite, Euseius finlandicus (Oudemans). The predatory mite was able to develop and reproduce better when fed on the eriophyid mites, Aceria olivi (Zaher and Abou-Awad), Aceria dioscoridis (Soliman and Abou-Awad) and Cisaberoptus kenyae (Keifer). The developmental time of immature stages was the shortest when fed on motile stages of eriophyid mite species, followed by the spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, and then pollen grains of Ricinus communis L., Phoenix dactylifera L. and Helianthus annuus L. Total egg production was highest when the predator fed on A. olivi, A. dioscoridis and C. kenyae recording at the rate of 51.0 50.0 and 43.84 eggs/female, respectively, but lowest on pollen grains, R. communis, P. dactylifera and H. annuus at the rate of 11.96, 5.3 and 2.0 eggs/female, respectively. But, the reproduction was nil on the tetranychid mite, T. urticae. Also, sex ratio of the progeny favoured females, when the predatory mite was reared on the eriophyid preys. E. finlandicus recorded the highest intrinsic rate of increase (rm?=?0.31 females/female/day) when fed on A. dioscoridis, followed by (0.30 and 0.23 females/female/day) when fed on A. olivi and C. kenyae, respectively. In contrast, the lowest intrinsic rate of increase (rm?=??0.31) was noted when fed on H. annuus pollen grains. The eriophyid mite, as a prey, recorded the shortest developmental time and highest oviposition rate of E. finlandicus.  相似文献
