An imidazole-containing tripodal polyamine ligand N(1)-(2-aminoethyl)-N(1)-(2-imidazol-1-ylethyl)-ethane-1,2-diamine (L) was prepared and its dinuclear zinc(II) complex [Zn(L)(H(2)O)](2)(ClO(4))(4).4H(2)O (1) was obtained and examined as a catalyst for the hydrolysis of 4-nitrophenyl acetate (NA). X-ray crystal structure analysis of the complex revealed that the complex features a dinuclear cation unit with a Zn...Zn distance of 8.34A and both Zn(II) centers adopt distorted trigonal-bipyramid geometry. The solution complexation investigation performed at 25 degrees C by means of potentiometric titration revealed that the mononuclear species [ZnL](2+) is predominating in the pH rage of 7.0-9.7 in the solution and the pK(a1) for the Zn-bound water is 8.50+/-0.01. Complex 1 promoted hydrolysis of NA showed a second-order rate constant of 0.046+/-0.004 M(-1)s(-1) at pH 9.0 in 10% (v/v) CH(3)CN aqueous solution at 25 degrees C. The pH-rate profile for the second-order rate constant of NA hydrolysis with complex 1 gave a sigmoidal curve. And the results show that in the hydrolysis process the two Zn(II) centers of the dinuclear deprotonated species do not cooperate with each other and the Zn-bound hydroxide servers as reactive nucleophile toward the ester.  相似文献

Vanadium(V) involvement in interactions with physiological ligands in biological media prompted us to delve into the systematic pH-dependent synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, and perusal of chemical properties of arising aqueous vanadium(V)-citrate species in the requisite system. To this end, facile reactions led to dinuclear complexes (NH(4))(4)[V(2)O(4)(C(6)H(5)O(7))(2)].4H(2)O (1) and (NH(4))(6)[V(2)O(4)(C(6)H(4)O(7))(2)].6H(2)O (2). Complex 1 and 2 were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a=16.998(5) A, b=16.768(5) A, c=9.546(3) A, beta=105.22(1) degrees, V=2625(1) A(3), and Z=4. Complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1;, with a=9.795(4) A, b=9.942(4) A, c=9.126(3) A, alpha=90.32(1) degrees, beta=111.69(1) degrees, gamma=108.67(1) degrees, V=774.5(5) A(3), and Z=1. The structures of 1 and 2 were consistent with the presence of a V(V)(2)O(2) core, to which citrate ligands of differing protonation state were bound in a coordination mode consistent with past observations. Ultimately, the aqueous pH dependent transformations of a series of three dinuclear complexes, 1, 2 and (NH(4))(2)[V(2)O(4)(C(6)H(6)O(7))(2)].2H(2)O (3), all isolated at pH values from 3 to 7.5, were explored and revealed an important interconnection among all species. Collectively, pH emerged as a determining factor of structural attributes in all three complexes, with the adjoining acid-base chemistry unfolding around the stable V(V)(2)O(2) core. The results point to the participation of all three species in aqueous vanadium(V)-citrate speciation, and may relate the site-specific protonations-deprotonations on the dinuclear complexes to potential biological processes involving vanadium(V) and physiological ligand targets.  相似文献

Dinuclear macrocyclic polyamine zinc(II) complexes, which have two cyclen groups linked by flexible spacers, have been synthesized as DNA cleavage agents. The structures of these new dinuclear complexes are consistent with the data obtained from elemental analysis, MS and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The catalytic activity of these dinuclear complexes on DNA cleavage was studied. The results showed that the dinuclear zinc(II) complexes can catalyze the cleavage of supercoiled DNA (pUC 19 plasmid DNA) (Form I) under physiological conditions to produce selectively nicked DNA (Form II).  相似文献

