Partial hydrolysis of the mucilage of O. ficus-indica affords O-β-d-galactopyranosyl-(1→6)-d-galactose, the polymer-homologous trisaccharide, and fourteen oligosaccharides that contain arabinose and most of which have xylosyl end-groups. O-β-d-Xylopyranosyl-(1→5)-l-arabinofuranose and O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→5)-O-α-l-arabinofuranosyl-(1→5)-l-arabinofuranose were the oligosaccharides isolated in greatest amount. The most-important structural features found in the peripheral chains in the mucilage are discussed.  相似文献

An arabinogalacto(4-O-methylglucurono)xylan with a DPn of ca. 96 has been isolated from the leaves of barley. Based on structural studies it is proposed that the hemicellulose consists of a main chain of β (1→4)-linked d-xylopyranosyl residues to which are attached an average of 8·1 l-arabinofuranosyl residues, 3·8 galactopyranosyl-(1→4)-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-l-arabinofuranosyl residues and 4·4 4-O-methyl-d-glucopyranuronosyl residues.  相似文献

The repeating unit of the specific capsular polysaccharide from the bacterium Rhizobium trifolii (TA)-1 has been shown to contain (a) terminal 4,6-O-(1-carboxyethylidene)-D-galactose (1 residue), (b) (1 → 3)-linked 4,6-O-(1-carboxyethylidene)-D-glucose (1 residue), (c) (1 → 4)-(1 → 6)-linked D-glucose (1 residue), (d) (1 → 4)-linked D-glucuronic acid (1 residue), and (e) (1 → 4)-linked D-glucose (4 residues). The pyruvylated sugars were shown to be positioned sequentially, and at least one other unit was interposed between them and the branch point.  相似文献

A bioassay-guided phytochemical analysis of the triterpene saponins from under ground parts of Gypsophila arrostii var. nebulosa allowed the isolation of two triterpene saponins; nebuloside A, B based on gypsogenin and quillaic acid aglycone. Two new oleanane type triterpenoid saponins (nebuloside A, B) and three known saponins (13) were isolated from the root bark of Gypsophila arrostii var. nebulosa. The structures of the two new compounds were elucidated as 3-O-β-d-galactopyranosyl-(1→2)-[β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)]-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl quillaic acid 28-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-[β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)]-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-d-fucopyranosyl ester (nebuloside A) and 3-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)-[β-d-galactopyranosyl(1→3)-β-d-galactopyranosyl-(1→2)]-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl gypsogenin 28-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-[β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)]-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-d-fucopyranosyl ester (nebuloside B), on the basis of extensive spectral analysis and chemical evidence. Nebuloside A and B showed toxicity enhancing properties on saporin a type-I RIP without causing toxicity by themselves at 15 μg/mL.  相似文献

Three new flavonol glycosides, nervilifordizins A–C (13), were isolated from the whole plant of Nervilia fordii. Their structures were elucidated as rhamnazin 3-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranoside (1), rhamnazin 3-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranoside (2) and rhamnazin 3-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranoside-4′-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3) on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HSQC, HMBC, 1H–1H COSY, and chemical evidences.  相似文献

Treatment of acetylated l-arabinofuranose, d-galactofuranose, and d-glucofuranose with trimethylsilyl cyanide in acetonitrile in the presence of stannous chloride gave the respective 1,2-O-(1-cyanoethylidene) derivatives. Triphenyl-methylium perchlorate-catalysed glycosylation of trityl ethers of monosaccharides by the above cyanoethylidene derivatives and by 3,5-di-O-benzoyl-1,2-O-(α-cyanobenzylidene)-β-l-arabinofuranose gave high yields of protected disaccharides containing a 1,2-trans-glycofuranosidic bond.  相似文献

