Hearts of 220 human corpses, who had not any cardiovascular system disease during their life, have been distributed into age groups, beginning from fetuses up to old age. By means of injection, silver nitrate impregnation and scanning electron microscopy methods, applied to corrosive preparations, morphological mechanisms of the blood stream regulation in the hemomicrocirculatory bed of the human heart have been revealed in ontogenesis. The first group of the regulation mechanisms includes proper mechanisms inherent in the links of the microbed: spatial orientation of microvessels, precapillary sphincters, anastomoses between these vessels, sequence in arrangement of the endothelial cell nuclei, length, diameter and number of links in the microcirculatory bed. The second group embraces those mechanisms, that depend on structure of the myocardial wall, influencing the microcirculatory bed.  相似文献

Arteries, veins, capillaries and lymphatic vessels situated in the mesovarium and mesosalpinx of domestic animal species (pig, cow, sheep) form the periovarian vascular complex. Particular components of the periovarian vascular complex interact functionally and morphologically creating a specific environment for numerous physiological processes. The complex plays an essential role in the system of the retrograde transfer of the ovarian hormones. This phenomenon is especially well documented in pigs. The efficiency of the retrograde transfer of estradiol and progesterone from blood and lymph leaving the gonad to blood of the ovarian artery (expressed as percentage of their concentration in the ovarian venous blood) as well as the rate of the retrograde transfer of these hormones to the ovary (measured in nanograms or picograms per minute) is presented and discussed in this paper. No simple relationship was found between hormone concentration in ovarian venous effluent and the efficiency or the rate of their retrograde transfer during the estrous cycle. It appears that two processes contribute to the highly efficient retrograde transfer of ovarian hormones into the ovary in the periovarian vascular complex: 1/ direct hormone permeation from the ovarian vein into the adjacent branches of the ovarian artery through the counter-current mechanism; 2/ indirect permeation of ovarian hormones consisting of two stages. The first stage includes the permeation of hormones from lymph leaving the ovary via the subovarian lymphatic vascular network as well as lymph and venous blood, leaving the mesosalpinx and going to capillaries and tiny venous vessels in the entire mesovarium. These tiny mesovarium vessels connect and then branch out again to form the veno-venous network on the surface of branches of the ovarian artery. The second stage includes the permeation of hormones from the veno-venous blood into the branches of the ovarian artery. The authors present a hypothesis that the retrograde transfer of ovarian hormones may participate in the feedback regulation of ovarian function. The relationship between the retrograde transfer of ovarian hormones in the area of periovarian vascular complex and local elevation of steroid hormone concentrations in blood supplying the oviduct and uterus is presented. The paper also includes suggestions for future research.  相似文献

To investigate the influence of fetal sex on maternal testosterone levels throughout pregnancy, blood was sampled from 37 healthy pregnant women from week 14 until term and at 6 weeks postpartum. Testosterone concentrations were measured with a highly specific RIA after chromatographic purification. Mean (+/- SD) testosterone at the end of gestation was significantly higher compared to non-pregnant values (3.10 +/- 2.38 mM/l, n = 32 vs 1.14 +/- 1.06 nM/l, n = 35). It appeared that in women carrying a male fetus testosterone levels gradually increased during pregnancy up to 3.99 +/- 2.72 nM/l. In women carrying a female fetus the levels decreased after the first trimester from 2.44 nM/l to 1.80 nM/l. A statistically significant difference (P less than 0.01) existed in maternal testosterone concentrations between both groups during the second half of pregnancy.  相似文献

The pancreas from 111 corpses of persons, male and female, at the age of 16-92 years with various pathology has been investigated. The pancreatic blood vessels are injected with protacryl and undergone subsequent corrosion. The correlative and regressive analyses of the measurements reveal that age, height, character of pathology influence the state of the pancreatic blood vessels. It is recommended to observe the following conditions for choosing the donor of the pancreas graft: age under 35, middle height (especially for women), absence of corporal comotion and vast trauma, that essentially influence the vessels (causing spasm, disturbed integrity of the vascular wall), angiographic control conducted during washing or perfusion of the graft vascular bed.  相似文献