The interaction of copper (II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II) with Trimethoprim (2,4-diamino-5-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidine) has been studied. The crystal structures of [Zn(Trim)2Cl2] (2) and [Cd(Trim)Cl2(CH3OH)]n (4) are reported. Compound (2) exhibits a distorted tetrahedral environment around the metal center and crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a=10.2397(6), b=10.4500(6), c=16.3336(16) A, alpha=96.141(8), beta=106.085(5), gamma=96.551(5) degrees and Z=2. In complex (4), the Cd(II) centers are bridged sequentially by two chlorine ions to form infinite chains and present a six-coordinated environment; the compound crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1)/C space group with a=13.958(5), b=7.532(2), c=18.390(2) A, alpha=90, beta=97.32(5), gamma=90 degrees and Z=4. In both structures the Trimethoprim acts as a monodentate ligand through the pyrimidinic nitrogen N(1) atom. The characterization of the Cu(Trim)2(CH3O)(ClO4) complex through EPR and magnetic measurements suggests a binuclear or polinuclear nature, with bridging methoxo groups. The complexes were screened for their activity against several bacteria, showing activity similar to that of trimethoprim.  相似文献

A series of platinum(II) tri-n-butylphosphine complexes having the formulas cis-[PtCl2L2], NEt4[PtCl3L], [PtCl(en)L]Cl, [Pt(en)L2](ClO4)2, sym-trans-[Pt2Cl4L2], [Pt2Cl2L4](ClO4)2, trans,trans-[PtCl2L(mu-N2H4)PtCl2L] trans,trans-[PtCl2L(mu-en)PtCl2L], and cis,cis-[PtClL2(mu-N2H4)PtClL2](ClO4)2 (L = tri-n-butylphosphine; en = ethylenediamine) have been synthesized and their cytotoxic activity in vitro and in vivo has been studied. The solution behavior of the novel dinuclear diamine-bridged platinum(II) complexes has been investigated by means of UV and 31P NMR spectroscopy. For the ionic hydrazine compound cis,cis-[PtClL2(mu-N2H4)PtClL2](ClO4)2, an x-ray structure determination is reported. Crystal data: space group P2(1)/a, a = 17.803(1), b = 18.888(3), c = 12.506(3) A, beta = 107.97(2) degrees, Z = 2, R = 0.052, RW = 0.058. The platinum coordination is approximately square-planar, with the bond lengths Pt-Cl = 2.358(5), Pt-N = 2.15(1), Pt-P(trans to Cl) = 2.260(5), and Pt-P(trans to N) = 2.262(6) A. All investigated compounds were cytotoxic in vitro against L1210 cells and showed no cross-resistance to cisplatin. On the other hand, no antitumor activity was observed vs L1210 leucemia in DBA2 mice.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of dinuclear [M(II)(dbcat)(idpa)](2) (M[double bond]Zn (1), Cu (3); dbcat[double bond]3,5-di-tert-butylcatecholate; idpa[double bond]3,3'-iminobis(N,N-dimethylpropylamine)) complexes are described. Crystallographic characterization of the complex [Cu(II)(dbcat)(idpa)](2) has shown that the co-ordination geometry around copper(II) ions is distorted square pyramidal (triclinic, P-1, a=10.576(1) A, b=11.927(1) A, c=12.621(1) A, alpha=77.89(1) degrees, beta=88.65(1) degrees, gamma=70.21(1) degrees, V=1462.7(2) A(3), Z=2, R=0.0387). Both 1 and 3 were suitable catalysts for the catalytic oxidation of dbcatH(2) to dtbq (dtbq=3,5-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone) with dioxygen at ambient conditions in good yields. However, on the basis of kinetic studies the copper- and zinc-catalyzed reactions showed different mechanisms. In the first case valence tautomerism [Cu(II)(dbcat)(idpa)]<==>[Cu(I)(dbsq)(idpa)] precedes the reaction with O(2), while with the zinc complex metal-bound catecholate reacts directly with O(2) with the formation of free superoxide anion.  相似文献

