Permian Eoblattida, which include the families Tillyardembiidae, Protembiidae (=Sylvardembiidae), Soyanopteridae, and Idelinellidae, are reviewed. The latter family is revised; it includes Idelinella macroptera Storozhenko, 1997 from the Middle Permian (Lower Kazanian Substage) of northern European Russia, Permostriga augustalis Novokshonov, 1999, Sylvastriga miranda Aristov, 2004, Strigulla cuculiophora (Aristov, 2002) comb. nov., Cucullistriga cucullata Aristov et Rasnitsyn, gen. et sp. nov., Scutistriga scutata Aristov et Rasnitsyn, gen. et sp. nov. from the Lower Permian (Kungurian Stage) of the Urals, Permeoblatta borealis Rasnitsyn et Aristov, 2010 from the Upper Permian (Upper Severodvinian Substage) of northern European Russia, and probably also Rasstriga americana Aristov et Rasnitsyn, gen. et sp. nov. from the Upper Carboniferous (Desmoinesian Stage) of Illinois.  相似文献

A collection of Cynodontia from the Permian of Eastern Europe is revised. The taxonomic position of a number of previously described forms is reconsidered. New taxa, Novocynodon kutorgai gen. et sp. nov. (Thrinaxodontidae) from the Middle Permian and Sludica bulanovi gen. et sp. nov. (Procynosuchidae) from the Upper Permian, are described.  相似文献

The family Cacurgidae is revised. In addition to the type genus Cacurgus Handlirsch, 1911 from the Upper Carboniferous of the United States, Ideliopsis ovalis Carpenter, 1948 from the Lower Permian of the United States and Kitshuga ryzhkovae gen. et sp. nov. from the Upper Permian of Russia are included in this family. An undescribed genus from the Upper Carboniferous of Argentina (Béthoux and Nel, 2002) is also placed in this family. Relationships of Cacurgidae are discussed, and the family is included in the order Grylloblattida.  相似文献

A new mayfly genus and species, Alexandrinia gigantea gen. et sp. nov., is described in the family Protereismatidae from the Upper Permian locality of Isady (Severodvinian Stage, Poldarsa Formation). Protereisma directum Carpenter, 1979, known from the Early Permian of Oklahoma, United States, is transferred to this new genus. Another new species, Misthodotes tshernovae sp. nov., is described in the family Misthodotidae.  相似文献

Ostracodes Healdianella splendida Belousova, Paraparchites ganelini sp. nov., Paraparchites? hivachensis sp. nov. and Arcibairdia vodopadniensis sp. nov. are described from the Upper Permian deposits of the Khivach Formation (Kolyma-Omolon Basin, Eastern Siberia). Paraparchites species most closely resemble ancient Paleozoic ostracodes of the Boreal province. Valve morphology of Healdianella and Acribairdia points to their similarity to ostracodes from the upper levels of the Upper Permian of the Tethyan realm.  相似文献

The temnospondylCheliderpeton vranyi Fritsch, 1877 from the Lower Permian Ruprechtice horizon (Rotliegend) of the Intrasudetic Basin (Bohemia, Czech Republic) is redescribed. Many features of the skeleton permit a new understanding of the type species and consequently of the genus. Diagnostic characters are the narrow and round-tipped snout, straight to convex outline of the skull roof, narrow and long otic notch, posteriorly expanded quadratojugal, and the relatively wide and short rhombic interclavicle. The ilium with a short, expanded dorsal branch and the missing contact of nasal/maxilla are features shared with the related Upper PermianIntasuchus from Russia and the Eryopidae.Actinodon germanicus is a junior synonym ofCheliderpeton vranyi.   相似文献