Partial hydrolysis of a larch arabino(4-O-methylglucurono)xylan afforded two series of oligouronides composed of 4-O-methyl- d-glucuronic acid and d-xylose residues. The first series included aldouronic acids up to the aldopentaouronic acid. Methylation analysis indicated that the aldopentao- and aldotetrao-uronic acids were mixtures of isomers. One aldotetraouronic acid was isolated and identified as O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-d-Xyl. The two isomeric aldotriouronic acids were separated from each other. The acids of the second series, which were composed of two uronic acids and 2-4 d-xylose residues, were identified as follows: O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-d-Xyl, O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-β-d -Xylp-(1 → 4)-D-Xyl, O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-(4-O-Mec-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-D-Xyl, and O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-O-β-d-Xylp-(1 → 4)-O-(4-O-Me-α-d-GlcAp)-(1 → 2)-D-Xyl. The first three compounds were new acidic oligosaccharides. The 4-O-methyl-d-glucuronic acid in the second series was present in a larger proportion than in the first series, indicating that a large proportion of the uronic acid side-chains were located on two contiguous D-xylose residues in the backbone of the softwood xylan.  相似文献

Two new saponins, agavasaponin E and agavasaponin H have been isolated from the methanolic extract of Agave americana leaves and their structures elucidated. Agavasaponin E is 3-O-[β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→2glc1)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→3glc 1)-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-d-galactopyranosyl]-(25R)-5α-spirostan-12-on-3β-ol, whereas agavasaponin H is 3-O-[β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→2 glc 1)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→3 glc 1)-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-galactopyranosyl]-26-O-[β-d-glucopyranosyl]-(25R)-5α-furostan-12-on-3β,22α,26-triol.  相似文献

Four cycloartane- (hareftosides A–D) and oleanane-type triterpenoids (hareftoside E) were isolated from Astragalus hareftae along with fifteen known compounds. Structures of the compounds were established as 3,6-di-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-3β,6α,16β,24(S),25-pentahydroxycycloartane (1), 3,6,24-tri-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-3β,6α,16β,24(S),25-pentahydroxycycloartane (2), 3-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl-3β,6α,16β,25-tetrahydroxy-20(R),25(S)-epoxycycloartane (3), 16-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-3β,6α,16β,25-tetrahydroxy-20(R),24(S)-epoxycycloartane (4), 3-O-[β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-O-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl]-soyasapogenol B (5) by the extensive use of 1D- and 2D-NMR experiments along with ESI-MS and HR-MS analyses.  相似文献

A highly branched xylan and a linear, β-d-(1→4)-linked glucomannan are the two hemicellulosic components isolated from the endosperms of groundnut (Arachis hypogea). Electrophoretic, sedimentation, and sugar analysis indicate the polysaccharides to be fairly homogeneous. The O-methyl derivatives of the polysaccharides were analysed, after reduction and O-acetylation, by gas-liquid chromatography and g.l.c.-mass spectrometry. 2,3,4-Tri-O-methyl-d-xylose (3.6 mol), 2,3-di-O-methyl-d-xylose (21.0 mol), 3-O-methyl-d-xylose (2.8 mol), and d-xylose (4.2 mol) were detected in the xylan, whereas 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-methyl-d-glucose and/or mannose (1.6 mol), 2,3,6-tri-O-methyl-d-mannose (5.6 mol), and 2,3,6-tri O-methyl-d-glucose (21.2 mol) were found in the glucomannan. Periodate and Smith-degradation studies substantiate the results of methylation analysis on the xylan. A glucose: mannose ratio of 3:1 for the glucomannan, however, suggests that this fraction may be an aggregate of true glucomannan and glucan or degraded cellulose.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of the freshwater rhodophyte microalga Porphyridium aerugineum led to the isolation of five new galactolipids, namely, (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-arachidonoyl-3-O-β-d-galactopyranosylglycerol (1), (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-linoleoyl-3-O-β-d-galactopyranosylglycerol (2), (2S)-1-O-arachidoyl-2-O-palmitoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (6), (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-arachidoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (7), and (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-linoleoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (8) together with five known galactolipids. The stereo-structures of all new galactolipids were elucidated by spectroscopic analyses and both enzymatic and chemical degradation methods. This is the first report of galactolipids from P. aerugineum. The newly isolated galactolipids showed strong and dose-dependent nitric oxide (NO) inhibitory activity against lipopolysaccharide-induced NO production in RAW264.7 macrophage cells. Both galactolipids 1 and 2 possessed stronger NO inhibitory activity than N G-methyl-l-arginine acetate salt, a well-known NO inhibitor used as a positive control. Further study suggested that these galactolipids inhibit NO production through downregulation of inducible nitric oxide synthase expression.  相似文献

