Trichogramma cordubensis n. sp. is a parasite ofHeliothis armigera Hb. eggs in cotton crops in western Andalusia. Reproduced onEphestia kuehniella Zeller eggs, it is described morphologically and compared withT. chilonis Ishii andT. evanescens Westwood as both present similarities with this species.T. cordubensis can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the shape of the dorsal expansion of the gonobase and the size, shape and relative position of the median ventral projection. Male antennal setae are longer inT. cordubensis than in the other 2 species. In addition, unlikeT. chilonis andT. evanescens, T. cordubensis is thelytokous at 20°C. in our laboratory, though males and gynandromorphs can be obtained by altering the rearing temperature, this being another difference of this species.  相似文献

Strophomenid brachiopods belonging to the generaLeptaena andLepidoleptaena are described from the uppermost Llandovery — Ludlow succession of Gotland, Sweden. In Gotland,Lepidoleptaena comprises the single speciesL. poulseni, andLeptaena includes four species:L. rhomboidalis, L. sperion, L. depressa andL. parvirugata n. sp.L. depressa shows a considerable amount of morphological variation, which is recognised in the two new subspeciesLeptaena depressa visbyensis n. ssp. from the Llandoverian — Wenlockian Visby Formation, andL. depressa lata n. ssp. from the mid-Wenlockian Slite Group. The distribution of the different species is largely substrate-dependent, withLeptaena rhomboidalis andLepidoleptaena poulseni adapted to high-energy environments with firm substrates, whereas the remaining species preferred fine-grained substrates in low-energy environments.   相似文献

Summary The author reviews the European species of the Pteromalid genusCallitula Spinola and keys them out. All four species develop as parasites, probably all on small Diptera: two species [pyrrhogaster (Walk.) andbicolor spin.] on Cecidomyids and Chloropids in grass stems, two species are associated withPhragmites communis [C. ferrierei sp. n. andelongatus (Thoms)]. From the latter two one is described as new and in the other (elongatus) the so-far-unknown male is described. *** DIRECT SUPPORT *** A5180147 00002   相似文献

The genusLepidapedon is subdivided into several species groups and subgroups of species based on the vitelline distribution and the length of the excretory vesicle. The species in each of the subgroups are listed and keys to the species in most subgroups are given. The following north-eastern Atlantic species are described or redescribed:Lepidapedon rachion fromMelanogrammus aeglefinus, Gadus morhua, Aspitrigla cuculus, Merlangius merlangus andPollachius pollachius; L. cambrensis fromEnchelyopus cimbrius; L. sommervillae n. sp. fromTrachyrincus scabrus, T. murrayi andCoryphaenoides guentheri; L. elongatum fromGadus morhua; L. gaevskayae fromCoryphaenoides (Nematonurus) armatus; L. discoveryi n. sp. fromCoryphaenoides (Nematonurus) armatus; L. arlenae n. sp. fromTrachyrincus scabrus andT. murrayi; L. mariannae n. sp. fromGaidropsarus argentatus; Lepidapedon spp. innom (Elongatum-group) fromCoryphaenoides guentheri andCoryphaenoides (Chalinura) leptolepis; L. desclersae n. sp. fromLepidion eques; L. beveridgei fromCoryphaenoides (Nematonurus) armatus andC. (Chalinura) mediterraneus; andL. zubchenkoi fromCoryphaenoides (Chalinura) leptolepis andC. (C.) profundicolus. The phylogeny, host-specificity and zoogeography of the genus are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Pulveroboletus shoreae sp. nov. andXerocomus bakshii sp. nov. (Boletaceae) are described as new. Observations at the type locality show that they are both connected with short roots of the ectotrophic-mycorrhizal type, theXerocomus withPinus roxburghii, thePulveroboletus withShorea robusta, Fam. Dipterocarpaceae. This latter family has not been shown to form ectotrophs with ectotrophically mycorrhizal Basidiomycetes before our present research.  相似文献

A new yeast species is described,C. steatolytica, which strongly hydrolizes fat and grows withi-inositol as the sole source of carbon. OtherCandida species capable of usingi-inositol are compared and their classification discussed.C. nivalis andC. frigida are considered to be synonymous withC. curiosa andC. curvata withC. humicola. C. punicea produces ballistospores and must be rejected from the genusCandida.I would like to express my thanks to Dr. J. P. van der Walt for the opportunity of studying this species and for suggesting the specific epithet.  相似文献

Summary A new genusDivittus is proposed in the subfamily Tylenchorhynchinae Eliava, 1964 with only three incisures in the non-areolated lateral fields and the body cuticle without longitudinal ridges or lamellae. It is also proposed to restrictTrilineellus Lewis & Golden, 1981 to its type species only, i.e.,T. clathrocutis which has three incisures in the lateral fields and longitudinal ridges or lamellae on the body, andTylenchorhynchus to species which have four incisures in the lateral fields but no ridges or lammellae.T. divittatus Siddiqi, 1961,T. triglyphus Seinhorst, 1963 andT. sculptus Seinhorst, 1963 which were transferred toTrilineellus by Lewis & Golden (1981) are now included inDivittus with the following species ofTylenchorhynchus which have three incisures in the lateral fields:T. obscurisulcatus Andrássy, 1959,T. chonai Sethi & Swarup, 1968,T. madrasensis Gupta & Uma, 1981 andT. pruni Gupta & Uma, 1981. The synonymy ofT. chonai withT. triglyphus proposed by Tarjan (1973) is not accepted.Divittus labiatus n.sp. from soil around roots of sugarcane from north-eastern Nigeria is described. It is characterized by having the lip region continuous with the body, the spear 14–16 m long, the basal oesophageal bulb with a small overlap over the intestine and the tail with a large post-anal intestinal sac and 20 to 30 annules. A key to species ofDivittus is provided. ac]19830105  相似文献

Summary The crossing study between 2 very similars strains ofTrichogramma indicates that 2 sibling species were confused:T. evanescens Westwood andT. maidis n. sp. The first parasitizes mainly Lepidopterous eggs on cabbage while the second parasitizesOstrinia nubilalis Hubn. (Lep.: Pyralidae) eggs.T. evanescens is redescribed andT. maidis n. sp. described. The chief differences relate to the notch of the dorsal expansion of gonobase in the male genitalia and to the number of antennal bristles in the two sexes.
