Shell disease syndrome is characterised by the external manifestation of black spot lesions in the exoskeletons of crustaceans. In the present study, gills, hepatopancreas and hearts from healthy (<0.05% black spot coverage) and diseased (5 to 15% coverage) edible crabs, Cancer pagurus, were examined histologically to determine whether this disease can cause internal damage to such crabs. There was clear evidence of cuticular damage in the gills of diseased crabs leading to the formation of haemocyte plugs termed nodules. Nephrocytes found within the branchial septa of the gills showed an increase in the accumulation of dark material in their vacuoles in response to disease. In the hepatopancreas, various stages of tubular degradation were apparent that correlated with the severity of external disease. Similarly, there was a positive correlation between the number of viable bacteria in the haemolymph and the degree of shell disease severity. Approximately 21% of the haemolymph-isolated bacteria displayed chitinolytic activity. Overall, these findings suggest that shell disease syndrome should not be considered as a disease of the cuticle alone. Furthermore, it shows that in wild populations of crabs shell perforations may lead to limited septicaemia potentially resulting in damage of internal tissues. Whether such natural infections lead to significant fatalities in crabs is still uncertain.  相似文献

为了解中华绒螯蟹(Eriocheir sinensis)“水瘪子”病发生发展的过程, 揭示疾病的本质, 对病蟹进行了较全面的病理特点分析研究。根据病蟹肝胰腺颜色, 将病蟹划分为浅黄、浅粉、乳白和灰白4个发病阶段。研究结果表明, 随着病情的发展, 病蟹肝胰腺与蟹重比逐渐减少, 腔液与蟹重比逐渐增加, 肝胰腺管直径逐渐缩小, 各发病阶段病蟹的这些指标都与健康蟹有极显著差异(P<0.01), 病蟹肝胰腺与蟹重比除乳白阶段与灰白阶段之间和腔液与蟹重比除浅粉阶段与乳白阶段和乳白阶段与灰白阶段之间以及肝胰腺管直径除乳白阶段与灰白阶段之间的差异均不显著(P>0.05)和浅粉阶段与乳白阶段之间的差异显著(P<0.05)外, 其他各发病阶段之间这些指标均有极显著差异(P<0.01); 4个发病阶段病蟹6种组织器官中肝胰腺、鳃、肌肉组织和心脏组织病理变化具有相似性, 浅黄阶段主要是以组织器官水肿和萎缩为主, 是一种可逆的组织病理过程, 但在浅粉阶段肝胰腺和肌肉组织出现细胞坏死, 以后发病阶段更为严重, 鳃和心脏组织在乳白阶段出现细胞坏死, 坏死是一种不可逆的组织病理过程, 神经团和肠道组织病理变化不明显。根据不同发病阶段的病理特点, 在未来确定病因后通过消除病因等方法, 只有在病理变化处于可逆状态的浅黄阶段, 病蟹才有恢复的可能, 才有防控和挽救价值, 而浅粉阶段以后的病蟹由于主要器官组织细胞崩解坏死处于不可逆的病理过程, 即使病因消除病蟹已不可能恢复, 这样的病蟹应及时清除, 减少继续养殖造成进一步的经济损失。  相似文献

