城市化可以引发一系列\"城市溪流综合症\",对河流健康造成巨大胁迫。大型底栖动物是河流生态系统的重要组成部分,对环境因子敏感,能够较好的反映流域环境的变化。城市化后,流域人口增加,建设用地比例上升,入河污染物浓度和总量增多,底栖动物中敏感物种比例降低甚至消失,寡毛类、摇蚊等耐污物种成为优势类群;群落多样性显著降低,并且一般与城市化强度成负指数关系;底栖动物总密度普遍大幅度增加,收集者为主要摄食功能群;不透水地表面积比例的增加改变了流域自然的水文过程,群落组成的季节波动减弱,但密度的波动增大;次级生产力明显增加,食物网趋于简化。初步分析了城市化过程中水质污染、水文、生境破坏、流域土地利用等因素影响底栖动物群落的规律和机制,并且根据国内外研究现状提出了进一步研究的方向,以期为我国城市河流生态学研究、流域生态管控和河流生态系统修复提供科学依据。  相似文献

太浦河连接东太湖和黄浦江,是东太湖向下游行洪的主河道,也是黄浦江上游重要的引水水源。分别于2017年10月、12月和2018年3月、6月在太浦河沿程设置的5个站点开展了大型底栖动物季节频次的取样调研,分析了太浦河大型底栖动物群落的结构特征及其主要影响因子。调查期间共采集到大型底栖动物25种,隶属于3门6纲14科,其中以河蚬(Corbicula fluminea)为代表的双壳类和以铜锈环棱螺(Bellamya aeruginosa)为代表的腹足类处优势地位。太浦河大型底栖动物群落的密度、生物量及多样性特征在不同站点间均存在显著差异(P<0.05);而在不同季节间均不存在显著差异(P>0.05)。聚类排序分析表明,太浦河大型底栖动物群落在空间上的差异较季节间的变化更为明显。太浦河大型底栖动物群落的物种组成特征与太浦河、东太湖的水文连通格局密切相关;而沿程不同程度人为干扰下的水体营养水平以及底质类型与生境异质性等生境条件对太浦河大型底栖动物群落的分布特征具有重要影响,其综合作用机理有待进一步研究。  相似文献

溪流潜流层是溪流表层水和地下水相互作用的群落交错区,生物多样性丰富,是溪流生态系统的重要组成部分.大型无脊椎动物位于潜流层食物网的顶层,直接影响着潜流层物质和能量动态,是河流健康潜在的指示生物,调节着潜流层的环境净化和生态缓冲功能,对溪流生态系统发挥着至关重要的作用.潜流层大型无脊椎动物类群按生活史划分为偶入动物、非典型潜流层动物和典型潜流层动物.潜流层孔隙大小、孔隙水流速、溶解氧、温度、可利用的食物源、渗透系数和水力停留时间是影响大型无脊椎动物在潜流层分布的主要因素.对于潜流层这样一个特殊的生态界面,针对不同的研究目的应该选择合适的取样和调查方法.潜流层大型无脊椎动物的生活史和生活史对策,在溪流生态系统物质循环和能量流动中作用的定量化分析,基于潜流层大型无脊椎动物的河流健康评价体系,以及潜流层作为“庇护地”对于大型无脊椎动物分布和进化的生态学意义,都值得进一步关注和深入研究.  相似文献

2011年夏秋季,在上海市全境83个河道断面开展了河道底栖动物采样,共获取底栖动物20个分类单位(种)。9个极严重污染断面未采集到活体生物,生境基本丧失。其余74个有活体生物断面,采用三种常用生物指数:Shannon-Wiener多样性指数、Hilsenhoff耐污指数、Goodnight修正指数分别进行计算及评价。Shannon-Wiener多样性指数判别为25个严重污染和49个重污染断面;Hilsenhoff耐污指数划分38个重污染、5个中污染和31个轻污染断面;Goodnight修正指数划分33个重污染、2个中污染和39个轻污染断面。与典型河道断面的水质理化指标监测值进行对照,Shannon-Weiner多样性指数对河道水质评价的准确度较低,Hilsenhoff生物指数和Goodnight修正指数的水质评价效率及准确度均较高,断面污染等级与水质理化指标基本对应。  相似文献

