This study aimed to verify whether basketball players are able to maintain strength (handgrip), jump (countermovement jump [CMJ]), sprint (10 m and 10 m bouncing the ball [10 mBB]), and interlimb coordination (i.e., synchronized hand and foot flexions and extensions at 80, 120, and 180 bpm) performances at the end of their game. Ten young (age 15.7 ± 0.2 years) male basketball players volunteered for this study. During the friendly game, heart rate (HR), rate of perceived exertion (RPE), and rate of muscle pain (RMP) were assessed to evaluate the exercise intensity. Overall, players spent 80% of the time playing at intensities higher than 85% HRmax. Main effects (p < 0.05) for game periods emerged for HR and the number of players involved in a single action, with lower occurrence of maximal efforts and higher involvement of teammates after the first 2 periods. At the end of the game, players reported high (p < 0.05) RPE (15.7 ± 2.4) and RMP (5.2 ± 2.3) values; decreased (p < 0.05) sprint capabilities (10 m: pre = 1.79 ± 0.09 seconds, post = 1.84 ± 0.08 seconds; 10 mBB: pre = 1.81 ± 0.11 seconds, post = 1.96 ± 0.08 seconds); increased (p < 0.05) interlimb coordination at 180 bpm (pre = 33.3 ± 20.2 seconds, post = 43.9 ± 19.8 seconds); and maintained jump (pre = 35.2 ± 5.2 cm, post = 35.7 ± 5.2 cm), handgrip (pre = 437 ± 73 N, post = 427 ± 55 N), and coordinative performances at lower frequencies of executions (80 bpm: pre = 59.7 ± 1.3 seconds, post = 60.0 ± 0.0 seconds; 120 bpm: pre = 54.7 ± 12.3 seconds, post = 57.3 ± 6.7 seconds). These findings indicate that the heavy load of the game exerts beneficial effects on the efficiency of executive and attentive control functions involved in complex motor behaviors. Coaches should structure training sessions that couple intense physical exercises with complex coordination tasks to improve the attentional capabilities of the players.  相似文献

In the preseason soccer training, morning and afternoon training sessions often are scheduled daily. The high frequency of training sessions could place heavy strain on biological systems, and it is necessary to apply proper recovery strategies for improving the players' capability to regain an adequate working state for subsequent training units. However, the effect of recovery interventions following soccer training units is debatable, due to a lack of studies performed in field situations. The aim of this study was to examine, during a 21-day preseason soccer training, the most effective recovery intervention (i.e., passive, dry-aerobic exercises, water-aerobic exercises, electrostimulation) on anaerobic performances (i.e., squat jump, countermovement jump, bounce jumping, and 10-m sprint) and subjective ratings (i.e., perceived exertion and muscle pain), with the conditions before the intervention controlled and standardized. Twelve young (age: 18.1 +/- 1.2 years) elite soccer players participated. Data were collected on 4 occasions 2 days apart and at the same time of the day. Activity and dietary intake were replicated on each occasion. After baseline measurements, participants performed a standardized training during which their heart rates and ratings of perceived exertion were recorded. This was followed by a 20-minute recovery intervention. After a 5-hour rest, athletes' ratings of muscle pain were recorded prior to a second test session. There were no significant differences in exercise intensities and baseline anaerobic performances. Significantly (p < 0.01) better performances were observed in the afternoon. Although no main effect of recovery intervention was observed on anaerobic performances, dry-aerobic exercises (0.6 +/- 0.9) and electrostimulation (0.6 +/- 1.2) were more beneficial (p < 0.01) than water-aerobic exercises (2.1 +/- 1.1) and passive rest (2.1 +/- 1.7) for reducing muscle pain, which could affect the player's working ability.  相似文献

J Strength Cond Res 26(11): 3081-3088, 2012-The capacity to recover from intense training and matches is considered an important determinant in soccer performance. At present, there is no consensus on the effect of posttraining recovery interventions on subsequent training session. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of active (12 minutes of submaximal running and 8 minutes of static stretching) and passive recovery (20 minutes sit on a bench) interventions performed immediately after a training session on muscle contractile properties using tensiomyography (TMG) and perceived muscle soreness 24 hours after the training. During 2 experimental sessions, 31 professional soccer players participated in a randomized fully controlled trial design. The first session was designed to collect the player's TMG and muscle soreness measurements (pretest). After baseline measurements, the participants performed a standardized soccer training during which the heart rate (HR) and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) were recorded to evaluate the training load. At the end of training unit, all the players were randomly assigned to the active recovery group and the passive recovery group. A second experimental session was organized to obtain the posttest values. The players performed the same test, administered in the same order than in the first trial. The results showed that no differences between groups were observed in the HR and RPE. No significant effect because of recovery strategy was found on TMG parameters and perceived muscle soreness.  相似文献

