A new method for measuring annual growth rings in cork has been developed. It is based on the fact that excitation of Quercus suber L. cork cross-sectional planes with UV light and also with blue light results in enhanced autofluorescence at the growth ring borders. This distinct autofluorescence band is located in the cork produced at the end of the vegetation period, with its smaller cells and thicker cell walls. The enhanced autofluorescence of polyphenolics mainly results from a very thick suberin layer in the walls of the small late cork cells. The gradient in autofluorescence from late cork to first early cork is steep. The best visibility of cork annual rings was found under the epifluorescence microscope in 60 μm thick microtome cork cross sections. For fast screening of high sample numbers scanning the blue-excited (473 nm) fluorescence of water wetted polished cross-sectional surfaces of cork pieces with a laser-equipped fluorescence image analyzer was most suitable. Evaluation of visibility of cork rings showed a clear improvement in comparison with reflected light image analysis; thus data obtained with this new autofluorescence scanning method are excellent for modeling the yearly growth increment of cork.  相似文献

Radioprotective ability of the aqueous extract of the fruit of Terminalia chebula (TCE) was evaluated for its antioxidant and radioprotective abilities. TCE (50 μg) was able to neutralise 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, a stable free radical by 92.9%. The free radical neutralizing ability of TCE was comparable to that of ascorbate (100 μM) 93.5% and gallic acid (100 μM) 91.5% and was higher than that of the diethyldithiocarbamate (200 μM) 55.4%, suggesting the free radical activity of TCE. TCE protected the plasmid DNA pBR322 from undergoing the radiation-induced strand breaks. Radiation damage converts the supercoiled form (ccc) of plasmid to open circular form (oc); the presence of TCE during radiation exposure protected the plasmid from undergoing these damages. The administration of TCE (80 mg/kg body weight, i.p.) prior to whole body irradiation of mice (4 Gy) resulted in a reduction of peroxidation of membrane lipids in the mice liver as well as a decrease in radiation-induced damage to DNA, as assayed by single-cell gel electrophoresis (comet assay). TCE also protected the human lymphocytes from undergoing the gamma radiation-induced damage to DNA exposed in vitro to 2 Gy gamma-radiation. These results suggest the radioprotective ability of TCE.  相似文献

Various solvent extracts of the lichen Usnea ghattensis showed good antioxidant activity. A methanol extract prevented lipid peroxidation by 87% followed by 65% in Trolox at 20 μg/ml. It also showed superoxide anion scavenging activity and free radical scavenging activity 56% and 73%, respectively. The known antioxidants butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisol (BHA) and quercetin at similar concentrations showed superoxide anion scavenging activity of 68, 59 and 47% and free radical scavenging activity 83, 77 and 69%, respectively. In addition, these extracts were inhibitory against Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus with MIC values of 5–10 μg/ml.Received after revisions 10 May 2005  相似文献

Cryptococcus neoformans var. grubii (serotype A) was isolated from 12 soil samples mixed with pigeon droppings (16.9%) from 71 soil samples in Barcelona and rural areas of Catalonia. C. neoformans was not isolated from indoor dust and Eucalyptus debris. PCR fingerprinting was performed in 22 representative isolates and all of them corresponded to the VNI pattern. Susceptibility testing for the 22 isolates of C. neoformans var. grubii showed that all of them were susceptible to amphotericin B. Three isolates presented MICs (Minimal Inhibitory Concentrations) ≥ 1 μg/ml to Itraconazole, five MICs ≥ 1 μg/ml to ketoconazole and four were fluconazole resistant, (MICs ≥ 64 μg/ml), while three of them were shown to have MICs ≥ 1 μg/ml to voriconazole. In spite that all isolates presented the same DNA fingerprinting pattern, the susceptibility to antifungals is very variable. The possibility of acquiring cryptococcosis infection with primarily resistant environment strains is feasible.  相似文献

