根据2003和2005年分别对36和34块撂荒群落及其生境的调查结果,分析了撂荒群落的排序演替规律、演替速度及演替趋同或趋异性。结果表明:(1)对陕北黄土丘陵区撂荒群落影响较大的因子主要有撂荒年限、海拔、土壤水分含量及变异量、有机质、全氮和速效氮、速效磷等,而坡度、坡向等对撂荒群落分布及动态影响较小;(2)排序图也反映了撂荒演替过程中主要环境因子的变化,即随着撂荒年限的增加,土壤水分含量减少,变异量增加。土壤养分方面,除速效磷呈减少趋势外,土壤有机质,全N、P、K,速效N、K都有增加的趋势;(3)农田撂荒后,群落演替速度有先降低后增大的趋势。提出一个关于撂荒演替速度的分阶段循环往复式的理论模型,认为植被演替从总体上讲是逐渐变慢的,可根据生长、生活型和优势植物种等分为几个阶段,每个阶段初期演替速度较快,以后逐渐变慢达到阶段稳定状态。之后,随着下一阶段主要植物的入侵,阶段稳定状态被打破,演替进入下一阶段。(4)演替趋同、趋异性方面,两年的结果不一致,与样地选择有关。  相似文献

Testing the assumptions of chronosequences in succession   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Many introductory ecology textbooks illustrate succession, at least in part, by using certain classic studies (e.g. sand dunes, ponds/bogs, glacial till, and old fields) that substituted space for time (chronosequence) in determining the sequences of the succession. Despite past criticisms of this method, there is continued, often uncritical, use of chronosequences in current research on topics besides succession, including temporal changes in biodiversity, productivity, nutrient cycling, etc. To show the problem with chronosequence-based studies in general, we review evidence from studies that used non-chronosequence methods (such as long-term study of permanent plots, palynology, and stand reconstruction) to test the space-for-time substitution in four classic succession studies. In several cases, the tests have used the same locations and, in one case, the same plots as those in the original studies. We show that empirical evidence invalidates the chronosequence-based sequences inferred in these classic studies.  相似文献

To study secondary successional sequences and mechanisms, denudation experiments were conducted in Central Japan with the removal of dominants, laying burned soil on the surface, and turning over the top- and subsoil. The early stages of secondary succession were predictable as to species and life-form composition.The biomass — the degree of succession (DS) relationship and the DS-isopleth showed phasic changes within a seral stage. The rate of succession (RS) was also calculated.In the establishment of weed communities with crops, the critical time for weeding, the allowable limit of weeds, etc. were found in relation to the distribution pattern, adaptive strategy of species, interspecific and intraspecific density regulations.In seasonal denudation experiments, the month of denudation affected the regular phenological pattern of weedy species, although normal replacement of summer annuals by winter annuals was usual.The population dynamics of buried-seeds in the soil, the adaptive strategies of the dominants and the role of allelopathy were discussed as the main forces of secondary succession in its early stages.Nomenclature follows Okuyama, H.: A Handbook for plant collectors. Abstract. This study evaluates the processes of recolonization of abandoned fields by native vegetation under conditions of intensive human activity (fire, intensive grazing, firewood cutting) in a semi-arid tropical region savanna of northern Cameroon. Secondary plant succession was studied in two series of formerly cultivated fields 1–35 yr after the beginning of the fallow period. Floristic changes and the dynamics of woody plant populations were compared between areas with vertisols (clay texture) and sandy soils, as a function of length of fallows. Vegetation changed continuously during the 35 years following field abandonment. However, a very abrupt break occurred between 6 and 10 yr, due to increasingly intense human pressure during this period. Up to that point, ecological models and mechanisms of succession presented in the literature are more or less confirmed by our results. Usually, secondary succession is blocked at a stage of wooded grassland as a result of human activities.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to detect suites of traits related to whole plant and seed morphology, phenology and resource use – including water – in species differing in successional status. Twenty traits were measured on 55 species representative of 5 successional stages in Mediterranean southern France, including eight pertaining to phenology and five to water economy. Suites of traits that changed along succession in agreement with the acquisition/conservation trade-off were completed by continuous changes in phenology. Early successional species had leaves with a high specific leaf area that were produced and lost continuously through the growing season. Late-successional species were taller with long-lived, high δ13C leaves produced during short periods, most of them persisting during summer, and produced large seeds requiring a long ripening period. Replacement of species occurred with change in strategies of drought survival: early successional species escaped drought by dying before summer; later herbaceous species maintained favourable water status in relation to leaf shedding during summer; late successional trees with a large body allowing access to a large pool of resources, produced dense leaves that could tolerate desiccation. These changes occurred concomitantly with a shift in CSR strategies, using traits related to resource use, plant size and flowering phenology: ruderal herbs were replaced by more stress-tolerant herbs and shrubs throughout the succession, with competitive trees dominating the latest successional stage. These results suggest that the breadth of functional variability found in natura is not predicted by the CSR framework, and calls for a more integrated view of whole plant functioning.  相似文献