  1. The impacts of climate‐induced environmental changes on freshwater biodiversity are not well understood in Arctic regions.
  2. We quantified water source contributions (meltwater, ground water), environmental habitat conditions and benthic macroinvertebrate community dynamics in north‐west Svalbard. The aim was to use contemporary findings to infer how future environmental change may affect these Arctic river ecosystems.
  3. Water source dynamics played an important role in influencing environmental habitat conditions; meltwater contributions to flow were related significantly to discharge, channel stability, electrical conductivity and pH.
  4. Low regional benthic macroinvertebrate diversity relative to other Arctic regions was attributed to harsh winter conditions and biogeographical dispersal constraints associated with the Svalbard archipelago.
  5. Generalised estimating equations and multivariate ordination models showed benthic macroinvertebrate diversity and abundance were influenced significantly by several environmental habitat variables. Rivers in non‐glacierised basins typically supported more diverse and abundant communities than those in glacierised basins, most likely as a consequence of the warmer water temperature and less‐disturbed habitat conditions associated with these systems.
  6. Consequently, shifts in water source contributions driven by changes in climate may alter environmental habitat conditions in Svalbard rivers and could lead to an increase in abundance and diversity among some freshwater macroinvertebrate communities.

The relative effects of a diffuse disturbance (alteration of land use from forest to plantation) and a point-source disturbance (a village and its associated coffee-processing plant, within the plantation) on longitudinal variation in water chemistry and macroinvertebrate community composition were assessed in Kali Dinoyo, a small upland stream in East Java, Indonesia. Four sites were sampled. The catchments of the two most-upstream sites were covered primarily by rainforest, while the two lower sites fell within a coffee plantation. The lowest site was downstream of a small village and its associated coffee-processing plant. Most of the variance in all water quality variables and in several community composition measures was explained by the difference between plantation and forest sites. Comparatively small differences in total suspended solids and macroinvertebrate community composition were observed downstream of the village. Diffuse disturbances associated with land clearance and plantation agriculture therefore appear to have a larger impact on the ecology of Kali Dinoyo than the point source impacts associated with the village. More robust and powerful study designs to formally test these findings are discussed.  相似文献

To assess the effects of timber harvesting on headwater streams in upland forests, benthic community structure was contrasted among four dominant forest management types (old growth, red alder-dominated young growth, conifer-dominated young growth, clearcut) and instream habitats (woody debris, cobble, gravel) in southeastern Alaska. Benthos in streams of previously harvested areas resulted in increased richness, densities and biomass relative to old growth types, particularly in young growth stands with a red alder-dominated riparian canopy. Woody debris and gravel habitats supported a combination of higher densities and biomass of invertebrates than cobble habitats. In addition, woody debris also supported a richer and more diverse invertebrate fauna than either cobble or gravel substrates. Maintaining both a woody debris source and a red alder component in regenerating riparian forests following timber harvesting should support greater invertebrate densities and diversity following clearcutting.  相似文献

调查了浙江省安吉县内具径流式低坝的城市溪流(6个样点)和参照溪流(3个样点)的底栖动物群落,目的是了解城市溪流底栖动物群落结构退化规律和径流式低坝(2—3 m)对城市溪流底栖动物群落组成与结构的影响。结果表明,参照样点的底质组成以大石块(35.92%)和卵石(33.66%)为主,城市溪流以砾石为主(57.97%)。城市溪流水温和电导率显著高于参照溪流,TN和TP高于参照溪流。底栖动物总分类单元数和EPT分类单元数显著低于参照溪流。城市溪流河道内水坝上下游之间的流速(P=0.273)和宽深比(P=3.92)无显著差异。坝下游水体中的TP高于坝上游,电导率、溶解氧、pH值和水温在坝上下游之间几乎一致。除BI指数坝下游高于坝上游外,坝上下游间底栖动物总分类单元数、EPT分类单元数以及多样性指数、优势度和均匀度指数没有显著差异。但坝下游的耐污类群比例显著高于坝上游,敏感类群比例则显著低于坝上游。与坝上游相比,坝下游捕食者比例上升和集食者比例下降。NMDS结果进一步表明,城市溪流内水坝的建设导致坝上下游底栖动物群落物种组成明显改变。  相似文献