Twelve zinc(II) complexes with thiosemicarbazone and semicarbazone ligands were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA), FT-IR and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Seven three-dimensional structures of zinc(II) complexes were determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. Their antimicrobial activities were evaluated by MIC against four bacteria (B. subtilis, S. aureus, E. coli and P. aeruginosa), two yeasts (C. albicans and S. cerevisiae) and two molds (A. niger and P. citrinum). The 5- and 6-coordinate zinc(II) complexes with a tridentate thiosemicarbazone ligand (Hatsc), ([Zn(atsc)(OAc)](n) 1, [Zn(Hatsc)(2)](NO(3))(2).0.3H(2)O 2, [ZnCl(2)(Hatsc)] 3 and [Zn(SO(4))(Hatsc)(H(2)O)].H(2)O 4 [Hatsc=2-acetylpyridine(thiosemicarbazone)]), showed antimicrobial activities against test organisms, which were different from those of free ligands or the starting zinc(II) compounds. Especially, complex 2 showed effective activities against P. aeruginosa, C. albicans and moderate activities against S. cerevisiae and two molds. These facts are in contrast to the results that the 5- or 6-coordinate zinc(II) complexes with a tridentate 2-acetylpyridine-4N-morpholinethiosemicarbazone, ([Zn(mtsc)(2)].0.2EtOH 5, the previously reported catena-poly [Zn(mtsc)-mu-(OAc-O,O')](n) and [Zn(NO(3))(2)(Hmtsc)] [Hmtsc=2-acetylpyridine (4N-morpholyl thiosemicarbazone)]), showed no activities against the test microorganisms. The 5- and 6-coordinate zinc(II) complexes with a tridentate 2-acetylpyridinesemicarbazone, ([Zn(OAc)(2)(Hasc)] 6 and [Zn(Hasc)(2)](NO(3))(2) 7 [Hasc=2-acetylpyridine(semicarbazone)]), showed no antimicrobial activities against bacteria, yeasts and molds. Complex [ZnCl(2)(Hasc)] 8, which was isostructural to complex 3, showed modest activity against Gram-positive bacterium, B. subtilis. The 1:1 complexes of zinc(II) with pentadentate thiosemicarbazone ligands, ([Zn(dmtsc)](n) 9 and [Zn(datsc)](n) 10 [H(2)dmtsc=2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(4N-morpholyl thiosemicarbazone) and H(2)datsc=2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(thiosemicarbazone)]), did not inhibit the growth of the test organisms. On the contrary, 7-coordinate zinc(II) complexes with one pentadentate semicarbazone ligand and two water molecules, ([Zn(H(2)dasc)(H(2)O)(2)](OAc)(2).5.3H(2)O 11 and [Zn(H(2)dasc)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2).H(2)O 12 [H(2)dasc=2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(semicarbazone)]), showed modest to moderate activities against bacteria. Based on the X-ray structures, the structure-activity correlation for the antimicrobial activities was elucidated. The zinc(II) complexes with 4N-substituted ligands showed no antimicrobial activities. In contrast to the previously reported nickel(II) complexes, properties of the ligands such as the ability to form hydrogen bonding with a counter anion or hydrated water molecules or the less bulkiness of the 4N moiety would be a more important factor for antimicrobial activities than the coordination number of the metal ion for the zinc(II) complexes.  相似文献

In order to mimic dinuclear active sites of some non-heme diiron proteins, ten new polydentate and potentially dinucleating ligands have been synthesized. Each ligand contains a carboxylate moiety designed to bridge two metal atoms. These central carboxylate moieties are derived from substituted benzoic acids that in turn are linked to terminal nitrogen or oxygen donors by spacers so that framework-type polydentate ligands similar to the polypeptide frames in diiron metallobiosites are formed. Reaction of these ligands with Fe(ClO4)3 x 9H2O leads to ferric mu-oxo-mu-carboxylato iron complexes of the general formulas [Fe2O(L)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 and [Fe2O(L)(BzO)](ClO4)2 (L = ligand), containing one or two immobilized bridging carboxylates, respectively. While X-ray crystallography shows that some of these complexes are dimers or network polymers in the solid state, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESMS) and spectroscopic data (UV-Vis, NMR, Móssbauer) indicate that they dissociate to monomeric Fe2O units in dilute CH3CN solutions.  相似文献