The aims of this study were to assess (a) the validity of total body load (TBL)-obtained from the global position system (GPS) devices-to quantify soccer training load, assessing its relationship with session rating of perceived exertion (session-RPE) and (b) to analyze the differences in terms of TBL and session-RPE among defenders, midfielders, and forwards. Twenty-two professional soccer players (Spanish first division, season 2007-2008; 26.74 ± 4.2 years; height 179.74 ± 4.04 cm; weight 73.7 ± 3.35 kg) participated in the study. During 13 training sessions composed predominantly of small-sided games, TBL and RPE multiplied by the minutes of session duration were determined using GPS and the 21-point scale, respectively. In each session, data from 10 players randomly selected and classified according to player position (defenders, midfielders, and forwards) were collected. Although session-RPE was a significant predictor of TBL (β = 0.23, p < 0.05), this method only accounted for 5% of the variance in TBL. No significant differences in terms of TBL and session-RPE were found regarding player position. The results of this study suggest that TBL is not a valid measure to quantify training load because it is not strongly correlated with session-RPE. Furthermore, TBL and session-RPE in small-sided soccer games do not vary according to player positions.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of time of day on soccer-specific skills and physiological and psychological parameters in children. Ten male children soccer players (age: 14.6?±?0.8 years; height: 1.63?±?0.4 m; body mass: 52.5?±?4.9 kg) performed two shooting accuracy tests before and after a 10?×?20-m dribbling sprint test with 20-s of passive recovery between repetitions. The measurements were taken at 08:00 h, 13:00 h, and 17:00 h in a randomized order. Mean heart rate (HR) was monitored during the dribbling test. At the beginning of each test session, blood pressure and intra-aural temperature were measured. Likewise, children were asked to complete the profile of mood state (POMS) and the Hooper Index questionnaires. Lactate concentration ([La]) was recorded at rest, post-fifth recovery periods and post-second accuracy test. Moreover, they indicate their rating of perceived exertion (RPE) score immediately at the end of each test session. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of white-box decision tree models (DTM) for predicting the rating of perceived exertion (RPE). The second aim was to examine the relationship between RPE and external measures of intensity in youth soccer training at the group and individual level. Training load data from 18 youth soccer players were collected during an in-season competition period. A total of 804 training observations were undertaken, with a total of 43 ± 17 sessions per player (range 12–76). External measures of intensity were determined using a 10 Hz GPS and included total distance (TD, m/min), high-speed running distance (HSR, m/min), PlayerLoad (PL, n/min), impacts (n/min), distance in acceleration/deceleration (TD ACC/TD DEC, m/min) and the number of accelerations/decelerations (ACC/DEC, n/min). Data were analysed with decision tree models. Global and individualized models were constructed. Aggregated importance revealed HSR as the strongest predictor of RPE with relative importance of 0.61. HSR was the most important factor in predicting RPE for half of the players. The prediction error (root mean square error [RMSE] 0.755 ± 0.014) for the individualized models was lower compared to the population model (RMSE 1.621 ± 0.001). The findings demonstrate that individual models should be used for the assessment of players’ response to external load. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that DTM provide straightforward interpretation, with the possibility of visualization. This method can be used to prescribe daily training loads on the basis of predicted, desired player responses (exertion).  相似文献