The structure of three neuraminyl-oligosaccharides isolated from rat urine-have been studied by chromatographic and mass spectrometric analyses of different hydrolysis and methylation products. Chemical investigation of a marine microalga, Nannochloropsis granulata, led to the isolation of four digalactosyldiacylglycerols namely, (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-palmitoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (1), (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-palmitoleoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (2), (2S)-1-O-eicosapentaenoyl-2-O-myristoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (3), and (2S)-1,2-bis-O-eicosapentaenoyl-3-O-(β-d-galactopyranosyl-6-1α-d-galactopyranosyl)-glycerol (4), together with their monogalactosyl analogs (58). Among the isolated galactolipids 2 and 3 were new natural products. Complete stereochemistry of 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8 was determined for the first time by both spectroscopic techniques and classical degradation methods. Both mono- and digalactosyldiacylglycerols isolated from N. granulata possessed strong nitric oxide (NO) inhibitory activity against lipopolysaccharide-induced NO production in RAW264.7 macrophage cells through downregulation of inducible nitric oxide synthase expression indicating the possible use as anti-inflammatory agents.  相似文献

Three organosolv and three alkaline hemicellulosic fractions were prepared from lignocellulosic biomass of the fast-growing shrub Tamarix austromongolica (Tamarix Linn.). Sugar analysis revealed that the organosolv-soluble fractions contained a higher content of glucose (33.7-6.5%) and arabinose (14.8-5.6%), and a lower content of xylose (62.2-54.8%) than the hemicellulosic fractions isolated with aqueous alkali solutions. A relatively high concentration of alkali resulted in a decreasing trend of the xylose/4-O-methyl-d-glucuronic acid ratio in the alkali-soluble fractions. The results of NMR analysis supported a major substituted structure based on a linear polymer of β-(1 → 4)-linked d-xylopyranosyl residues, having ramifications of α-l-arabinofuranose and 4-O-methyl-d-glucuronic acid residues monosubstituted at O-3 and O-2, respectively. Thermogravimetric analysis revealed that one step of major mass loss occurred between 200-400 °C, as hemicelluloses devolatilized with total volatile yield of about 55%. It was found that organosolv-soluble fractions are more highly ramified, and showed a higher thermal stability than the alkali-soluble fractions.  相似文献

Sixteen triterpenoid saponins, astrasieversianins I–XVI, have been isolated from the methanol extract of the roots of Astragalus sieversianus. By heterogeneous acidic hydrolysis, all glycosides produced only one common aglycone which was identified as the known natural product astramembrangenin or cycloastragenol. On the basis of spectral analysis and chemical reactions, the structures of two new triterpenoid glycosides, astrasieversianin IX and XI, were assigned as the 3-0-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1 → 2)]-(3'-O-acetyl)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-6-O-β-d-xylopyranoside and the 3-O-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1 → 2)]-(4'-O-acetyl)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-6-β-d-xylopyranoside of cycloastragenol. Astrasieversianin XV was identified as the 20,24-epimer (20R,24S) of cyclosieversiside G (20S,24R).  相似文献

A new furostane steroidal saponin was isolated from the leaves of Agave angustifolia var. marginata. On the basis of chemical conversions and spectroscopic analyses, its structure was established as 3-[O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-O]-[O-6-deoxy-α-l-mannopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-galactopyranosyl)oxy]-(3β,5α,22α,25R)-26-(β-d-glucopyranosyloxy)-22-methoxy-furostane (1). Results of preliminary biological investigations indicated that compound 1 showed significant protective effects against induced gastric ulcers using in vivo experimental models and demonstrated negligible toxicity on membrane integrity in the in vitro assays.  相似文献

The structures of two polysaccharides reported in the previous paper were studied by means of methylation analysis and the Smith degradation. As a result, it was concluded that the water-soluble xylan consisted essentially of a (l→4)-linked β-d-xylopyranosyl chain and contained l-arabinofuranosyl residues linked through the C–l as terminal side units. Unambiguous information concerning the residues of d-glactose and d-glucuronic acid as the constituents of the xylan has not been obtained. For the arabinogalactan, evidence was obtained for an interesting structure having a backbone chain of (l→3)-linked β-d-galactopyranosyl residues to which the terminal arabinose residues were attached at the C–6 position as the most prevalent side chains.  相似文献