A new ligand L, 1-[3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazol-1-ylmethyl]naphthalene, and its two metal complexes, [Cu(L)3](ClO4)2 (1) and [Zn(L)3](ClO4)2(H2O)2 (2), have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure of complex 1 was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, which crystallized in monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n with unit cell parameters, a = 12.710(4) angstroms, b = 12.135(3) angstroms, c = 33.450(9) angstroms, beta = 93.281(5) degrees and Z = 4. The Cu atom was six-coordinated to N(1), N(2), N(4), N(5), N(7) and N(8) from three L ligands and formed a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. Complexes 1 and 2, and ligand L were subjected to biological tests in vitro using three different cancer cell lines (HL-60, BGC-823 and MDA-MB-435). Complex 1 showed significant cytotoxic activity against three cancer cell lines. The interactions of complexes 1 and 2, and ligand L with calf thymus DNA were then investigated by thermal denaturation, viscosity measurements and spectrophotometric methods. The experimental results indicated that complexes 1 and 2 bound to DNA by intercalative mode via the ligand L. The intrinsic binding constants of complexes 1 and 2, and ligand L with DNA were 1.8 x 10(4), 5.4 x 10(3) and 2.76 x 10(3) M(-1), respectively.  相似文献

The synthesis, characterization and biological activity of the first zinc(II) complexes with potent inhibitors of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) derived from 6-benzylaminopurine are described. Based on the results following from elemental analyses, infrared, NMR and ES+MS (electrospray mass spectra in the positive ion mode) spectroscopies, conductivity data, thermal analysis and X-ray structures, the tetrahedral Zn(II) complexes of the compositions [Zn(Olo)Cl(2)](n) (1), [Zn(iprOlo)Cl(2)](n) (2), [Zn(BohH(+))Cl(3)] x H(2)O (3) and [Zn(iprOloH(+))Cl(3)] x H(2)O (4) have been prepared, where Olo=2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-methylpurine (Olomoucine), iprOlo=2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-isopropylpurine (i-propyl-Olomoucine), Boh=2-(3-hydroxypropylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-isopropylpurine (Bohemine). The 1D-polymeric chain structure for [Zn(Olo)Cl(2)](n) (1) as well as the monomeric one for [Zn(BohH(+))Cl(3)] x H(2)O (3) and [Zn(iprOloH(+))Cl(3)] x H(2)O (4) have been revealed unambiguously by single crystal X-ray analyses. The 1D-polymeric chain of 1 consists of Zn(Olo)Cl(2) monomeric units in which the Zn(II) ion is coordinated by two chlorine atoms and one oxygen atom of the 2-hydroxyethylamino group of Olomoucine. The next monomeric unit is bonded to Zn(II) through the N7 atom of a purine ring. Thus, each of Zn(II) ions is tetrahedrally coordinated and a ZnCl(2)NO chromophore occurs in the complex 1. The complexes 3 and 4 are mononuclear species with a distorted tetrahedral arrangement of donor atoms around the Zn(II) ion with a ZnCl(3)N chromophore. The corresponding CDK inhibitor, i.e., both Boh and iprOlo, is coordinated to Zn(II) via the N7 atom of the purine ring in 3 and 4. The cytotoxicity of the zinc(II) complexes against human melanoma, sarcoma, leukaemia and carcinoma cell lines has been determined as well as the inhibition of the CDK2/cyclin E kinase. A relationship between the structure and biological activity of the complexes is also discussed.  相似文献