Recent evidence supports the use of certain soccer drills for combined technical and physical training. Therefore, it is important to be able to accurately monitor training intensity during soccer drills intended for physical development to allow the optimization of training parameters. Twenty-eight professional soccer players were assessed for heart rate (HR) and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) responses to 5 commonly used soccer training drills (2v2 to 8v8 drills). The responses of both HR and RPE differed significantly (p < 0.05) between the drills, generally showing an elevated response to drills involving lower player numbers. However, the 2v2 drill showed a significantly (p < 0.05) lower HR response (mean +/- SD: 88.7 +/- 1.2% HRmax) than 3v3 (91.2 +/- 1.3% HRmax) and 4v4 drills (90.2 +/- 1.6% HRmax). There was no significant correlation between the HR and RPE responses to the various drills (r = 0.60, p = 0.200). This poor relationship is probably because during the 2v2 drill, RPE was higher than during any of the other 6 drills, whereas HR was only fourth highest of the 6 drills. This demonstrates that HR and RPE are only poorly related during the intense drills used in this study, and that HR underestimates the intensity of the 2v2 drill. Heart rate demonstrated lower intersubject variability (1.3-2.2%) than RPE (5.1-9.9%). However, unlike HR, Borg 15-point RPE appears to be a valid marker of exercise intensity over a wide range of soccer training drills by maintaining validity in all drills and demonstrating acceptable intersubject variability. A combination of both HR- and RPE-based training load calculations appears optimal for use in soccer training.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to evaluate sprinting ability, density of acceleration, and speed dribbling ability of professional soccer players with respect to their positions.A total of 243 professional soccer players were examined. These soccer players are playing in different leagues of Turkey. The F-MARC test battery, which was designed by FIFA, was used for soccer players. We did not find any statistical differences for 30-m sprint test and four-line sprint test values with respect to positions of soccer players (p > 0.05). On the other hand, there was a statistical difference for speed dribbling test values in terms of positions of soccer players (p < 0.05). It was found that the test values of defense players, midfielders, and forwards were better than the test values of goalkeepers (p < 0.05). In conclusion, this study, which was done during the training season, shows that there is a similarity between the abilities of professional soccer players for 30-m sprint and four-line sprint tests. Therefore, it is believed that there must be fast players in all positions in terms of sprint ability. There is a similarity among defenders, midfielders, and forwards in terms of speed dribbling ability; in contrast, the speed dribbling ability of goal keepers is different from the players in those three positions. Although there are many more speed dribbling exercises within the training programs of defenders, midfielders, and forwards, the speed dribbling ability test is not used much for goal keepers. Correspondingly, speed dribbling ability is not a specific indicator for goal keepers, and this test should not be used for the choice of goalkeepers.  相似文献

The main aim of this study was to analyse the effects of including additional speed and endurance sessions during small-sided games (SSG) training periodization on physical fitness in professional soccer players. Sixteen outfield players (age = 25.6 ± 7.6 years) who competed in the First Division of a European League participated in this study. Players were randomly assigned to perform only the SSG periodization (G-SSG group) or to add endurance and speed training contents to the SSG (ES-SSG group). Before and after the 6-week experimental period, a Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test level 1 (YYIR1) and a 40 m sprinting test were performed. Rating of perceived exertion (RPE) was also measured after each training session. The G-SSG group showed a large improvement in the YYIR1 performance (p = 0.018–0.028; ES = 0.521–0.576) after the training programme, whereas no significant changes were observed for the ES-SSG group (p = 0.763–1.000; ES = 0.000–0.014). In addition, no significant differences (p > 0.05, ES = 0.005–361, trivial to small) in sprint performance at 5 and 10 m intervals up to 40 m were observed at post-training in comparison to pre-training evaluation in G-SSG and ES-SSG groups. No significant differences (p > 0.05) between groups were observed at baseline in the YYIR1 test. The 6-week SSG training supported with only six endurance and speed training sessions was no more effective than well-organized SSG alone for improving running endurance in professional soccer players.  相似文献

