Carcinine (β-alanylhistamine) is present in ail Portunidae, whether they belong to the subfamilies Portuninae, Polybiinae or Carcininae. Portunidae are thus an homogenous group regarding this biochemical character. The compound is also present in Atelecyclidae making them akin to Portunidae. The Messinian coral reefs of Oranie (western Algeria) often contain determinable remnants of decapods (carapaces, chelae). Six species are mentioned, all of them for the first time from the Upper Miocene of Algeria. Further, a new species (Lachnopodus murdjadjensis) is proposed. This decapod association seems to be a characteristic reefdwelling one. Its affinities are discussed.  相似文献

Tychoplanktonic and epilithic diatom samples were taken monthly during one year at 18 sites in small lowland rivers in the northern central region of Portugal. Canonical correspondence analysis was used to explore the relationships between measured environmental variables and patterns in the diatom assemblages. Conductivity, HCO3, and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were the most significant environmental variables influencing the structure of the tychoplankton and of the epilithon. Other less important variables, such as K+, Fe, N(NO3), and Na+ also explained significant (P < 0.05) amounts of variance. The ordination diagrams showed very similar distribution of the tychoplanktonic and epilithic diatom samples. At sites with similar geomorphology as in this study, it is possible to use only one of these samples for water quality evaluation. The optima and tolerances of some diatom taxa were calculated for the most influential variables. Although the diatoms showed high tolerances to some environmental parameters, it was possible to establish groups of taxa with defined and distinctive ecological preferences. Two species groups stood out depending on the alkalinity and mineralization of the water. With a moderate conductivity (> 600 μS·cm−1), alkaline pH, HCO3 concentrations equal or higher than 150 mg·l−1, the first group includes Achnanthes hungarica Grunow, Amphora pediculus (Kützing) Grunow, Bacillaria paxillifera (O. F. Müller) Hendey, Cymatopleura solea (Brébisson) W. Smith, Navicula accomoda Hustedt, Navicula lanceolata (Agardh) Ehrenberg, Navicula trivialis Lange-Bertalot, Nitzschia hungarica Grunow. In waters of lower conductivity (varying between 72 and 262 μS·cm−1) slightly acid pH (6 to 6.5) and HCO3−1 lower than 46 mg·l−1 the following species were common: Achnanthes oblongella Östrup, Achnanthes subatomoides (Hustedt) Lange-Bertalot, et Archibald, Cymbella gracilis (Ehrenberg) Kützing, Cymbella naviculiformis Auerswald, Diatoma mesodon (Ehrenberg) Kützing, and Eunotia exigua (Brébisson) Rabenhorst. Considering COD, two further groups were distinguished. At high values (> 40 mg·l−1) the following taxa were observed: Achnanthes delicatula (Kützing) Grunow, Navicula capitata Ehrenberg var. hungarica (Grunow) Ross, Nitzschia nana Grunow, Pinnularia interrupta W. Smith, Thalassiosira pseudonana Hasle & Heimdal, Thalassiosira weisflogii (Grunow) Fryxell et Hasle. For lower values than 19 mg·l−1, we found Cymbella naviculiformis Auerswald, Diatoma mesodon (Ehrenberg) Kützing, Eunotia exigua (Brébisson) Rabenhorst, Fragilaria arcus (Ehrenberg) Cleve, and Nitzschia epithemioides Grumow var. disputata (Carter) Lange-Bertalot.  相似文献

Summary The activities of (±)-abscisic acid and a number of compounds derived from p-coumaric acid and coumarin and their interaction with gibberellic acid in the control of the elongation of the first wheat leaf are examined. (±)-Abscisic acid strongly inhibits leaf growth in the presence as well as in the absence of gibberellic acid, but the inhibition is greater in the presence of gibberellic acid (3 g/l already have an observable effect). Among other compounds, only ferulic acid and coumarin significantly reduce leaf elongation, and they are effective only at high concentrations (1.44 · 10-4 M/l).  相似文献