The single crystals of coordinated complexes of neutral erythritol (C4H10O4) with zinc nitrate and europium nitrate were synthesized and studied using FT-IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the structure of Zn(NO3)2.C4H10O4, ZnEN (E denotes erythritol, N represents nitrate), Zn2+ is coordinated to four hydroxyl groups from two erythritol molecules and two oxygen atoms from two nitrates. Two Zn2+ are connected by one erythritol molecule to form Zn(C4H10O4)(NO3)2 chain, and layers formed by above chain pile to produce 3D structures. In the structure of Eu(NO3)3.C4H10O4.C2H5OH, EuEN, Eu3+ is 10-coordinated by six oxygen atoms from three nitrate ions, three hydroxyl groups from one erythritol molecule and one hydroxyl group from ethanol. In the above erythritol complexes, two hydroxyl groups of erythritol coordinate to one metal ion and the other two to another metal ion or erythritol acts as three-hydroxyl groups donor. The OH groups of erythritol act as ligand to coordinate to metal ions on one hand, one the other hand, OH groups form hydrogen bonds network to build three-dimensional structures.  相似文献

The dimanganese(III,III) complexes [Mn(2)(III)(5-NO(2)-salpentO)(mu-AcO)(mu-MeO)(methanol)(2)]Y (1: Y=Br, 2a: Y=I, 2b: Y=I(3)), [Mn(2)(III)(5-NO(2)-salpentO)(mu-AcO)(mu-MeO)(methanol)(ClO(4))] (3) and [Mn(2)(III)(5-Cl-salpentO)(mu-AcO)(mu-MeO)(methanol)(2)]Br (4), where salpentOH is the symmetrical Schiff base ligand 1,5-bis(salicylidenamino)pentan-3-ol, were synthesised and structurally characterized. Complex 2b crystallises in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, and exhibits Mn. . .Mn separation of 2.911 A. This Mn. . .Mn separation is very close to the other characterized (mu-alkoxo)(2)(mu-acetato)Mn(2)(III) complexes of X-salpentOH (X=MeO, Br and H) and reveals that the aromatic substituent has little influence on the geometric parameters of the bimetallic core. A correlation between the electronic character of the different ring substituents, the redox potentials of the dinuclear complexes and their catalase activity was evidenced. Complexes 1-4 show saturation kinetics with [H(2)O(2)] and the H(2)O(2) disproportionation involves redox cycling between the Mn(2)(III)/Mn(2)(IV) levels. The catalytic activity studies show that bound acetate is required for catalase activity and that the acetato and alkoxo bridges serve as internal bases facilitating the proton transfer coupled to oxidation of the metal centre.  相似文献

Trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+ species were prepared. The complexes have been characterized by microanalysis, IR and 31P[1H] NMR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2](ClO4)2 complex shows a reversible one-electron-reduction process at E(1/2) = 0.200 V and another one-electron-reduction irreversible process at -0.620 V, both centered at the NO+ group. The dissociation of the NO group from the trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+ after two one-electron reductions results in the formation of the trans- and cis-[RuCl2(dppe)2] isomers. The product of an electrolyzed solution of the same complex at -0.300 V shows an EPR signal consistent with the presence of the [RuCl(NO(0))(dppe)2]+ complex. Crystal data for trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+*[RuCl4(NO)(H2O)]*1/2[RuCl6]4-*2[H2O] (I) and trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)(2)]2+*2[RuCl4(NO)(CH3O)]-*3[CH3OH] (II) are as follow: (I) Space group P-1, a=10.4040(3) A, b=12.3470(4) A, c=23.5620(8) A, alpha=95.885(2) degrees, beta=99.608(2) degrees, gamma=104.378(2) degrees, R=0.0521; (II) space group P-1, a=10.9769(2) A, b=13.2753(3) A, c=24.0287(4) A, alpha=99.743(1) degrees, beta=95.847(1) degrees, gamma=97.549(1) degrees; R=0.0496. The fac-[RuCl3(NO)(dppe)] (III) complex has been also prepared; its crystal data are: space group P2(1)/n (No. 14), a=11.841(2) A, b=13.775(2) A, c=16.295(4) A, beta=92.81(2) degrees; R1=0.0395.  相似文献