Health and fitness professionals working with athletes could establish effective and safe practice and training programs if recovery time on dynamic balance from exertion was available. Research investigating the time needed to recover dynamic limits of stability (LOS) from exertion has not been reported. The purpose of this study was to determine the recovery timeline on LOS from functional fatigue in collegiate athletes. Eighteen athletes (11 men, 7 women) from Division II collegiate soccer team who passed prescreening tests to identify their fitness levels were randomly tested on 2 different days by condition (fatigue or nonfatigue). Functional fatigue was determined by using the Borg 15-point rating of perceived exertion (RPE) scale. Subjects were tested on LOS on the Biodex Balance System pre, post, 10, 15, and 20 minutes for each condition. The main effect for condition was not significant (F() = 0.004, p = 0.948), whereas the main effect for time was significant (F(4,64) = 6.167, p < 0.001). The RPE scoring revealed the significant main effect in FATIGUE (F(2.69, 45.73) = 234.8, p < 0.001). In conclusion, 20 minutes of functional activity will likely have a negative influence on dynamic balance, with balance recovery occurring within 10 minutes after the cessation of exercise in Division II collegiate soccer athletes. Moreover, the level of exertion measured by RPE would correspond to athletes' ability to control their center of mass.  相似文献

This study quantified the performance recovery time requirements after training sessions using high-intensity soccer drills with and without the ball in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I female soccer players. Recovery time periods (24, 48, 72 hours of rest) from high-intensity soccer training sessions using drills with and without the ball were evaluated. Markers of recovery were each individual's performance relative to baseline performance in countermovement jump (CMJ) height, 5 bound jumps for distance (5BT), 20-m sprint (20SP), session rating of perceived effort (S-RPE), and heart rate (HR). Repeated-measures analysis of variance revealed a significant difference in CMJ performance (p < 0.04) and S-RPE (p < 0.02) after 24 hours of rest but not at 48 or 72 hours compared to baseline. There were no significant differences in 20SP, 5BT, or HR after 24, 48, or 72-hour recovery (p > 0.05). Therefore, high-intensity training drills produced a sufficient conditioning stimulus with little chance of underrecovery for the performance measures we tested. Countermovement jump and S-RPE may be more sensitive performance recovery indicators.  相似文献

An observed relationship between soccer match duration and injury has led to research examining the changes in lower extremity mechanics and performance with fatiguing exercise. Because many fatigue protocols are designed to result in substantial muscular deficits, they may not reflect the fatigue associated with sport-specific demands that have been associated with the increasing incidence of injury as the match progresses. Thus, the aim of this study was to systematically analyze the progressive changes in lower extremity mechanics and performance during an individualized exercise protocol designed to simulate a 90-minute soccer match. Previous match analysis data were used to systematically develop a simulated soccer match exercise protocol that was individualized to the participant's fitness level. Twenty-four National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I soccer players (12 men, 12 women) participated in 2 testing sessions. In the first session, the participants completed the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1 to assess their fitness level and determine the 5 submaximal running intensities for their soccer match simulation. In the second test session, progressive changes in the rating of perceived exertion (RPE), lower extremity performance (vertical jump height, sprint speed, and cutting speed), and movement mechanics (jumping vertical stiffness and terminal landing impedance) were measured during the soccer match simulation. The average match simulation running distance was 10,165 ± 1,001 m, consistent with soccer match analysis research. Time-related increases in RPE, and decrements in sprinting, and cutting speed were observed, suggesting that fatigue increased as the simulation progressed. However, there were no time-related decreases in vertical jump height, changes in lower extremity vertical stiffness in jumping, or vertical impedance during landing. Secondary analyses indicated that the coordinative changes responsible for the maintenance of stiffness and impedance differed between the dominant and nondominant limbs. Despite an increase in RPE to near exhaustive levels, and decrements in sprint and cutting performance, the participants were able to maintain jump performance and movement mechanics. Interestingly, the coordinative changes that allowed for the maintenance of vertical stiffness and impedance varied between limbs. Thus, suggesting that unilateral training for performance and injury prevention in soccer-specific populations should be considered.