中华绒螯蟹对Pb和Cd的富集与释放特性   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
应用生物富集双箱动力学模型模拟了中华绒螯蟹(Eriocheir sinensis)分别在Pb浓度为0.25、0.50、0.75mg/L,Cd浓度为0.025、0.050、0.075mg/L的单一水环境中暴露时,蟹鳃、肝胰腺、肌肉和血淋巴对Pb和Cd的生物富集与释放实验,并通过非线性拟合得到中华绒螯蟹对Pb和Cd的富集速率常数k1、排出速率常数k2、生物富集系数BCF、生物半衰期B1/2、富集平衡时生物体内Pb和Cd含量CAmax等动力学参数。结果表明:(1)中华绒螯蟹对Pb和Cd具有明显的富集,蟹鳃、肝胰腺和肌肉中Pb和Cd的含量与富集时间和水环境中Pb和Cd暴露浓度表现出了很好的正相关,血淋巴在富集阶段没有明显的规律。理论平衡状态下鳃、肝胰腺和肌肉中Pb和Cd含量CAmax随着暴露浓度的增大而增大,且成正相关。(2)Pb和Cd在中华绒螯蟹组织器官中的富集具有选择性,开始实验前,Pb在中华绒螯蟹体内的的分布规律为:肝胰腺>鳃>肌肉>血淋巴;Cd的分布规律为:鳃>肝胰腺>血淋巴>肌肉。在实验浓度的Pb和Cd水环境中暴露16d后,Pb的分布规律为:鳃>肝胰腺>肌肉>血淋巴;Cd的分布规律为:肝胰腺>鳃>肌肉>血淋巴。(3)中华绒螯蟹对Pb和Cd的生物富集和释放都较缓慢。经过16d的生物富集,各组织器官中Pb和Cd的含量均未达到稳态平衡。Pb和Cd在组织器官中的生物富集系数(BCF)范围分别为5-51和6-3148,中华绒螯蟹对Cd的富集能力明显高于Pb(P1/2)范围分别为4-9d和8-57d,中华绒螯蟹对Cd的排出能力明显低于Pb。    相似文献

Abstract. This study assessed the effects of long (LD) or short (SD) days on the conversion of [14C]-glycerol to [14C]-glucose and total lipid concentration in organs of the crab Neohelice granulata challenged by a change in external salinity. In the 20‰-acclimated crabs, no difference was found in the concentration of total lipids in the muscle, hepatopancreas, gills, or hemolymph between crabs acclimated to SD or LD. In SD crabs, the total lipid levels in the anterior and posterior gills did not decrease during an osmotic challenge. Only in the posterior gills did the total lipid levels decrease during acclimation to the 34‰ medium in LD animals. The total lipid concentration in the hemolymph decreased after 1 d of osmotic stress in SD, and increased in the hepatopancreas. In LD crabs, the lipid contents decreased gradually in muscle, and in the hepatopancreas on day 3 after transfer to 34‰ medium. In 20‰-acclimated crabs, the gluconeogenesis activity in both sets of gills was higher in LD than in SD animals. The gluconeogenesis capacity decreased in both sets of gills on the first day of osmotic challenge in SD, and in the posterior gills on the third day in LD crabs. These results suggest that in organs of N. granulata , photoperiod affects the metabolic adjustments to an osmotic challenge.  相似文献

Intermoult male and female crabs Pachygrapsus marmoratus and Carcinus maenas were sampled from three sites between the mouth and 25 km upstream in the Gironde, the most Cd-contaminated estuary in France, in order to study the relative importance of natural factors (salinity, sex, weight) and accumulated metal concentrations on metallothionein (MT) concentrations. In the two species studied, higher metal, total protein and MT concentrations were observed in the hepatopancreas than in the gills. In P. marmoratus, MT concentrations were mainly related to changes in the natural factors even if MT and Zn concentrations were positively correlated in the hepatopancreas whereas in C. maenas, the main relationships were with accumulated metal levels. In the case of the natural factors, the most important ones were weight in gills of both crab species, and salinity changes in both hepatopancreas and gills of P. marmoratus. Cd and Cu concentrations in both organs of the two species were inversely related to salinity. The same observation was found for Zn concentrations in C. maenas but not in P. marmoratus. In the hepatopancreas of both species, the highest total protein concentrations were found in crabs from the site with the highest salinity, whereas there were no such differences in the gills. It seems that changes in MT concentrations are linked more to changes in general protein metabolism than to changes in metal accumulation. Thus it was important to examine the storage of metals in other tissue compartments, particularly the insoluble fraction which includes mineral granules which is known to also contribute to trace metal detoxification in invertebrates. In the gills of the crabs, Zn was present mainly in the insoluble fraction, whereas Cd was nearly equally distributed between soluble and insoluble fractions. In contrast, Cu in the gills and all three metals in the hepatopancreas of both species were mainly cytosolic, but this does not necessarily imply a predominant role for MT since the cytosolic fraction also includes other macromolecules which may be the target binding site for accumulated trace metals.  相似文献