为探明热带森林蚂蚁巢穴的分布特征及其影响因素, 采用样方法研究了西双版纳不同演替阶段热带森林定居巢穴蚂蚁的种类及其巢穴的密度、盖度和空间分布特征, 并分析了土壤理化环境与蚂蚁种类总数、巢穴密度及盖度的相关性。结果表明, 不同演替阶段热带森林蚂蚁种类总数、巢穴的密度及盖度大小顺序为: 小果野芭蕉 (Musa acuminata)群落>白背桐(Mallotus paniculatus)群落>思茅崖豆(Mellettia leptobotrya)群落, 并且热带森林的演替类型显著影响蚂蚁种类总数及巢穴密度, 而对巢穴盖度的影响未达到显著水平; 蚂蚁种类总数、巢穴密度与土壤总有机碳和水解氮显著正相关, 与土壤容重和土壤含水率显著负相关, 但所选择的土壤理化指标与巢穴盖度的相关性均未达到显著水平; 蚂蚁巢穴的空间分布呈随机分布格局。我们的数据表明, 不同演替阶段热带森林所形成的植被类型及土壤环境状况共同影响定居的蚂蚁种类总数与筑巢密度。  相似文献

海南岛吊罗山热带山地雨林两个演替阶段的种间联结性   总被引:16,自引:0,他引:16  
种间联结一直是群落演替理论研究的焦点之一, 关于物种间相互作用与群落演替之间的动态关系仍然存在争议。本文中, 作者通过出现-不出现数据的方差比例、基于2×2列联表的种间联结分析和 2检验, 对海南岛吊罗山热带山地雨林演替前期和演替后期群落的种间联结性进行了研究, 以揭示种间联结与群落演替的相互作用。结果表明: (1)在演替前期, 群落内所有树种间总体呈正联结, 但不显著; 发展至演替后期达到显著正联结。群落内所有物种间正、负联结种对数占总种对数的比例随演替进程呈现下降趋势, 而无联结种对数的比例则大幅上升; 优势种和伴生种间呈现相同的趋势。这表明群落演替正朝着有利于物种稳定共存的方向发展。(2)演替前期建群种和后期侵入种间正联结与无联结种对数的比例(分别为37.8%与41.5%)远大于负联结的比例(20.7%), 但正联结均不显著; 前期定居树种和后期侵入种通过分割资源而共存, 而且也趋于独立存在。(3)后期侵入种间不存在负联结, 所有正联结(占总对数的33.3%)均达显著水平, 显示它们对生境有相似的适应和相互重叠的生态位。  相似文献

以飒马场不同次生演潜阶段的半湿润常绿阔叶林为对象,测定物种丰富度、群落数量特征指标,分析植物多样性与群落结构特征之间的关系.结果表明,随着植物群落演替,物种丰富度不断增加,物种丰富度最高演替阶段的乔木层物种达到24个;植物多样性与植物个体密度间呈正相关关系;乔木层植物个体平均高与植物多样性间呈负相关关系;群落郁闭度和胸高断面积与植物多样性之间则呈对数函数关系.植物多样性与优势种个体密度和群落地上部分现存量间未呈现一致性规律.植物种-个体数间呈幂函数关系.随着植物多样性增加,种间竞争加剧.每个植物种为了维持临界最低种群,可能采取最大种群策略,导致群落植物个体数增加,密度增大,从而改变了群落结构特征.  相似文献

研究群落构建机制是群落生态学的一个重要目标, 群落动态过程中的构建规律对于了解群落演替机理有重要的作用。该文以海南岛刀耕火种干扰后自然恢复的10 hm 2热带低地雨林为研究对象, 通过比较不同恢复阶段的次生林(15年、30年和60年)和老龄林在幼苗、幼树和成年树群落的物种组成, 揭示次生演替过程中的群落构建规律。研究结果表明, 老龄林中不同径级群落的物种多样性及不同径级间的物种相似度显著高于各恢复阶段的次生林, 但优势种在群落中的比例低于各恢复阶段的次生林。随着自然恢复过程的进行, 次生林群落物种组成与老龄林的相似性也逐渐增大, 支持演替平衡理论。所有恢复阶段样地中幼苗的个体、物种丰富度和基于多度涵盖估计量(ACE)都低于幼树和成年树群落, 幼苗层物种组成与幼树、成年树也有较大差异, 说明新增到幼苗群落可能是一个难于预测的过程。研究结果说明了确定过程和随机过程共同决定了次生演替的群落构建。  相似文献