Resin glycosides are secondary metabolites exclusive to the convolvulaceous plants. In this study, crypthophilic acids A–C (13), the first resin glycosides occurring in another family (Scrophulariaceae), and the other constituents of Scrophularia cryptophila were examined for in vitro antiprotozoal and antimycobacterial potentials. Except for crypthophilic acid B (2), all tested compounds exhibited growth-inhibitory effect against Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense, with l-tryptophan (6) and buddlejasaponin III (7) being the most potent ones (IC50's 4.1 and 9.7 μg/ml). In contrast, the activity towards Trypanosoma cruzi was poor, and only crypthophilic acid C (3), 6 and 7 were trypanocidal at concentrations above 40 μg/ml. With the exception of 2 and 6, all compounds were active against Leishmania donovani. Harpagide (4) and 3 emerged as the best leishmanicidal agents (IC50's 2.0 and 5.8 μg/ml). Only compounds 3, 6 and 7 showed antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum with IC50 values of 4.2, 16.6 and 22.4 μg/ml. Overall the best and broadest spectrum activity was presented by compounds 3 and 7, as they inhibited all four parasitic protozoa. None of the isolates had significant activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MICs >100 μg/ml) or were toxic towards mammalian (L6) cells. This is the first report of antiprotozoal activity for natural resin glycosides, as well as for harpagide (4), acetylharpagide (5), tryptophan (6) and buddlejasaponin III (7).  相似文献

Stimulating or modulating the release of cytokines by immunomodulators or immunostimulating agents is an attractive mode for treating several diseases such as viral infections. For instance, patients with viral infections may be in need of increasing or inducing T helper 1 (Th1) or proinflammatory cytokines, which ultimately activate T cytotoxic and Natural killer lymphocytes to kill virally infected cells. Of these agents, we found that Eriobotrya japonica hydrophilic leaf extract (EJHE) can induce and modulate cytokines in dose-dependent manner. Twenty-four hour exposure of increasing concentrations of EJHE increased significantly (p < 0.001) the production of IFN-γ and TNF-α, from PHA+LPS-stimulated whole blood. However, the production of IFN-γ and TNF-α plateaued at high EJHE concentrations (10–100 μg/ml). No significant changes in the production of IL-10 were seen. In addition, EJHE at 1 and 10 μg/ml reversed significantly (p < 0.01) the inhibitory effect of hydrocortisone on the IL-12 p70, IFN-γ and TNF-α production from PHAS+LPS stimulated whole blood. Without PHA and LPS, EJHE was found to induce significantly (p < 0.001) IFN-γ, IL-12 p70, TNF-α, and IL-10 from whole blood culture in concentration dependent manner. The maximum induction of IFN-γ, IL-12 p70, and TNF-α by EJHE was at 1 and 10 μg/ml. On the other hand, IL-10 induction kept increasing even at the highest concentration used (100 μg/ml) of EJHE. Furthermore, intra-peritoneal injection of EJHE into mice increased significantly serum cytokines level mainly at 10 and 100 μg/ml. Two-hour post i.p. injection, EJHE increased serum IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-10 to 750, 1000, and 250 pg/ml, respectively. However, 24 h post i.p. injection, the levels of TNF-α, and IL-10 were similar to basal levels but IFN-γ levels were 200 pg/ml. These results indicate that EJHE induces proinflammatory and Th1 cytokines in concentration dependent manner and the effect of this induction should be studied further in viral models to check the efficacy of such cytokine induction.  相似文献

A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) assay has been developed for the determination of the antifungal drug fluconazole in saliva and plasma of patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Samples can be heated at 60°C for 30 min to inactivate the virus without loss of the analyte. The sample pretreatment involves a liquid-liquid extraction with chloroform-1-propanol (4:1, v/v). The chromatographic analysis is performed on a Lichrosorb RP-18 (5 μm) column by isocratic elution with a mobile phase of 0.01 M acetate buffer (pH 5.0)-methanol (70:30, v/v) and ultraviolet (UV) detection at 261 nm. The lower limit of is 100 ng/ml in plasma (using 500-μl samples) and 1 μg/ml in saliva (using 250-μl samples) and the method is linear up to 100 μg/ml in plasma and saliva. At a concentration of 5 μg/ml the within-day and between-day precision in plasma are 7.1 and 5.7%, respectively. In saliva the within-day and between-day precision is 10.8% (at 5 μg/ml). The methodology is now being used in pharmacokinetic studies in HIV-infected patients in our hospital.  相似文献