2005年5月下旬在崇明东滩中潮区相同高程上的裸地(ld)、海三棱藨草(Scirpus×mariqueter)地(hs)、芦苇(Phragmites australis)地(lw)、互花米草(Spartinaalterniflora)地(hh)里取样研究了大型底栖动物群落。ld物种数、总个体数、Shannon-Wiener指数、Margalef物种丰富度指数、平均密度和平均生物量都是最低的;平均密度在裸地和3种盐沼植物地间都存在显著差异(P<0.05,LSD检验);平均生物量在海三棱藨草地与裸地间存在极显著的差异(P<0.01,LSD检验);等级聚类分析(Cluster)表明,裸地和盐沼植物地间大型底栖动物群落差异明显。hs、lw、hh中的优势种都是底上附着型的软体动物,而ld中则以穴居型的甲壳动物占优势;hs、lw、hh、ld的面上群与面下群的比值分别为0.56、0.63、0.63、0.75。3种盐沼植物地间大型底栖动物群落相似性程度较高,但非度量多维标度(MDS)排序仍然揭示出可以区分的差异。这些差异体现了盐沼植物对大型底栖动物群落的明显影响。盐沼植物是通过直接改变生境结构或间接影响水动力和沉积物扰动等作用进而明显地影响大型底栖动物群落,盐沼植物也是影响潮间带大型底栖动物群落的重要生态因子。  相似文献

Species richness significantly changed both temporally, over a two year period, and spatially, across three sites in a sandy run, in an assemblage of aquatic insects (Chironomidae) inhabiting a fourth order stream in southeastern Ohio, USA. A total of 25 species was encountered, and for a given site and time, richness varied between 0 and 13 species/site with a mean of 3.3. Averaged over two years, the species diversity trend from bank to channel was an increasing number of species with a decreasing variance, indicating a greater stability in species richness in the channel than near the bank. A significant amount of the temporal variability in richness can be explained by variation in the stream discharge rate. Discharge was inversely related to a) species richness and b) the rate of change of species richness, for two sites in the stream center but not for a more protected site near the bank. Abugov's (1982) model of the phasing of disturbances may explain the species richness patterns observed in this study.  相似文献

大型底栖无脊椎动物的生物扰动作用是维持淡水生态系统物质循环稳定的关键因素之一,当前对底栖动物群落与单一物种生物扰动作用异同的认识还十分有限。以微生境反应器培养五种典型底栖动物种群及其群落,通过测定底栖动物生物扰动作用引起的沉积物、上覆水中营养盐(NH3-N、NO2--N、NO3--N和DTP)及溶解有机碳(DOC)的含量变化,同时计算各组单位生物量引起的元素变化量,探究单物种和生物群落扰动作用的差异以及对沉积物-水界面生源要素的影响。结果表明:单物种扰动作用导致沉积物NH3-N含量降低(P < 0.05),并使整个体系中NO3--N含量增加(P < 0.05),但对DTP无显著影响(P > 0.05);而群落扰动作用则促进体系NH3-N的增加(P < 0.05),使上覆水中NO3--N向沉积物沉积,同时引起上覆水DTP含量显著上升(P < 0.05)。单物种的独立扰动皆促进上覆水DOC含量降低(P < 0.05),霍甫水丝蚓的生物扰动导致沉积物的DOC含量降低且为唯一产生影响的物种(P < 0.05),而群落中各物种相互作用导致体系DOC浓度无变化(P > 0.05)。单物种/群落单位生物量对各类物质分布存在明显差异,霍甫水丝蚓的生物扰动作用对于上覆水和沉积物中的单位生物量C、N、P变化影响最为显著,但其扰动作用在群落组合中受到抑制,表明单位生物量扰动强度较大的物种,其扰动强度在群落中更容易受到抑制。  相似文献