Résumé Des substances muqueuses ont été examinées par des méthodes histochimiques au niveau des organes récepteurs cutanés de type ampullaire (organe de type A, Szabo, 1965) faisant partie du système de la ligne latérale des poissons électriques à faible décharge Gnathonemus petersii (Mormyridés), Gymnotus carapo (Gymnotidés) et Gymnarchus niloticus (Gymnarchidés).Les réactions à l'acide périodique Schiff (P.A.S.) et au bleu de toluidine en solution tampon montrent que les polysaccharides de tous ces organes possèdent des groupements vic-glycols responsables de la positivité au P.A.S.On trouve des mucopolysaccharides neutres au niveau de chaque organe ampullaire. Le cytoplasme des cellules sensorielles de l'organe ampullaire du Gymnotus carapo et lui seul contient du Glycogène. En dehors des mucopolysaccharides neutres, on observe des mucopolysaccharides acides notamment dans le canal épidermique de l'organe de type A de Gymnarchus niloticus et au contact de la région apicale des cellules sensorielles de l'organe de Gnathonemus petersii. Ces derniers sont métachromatiques, leur métachromasie étant dûe à un radical acide carboxylé.
Comparative histochemical study of mucopolysaccharids in the ampullary sense organs of weakly electric fish: Gnathonemus petersii (Mormyridae), Gymnotus carapo (Gymnotidae) and Gymnarchus niloticus (Gymnarchidae)
Summary The mucoides substances of lateral line receptors of ampullary type have been examined in the weakly electric fish Gnathonemus petersii (Mormyridae), Gymnotus carapo (Gymnotidae), Gymnarchus niloticus (Gymnarchidae), by different histochemical methods. Periodic acid Schiff reaction (P.A.S.) and puffered Toluidine Blue tain show, that the polysaccharid of all these three organs contain a vic-glycol groupe, responsible for the positive P.A.S. reaction.Neutral polysaccharids were found at the level of all ampullary type of organ. Only the cytoplasm of the sensory cells in Gymnotus carapo contains glycogen.Acid mucopolysaccharids were observed in the epidermal canal (extracellularly) of Gymnarchus niloticus and also in the close neighbourghood of the sensory cells in Gnathonemus. These acid mucopolysaccharids are metachromatic because of their acid carboxylic radicle.

La prise en charge par le biologiste de certaines analyses délocalisées se trouve grandement facilitée par la mise en place d’un système informatique reliant l’analyseur délocalisé et le laboratorie. Elle apporte un niveau de sécurité nécessaire pour la prise de responsabilité du laboratoire dans l’acte de biologie délocalisé. L’architecture réseau de la plupart de h?pitaux permet maintenant de transmettre très facilement et de manière fiable des données entre plusieurs services voire entre établissements. Les analyseurs de gazométrie sanguine permettent cette connexion, de plus en plus d’industriels développent d’autres paramètres en plus des simples gaz du sang comme dernièrement l’urée et la créatinine. Les analyseurs permettant de doser les marqueurs cardiaques, ceux réalisant l’hémostase sont désormais fréquemment connectables. Chaque industriel du diagnostic proposant des analyseurs de glycémie a ou va prochainement commercialiser un modèle connectable. Il en est de même pour les bandelettes urinaires. Il est donc probable, et les biologistes sont les premiers demandeurs, que la connexion informatique d’analyseurs de biologie installés dans les unités de soins, soit un pré-requis pour la gestion des analyses délocalisées par le biologiste, et sa prise de responsabilité dans les résultats biologiques issus de ces analyseurs.  相似文献

A higher survival rate and faster wound healing in dogs on a controlled and well-balanced diet have been demonstrated when compared with those not under dietetic control.Electrophoretic comparison of serum proteins was carried out in two groups of dogs. The first was on a well-controlled and well-balanced diet; the second group received an uncontrolled diet. The dogs in Group 2 had a lower concentration of total proteins, and globulins, especially gamma-globulins, were diminished; however, the serum albumin was higher. The albumin/globulin ratio was 0.93 in Group 1 and 2.07 in Group 2.Serum electrolyte levels also showed some slight differences. Sodium and potassium levels were higher in well-nourished dogs, while chloride and bicarbonates were slightly lower.  相似文献