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of video-based perceptual training on pattern recognition and pattern prediction ability in elite field sport athletes and determined whether enhanced perceptual skills influenced the physiological demands of game-based activities. Sixteen elite women soccer players (mean +/- SD age, 18.3 +/- 2.8 years) were allocated to either a video-based perceptual training group (N = 8) or a control group (N = 8). The video-based perceptual training group watched video footage of international women's soccer matches. Twelve training sessions, each 15 minutes in duration, were conducted during a 4-week period. Players performed assessments of speed (5-, 10-, and 20-m sprint), repeated-sprint ability (6 x 20-m sprints, with active recovery on a 15-second cycle), estimated maximal aerobic power (V O2 max, multistage fitness test), and a game-specific video-based perceptual test of pattern recognition and pattern prediction before and after the 4 weeks of video-based perceptual training. The on-field assessments included time-motion analysis completed on all players during a standardized 45-minute small-sided training game, and assessments of passing, shooting, and dribbling decision-making ability. No significant changes were detected in speed, repeated-sprint ability, or estimated V O2 max during the training period. However, video-based perceptual training improved decision accuracy and reduced the number of recall errors, indicating improved game awareness and decision-making ability. Importantly, the improvements in pattern recognition and prediction ability transferred to on-field improvements in passing, shooting, and dribbling decision-making skills. No differences were detected between groups for the time spent standing, walking, jogging, striding, and sprinting during the small-sided training game. These findings demonstrate that video-based perceptual training can be used effectively to enhance the decision-making ability of field sport athletes; however, it has no effect on the physiological demands of game-based activities.  相似文献

The present study examined the effect of a 20-day period of competition on salivary cortisol, mucosal immunity, and upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) in young male soccer players (n = 14). The players were monitored during the main under-19 Brazilian soccer championship, in which 7 matches were played in 20 days. Saliva samples were collected in the morning of each match and analyzed for cortisol and immunoglobulin A (IgA). Signs and symptoms of URTI were assessed across the study and a rating of perceived exertion (RPE) was obtained for each match. Compared with match 1, a significant increase in player RPE was observed in matches 4-7 (p < 0.05). Significant (p < 0.05) increases in the reporting of URTI occurred between matches 2 and 3, and 6 and 7, and this was accompanied by significant decreases in salivary IgA levels. Significant (p < 0.05) correlations were also seen between the individual reports of URTI and the decrease in IgA levels in match 2 (r = -0.60) and match 6 (r = -0.65). These results suggest that decrements in mucosal immunity, as measured by salivary IgA concentrations, may lead to a greater incidence of URTI in elite young soccer players. It may be speculated that the physiological and psychological stressors imposed by training and competition in a short timeframe are major contributing factors to these responses. Thus, the monitoring of salivary IgA could provide a useful and noninvasive approach for predicting URTI occurrences in young athletes during short-term competitions, especially if frequent sampling and rapid measurements are made.  相似文献