A three month experimental acidification was carried out on lotic bottom communities. Experiments were conducted under semi-natural conditions in plasticized wooden channels. Acidified communities (pH 4.0), with or without added aluminum, were compared with a reference community (pH 6.3–6.9). Added aluminum concentrations were respectively 0.2 and 0.4 mg 1–1 in experiments performed in 1982 and 1983. Water chemistry and taxonomic composition of the macroinvertebrate communities were monitored. Under acidified conditions, results were similar, with or without added aluminum. Mean abundances of all groups of organisms were lowered. Mayflies nearly completely disappeared from the acidified channels. The only organism not affected by the acidification was Microtendipes sp. Differences in the organism response were observed: Orthocladiinae (Rheocricotopus, Parametriocnemus, Corynoneura, Thienemanniella, Nanocladius, Cricotopus) and Ephemeroptera (Baetis, Habrophlebia, Habrophlebiodes, Paraleptophlebia, Ephemerella), especially early instars, were very sensitive to low pH, Chironomini and Tanypodinae were much less sensitive, while Tanytarsini were intermediate; Oligochaeta and Nematoda were difficult to classify, their response being different from one year to another. Organisms inhabiting the surface of artificial substrates disappeared very rapidly from the system, while those buried inside had a delayed reaction to acidification. Aluminum which was mainly in the monomeric form was not responsible for community modifications. Direct action of hydrogen ions through a physiological stress seems a more credible explanation. These results, induced by a continuous experimental acidification, suggest that if this small headwater stream undergoes acidification, the resulting invertebrate community will be very simplified, with only resistant species able to cope with the acid conditions.  相似文献

The determination of minimum flow requirements for green small hydropower plants (GSHP) in China primarily relies on hydrological methods such as the Tennant method with no seasonal variation. However, the direct application of hydrological methods without local ecological data for calibration lacks ecological validity, potentially resulting in unsuitable minimum flow recommendations for local aquatic biota. Hydraulic-habitat modelling (HHM) is assumed to provide more ecologically relevant and reliable environmental flow recommendations (EFRs), but benthic macroinvertebrates (BMs), crucial in the aquatic food web, have rarely been the focus in HHM studies. Moreover, the strong subjectivity in HHM processes hinders the comparison of EFRs across different biota and geographical regions. This study aims to investigate the ecological validity of using the Tennant method to set minimum flow requirements for local BM communities and the impacts of various methods used in HHM on derived EFRs. To achieve this, a pseudo-2D HHM approach is employed, integrating the 1D hydraulic models HEC-RAS and CASiMiR with the habitat model HABFUZZ. The EFRs downstream of Jiufeng reservoir, one of China's first GSHPs, are derived for wet (April–June) and dry seasons (July–September). Our findings highlight that setting minimum flow alone is inadequate for preserving BM community integrity downstream of GSHPs. It is crucial to incorporate more diverse environmental flow criteria, including minimum flows and peak flows, into GSHP assessment standards, with recommended flow levels varying across different seasons. Additionally, the development of a standardized HHM methodology is essential to mitigate the inherent subjectivity in HHM and facilitate the comparison of EFRs generated from different studies. This study's innovative modelling framework and findings will enhance the optimization of minimum flow assessment criteria for GSHP in China, deepen understanding of seasonal e-flow requirements of BM communities, and refine the methodology used in BM HHM for e-flow recommendation.  相似文献