The effect of aqueous extracts of carob (Ceratonia siliqua) pods, gallotannic acid, gallic acid, and catechol on several microorganisms was studied. Carob pod extract and tannic acid showed a strong antimicrobial activity toward some cellulolytic bacteria. On the basis of tannin content, to which antimicrobial effect was related, carob pod extracts inhibited Cellvibrio fulvus and Clostridium cellulosolvens at 15 μg/ml, Sporocytophaga myxococcoides at 45 μg/ml, and Bacillus subtilis at 75 μg/ml. The inhibiting concentrations for tannic acid were found to be 12, 10, 45, and 30 μg/ml, respectively. Gallic acid and catechol were much less effective. Tannic acid and the tannin fraction of carob extract exerted both bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects on C. fulvus. Respiration of C. fulvus in the presence of bactericidal concentrations of tannic acid or tannin fraction of carob extract was inhibited less than 30%. A partial formation of “protoplasts” by C. fulvus was obtained after 2 hr of incubation in a growth medium to which 20% sucrose, 0.15% MgSO4·7H2O, and 10 to 50 μg/ml of tannic acid or 500μg/ml of penicillin, or both, had been added. Tannic acid and the tannin fraction of carob extract protected C. fulvus from metabolic lysis in sucrose solution. Although the growth of other microorganisms tested was only slightly affected, the morphology of some of them was drastically changed in the presence of subinhibitory concentrations of carob pod extracts of tannic acid. It is suggested that the site of action of tannins on sensitive microorganisms is primarily the cell envelope.  相似文献

A simple, highly selective and reproducible reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method has been developed for the analysis of the new anti-cancer pro-drug AQ4N. The sample pre-treatment involves a simple protein precipitation protocol, using methanol. Chromatographic separations were performed using a HiChrom HIRPB (25 cm×4.6 mm I.D.) column, with mobile phase of acetonitrile–ammonium formate buffer (0.05 M) (22:78, v/v), with final pH adjusted to 3.6 with formic acid. The flow-rate was maintained at 1.2 ml min−1. Detection was via photodiode array performed in the UV range at 242 nm and, since the compounds are an intense blue colour, in the visible range at 612 nm. The structurally related compound mitoxantrone was used as internal standard. The validated quantification range of the method was 0.05–10.0 μg ml−1 in mouse plasma. The inter-day relative standard deviations (RSDs) (n=5) ranged from 18.4% and 12.1% at 0.05 μg ml−1 to 2.9% and 3.3% at 10.0 μg ml−1 for AQ4N and AQ4, respectively. The intra-day RSDs for supplemented mouse plasma (n=6) ranged from 8.2% and 14.2% at 0.05 μg ml−1 to 7.6% and 11.5% at 10.0 μg ml−1 for AQ4N and AQ4, respectively. The overall recovery of the procedure for AQ4N was 89.4±1.77% and 76.1±7.26% for AQ4. The limit of detection was 50 ng ml−1 with a 100 μl sample volume. The method described provides a suitable technique for the future analysis of low levels of AQ4N and AQ4 in clinical samples.  相似文献

Naturally occurring plant phenolics,p-coumaric acid (PA), caffeic acid (CA), ferulic acid (FA) and gentisic acid (GA) (25–100 nmol/L) had protective effects on acridine orange (AO; 216 μmol/L)- and ofloxacin (3 μmol/L)-induced genotoxicity inSalmonella typhimurium. FA, GA and CA exhibited a significant concentration-dependent protective effect against the genotoxicity of AO and ofloxacin, with the exception of PA, which at all concentrations tested abolished the AO and ofloxacin genotoxicity. UV spectrophotometric measurements showed the interaction of PA, FA, GA and CA with AO but not with ofloxacin; this interaction is obviously responsible for the reduction of AO-inducedS. typhimurium mutagenicity. In the case of ofloxacin the antimutagenic effect of PA, FA, GA and CA is assumed to be a result of their ability to scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by ofloxacin.  相似文献