The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of preseason lower-extremity range of motion (ROM) on the risk of muscle strain injury during a competitive season for elite soccer players. Thirty-six elite male soccer players (age, 25.6 +/- 4.7 years) had maximum static ROM for 6 movements of the lower extremity measured prior to the 2003-2004 English Premier League season. Player age, body size, dominant limb, and playing position were documented also. All lower-extremity muscle strain injuries were recorded prospectively during the competitive season, as was the total amount of time spent in training and games for each player. Soccer players sustaining a muscle strain injury in the hip flexors or knee flexors had lower preseason ROM (p < 0.05) in these muscle groups compared with uninjured players. Similar trends were observed for the remaining muscle groups, but all failed to reach statistical significance (p > 0.05). Most significantly, soccer players with lower preseason ROM in the hip flexors and knee flexors had a statistically higher risk for a muscle strain injury to these muscle groups during a competitive season. Age, body size, limb dominance, and playing position were not significant intrinsic risk factors for the development of muscle strain injuries. Screening of flexibility for soccer players should be conducted during preseason, and flexibility training should be prescribed to players with reduced ROM to lower the risk of developing a muscle strain injury.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of training on the rating of perceived exertion (RPE) at the ventilatory threshold. College students were assigned to either training (n = 17) or control (n = 10) groups. Trainers completed 18 interval training sessions (five X 5 min cycling at 90-100% VO2max) and 8 continuous training sessions (40 min running or cycling) in 6 weeks. Pre- and post-training, cardiorespiratory, metabolic, and perceptual variables were measured at the ventilatory threshold during graded exercise tests on a cycle ergometer. Ventilatory threshold was that point above which VE X VO2-1 increased abruptly relative to work rate. Post-training means of trained and control subjects were compared using analysis of covariance, with pre-training values as covariates. Following training, the adjusted means for the trained subjects were significantly greater (p less than 0.05) than for controls for VO2max (6%), and for work rate (20%), VO2 (23%), and %VO2max (13%) at the ventilatory threshold. However, adjusted means for RPE at the ventilatory threshold were not significantly different (2%). Both before and after training, exercise at the ventilatory threshold was perceived as 'somewhat hard' to 'hard' (RPE = 13-15) by both groups. The relationship between RPE and %VO2max was altered by training, with trained subjects having a lower RPE at a given %VO2max. It is concluded that RPE at the ventilatory threshold is not affected by training, despite that after training the ventilatory threshold occurs at a higher work rate and is associated with higher absolute and relative metabolic and cardiorespiratory demands.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to examine the physiological effects of different sprint repetition protocols on professional footballers. Of particular interest were the abilities of repeated sprint protocols to induce fatigue to an extent observed during competitive soccer. Six professional soccer players were assessed for fatigue rate and physiological responses of heart rate (HR), blood lactate (BLa), and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) during the performance of 4 repeated sprint drills, each totaling a sprint distance of 600 m. The 4 drills used 15- or 40-m sprints with 1:4 or 1:6 exercise: rest ratios. The 15-m sprint drill with 1:4 exercise:rest ratio induced the greatest fatigue (final sprint time 15% greater than initial sprint time) and greatest physiological responses. The 40-m sprint drill using a 1:4 exercise:rest ratio produced similar BLa and HR responses to the 15-m drill (13-14 mmol.L(-1) and 89% HRmax, respectively) but significantly lower RPE (mean +/- SD: 17.1 +/- 0.4 vs. 18.8 +/- 0.4, p < 0.05) and fatigue rates (11.1 vs. 15.0%, p < 0.01). Both sprint distance and exercise:rest ratio independently influenced fatigue rate, with the 15-m sprint distance and the 1:4 exercise:rest ratio inducing significantly (p < 0.01) greater fatigue than the 40-m sprint distance and the 1:6 exercise:rest ratio. The magnitude of fatigue during the 40- x 15-m sprint drill using a 1:6 exercise:rest ratio was 7.5%, which is close to the fatigue rate previously reported during actual soccer play. The present study is the first to examine both variations in sprint distances and rest ratios simultaneously, and the findings may aid the design of repeated sprint training for soccer.