The analysis of the trophic structure of benthic macroinvertebrate communities can be used in biological assessments of the condition of river ecosystems. Using the trophic, or functional approach, the Index of Trophic Completeness (ITC) was developed. The goal was to overcome the problems and drawbacks of using conventional diversity or biotic indices in biological assessments of rivers, such as limitation to distinct geographical regions or focus on species richness without regard for ecosystem functioning. Following an extensive review of the literature on the trophic characteristics of benthic macroinvertebrates, a large number of species (±300) were characterized according to a number of trophic criteria: plant:animal ratio in the diet, feeding mechanism, food size, food acquisition behaviour, and energy and substance transfers. On the basis of their trophic characteristics, the species could be divided into 12 trophic groups. After examination of data from geographically diverse rivers, it was concluded that any undisturbed riverine benthic macroinvertebrate community should be represented by members of each of these 12 trophic groups, with each group fulfilling a function in the benthic community. Being a community which plays a central role in the functioning of the aquatic ecosystem, the benthic invertebrates are expected to respond to disturbances to the hydrobiocoenose. The outcome of an ITC assessment is clearly presentable in the form of a pie graph with 12 wedges, each representing one of the 12 defined trophic groups. Functionally complete communities are represented by 12 wedges; a blank wedge indicates that a trophic group is not represented. This paper describes the preliminary developments in the ITC method, its potential as a biological assessment method in rivers in different geographical zones, and presents examples of trial mappings of Russian and European rivers. The application of the ITC to these rivers demonstrated the absence of ITC trophic groups at sites under the influence of anthropogenic activity.  相似文献

Biomonitoring is an approach that uses indicators or sentinel species to assess the health or pollution of an environment, combining diversity based on specific taxonomic groups with the taxa's indicator of pollution into a single index or score. Benthic macroinvertebrates are among the most preferred and valuable indicators of the biotic index. Our study aims to evaluate water quality and ecological status using biotic and diversity indices based on benthic macroinvertebrates. The macroinvertebrate samples used in this study were collected seasonally from 16 stations determined in Karasu Stream. These samples consist of 14,747 specimens belonging to 9 orders and 40 families of Insecta, Malacostraca, Hirudinea and Oligochaeta. In addition, some physicochemical parameters were measured at the stations. The data obtained were analysed using the Turkey-Biological Monitoring Working Group (TR-BMWP), Average Score per Taxon (ASPT), Family Biotic Index (FBI), Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Trichoptera (EPT) taxon richness index, and Shannon–Wiener, Simpson and Hill's diversity indices. Our results showed that the last six stations of Karasu Stream were under pressure due to various anthropogenic effects. According to biotic indexes, the ecological quality status of the water in the stations was determined to be high or good in the first 10 stations and average, poor or bad in the last 6 stations. The results of our study showed that TR-BMWP, FBI and EPT indices are more reliable in determining water quality than the ASPT index and reflect the environmental situation better. Since the TR-BMWP index is adapted to macroinvertebrate taxa distributed in Türkiye, it can be used as a suitable tool for evaluating other rivers' water quality in Türkiye.  相似文献