The family Epideigmatidae is revised. New members of this family from the Lower Permian of Russia: Vilvaptera permyakovae, gen. et sp. nov. (Vilva locality, Artinskian Stage, Perm Region) and Tshekardeigma rasnitsyni, gen. et sp. nov. (Chekarda locality, Kungurian Stage, Perm Region) are described. Paraphenopterum unicolor Storozhenko, 1992 (Soyana locality, Kazanian Stage, Arkhangelsk Region) is redescribed. The family Stenoneuritidae is regarded as a synonym of Epideigmatidae; the genera Fayoliella Meunier, 1908 (Upper Carboniferous of France), Fabreciella Carpenter, 1934 (Upper Carboniferous of the USA), and Turbopterum Kukalová, 1964 (Lower Permian of the Czech Republic) are transferred to Epideigmatidae. Fabreciella allegheniensis Carpenter, 1934 is synonimized under F. pennsylvanica Carpenter, 1934.  相似文献

A study of both silicified and nonsilicified specimens of Permian reticularioid brachiopods from South China suggests thatPermophricodothyris, a genus previously rarely reported from China, is actually very common and abundant in the Middle and especially Upper Permian of South China. This study also clarifies, for the first time, that many of the reticularioid brachiopod species previously described asSquamularia in fact belong toPermophricodothyris. The new data presented in this paper also allows a critical evaluation ofPermophricodothyris in relation to its closest allies:Phricodothyris, Squamularia, Bullarina andNeophricodothyris. The revision reveals that a total of 18Permophricodothyris species are present in the Middle and Upper Permian of South China, with only one species,P. squamularioides, having survived the Permian-Triassic mass extinction. Two species,P. grandis (Chao) andP. guangxiensis Han, Zhou & Wang, are redescribed here, providing critical new information on the morphology and taxonomy of these species.  相似文献

An ovulate strobilus from the Upper Triassic Deep River Basin, North Carolina, has helically arranged, loosely aggregated, elongated, spatulate bracts with axillary ovule-bearing appendages with about 8–10 ovules attached in two lateral rows, with outwardly directed micropyles. The axillary ovuliferous appendage is homologous with the voltzialean fertile dwarf shoot, but probably not directly evolved from it. More credible is a suggested origin from a completely fertile axillary appendage such as that of the Lower Permian Trichopitys. The occurrence of this cone, Metridiostrobus palissyaeoides, gen. and sp. nov., along with Compsostrobus neotericus and Voltzia andrewsii, reflects considerable diversity among conifer ovulate cones during the Upper Triassic.  相似文献

A new almost complete specimen ofCoelurosauravus is reported from the Kupferschiefer (Upper Permian) at Mansfeld, Sachsen/Anhalt (Germany). The well preserved posterior half of the skull differs from the previous finds by the large parietals and squamosals. The latter are interpreted as Single elements, rather than as combination of squamosal and supratemporal, and it is supposed that they may have been partially mobile, features of a male individual, and could be deployed in order to produce a threat display. Thin-sections of the patagial spars show the typical anatomical structures of lamellar bones with rather sparsely distributed osteocyte lacunae. Compared to earlier reconstructions a new restoration of the complete skeleton ofCoelurosauravus has a shorter trunk and “wings” with a delta-shaped outline and a feather-like “foresail”. What may be an impression of the patagium is preserved on one specimen in association with the second spar. The presumed mechanism of unfolding and folding the patagium is tried to be reconstructed.  相似文献

The holotype of the Upper Permian gliding reptile Weigeltisaurus jaekeli is redescribed. Comparison with the Madagascan reptile Coelurosauravus shows that the two forms are congeneric. Coelurosauravus Piveteau, 1926 has priority. The Upper Permian genus Gracilisaurus Weigelt, 1930 is reviewed and referred to Coelurosauravus.  相似文献

New members of the family Blattogryllidae are described, including Permoblattogryllus praecox gen. et sp. nov. from the Middle Permian Soyana locality in Russia, Protoblattogryllus nedubrovensis from the Lower Triassic Nedubrovo locality in Russia, Madygenocephalus micropteron gen. et sp. nov. (the second known case of brachyptery in grylloblattids), and Costatoviblatta similis sp. nov. from the Middle Triassic Madygen locality in Kyrgyzstan. Protoblattogryllus zajsanicus Storozhenko, 1990 from the Upper Permian Karaungir II locality in Kazakhstan is redescribed. The genus Microblattogryllus Storozhenko, 1990 from Madygen is considered to be a synonym of Protoblattogryllus Storozhenko, 1990. Protoblattogryllus abruptus Storozhenko, 1990 from the Madygen locality is transferred to the genus Mesoblattogryllus Storozhenko, 1990.  相似文献

