For the first time, the genus Cocotropus is recorded from the South China Sea and in the Vietnam fauna. Two new species are described—C. astakhovi and C. eksae spp. n. They are compared in detail with 14 previously known species of this genus. The fauna of velvet-fishes of Vietnam is revised. Previously noted for Vietnam Paraploactis sp. is attributed to C. astakhovi.  相似文献

The ichneumonid wasp genus Pimpla Fabricius, 1804 is reviewed for the first time from Vietnam. Two new species are described: Pimpla lexuanhuei sp. nov. from Phu Tho Province and Pimpla chuyansinensis sp. nov. from Dak Lak Province. Five further species are recorded as new for Vietnam: P. bilineata (Cameron), P. cameronii Dalla Torre, P. ereba Cameron, P. flavipalpis Cameron, and P. laothoe Cameron. Pimpla instigator (Fabricius, 1793), a junior synonym of P. rufipes (Miller, 1759), previously recorded from Vietnam, was re-identified as P. laothoe and therefore is excluded from the ichneumonid fauna of Vietnam. A key to all ten species listed in this paper is also compiled.  相似文献

The genus Iporhogas Granger, 1949 (Braconidae: Rogadinae) is recorded for the first time for Vietnam. Four new species of the genus Iporhogas, viz. Iporhogas albilateralis sp. n., I. contrastus sp. n., I. simulatus sp. n. and I. tricoloratus sp. n., from Vietnam are described and illustrated, and additionally, one species, Iporhogas guangxiensis Chen & He, 1997, is newly recorded for Vietnam’s fauna of the family Braconidae. A key to the five Vietnamese species of the genus Iporhogas and a checklist with distributions of the ten species are provided.  相似文献

The paper analyzes both published and unpublished results of the investigations of Vietnamese reef-building corals and reefs performed in the last decades of the twentieth century. The state of the art in the study of reef-building scleractinian corals and reefs is presented. The scleractinian fauna of Vietnam is shown to match in species diversity (366 species of 70 genera) the tropical coral fauna of the Indonesian-Malacca fertile center, from which Indo-Pacific reef-building corals originated. The whole Vietnam coast from the Gulf of Tonkin to the Gulf of Siam is a biogeographically single whole and is a part of the Indo-Polynesian Province of the Indo-Pacific Area.  相似文献

A nonstructural reef at Hon Nai Island in Cam Ranh Bay (southern Vietnam) was investigated. In comparison with most of the coastal continental and island coral reefs of this region, it is characterized by high species richness of reef-building corals, among them scleractinians. A total of 34 species of Acropora were found, which represent 80% of the total species composition of this scleractinian genus on the reefs of Vietnam and 25% on the reefs of the Indo-Pacific. Among 169 species of scleractinians found on the reef of Hon Nai, Favia sp. nov. was previously unknown to science. The vertical bionomic zonality of the reef corresponds to a zonal distribution of environmental factors and is similar to that on reefs of the Gulf of Siam and various areas of the Pacific and the Caribbean Basin. The thriving of the Hon Nai island reef may be connected with protective measures undertaken by the Government of Vietnam and the minimization of anthropogenic impacts due to the activities of the Sanest Co.  相似文献

Gobioid fishes collected in Nha Trang and Van Phong bays (Vietnam) represented by 44 species, including 30 species continuously associated with soft bottoms in the open parts of the bays with normal marine conditions are reviewed. A new species, Navigobius khanhoa sp. n., is described. This species differs from other species of the genus in much higher number of rays in the second dorsal fin (26), smaller size of the mouth, teeth on the jaws arranged in a single row, and other characters. Four species from the genera Acentrogobius, Eviota, Favonigobius, and Gnatholepis have not been identified to the species, and, most likely, some of them are new for science. Nine species are recorded in the fauna of Vietnam for the first time: Aulopareia unicolor, Bathygobius hongkongensis, Egglestonichthys bombylios, Glossogobius circumspectus, Oplopomops diacanthus, Oxyurichthys auchenolepis, Tomiyamichthys ex gr. russus, Tryssogobius porosus, and Valenciennea immaculata. An occurrence of Glossogobius olivaceus in the fauna of Vietnam is confirmed. Three species, G. olivaceus, Oligolepis acutipennis, and Periophthalmus kalolo, are recorded in the Cai River delta for the first time. A new synonymy is established: Eviota gurjanovae (Prokofiev, 2007) = E. prasina (Klunzinger, 1871). The current state of knowledge of Gobiidae fauna of Vietnam is discussed, and the updating of the species composition of Gobiodontini of Nha Trang Bay is presented in addition to the species list published earlier (Prokofiev, 2007).  相似文献