To succeed on land rather than in water, crabs require a suite of physiological and morphological changes, and ultimately the ability to reproduce without access open water. Some species have modified gills to assist in gas exchange but accessory gas exchange organs, usually lungs, occur in many species. In accomplished air-breathers the lung becomes larger and more vascularised with pulmonary vessels directing oxygenated haemolymph to the heart. The relative abundance of O2 in air promotes relative hypoventilation and thus an internal hypercapnia to drive CO2 excretion. Land crabs have a dual circulation via either lungs or gills and shunting between the two may depend on respiratory media or exercise state. During their breeding migration on Christmas Island Gecarcoidea natalis maintained arterial Po2 by branchial O2 uptake, while pulmonary O2 pressure was reduced; partly because exercise doubled relative haemolymph flow through the gills. Related species rely on elevated haemocyanin concentration and affinity for O2 to assist uptake but this compromises unloading at the tissues and thus the aerobic scope of tissues. Aquatic crabs exchange salt and ammonia with water via the gills but in land crabs this is not possible. Birgus latro has adopted uricotelism but other species excrete ammonia in either the urine or as gas. Land crabs minimise urinary salt loss using a filtration-reabsorption system analogous to the kidney. Urine is redirected across the gills where salt reabsorption occurs in systems under hormonal control, although in G. natalis this is stimulatory and in B. latro inhibitory. While crabs occupy a range of habitats from aquatic to terrestrial, these species do not comprise a physiological continuum but across the crab taxa individual species possess appropriate and specific physiological features to survive in their individual habitat.  相似文献

Vibrio species' infections are a common sequelae to environmental stress or other disease processes in shrimp, but the mechanism by which the shrimp eliminate the bacteria is poorly understood. In this study, the penetration, fate and the clearing of V. vulnificus were investigated in Penaeus monodon. A bacterial disease isolate from a shrimp farm was identified as V. vulnificus biotype I. Polyclonal antiserum was raised in rabbits against the bacterium and the specificity was verified by ELISA and immunoblot against a range of Vibrio spp. and other gram-negative bacteria. The bacteria were then administered to P. monodon juveniles by injection, immersion and oral intubation. An indirect immunoperoxidase technique was employed in a time course study to follow the bacteria and bacterial antigens in the tissue of the shrimp. Bacteria were cleared by a common route, regardless of the method of administration. Observations in immersion challenge were similar to a combination of those for oral and injection challenges. With immersion, bacteria entered the shrimp through damaged cuticle or via insertion points of cuticular setae. Shortly after entry, whole bacterial cells were observed in the haemolymph and connective tissue. They were either phagocytosed by haemocytes, or broken down outside host cells. Haemocytes containing bacterial cells or antigens (HCB) were observed in the connective tissue and haemolymph. HCB accumulated around the hepatopancreas, midgut, midgut-caecum, gills, heart and lymphoid organ. Free bacterial antigens also accumulated in the heart and lymphoid organ. Bacteria entering through the mouth by oral intubation or immersion were broken down so that only soluble or very fine particles entered the hepatopancreas. Bacterial antigens passed through the hepatopancreas into the haemolymph. Antigens were initially observed in the haemolymph sinuses and subsequently accumulated in the heart and lymphoid organ. Bacterial antigens were released from the shrimp, initially through the gills and subsequently through hepatopancreatic B-cells, branchial podocytes and sub-cuticular podocytes.  相似文献