Recent investigations carried out in the Ib River Coalfield, Mahanadi Master Basin, Orissa, identified some fossiliferous beds in the Lower Gondwana deposits. Two exposures of the Lower Kamthi Formation yielded diverse and abundant plant remains, which includeNeomariopteris, Vertebraria, and a scale leaf along with 14Glossopteris species otherwise mapped as Barren Measures and Upper Kamthi formations.Glossopteris indica dominates the flora (22.78%) followed byG. communis (17.72%) andG. browniana (13.92%). Based on megafloral assemblages, different beds exposed at Gopalpur and Laxamanpur Pahar are assigned here to the Lower Kamthi Formation (Late Permian). The floristic composition suggests that a warm and humid climate prevailed during the Late Permian. The status of the Kamthi Formation in the Ib River Coalfield has been redefined in the present study.  相似文献

Summary Microbial organisms significantly contributed to the accumulation of shallow-marine carbonates in an open-ocean realm of the Panthalassan Ocean during Late Carboniferous-Early Permian time. The Jigokudai plateau in the northern part of the Akiyoshidai Plateau is the study area, where the limestone of the Upper Carboniferous Kasimovian Stage to the Lower Permian Artinskian Stage is well exposed. The fusulinid biostratigraphy as well as top-bottom geopetal fabrics revealed that the rocks of the study area are overturned. The thickness of this succession is approximated to 150 m. The succession is lithologically divided into the Lower Jigokudai and Upper Jigokudai formations. The lime-stones of these formations were deposited in a lagoonal setting. The Lower Jigokudai formation (95 m thick: Kasimovian to Asselian) is characterized by sand shoal facies represented by crinoid-Tubiphytes-fusulinid peloidal pack/grainstones and oolitic grainstones. Phylloid algal grain/packstones and microbial boundstones subordinately crop out. The Upper Jigokudai Formation (55 m thick: Sakmarian to Artinskian) is characterized by shoal and tidal flat facies represented by mollusk-fusulinid peloidal grain/rudstones, and peloidal grain/rudstones and peloidal lime-mudstones, respectively. Laterally discontinuous microbial bound-stones occur intercalated in mollusk-fusulinid peloidal grain/rudstones. This formation contains pendant and meniscus cements, and flat-pebble breccia indicative of an intertidal deposition and subaerial exposure. Various types of boundstone and organosedimentary structures constructed mainly by filamentous cyanobacteria,Tubiphytes obscurus tubular microproblematicum A, and other microproblematica were recognized. Significant facies types are (1) filamentous cyanobacteria-microproblematicum A bind/framestones, (2)Tubiphytes obscurus bindstones, (3) stromatolitic bindstones, (4) microbial laminites, (5) microbially linked structures, (6) oncoids, (7) microproblematica B-C framestones. The calcimicrobes, combined with synsedimentary cementation, formed small-scale and low-relief mounds of these facies, and greatly contributed to the deposition of the Kasimovian to Artinskian Panthalassan buildup.  相似文献

The skeleton of a long-ribbed reptile from the Upper Permian Marl Slate of north-east England is described. The animal is assigned to the genus Weigeltisaurus , previously recorded from the Kupferschiefer of West Germany. Long-ribbed reptiles from the Upper Permian of Madagascar are also considered. Daedalosaurus Carroll, 1978 is a junior synonym of Coelurosauravus Piveteau, 1926. The European and Madagascan genera can be accommodated within a single family Coelurosauravidae, Infraclass Eosuchia. The skull is diapsid with an incomplete lower temporal arcade. Comparison with the modern Draco and the Upper Triassic kuehneosaurids supports the conclusion that the coelurosauravids were effective gliders.  相似文献