A kinetic study of CO(2) hydration was carried out using the water-soluble zinc model complex with water-soluble nitrilotris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl-6-sulfonate) L1S, [L1SZn(OH(2))](-), mimicking the active site of carbonic anhydrase, in the presence and absence of anion inhibitors NCS(-) and Cl(-). The obtained rate constants k(cat) for CO(2) hydration were 5.9x10(2), 1. 7x10(3), and 3.1x10(3) M(-1) s(-1) at 5, 10, and 15 degrees C, respectively: the k(cat)=ca. 10(4) M(-1) s(-1) extrapolated towards 25 degrees C has been the largest among the reported k(cat) using zinc model complexes for carbonic anhydrase. It was also revealed that NCS(-), Cl(-) and acetazolamide play a role of inhibitors by the decrease of k(cat): 7x10(2) and 2x10(3) M(-1) s(-1) for NCS(-) and Cl(-) at 15 degrees C, respectively. The sequence of their magnitudes in k(cat) is Cl(-) approximately acetazolamide>NCS(-), where the sequence Cl(-)>NCS(-) is confirmed for native carbonic anhydrase. The difference of k(cat) or k(obs) between NCS(-) and Cl(-) resulted from that between the stability constants K(st)=2x10(3) for [L1SZn(NCS)](2-) and 1x10(2) M(-1) for [L1SZnCl](2-) in D(2)O: for water-insoluble tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine L1, K(st)=1.8x10(4) for [L1Zn(NCS)](2-) and 1.5x10(3) M(-1) for [L1ZnCl](2-)in CD(3)CN/D(2)O (50% v/v). The crystal structure of anion-binding zinc model complexes [L1Zn(OH(2))](0.5)[L1ZnCl](0.5) (ClO(4))(1.5) 1(0.5)2(0.5)(ClO(4))(1.5) was revealed by X-ray crystallography. The geometry around Zn(2+) in 1 and 2 was tetrahedrally coordinated by three benzimidazolyl nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom of H(2)O, or Cl(-).  相似文献

A novel emissive tetra-naphthylmethylene pendant-armed macrocyclic ligand and a series of complexes with monovalent and divalent metal ions have been synthesized. Solid compounds have been isolated as mononuclear (Co(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)) or dinuclear (Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Ag(I)), complexes, depending on the counterions used. The chemical and photophysical properties of the free ligand, the protonation behavior and its metal complexes have been investigated in solution. UV-Vis spectroscopy has revealed a 1:1 binding stoichiometry for Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Ni(II) and Co(II), and 2:1 molar ratio for Ag(I). In chloroform, the free ligand presents two emission bands related to the monomer naphthalene emission and a red-shifted band attibutable to an exciplex due to a charge transfer from the nitrogen lone electron pair to the excited chromophore. Upon protonation of the free amines or due to metal complexation, the exciplex band disappears. The crystal structure of [Ag2L(NO3)2] is also reported. The structure reveals that both metal ions are into the macrocyclic cavity in a distorted square plane {AgN3O} environment. Each Ag(I) atom interacts with two neighbouring amine nitrogen atoms, one pyridine nitrogen and one oxygen atom from a monodentate nitrate ion.  相似文献