Discussion of successional change has traditionally focused on plants. The role of animals in producing and responding to successional change has received far less attention. Dispersal of plant propagules by animals is a fundamental part of successional change in the tropics. Here we review the role played by frugivorous bats in successional change in tropical forests. We explore the similarities and differences of this ecological service provided by New and Old World seed-dispersing bats and conclude with a discussion of their current economic and conservation implications. Our review suggests that frugivorous New World phyllostomid bats play a more important role in early plant succession than their Old World pteropodid counterparts. We propose that phyllostomid bats have shared a long evolutionary history with small-seeded early successional shrubs and treelets while pteropodid bats are principally dispersers of the seeds of later successional canopy fruits. When species of figs (Ficus) are involved in the early stages of primary succession (e.g. in the river meander system in Amazonia and on Krakatau, Indonesia), both groups of bats are important contributors of propagules. Because they disperse and sometimes pollinate canopy trees, pteropodid bats have a considerable impact on the economic value of Old World tropical forests; phyllostomid bats appear to make a more modest direct contribution to the economic value of New World tropical forests. Nonetheless, because they critically influence forest regeneration, phyllostomid bats make an important indirect contribution to the economic value of these forests. Overall, fruit-eating bats play important roles in forest regeneration throughout the tropics, making their conservation highly desirable.  相似文献

1. Set-aside fields have been an important element of the European agricultural landscape since the introduction of the set-aside scheme by the European Community. However, countries in the European Community differ in their rules for managing set-aside owing to different priorities.
2. In Sweden, a major goal is to reduce the total use of agricultural pesticides, consequently their use is prohibited in set-aside. The options for weed control are therefore cutting and/or the use of a cover crop.
3. In this study, we describe the course of succession following the abandonment of farmland managed in different ways. The floristic composition was followed over a 10-year period. Temporal trends in community development are described.
4. The experiment began in 1975 on farmland at six localities, distributed from southern to northern Sweden. The management treatments involving the application of fertilizers and cutting were applied to plots sown with a cover crop and to plots in which the succession started from bare ground.
5. We found that competitive interactions between species largely determined the successional course in our study. The competitive success of species was related to the management practices applied but there were also interactions between management and site conditions.
6. We propose that natural succession can be recommended on poor sites in combination with cutting, mainly to prevent the invasion of woody species. On fertile sites a cover crop should be used to suppress perennial weeds, and cutting is recommended mainly to increase species diversity.  相似文献

以功能性状为基础的方法可以用来探讨植物群落中功能性状如何响应环境并揭示植物生态策略的潜在驱动力,但有关功能性状与环境因子之间的关系随植物群落演替变化的研究仍然匮乏.作者以海南岛热带低地雨林刀耕火种弃耕后处于不同演替阶段的次生林(包括弃耕后恢复15年、30年及60年的次生林)和老龄林为对象,通过群落学调查和对木本植物的功能性状及样地环境因子的测定,分析了群落水平植物功能性状与环境因子关系随演替阶段的变化规律.结果表明,随着演替的进行,林冠开阔度、土壤养分、比叶面积、叶片氮含量、叶片磷含量和叶片总有机碳含量逐渐降低,叶片干物质含量、木材密度、潜在最大高度逐渐升高,而土壤水分和叶片钾含量变化不大.多元逐步回归分析表明,影响群落水平植物功能性状的主要环境因子随演替阶段而发生显著的变化,在15年、30年和60年的次生林及老龄林中,对群落水平植物功能性状影响最大的环境因子依次为土壤有机质和pH值、林冠开阔度和土壤总磷含量、土壤总钾和有效磷含量,以及土壤有机质含量和磷含量.同一功能性状在不同演替阶段受到不同环境因子的控制,同时各功能性状又能够对不同演替阶段所处的特殊环境产生一定的适应性.  相似文献

Nutrient levels, soil moisture and soil organic matter were monitored monthly during a three year period in a site cleared for shifting agriculture (milpa) and in adjacement undisturbed high bush forest soils in Belize. Throughout the study there was no evidence of a decline in available nutrient levels in the cleared site. Sharp changes in P and Mn were considered indicative of wetting and drying periods. Corn yields for the rainy season crop in the first two years were average for the region ca 2500 kg ha−1 dry wt, but declined dramatically in the third year. Total weed biomass for the rainy season crop conversely increased every year and reduced grain yield probably through competition for nutrients (especially N), light and water. Substantial amounts of nutrients were also immobilized in the weed biomass, which served the agroecological purpose of preventing nutrient loss by leaching.  相似文献