In 2010, an expedition of the Institute of Marine Biology on the R/V Akademik Oparin revisited and surveyed a number of coral reefs of Vietnam, whose species composition and structure had been first described a quarter of century ago. No substantial changes were found in the geomorphological structure of reefs of the Nam Su and Tho Chu islands in the Gulf of Siam and the Con Dao and Thu islands situated outside the gulf. Marked changes were found in the abundance of some species of associated macrobenthos. The current status of coral reefs is described and the causes of the observed changes are analyzed (anthropogenic influence, etc.).  相似文献

Two new species, Parasapyga boschi sp. n. from Vietnam and P. yvonnae sp. n. from Indonesia are described. Parasapyga walshae van der Vecht, 1940, is treated as a valid species instead of a subspecies of P. moelleri Turner, 1910. A key to the species of the genus is added and all species are illustrated.  相似文献

The variability of Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd, and Ni concentrations was studied in soft tissues of the common mytilid mollusk Septifer bilocularis collected in May 2013 at the coral reefs along the entire Vietnamese coast from the Gulf of Siam to Ha Long Bay. The salinity, suspended solids, and nutrients were determined during the sampling; these hydrochemical characteristics of the surrounding waters were controlled by the river runoff and the content of chlorophyll a. The concentration of Mn in the mollusk S. bilocularis was elevated under the river runoff effect. However, concentrations of Cd and Zn in S. bilocularis were the lowest within the areas of river influence and increased in waters of central Vietnam and the Gulf of Siam, where upwellings are an important driving force. A comparison of our data with those obtained for Mytilidae from other regions showed that the mussel S. bilocularis can be recommended for biomonitoring of the concentrations of trace metals in the waters of coral ecosystems along the Vietnam coast.  相似文献

Euscorpiops dakrong sp. n., belonging to the family Euscorpiidae Laurie, is described on the basis of one male and one female collected in the Dakrong Nature Reserve cave system, Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. The new species presents most features exhibited by scorpions of the genus Euscorpiops, but it is characterized by a slender body and elongated pedipalps. This new scorpion taxon represents the second species of Scorpiopinae discovered in a cave system and may be yet another endemic element in the fauna of Vietnam. Some taxonomic propositions on the generic position of Scorpiops oligotrichus Fage, 1933 are also suggested.  相似文献

A new species of the lampyrid genus Oculogryphus Jeng, Engel, and Yang, O. shuensis sp. n. from China (Sichuan Province) is described and figured. The genus previously was known only from Vietnam, and the new species is the first representative of the genus in the Sino-Japanese zoogeographic realm. Some morphological variations of Oculogryphus and the allied genus Stenocladius are discussed and a modification to the most recent key to ototretine genera is proposed to accommodate Oculogryphus.  相似文献

Male and female of Odaginiceps korykosensis sp. n. (Copepoda, Harpacticoida, Tetragonicipitidae), collected in the intertidal zone of Kızkalesi beach along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey (Mersin Province), are described. The new species is the fifth member of the genus and can easily be distinguished from the other species by the presence of four setae/spines on the second endopodal segment of P4 and by the structure of the caudal rami. Previously, representatives of the genus Odaginiceps have been reported from Gulf of Mexico, off Bermuda and Kenya. Odaginiceps korykosensis sp. n. is the first record of the genus in the Mediterranean Sea.  相似文献

A full species composition of anemonefishes (Pomacentridae, Amphiprioninae) and their host sea anemones (Cnidaria, Actiniaria) from reefs of Phu Quy and Con Son Islands (off South Vietnam) and An Thoi Islands (northeastern Gulf of Thailand) is presented for the first time. A comparison of the faunas of anemonefishes and their host sea anemones is conducted in the coastal waters of Vietnam and adjacent waters. The presence of intermittent ranges of the anemonefishes in the coastal waters of Vietnam is demonstrated. For example, the ranges of two species, Amphiprion clarkii and A. frenatus, include the coastal waters of Vietnam, excluding the Gulf of Thailand, where they are not found even at the eastern border of the gulf. A. perideraion is absent in the Gulf of Tonkin, but it is distributed to the south along the entire coastal zone of Vietnam, including the Gulf of Thailand. In the coastal waters of Vietnam, A. sandaracinos is distributed only between the Gulf of Tonkin and Gulf of Thailand. A. polymnus is reliably indicated in the coastal waters of Vietnam between 12°50′ and 9°54′ N, but, most likely, its range is continuous along the entire Vietnamese coast. The richness of species composition of host sea anemones decreases (from nine to three species) in the southern direction, from Central Vietnam to the eastern border of the Gulf of Thailand.  相似文献