In our attempts to design crystalline alpha-helical peptides, we synthesized and crystallized GAI (C11H21N3O4) in two crystal forms, GAI1 and GAI2. Form 1 (GAI1) Gly-L-Ala-L-Ile (C11H21N3O4.3H2O) crystals are monoclinic, space group P2(1) with a = 8.171(2), b = 6.072(4), c = 16.443(4) A, beta = 101.24(2) degrees, V = 800 A3, Dc = 1.300 g cm-3 and Z = 2, R = 0.081 for 482 reflections. Form 2 (GAI2) Gly-L-Ala-L-Ile (C11H21N3O4.1/2H2O) is triclinic, space group P1 with a = 5.830(1), b = 8.832(2), c = 15.008(2) A, alpha = 102.88(1), beta = 101.16(2), gamma = 70.72(2) degrees, V = 705 A3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.264 g cm-3, R = 0.04 for 2582 reflections. GAI1 is isomorphous with GAV and forms a helix, whereas GAI2 does not. In GAI1, the tripeptide molecule is held in a near helical conformation by a water molecule that bridges the NH3+ and COO- groups, and acts as the fourth residue needed to complete the turn by forming two hydrogen bonds. Two other water molecules form intermolecular hydrogen bonds in stabilizing the helical structure so that the end result is a column of molecules that looks like an incipient alpha-helix. GAI2 imitates a cyclic peptide and traps a water molecule. The conformation angles chi 11 and chi 12 for the side chain are (-63.7 degrees, 171.1 degrees) for the helical GAI1, and (-65.1 degrees, 58.6 degrees) and (-65.0 degrees, 58.9 degrees) for the two independent nonhelical molecules in GAI2; in GAI1, both the C gamma atoms point away from the helix, whereas in GAI2 the C gamma atom with the g+ conformation points inward to the helix and causes sterical interaction with atoms in the adjacent peptide plane. From these results, it is clear that the helix-forming tendencies of amino acids correlate with the restrictions of side-chain rotamer conformations. Both the peptide units in GAI1 are trans and show significant deviation from planarity [omega 1 = -168(1) degrees; omega 2 = -171(1) degrees] whereas both the peptide units in both the molecules A and B in GAI2 do not show significant deviation from planarity [omega 1 = 179.3(3) degrees; omega 2 = -179.3(3) degrees for molecule A and omega 1 = 179.5(3) degrees; omega 2 = -179.4(3) degrees for molecule B], indicating that the peptide planes in these incipient alpha-helical peptides are considerably bent.  相似文献

The title compound, PrCl3.C6H12O6.9 H2O crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with cell dimensions a = 15.8293(3), b = 8.67750(10), c = 16.2292(3) A, beta = 107.0788(8) degrees, V = 2130.92(6) A3 and Z = 4. Each Pr ion is coordinated to nine oxygen atoms, two from the inositol and seven from water molecules, with Pr-O distances from 2.4729 to 2.6899 A; the other two water molecules are hydrogen-bonded. No direct contacts exist between Pr and Cl. There is an extensive network of hydrogen bonds formed by hydroxyl groups, water molecules, and chloride ions. The IR spectra of Pr-, Nd-, and Sm-inositol complexes are similar, which shows that the three metal ions have the same coordination mode. The dipeptide, L-prolyl-L-leucine monohydrate (C11H20N2O3.H2O, molecular weight, 246.3) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1), with cell constants: a = 6.492(2)A, b = 5.417(8)A, c = 20.491(5)A, beta = 96.59(2) degrees, Z = 2, Do = 1.15 g/cm3, and Dc = 1.142 g/cm3. The structure was solved by SHELX-86 and refined by full matrix least squares methods to a final R-factor of 0.081 for 660 unique reflections (I greater than 2 sigma (I)) measured on an Enraf Nonius CAD-4 diffractometer (CuK alpha, lambda = 1.5418 A, T = 293 K). The peptide linkage exists in the trans conformation. The pyrrolidine ring exists in the envelope conformation. The values of the sidechain torsion angles are: chi 1 = -59.3(13) degrees, chi 21 = -63.1(16) degrees and chi 22 = 174.8(15) degrees for leucine (C-terminal). The crystal structure is stabilised by a three-dimensional network of N-H ... O, O-H ... O, and C-H ... O hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

A series of rhenium(I) tricarbonyl complexes with bidentate P,O donor ligand o-(diphenylphosphino)benzaldehyde (P∩O) and its Schiff base P,N donor ligand o-[diphenylphosphino)benzylidene]analine (P∩N) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. All the complexes of the type [ReX(CO)(3)(LL)] (where LL = P∩O, P∩N) reveal a distorted octahedral structure with the three carbonyl ligands arranged in the facial fashion.