A disease caused by a parasitic dinoflagellate of the genus Hematodinium was identified in red, Paralithodes camtschaticus, and blue, Paralithodes platypus, king crabs from the north-east region of the Sea of Okhotsk, Russia, during annual stock surveys. No carapace color change was observed even in heavily infected crabs, but diseased crabs possessed creamy-yellow hemolymph, which was visible through the arthrodial membranes of the abdomen and appendages. Several stages of the parasite’s life history, including trophonts, plasmodia, sporonts and macrodinospores, were observed in tissues of infected king crabs. Numerous parasite cells were observed in the lumina of the myocardium, the gills, the connective tissue of antennal glands and the sinuses of nerve ganglia, eyestalks and gastrointestinal tract of king crabs with gross signs of infection. Based on sequencing of the 18S rDNA, it appears that the Hematodinium sp. found in red and blue king crabs is identical or closely related to Hematodinium sp. isolated from crabs of the genera Chionoecetes and Lithodes. Observed prevalences were 0.33% in sublegal male red king crabs, 0.18% in female red king crabs, 0.34% in sublegal male blue king crabs and 0.31% in female blue king crabs.  相似文献

In the present study, the role of eyestalks and involvement of methionine-enkephalin in the regulation of haemolymph sugar level was studied. Bilateral eyestalk ablation significantly decreased the haemolymph sugar levels, whereas injection of eyestalk extract into ablated crabs significantly increased the haemolymph sugar levels. Total carbohydrate (TCHO) and glycogen levels were significantly increased in hepatopancreas and muscle of eyestalk-ablated crabs, with a decrease in phosphorylase activity. Injection of eyestalk extract into ablated crabs resulted in partial/complete reversal of these changes. Injection of methionine-enkephalin into intact crabs significantly increased the haemolymph sugar level in a dose-dependent manner. Total tissue carbohydrate and glycogen levels were significantly decreased, with an increase in phosphorylase activity in hepatopancreas and muscle tissues of intact crabs after methionine-enkephalin injection. Methionine-enkephalin injection did not cause any changes in haemolymph sugar, tissue total carbohydrate and glycogen levels and activity levels of phosphorylase in eyestalk-ablated crabs. These results suggest that the eyestalks are the main source of hyperglycaemic hormone and methionine-enkephalin induces hyperglycaemia through eyestalks.  相似文献

Three species of phylogenetically related semi-terrestrial crabs (Superfamily Grapsoidea--Sesarma rectum, Goniopsis cruentata and Neohelice granulata (formerly: Chasmagnathus granulatus) with different degrees of terrestriality were studied to quantify the accumulation of copper (Cu) in hemolymph, gills, hepatopancreas and antennal gland, and its excretion through the faeces. These crabs were fed for 15 days practical diets containing 0 (A), 0.5 (B), 1.0 (C), and 1.5% (D) of added CuCl2 (corresponding to 0, 0.2, 0.5 and 0.7% of Cu2+, respectively). The amount of food ingested was directly proportional to the degree of terrestriality: S. rectum, the most terrestrial species, ate around 2-3 times more than the other crabs, whereas G. cruentata ate 1.5-2 times more than N. granulata, the least terrestrial. The amount of Cu excreted in the feces was proportional to Cu ingestion, and was 76.8% and 64.2% higher for Sesarma fed diet D compared to G. cruentata and N. granulata, respectively. Sesarma also displayed higher Cu concentration in the haemolymph, gills and antennal glands, but not in the hepatopancreas. A detoxifying mechanism followed by elimination was probably present at this last organ, preventing Cu accumulation. More terrestrial crabs, such as Sesarma, may accumulate more Cu in hemolymph and tissues, showing a correlation between metal accumulation and increased terrestriality. In this aspect, contaminated feed sources with Cu may have more impact in conservation of terrestrial crabs.  相似文献