Ecological effects of climate change on terrestrial and marine ecosystems are increasingly apparent but evidence from freshwater is scarce, particularly in Asia. Using data from two subtropical Central China streams, we predicted the changes of some benthic macroinvertebrate communities under various climatic scenarios. Our results show that the average annual air temperature, in the study watershed, increased significantly (P < 0.05) by 0.6 °C over the last 30 years (1978–2007), whereas the average annual water flow declined by 30.9 m3 s–1. Based on the winter sampling of benthic macroinvertebrates at four stream locations over last six years, we observed that macroinvertebrate abundance and Margalef diversity dropped with increasing water temperatures or decreasing smoothed sea surface temperatures (SSST). The winter macroinvertebrate abundance and biodiversity declined by 11.1% and 6.8% for every 1 °C water temperature rise. In contrast, increases in future SSST by one unit would increase winter macroinvertebrate abundance and biodiversity by 38.2% and 16.0%, respectively. Although many dominant taxa were predicted to persist when water temperatures increase by 1 °C, several scarce taxa, e.g., Orthocladius clarkei and Hippeutis umbilicalis, could be at a level of potential local extinction. Our identification of these links, between climate change and stream macroinvertebrate communities, has wide implications for the conservation of mountain stream ecosystems in the upper Yangtze River under scenarios of climate change. 对太湖8个区域共60样点进行底栖大型无脊椎动物采样,共获得底栖动物24种,其中软体动物14种,节肢动物5种,甲壳动物5种.根据Hilsenhoff 生物指数确定了15个相对清洁的样点和45个污染样点,然后进行21种生物指数的综合评估,结果表明,总分类单元数、(甲壳动物 软体动物)分类单元数、%(甲壳动物 软体动物)、%腹足纲、Goodnight-Whitley指数、Hilsenhoff 生物指数和%直接收集者等7个底栖动物生物指数可以用作判别太湖水质的敏感生物指数.通过5, 3, 1记分法对6种生物指数统一量纲后,获得变化范围为7~35的综合生物指数,运用四分法划分了太湖水质判别的生物基准:7~14很差,15~21差,22~28一般,29~35好,并对60个样点进行重新记分,获得了太湖水质的基本生态分区现状,太湖的东南区属水质较好的区域,而西北区属水质较差的区域.该水质生物基准基本适合评价太湖不同区域的水质状况.  相似文献

Field experiments investigated the possible active entry of stream benthos into the water column. Over a 1-year period, sediment baskets were suspended for 24 hours in a stream pool so that only swimming or floating organisms, essentially unaided by current, could colonize them. A variety of benthos, including taxa characteristic of riffles, colonized the baskets, with colonization highest in late summer and negligible in winter.A modified drift net towed through the pool was used to quantitatively sample benthic animals actually in the water column. Nighttime tows captured a diverse, abundant fauna and indicated densities substantially higher than invertebrate drift densities reported in the literature. Daytime tows yielded little. Estimated percentages of the benthos in the water column at a given time were generally < 1.0%.These findings suggest that not all invertebrate drift is the result of passive mechanical removal from the substrate by current.  相似文献

Significant variations in four biological measures of water quality with stream order and river basin were demonstrated for streams of the Black and Osage river basins of Missouri. Water quality criteria specific for each order and basin were then developed.Benthic macroinvertebrates from springs and stream orders 3–8 in the two river basins were sampled quarterly for one year with riffle nets and artificial substrate samplers. A total of 548 samples were taken at 137 stations. The average annual macroinvertebrate density, index of diversity, number of taxa, and number of mayfly and stonefly taxa were determined for each station. These measures showed significant differences (p < 0.05) across stream order within and between the two river basins. Total taxa, total mayfly and stonefly taxa, and diversity were highest in orders 4 and 5 with decreased values in lower and higher stream orders. Maximum organism densities occurred in intermediate order streams. These differences were attributed to the succession of physical changes from headwaters to mouth within each river and to the unique geomorphology of each catchment basin.Water quality criteria based on three of the four measures described above (with 95% confidence limits) were established for each stream order in each river basin. Criteria for the Osage River basin were then used to identify three streams in the basin affected by environmental disturbances (stream impoundment, channelization and sewage discharge). The use of order- and basin-specific criteria assures that the biological differences between streams caused by environmental disturbance can be distinguished from the natural biological differences between streams of different orders and drainages.  相似文献

Samples of fishes were collected quarterly at three reaches in the Água Nanci stream, upper Paraná River basin, Brazil: near the spring, in the middle course, and near the mouth. Richness and evenness of the fish fauna increased between reaches towards the river mouth showing a correlation with stream width, pH and the presence of riparian vegetation. These variations in species richness and evenness, verified through Principal Component Analysis and Pearson correlation, suggest relations to habitat complexity, especially characterized by both the degree of preservation of dense riparian vegetation and high width at the lower reaches of the stream, providing a wide variety of hiding places for fish. Abundant species showed correlations with some environmental factors, suggesting habitat preferences.  相似文献