The human pathogenic bacterium Helicobacter pylori has been ascertained to be an aetiological agent for chronic active gastritis and a significant determinant in peptic and duodenal ulcer diseases. Endophytic metabolites are being recognized as a versatile arsenal of antimicrobial agents, since some endophytes have been shown to possess superior biosynthetic capabilities owing to their presumable gene recombination with the host, while residing and reproducing inside the healthy plant tissues. A total of 32 endophytic fungi isolated from the medicinal herb Cynodon dactylon(Poaceae) were grown in in vitroculture, and the ethyl acetate extracts of the cultures were examined in vitro for the anti-H. pylori activity. As a result, a total of 16 endophyte culture extracts were identified as having potent anti-H. pyloriactivities. Subsequently, a detailed bioassay-guided fractionation of the extract of the most active endophyte (strain number: CY725) identified as Aspergillussp., was performed to afford eventually four anti-H. pylori secondary metabolites. The four isolated compounds were identified through a combination of spectral and chemical methods (IR, MS, 1H- and 13C-NMR) to be helvolic acid, monomethylsulochrin, ergosterol and 3β-hydroxy-5α,8α-epidioxy- ergosta-6,22-diene with corresponding MICs of 8.0, 10.0, 20.0 and 30.0 μg/ml, respectively. The MIC of ampicillin co-assayed as a reference drug against H. pylori was 2.0 μg/ml. Furthermore, preliminary examination of the antimicrobial spectrum of helvolic acid, the most active anti-H. pylori metabolite characterized from the endophyte culture, showed that it was inhibitory to the growth of Sarcina lutea, Staphylococcus aureusand Candida albicans with MICs of 15.0, 20.0 and 30.0 μg/ml, respectively.  相似文献

Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA) is a fresh-water microalgae that is consumed as a nutrient-dense food source and for its health-enhancing properties. The current research characterizes the effect of a water soluble preparation from AFA on human monocyte/macrophage function and compares the effect of AFA with responses from known agents that modulate the immune system. At 0.5 μg/ml the AFA extract robustly activated nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) directed luciferase expression in THP-1 human monocytic cells to levels at 50% of those achieved by maximal concentrations (10 μg/ml) of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). In addition, the AFA extract substantially increased mRNA levels of interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), and enhanced the DNA binding activity of NF-kappa B. The effects of AFA water soluble preparation were similar to the responses displayed by LPS, but clearly different from responses exhibited by tetradecanoyl phorbol acetate (TPA) and interferon-gamma (INF-γ). Pretreatment of THP-1 monocytes with factors known to induce hyporesponsiveness suppressed both AFA-dependent and LPS-dependent activation. These results suggest that the macrophage-activating properties of the AFA water soluble preparation are mediated through pathways that are similar to LPS-dependent activation.  相似文献

In aquaculture, α-tocopheryl acetate (α-TA) is the main source of vitamin E used to fortify fish feed. α-TA in fish is often determined indirectly, i.e., by alkaline hydrolysis, followed by quantitation of “total α-tocopherol” (α-T) and subtraction of the natively present α-T. The aim of this study was to develop an HPLC method for the simultaneous quantitative determination of α-TA and free tocopherols in aquatic organisms and fish feed. The assay consists of a simple extraction with methanol containing butylhydroxytoluene (BHT) as an antioxidant, followed by reversed-phase chromatography with consecutive UV and fluorescence detection of α-TA and tocopherols, respectively. The peak of the internal standard tocol in the fluorescence trace was used for quantitation. Linearity was achieved over the range of 0.2 to 4.2 μg α-TA per ml extract of Artemia nauplii, which would correspond to 30.7 to 614.4 μg/g dry mass. The within-run coefficient of variation was 1.9% at a level of 310 μg/g dry mass. The recovery of α-TA ranged from 97.7 to 100.8% (concentration=2.1 and 20.5 μg/ml, n=6). The detection limit was about 7 ng and the quantification limit on spiked samples was 0.2 μg/ml. This method was routinely applied to determine α-TA and α-, γ- and δ-tocopherol (α-T, γ-T, δ-T) simultaneously in Artemia, fish feed, shrimp eggs and various other aquatic organisms.  相似文献