The presence of xenobiotic contaminants especially metals in coastal waters is a major concern as they are immunotoxic to aquatic animals even at low concentrations. In our present study, mud crab Scylla serrata was exposed to three sublethal concentrations (0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mg/L) of nickel for 30 days under laboratory conditions and the alterations of hematological parameters like haemocyte count, clotting time, haemocyte viability, protein content and immunomodulatory components like phenoloxidase, phagocytosis and superoxide anion generation were measured. In addition, the accumulation patterns of nickel were measured in gills, hepatopancreas and ovary. The accumulation was more in gills when compared to hepatopancreas and ovary of crabs exposed to nickel and was not detected in the control crabs. The results revealed a significant (P < 0.05) induction of superoxide anion generation and phagocytosis activity in the haemolymph of the crabs exposed to nickel when compared to control. On the contrary, the rest of the parameters were significantly (P < 0.05) reduced in the experimental groups when compared to the control. All the studied parameters exhibited a concentration dependent response.  相似文献

In Tierra del Fuego (Southern South America), the stone or false king crab, Paralomis granulosa represents one of the most important crab fisheries. After capture, animals are kept in baskets and exposed to dryness for several hours, when the water flow through the gills is interrupted. As a consequence a concomitant increase of reactive oxygen species begins, triggering oxidative stress. The aim of this study was to determine oxidative stress and antioxidant enzyme activities due to air exposure in different tissues of P. granulosa. Fifty crabs (carapace length >82 mm) were captured in Beagle Channel (54 degrees 50'S, 68 degrees 20'W) during winter 2004. Five groups of 10 crabs each were exposed to dryness at 6 degrees C for 0, 3, 6, 12 or 24 h, respectively. Activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione S transferase (GST) protein and lipid oxidation were measured in gills, muscle, hepatopancreas and haemolymph samples. Almost all analyzed tissues showed antioxidant enzymes activity, which varied with time of air exposure. The maximum enzyme activity was measured after 6 h of air exposure. Protein oxidation levels varied significantly in gills. Lipid peroxidation levels increased significantly in muscle and hepatopancreas. The critical time of air exposure probably occurs at 6 h. Thereafter animals were unable to induce the synthesis of antioxidant enzymes or proteins. This should be taken into account to minimize the stress generated by the commercial capture process.  相似文献

Presence of several isoenzymes of superoxide dismutase (SOD) were demonstrated in tissues (abdominal muscle: 7 number, hepatopancreas: 13 number and gills: 7 number) of mud crabs (Scylla serrata) by employing specific staining of the enzyme in native-PAGE. SOD isoenzymes in tissues of mud crab were found to be thermolabile. The intensity of a major SOD band in tissues of crabs was reduced by the treatment of H2O2 or chloroform:ethanol. KCN treatment resulted in splitting of that major SOD band into two or more distinct bands. SDS treatment resulted in disruption of SOD bands. A sex-specific SOD isoenzyme band of higher molecular weight was observed in gills and muscle in winter and summer seasons, respectively. The observed different SOD isoenzyme pattern in tissues at altered salinities and seasons suggests separate tissue-specific antioxidant adaptation strategies of crabs against abiotic factors.  相似文献