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of regular small-sided games (SSGreg) and SSGs combined with running drills (SSGcom) on players’ internal and external loads. Eighteen young male soccer players (average age: 18.2 ± 0.5 years) participated in 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 games, under both SSGreg and SSGcom conditions. SSGreg bouts were played for 4 minutes without additional running drills, while SSGcom bouts consisted of 3 min 30 s SSG and 15 s running before and after the bout, making the duration of each bout 4 minutes. During all SSGs, measurements of heart rate (HR) responses as well as distances covered in four different speed zones – walking (WLK), low-intensity (LIR), moderate-intensity (MIR) and high-intensity running (HIR) – were recorded. Technical characteristics were monitored during the SSGs, and the rating of perceived exertion (RPE) and blood lactate (La-) responses were determined at the end of each SSG condition. Compared to the SSGreg in both 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 formats, the SSGcom condition resulted in higher La- and RPE responses (p < 0.05), greater distance covered at MIR and HIR speeds and greater total distance (p < 0.05). The results of this study show that replacing 30 s within the 4-min bouts of SSGs (both 3- and 4-a-side) by 2 x 15 s of running drills is effective in increasing internal (La- and RPE) and external loads (MIR and HIR) without a significant decrease in total passes and successful passes in young soccer players.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to identify the variation of heart rate (HR), rating of perceived exertion (RPE), and technical actions between 2 soccer small-sided games (SSGs; 3 × 3 and 4 × 4) in 3 game type constraints (when playing only offense [OFF], playing only defense [DEF], and both situations [GAME]). Sixteen high-level young male players were analyzed (age 15.75 ± 0.45 years; height 172.4 ± 4.83 cm; body mass 64.5 ± 6.44 kg; HRmax199.1 ± 9.08 b·min(-1); and 8.06 ± 1.98 years of soccer practice). All tasks were performed in 4 periods of 4 minutes interspersed with 2 minutes of active recovery. The HR was measured continuously and then analyzed by the time spent into 4 training zones according to individual %HRmax (zone 1 <75%; zone 2 75-84.9%; zone 3 85-89.9%; and zone 4 ≥90%). Results identified that players were most frequently in zones 2 and 3. The 3 × 3 SSGs elicited higher HR and RPE and the most intense situation was GAME. Despite the known higher frequencies from technical actions in SSGs with fewer players, player effectiveness in 3 × 3 and 4 × 4 was identical. The use of GAME, OFF, and DEF game type constraints should be carefully planned. Using the 3 × 3 format seems more adequate when aiming for aerobic performance optimal effects; however, DEF situations should only be used to promote aerobic recovery effects. The inclusion of an additional player in SSGs had different interactions in game type constraints, and only GAME presented adequate intensity.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: Lockie, RG, Murphy, AJ, Scott, BR, and Janse de Jonge, XAK. Quantifying session ratings of perceived exertion for field-based speed training methods in team sport athletes. J Strength Cond Res 26(10): 2721-2728, 2012-Session ratings of perceived exertion (session RPE) are commonly used to assess global training intensity for team sports. However, there is little research quantifying the intensity of field-based training protocols for speed development. The study's aim was to determine the session RPE of popular training protocols (free sprint [FST], resisted sprint [RST], and plyometrics [PT]) designed to improve sprint acceleration over 10 m in team sport athletes. Twenty-seven men (age = 23.3 ± 4.7 years; mass = 84.5 ± 8.9 kg; height = 1.83 ± 0.07 m) were divided into 3 groups according to 10-m velocity. Training consisted of an incremental program featuring two 1-hour sessions per week for 6 weeks. Subjects recorded session RPE 30 minutes post training using the Borg category-ratio 10 scale. Repeated measures analysis of variance found significant (p < 0.05) changes in sprint velocity and session RPE over 6 weeks. All groups significantly increased 0- to 5-m velocity and 0- to 10-m velocity by 4-7%, with no differences between groups. There were no significant differences in session RPE between the groups, suggesting that protocols were matched for intensity. Session RPE significantly increased over the 6 weeks for all groups, ranging from 3.75 to 5.50. This equated to intensities of somewhat hard to hard. Post hoc testing revealed few significant weekly increases, suggesting that session RPE may not be sensitive to weekly load increases in sprint and plyometric training programs. Another explanation, however, could be that the weekly load increments used were not great enough to increase perceived exertion. Nonetheless, the progressive overload of each program was sufficient to improve 10-m sprint performance. The session RPE values from the present study could be used to assess workload for speed training periodization within a team sports conditioning program.  相似文献