This research was designed to examine the presence of mutagenic/carcinogenic compounds in airborne pollutants in the rubber industry using an integrated chemical/biological approach. Inhalable airborne particulate matter (PM-10: <10 μm) was collected in four rubber factories using a high-volume sampler equipped with a cascade impactor for particle fractionation. The organic extracts of two different fractions (0.5–10 μm and <0.5 μm) were examined for mutagenicity with the Ames test and for in vitro DNA-damaging activity in human leukocytes by single-cell microgel electrophoresis (Comet assay). The extracts were also studied by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) content. Nitrosamines in ambient air were sampled on cartridges and analysed by GC with a thermal energy analyser (TEA) detector. Airborne volatile genotoxins were monitored in situ using a clastogenicity plant test (Tradescantia/micronuclei test). The results showed that airborne particulates were mainly very fine (<0.5 μm) and that trace amounts of genotoxic nitrosamines (N-nitrosodimethylamine: 0.10–0.98 μg/m3; N-nitrosomorpholine: 0.77–2.40 μg/m3) and PAH (total PAH: 0.34–11.35 μg/m3) were present in air samples. Some extracts, particularly those obtained from the finest fractions, were mutagenic with the Ames test and genotoxic with the Comet assay. In situ monitoring of volatile mutagens using the Tradescantia/micronuclei test gave positive results in two working environments. The results showed the applicability of this integrated chemical–biological approach for detecting volatile and non-volatile genotoxins and for monitoring genotoxic hazards in the rubber industry.  相似文献

Two antifungal aliphatic compounds, SPM5C-1 and SPM5C-2 with a lactone and ketone carbonyl unit, respectively obtained from Streptomyces sp. PM5 were evaluated under in vitro and in vivo conditions against major rice pathogens, Pyricularia oryzae and Rhizoctonia solani. These compounds were dissolved in distilled water/medium to get the required concentrations. The well diffusion bioassay indicated that the of SPM5C-1 remarkably inhibited the mycelial growth of P. oryzae and R. solani in comparison to SPM5C-2. Though SPM5C-2 showed low antifungal activity against P. oryzae, it was not active against R. solani. Further, SPM5C-1 completely inhibited the growth of P. oryzae and R. solani at concentrations of 25, 50, 75 and 100 μg/ml. Greenhouse experiments revealed that spraying of SPM5C-1 at 500 μg/ml on rice significantly decreased blast and sheath blight development by 76.1% and 82.3%, respectively, as compared to the control with a corresponding increase in rice grain yield.  相似文献

Four acyloxy-isopimarane derivatives along with two known isopimarane diterpenoids, the flavone cirsimaritin and the sterols β-sitosterol and stigmasterol were isolated from the aerial parts of Aeollanthus rydingianus. The structures of the compounds were established on the basis of spectroscopic analysis and chemical evidence. The isolated substances were screened for antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and a yeast strain. 19-Acetoxy-7,15-isopimaradien-3β-ol and 7,15-isopimaradien-19-ol showed minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 3.90–15.62 μg/ml for Staphylococcus aureus and of 7.81 μg/ml for Enterococcus hirae.  相似文献

An improved high-performance liquid chromatographic assay for the cytostatic drug mitomycin C in plasma is presented. The principal steps are precipitation of plasma proteins with acetonitrile, lyophilization of the supernatant and reversed-phase chromatography on a Hypersil ODS 5 μm column with 0.01 M NaH2PO4 buffer (pH 6.5)-methanol (70:30, v/v) in isocratic mode. At a flow-rate of 1.3 ml/min a column pressure of 180–220 bar resulted. Porfiromycin served as internal standard. UV detection was performed at 365 nm. Quantitation limit based on a coefficient of variation <10% in intra- and inter-day assay was 5 μg/l mitomycin C, detection limit based on a signal-to-noise ratio of 3 was 1 μg/l. Recovery was 100% and linearity was shown for the whole range of concentration (1–500 μg/l). None of the five drugs used during chemoembolisation interfered with the assay in vitro. The assay meets the requirements for pharmacokinetic studies of mitomycin C in patients as regards sensitivity and ease of use.  相似文献

