This paper provides the length–weight relationships for six fish species collected from the Anning River, one of the biggest tributaries of the Yalong River in China. A total of 1096 specimens belonging to six fish species were analyzed. Among them, the length–weight relationships for 4 fish species are first‐time reports for FishBase and new maximum lengths of one fish species is also reported.  相似文献

Evaluated were the length–weight relationships of six freshwater fish species caught in the Santa Cruz Reservoir in the semiarid region of Brazil: one Characidae, one Prochilodontidae, one Anostomidae, two Loricariidae and one Cichlidae, providing the first references of length–weight relationships and new maximum lengths for these species.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships were estimated for 9 nemacheilian loaches of Iran. Four of these species are endemic to Iran and the L‐W parameters of six species are given for the first time. Significant length‐weight relationships with high correlation coefficient were found for all species. The value of parameter b ranged from 2.81 to 3.12.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships of six fish species are presented. Fish samples were collected from the Lancang River, in the Chinese section of the Upper Mekong River, in southwestern China. This study reports the first length–weight relationship for one of these species.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships are presented for nine fish species from the floodplain lakes in the Central Amazon (Amazon Basin, Brazil). The parameter slope b values in the length–weight relationships ranged from 2.33 to 3.28 for grouped sexes, and from 2.7 to 3.61 for separated sexes. Differences between sexes were verified in three species. Sizes at first sexual maturation ranged from 9.14 to 23.97. This study provides a new reference for the length–weight relationships of six species.  相似文献

This paper reports the length–weight relationships of 16 fish species belonging to three families and ten genera from the Tarim River in China. Length–weight relationships for ten fish species were unknown to Fishbase, and new maximum lengths are given for six species. The r2 values ranged from 0.972 to 0.995. Values of b varied from 2.79 to 3.49.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships were determined for 11 fish species from the tributary of Amur River in Fuyuan, northeastern China. This is the first record of length‐weight relationships for six of these species.  相似文献

The weight–length relationships (WLRs) for six endemic fish species of Greece are presented here. All WLRs were highly significant (P < 0.001), and reported for the first time for five of the six species. Moreover, for three of the species studied, new maximum body lengths are provided.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships are described for six fish species belonging to two families from the Poonch River, a tributary of the Jhelum River (Tributary of Indus Basin), India. Length–weight relationships for the six species were unknown to FishBase, and new maximum lengths are recorded for five of the species. These results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation of the Indus Basin.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships were estimated for 16 fish species (Cyprinidae) from the Liuxihe National Aquatic germplasm resources conservation areas in China. This study presents the first reference on length–weight relationships for 12 species and new records of maximum length for six species.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships were estimated for six fish species occurring in direct tributaries of the Lower Paranapanema River Basin. Data is described for the first time for five species and new measurements are provided for one species in the FishBase database. Studies of fish diversity are critical for species management and conservation, especially in this basin, which has suffered from many anthropical impacts.  相似文献

The length–weight relationships (LWRs) were estimated for six non‐indigenous fish species, namely, Apogon smithi (Kotthaus, 1970); Ostorhinchus fasciatus (White, 1790); Pomadasys stridens (Forsskål, 1775); Champsodon capensis Regan, 1908; Torquigener flavimaculosus Hardy & Randall, 1983; and Tylerius spinosissimus (Regan, 1908) from Iskenderun Bay, eastern Mediterranean Sea. Their length–weight relationship b values ranged from 2.902 to 3.501, and all regressions were found to be significant for all six species (P < 0.001). This study is the first reference on length–weight relationships for these six non‐indigenous fish species from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea coast of Turkey.  相似文献

Estimated length–weight relationships are presented for 11 marine fish species representing six families, found above the continental shelf and in the pelagial of the Okhotsk Sea. A total of 13,841 specimens were caught by trawls that were equipped with a 1.0 by 1.2 cm mesh webbing inset. The period between 1974 and 2015 comprised mostly spring and autumn months. All length–weight relationships were highly significant (r2 ≥ .95) on a log scale. None of the species had previous length–weight estimates, and two species had no previous length–length estimates in the FishBase.  相似文献

The relation between length (L) and weight (W) was estimated for 32 species representing 12 families of fishes from six water resources in the Marmara region, Turkey. The parameter b ranged from 2.66 to 3.56. For 12 species length–weight relationships were not previously available.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships (LWR) were estimated for six reef species in Chuuk lagoon (Federated States of Micronesia) captured by commercial fishers. Specimens were sampled opportunistically over a period of 2 months between July and September 2014. Relationships include those for four common species not currently reported in FishBase (Caesio teres, Myripristis adusta, Lethrinus erythracanthus, and Chlorurus frontalis), and for two species with relationships based on just one or two samples (Scarus oviceps, and Plectropomus oligacanthus). While estimates for some species are tentative given limited size‐range sampling, they still present an improvement in the currently available LWRs.  相似文献

This paper reports the length–weight relationships for six fish species belonging to the Cyprinidae from the middle of the Yalu Tsangpo River in China. Samples were obtained by electroshock and drift net fishing techniques (mesh size 2 cm × 3 cm; 200 m net length) in April and September to October 2014. Length–weight relationships estimates for these species were not available in FishBase. A total of 737 specimens were used to estimate the a and b parameters. New maximum total lengths are also reported for six species. The r2 values range from 0.98 to 0.99. Values of b vary from 2.88 to 3.19.  相似文献

This study provides new length–weight relationship information for 21 neotropical fish species. Specimens were collected between 2004 and 2005 from the lower section of the Santa Lucía river basin (Uruguay). Presented are also the first reference on weight–length relationships for these 21 species, and new maximum sizes for six of these species.  相似文献