Red crabs, Gecarcoidea natalis, exhibit seasonal activity patterns: low activity during the dry season when they shelter in burrows to avoid dehydration, and high activity during the wet season. Red crabs were examined in situ in the rainforest of Christmas Island to determine if there were underlying seasonal differences in the capacity for exercise and associated metabolism. During both seasons, free-ranging (FR) crabs engaged in their normal activities and, together with crabs induced to exercise for 5 min, were sampled for haemolymph and muscle tissue. Respiratory gases in the haemolymph and key metabolites were measured to assess differences in metabolic status of FR and exercised crabs. Actively foraging FR crabs during the wet season exhibited a relative haemolymph hypoxia (2.9 kPa) and accumulated an extra 3 mmol. litre(-1) of CO(2) compared to the relatively inactive FR crabs during the dry season. Wet-season crabs appeared to be in a state of relative respiratory acidosis compared to dry-season animals. This hypercapnia may arise as a consequence of a relative hypoventilation in animals with a relatively higher metabolic rate during the wet season. Oxygenation of pulmonary and arterial haemolymph was similar and remained high after 5 min of exercise, indicating that the gills and lungs functioned similarly in gas exchange in both FR and exercised crabs. During exercise, venous O(2) reserves decreased and red crabs experienced a mixed respiratory/metabolic acidosis. Similar changes, after 5 min of enforced exercise, in metabolite concentrations, pH and respiratory gas status in the haemolymph during both sampling seasons suggest that the crabs maintain similar capacity to increase exercise during the wet and the dry seasons, despite the differences in underlying physiological status. This is important since after prolonged inactivity during the dry season, with the arrival of moonsoonal rains, red crabs must engage in their annual breeding migration.  相似文献

The edible crab (Cancer pagurus) supports a large and valuable fishery in UK waters. Much of the catch is transported live to continental Europe in specially designed live-well ('vivier') vehicles. During the winter of 2000/2001, many trap-caught crabs from Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK, were reportedly moribund and pink in colour. These crabs generally died before and during vivier transportation. We provide histological, immunological, and molecular evidence that this condition is associated with infection by a Hematodinium-like dinoflagellate parasite similar to that previously reported in C. pagurus and to an infection causing seasonal mass mortalities of the Norway lobster (Nephrops norvegicus). Pathologically, every altered host bore the infection, which was characterised by very large numbers of plasmodial and vegetative stages in the haemolymph and depletion of reserve cells in the hepatopancreas. Due to the hyperpigmentation of the carapace and appendages, we have called this infection 'Pink Crab Disease' (PCD). Similar Hematodinium infections cause 'Bitter Crab Disease' in tanner and snow crabs, which has had a negative effect on their marketability. At present, little is known about the seasonality, transmission, and market impact of this infection in C. pagurus.  相似文献

为了探讨中华绒螯蟹“水瘪子”病病因, 对病蟹进行了寄生虫检查、病原生物分离、回接攻毒及电镜观察等病原学研究, 同时采用常规石蜡切片技术, 以健康蟹为对照, 对病蟹的不同组织进行了病理学观察。结果表明, 病原分析未见致病性生物; 病蟹的鳃、肌肉和肝胰腺发生了不同程度的病变, 主要的病理特征为鳃组织增厚, 鳃腔增大, 血细胞增多, 细胞核边缘化; 肝胰腺组织中单层上皮细胞空泡化, 并出现转运泡, 随着病情的加重, 肝细胞排列紊乱, 转运泡和空泡的数量增多, 体积增大, 且转运泡内内容物增多, 更甚者肝小管基膜破裂、内容物外流, 细胞核解体, 肝细胞出现坏死; 肌细胞的病变特征主要是肌丝松弛变性、细胞核固缩深染。病原学研究和发病情况调查表明该病为非生物性疾病, 依据该病的临床症状、病理变化以及发病原因, 将该病命名为中华绒螯蟹肝胰腺坏死综合症。  相似文献