Bioassay-directed fractionation with a Salmonella/microsomal assay against the food borne mutagen 2-amino-3-methylimidazo[4,5-f]quinoline (IQ) was used to identify antimutagenic components of hops. Hops pellets extracted with diethylether showed antimutagenic activity against mutations induced by IQ. Fractionation of the diethylether extract (DE) by column chromatography, followed by semi-preparative HPLC yielded two fractions (E4b and E4d) with strong antimutagenic activity against IQ induced mutations. Separation of fraction E4b resulted in inactive fractions, while fraction E4d has been identified to be xanthohumol. In mammalian test system with human hepatoma HepG2 cells fraction E4d at 10 μg/ml completely prevented formation of IQ induced DNA damage. These results indicate that xanthohumol is a very promising potential protective agent against genotoxicity of food borne carcinogens, which warrants further investigation.  相似文献

The purpose of this report is to explore the growth inhibitory effect of extracts and compounds from black cohosh and related Cimicifuga species on human breast cancer cells and to determine the nature of the active components. Black cohosh fractions enriched for triterpene glycosides and purified components from black cohosh and related Asian species were tested for growth inhibition of the ER Her2 overexpressing human breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-453. Growth inhibitory activity was assayed using the Coulter Counter, MTT and colony formation assays. Results suggested that the growth inhibitory activity of black cohosh extracts appears to be related to their triterpene glycoside composition. The most potent Cimicifuga component tested was 25-acetyl-7,8-didehydrocimigenol 3-O-β-d-xylopyranoside, which has an acetyl group at position C-25. It had an IC50 of 3.2 μg/ml (5 μM) compared to 7.2 μg/ml (12.1 μM) for the parent compound 7,8-didehydrocimigenol 3-O-β-d-xylopyranoside. Thus, the acetyl group at position C-25 enhances growth inhibitory activity. The purified triterpene glycoside actein (β-d-xylopyranoside), with an IC50 equal to 5.7 μg/ml (8.4 μM), exhibited activity comparable to cimigenol 3-O-β-d-xyloside. MCF7 (ER+Her2 low) cells transfected for Her2 are more sensitive than the parental MCF7 cells to the growth inhibitory effects of actein from black cohosh, indicating that Her2 plays a role in the action of actein. The effect of actein on Her2 overexpressing MDA-MB-453 and MCF7 (ER+Her2 low) human breast cancer cells was examined by fluorescent microscopy. Treatment with actein altered the distribution of actin filaments and induced apoptosis in these cells. These findings, coupled with our previous evidence that treatment with the triterpene glycoside actein induced a stress response and apoptosis in human breast cancer cells, suggest that compounds from Cimicifuga species may be useful in the prevention and treatment of human breast cancer.  相似文献

Exposure to airborne particulate matter has adverse effects on human health and ecosystem. Mutagenic activity of airborne particulate organic matter extracts in three time periods from total suspended particles (TSP) and particles less than 10 μm (PM10) was evaluated in an area under the influence of a petrochemical industry located in the town of Triunfo, Brazil. The extracts were investigated using the Salmonella/microsome assay, with the microsuspension method. The extracts were obtained by sonication extracted using dichloromethane (DCM) solvent. The fractions were tested for mutagenicity with the Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 (with and without metabolic activation), TA98NR and TA98/1,8DNP6; or YG1021 and YG1024. A positive frameshift mutagenic response was observed for the environmental samples during the different periods. The responses according to percentage of extractable organic matter (EOM%), EOM/m3, revertants/μg (rev/μg) and revertants/m3 (rev/m3) were lower for TSP than for PM10 extracts. The highest rev/m3 values were observed in PM10 extract samples collected in winter, July 2005, in the presence (13.79 rev/m3) or absence (6.87 rev/m3) of S9 fraction. Similarly in the first (1995) or second period (2000) the highest values for TSP were observed in winter, but with lower activity (3.00 and 0.89 rev/m3 respectively). The responses observed for the nitrosensitive strains suggest the contribution of nitro, amino and/or hydroxylamino derivatives of PAHs to the total mutagenicity of matter extracted from airborne particles. The Salmonella/microsome assay was a sensitive method to define areas contaminated by genotoxic compounds, even in samples with TSP or PM10 values that are acceptable according to legal environmental quality standards, favoring environmental control measures with an effective response seen in the population's improved quality of life.  相似文献