人工湿地抛荒的现象普遍存在,但针对抛荒后的自然演替过程对水鸟群落影响的研究较少.于2007、2008、2011年对崇明东滩自然抛荒的人工鱼塘水鸟群落展开调查,探究抛荒后的自然演替过程对水鸟群落结构及不同水鸟类群的影响.3a累计观察到水鸟59种12819只,隶属6目12科.其中抛荒前最多,共53种11001只;抛荒第1年22种1673只;抛荒第4年最少,9种145只.鱼塘抛荒后水鸟种类和数量下降剧烈,物种多样性先上升再下降,均匀度逐年上升,优势度先下降再上升.方差分析结果表明,5个群落特征都存在极显著年度差异(P1<0.01;P2<0.01;P3<0.01;P4=0.003;P5<0.01).非参数检验结果表明,不同类群水鸟的种类和数量逐年下降趋势明显,且年际差异极显著.即抛荒后的自然演替过程对水鸟群落产生了不利影响.建议采取人工管理措施防止旱化,增加环境异质性,恢复水鸟群落多样性.  相似文献

按空间代替时间序列的方法,对贵州省修文县小山坝岩溶型铝土矿区尾矿堆5个不同自然演替阶段苔藓植物多样性进行了研究。结果显示:(1)苔藓植物共有11科18属31种,其中藓类9科16属29种,苔类2科2属2种。在演替过程中,苔藓植物生活型单一,仅矮丛集型(占67.7%)和交织型(占32.3%),矮丛集型占优势地位。苔藓植物物种组成简单,纯群落较多,混合群落随演替阶段逐渐增多。(2)不同自然演替阶段苔藓植物群落Shannon-Wiener指数、Pielou均匀度指数和丰富度指数有所不同,裸岩阶段最低(0.196、0.283和-1.930),草灌丛阶段最高(3.470、1.281和2.342),乔灌木阶段逐渐下降(2.128、0.887和1.267)。苔藓植物种的替代速率与相似性变化趋势相反。小山坝岩溶型铝土矿区尾矿堆苔藓植物多样性在5个不同自然演替阶段呈先上升后下降的变化规律,多样性水平总体呈上升趋势,研究结果可为岩溶型铝土矿区生态恢复和生物多样性保护提供基础资料。  相似文献

氮(N)沉降深刻影响着森林生态系统的生物多样性、生产力和稳定性。亚热带地区森林土壤磷(P)的有效性较低,N沉降将更突显P的限制作用。N、P输入对亚热带次级森林土壤的影响是否依赖于森林演替阶段知之甚少。选取两种不同演替年龄阶段(年轻林:<40 a;老年林:>85 a)的亚热带常绿阔叶林,设置模拟N和/或P沉降(10 g m-2 a-1)4个处理(Ctrl、N、P、NP),连续处理4.5年后采集表层、次表层和下底层(0-15、15-30、30-60 cm)土壤样品,综合分析了土壤微生物生物量碳(MBC)氮(MBN)和多种土壤养分含量。结果表明,MBC、MBN及土壤养分含量均随土壤深度增加而降低。N添加对两种演替阶段森林土壤中MBC和MBN均无显著影响。施P相关处理(P和NP)对年轻林表层土壤MBC和MBN无显著影响,但显著增加了老年林表层土壤MBC和MBN(P<0.05),表明老年林可能比年轻林更易受P限制。N添加显著增加了两种演替森林表层土壤可溶性有机氮(DON)、氨态氮(NH4+-N)和硝态氮(NO3--N)的含量(P<0.05);P相关处理(P和NP)显著增加两种演替阶段表层和次表层土壤速效磷(AP)以及表层土壤全磷(TP)的含量(P<0.05)。土壤MBC和MBN与土壤中各养分指标(可溶性有机碳DOC、DON、NH4+-N、NO3--N、AP、全碳TC、全氮TN和TP)呈显著正相关关系,土壤TC、TN和DOC是影响土壤微生物生物量的主要因子。研究可为评估和揭示未来全球环境变化背景下不同演替林龄亚热带森林的土肥潜力及土壤质量的演变提供一定的科学理论依据。  相似文献

This paper emphasizes the contribution of remnant trees to the establishment of woody species during succession on abandoned fields and pastures in the Mexican rain forest area, Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. Remnant trees, original large forest trees left in the clearings by traditional farmers will become natural perching sites for both passing and resident birds. Frugivorous birds drop or regurgitate seeds and fruits which fall under the canopies of remnant trees during their stay, thus contributing to an accumulation of species, which make these remnant trees into ‘regeneration nuclei’. The species transported into these sites belong chiefly to older stages of successional development and reach these otherwise isolated areas, counteracting the depauperization of tropical land, brought about by both intensive and extensive clearing. In a study of seven remnant trees, 29 woody species and two climbers were found, 86% of which are bird dispersed. The total number of species per tree varied from 6 to 15 and was higher under remnant trees with fruits attractive to birds. Floristic variations of the understorey as detected by detrended correspondence analysis was correlated with the relative amount of shade-tolerant primary and late secondary trees versus light dependent pioneers and early successional trees.  相似文献