We have assessed the activity of Na+/K+-ATPase, cAMP, free fatty acids (FFA) and metallothionein (MT) in the posterior gills of the brackish water shore crab Carcinus aestuarii during acclimation to 10 ppt dilute seawater (DSW). Following 3–18 days acclimation in DSW specific activity of Na+/K+-ATPase in native gill homogenates and partially purified membrane vesicles was progressively increased, from 1.7- to 3.9-fold. After short-term acclimation of crabs in DSW with added sucrose to make media isosmotic with the haemolymph the specific Na+/K+-ATPase activity in homogenates was not increased, relative to SW enzyme activity. Moreover, hyposmotic conditions led to depletion of cAMP in gills.In partially purified membrane vesicles isolated from posterior gills, fatty acids with compositions 16:0, 18:0, 18:1, 20:4 and 20:5 dominated in both SW- and DSW-acclimated Carcinus. During a year in which the metabolic activity of crabs was increased, the arachidonic/linoleic acids ratio (ARA/LA) for DSW-acclimated crabs was markedly increased relative to that in SW. Increased Na+ K+-ATPase activity under hyposmotic stress may be modulated at least partially by the changed proportion of fatty acids in the purified membranes of posterior gills. Long-term acclimation of shore crabs to DSW resulted in a 2.6-fold increase in cytosolic metallothionein (MT) content in posterior gills over those in SW crabs. Assuming an antioxidant role of MT associated with intracellular zinc partitioning, the observed MT induction in posterior gills may be considered an adaptive response of C. aestuarii to hyposmotic stress.  相似文献

为研究长期不同水体盐度对中华绒螯蟹(Eriocheir sinensis以下简称河蟹)成体雄蟹渗透压调节和生理代谢的影响, 在不同水体盐度条件下(0、6、12和18)对河蟹雄体进行为期60d的养殖实验, 并分别检测其渗透调节及生理代谢相关指标。结果显示: (1)血清渗透压、Na+、Mg2+和Cl-含量随水体盐度上升而显著上升(P0.05), K+和Ca2+含量有上升趋势, 但各盐度组差异不显著(P0.05); 无论何组雄蟹, 其血清渗透压均显著高于对应的水体渗透压; (2)0组雄蟹后鳃Na+/K+-ATP酶活性显著高于其他组(P0.05), 其他各组间差异不显著(P0.05); (3)就血清生理代谢指标而言, 12组雄蟹血清中甘油三酯(TG)含量显著高于其他组(P0.05), 而尿酸(UA)、葡萄糖(Glu)、丙二醛(MDA)含量和超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性相对较低; 所有组尿素(Urea)、碱性磷酸酶(ALP)含量差异不显著(P0.05); (4)就肝胰腺生理代谢指标而言, 6组肝胰腺MDA含量和-谷氨酰转肽酶(-GT)活力最低, 12组酸性磷酸酶(ACP)和-GT活性显著高于其他盐度组(P0.05)。因此, 适当提高水体盐度可提高河蟹成体雄蟹的血清渗透压及其主要离子含量, 同时降低其后鳃中Na+/K+-ATP酶活性。肝胰腺和血清代谢指标暗示12盐度组雄体的代谢水平相对较低, 具有较强的免疫性能和抗氧化能力。  相似文献

Summary The terrestrial crabsGeograpsus grayi, Geograpsus crinipes, Cardisoma hirtipes andGecarcoidea natalis have a reduced number of gills and show a reduced planar gill surface (SA) compared to aquatic species. Gill lamellae are stiffened and thickened (increasing blood/gas (BG) diffusion distances) and nodules maintain wide spacing between lamellae. Haemolymph is directed through the gill lamellae by rows of pillar cells and in the afferent region an intralamellar septum splits the haemolymph into two parallel networks. Gaps in the lines of pillar cells allow movement of haemolymph between adjacent channels. The afferent vessel distributes haemolymph to the lamella via a number of direct channels including the marginal canal and in large gills with the aid of a long, forked sinus which supplies the ventral and central regions of the lamellae. The marginal canal functions in both distribution and collection of haemolymph; the role varies with species. Potential flow-control sites were identified at the junctions between afferent and efferent areas and where the efferent channels enter the efferent branchial vessel. Each gill receives a branch from the sternal artery which supplies all the lamellae. Transport epithelia is the principal cell type in the gills of all species examined though its location varies between species, either being confined to certain gills or specific parts of the lamellae.The gill lamellae of air-breathing crabs are clearly modified to breathe air (stiffening and presence of nodules), though the overall contribution of the gills to gas exchange has been reduced (smaller SA and longer BG diffusion distances).