Changes of the pulmonary artery branches in rats at the state of relative physiological rest undergo two stages during the process of individual adaptation for 60 days. The first is characterized with generalized decrease of the lumen and with thickening of the vascular wall as a result of reflectory spasm and edematous swelling of the arteries, the second--with a relative dilatation of the lumen and with decreasing thickness of the vascular wall, as a result of decreasing reflectory spasm and edematous phenomena. The physical load increases the organism's elevated oxygen consumption under conditions of high-altitude, which is increased by itself; this intensifies the function of the pulmonary blood bed. In combination with the edematous phenomena, the wall of the pulmonary artery becomes sharply thickened in the first stage. In the second stage the tissue mechanisms are switched on for satisfaction of oxygen consumption. Therefore, the load on the right part of the heart and on the pulmonary vessels decreases edematous phenomena, the thickness of the wall in the pulmonary artery branches decline, in comparison with the data of the first stage. The thickness of the wall in the first stage is combined with a manifested constriction of the lumen, and the relative thinning of the vascular wall--with dilatation.  相似文献

This investigation assessed the efficacy of a biobehavioral intervention in the adjunctive treatment of mild pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), a potentially serious complication of pregnancy in which normotensive women develop hypertension, proteinuria, and edema of unknown etiology late in gestation. Forty-five women with symptoms of PIH were randomly assigned to one of three treatment conditions: bed rest alone (the most common obstetrical treatment), bed rest with individualized compliance enhancement training, or a four-session biobehavioral treatment consisting of bed rest, compliance enhancement training, and individualized thermal biofeedback-assisted relaxation training. Results indicated that while blood pressure for the bed rest and compliance enhancement groups continued to rise and pose an increasing health risk to maternal and fetal well-being, subjects in the biobehavioral group maintained their blood pressure at a significantly lower, and presumably safer, level. The biobehavioral treatment is hypothesized to affect blood pressure levels in subjects with mild PIH through the mediation of the sympathetic nervous system, decreasing peripheral vascular resistance and cardiac output. The results of this investigation suggest that the biobehavioral intervention may be an effective adjunct to bed rest in the treatment of mild PIH remote from term.  相似文献

The paravascular bed of the cardiac vessels has been studied in 128 human fetuses at the age of 3-9 lunar months. Anatomical and histological techniques have been used, morphometrical analysis has been carried out. The paravascular bed of the cardiac wall vessels begins to form from the vascular epicardial network and from the paraneural vessels in 5-month-old fetuses. The paravasal longitudinal tracts are the first to form (the venous ones preceed the arterial). During the seventh month the nutritive vessels and the intramural networks of the main cardiac arteries and veins develop. The formation of the paraarterial bed is connected with the vascular diameter and with thickness of the arterial walls. Certain regularities in development of the venous paravascular bed are defined. By the beginning of the 8th month there are all main components of the paravascular bed of the cardiac vessels.  相似文献

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to assess changes in blood glucose level, blood pressure, and arterial stiffness after a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) in elderly women aged over 65 years with hypertension and either normal glycemic control, impaired fasting glucose tolerance, or diabetes mellitus. We also wished to investigate the relationship between stages of diabetes and physical fitness.[Methods] A total of 24 elderly women with hypertension were assigned to a control group (CON; n=7), impaired fasting glucose group (IFG; n=9), and diabetes mellitus group (DM; n=8). In each group, blood glucose level, brachial ankle pulse wave velocity (PWV), and blood pressure were measured at baseline as well as 60 and 120 minutes after a 75 g OGTT. Physical fitness factors such as hand grip strength, balance test, 4 m gait speed test, chair stand test, short physical performance battery, and 6-minute walking test were subsequently assessed.[Results] In all three groups, blood glucose levels were significantly increased at 60 and 120 minutes after a 75 g OGTT. In the DM group, blood glucose levels were significantly higher before and after a 75 g OGTT than in the CON group. In the CON group, PWV was significantly increased at 60 minutes after a 75 g OGTT; however, there were no changes in other groups after glucose ingestion. In the CON group, systolic and diastolic blood pressures were significantly decreased at 60 and 120 minutes after a 75 g OGTT compared to baseline. However, there was no change in blood pressure after ingestion in the DM group. The IFG group had greater grip strength than the CON group; however, there were no differences in other variables between the groups.[Conclusion] After a 75 g OGTT, elderly women with hypertension and diabetes maintain higher blood glucose levels compared to those with hypertension alone. Unlike elderly women with hypertension alone, those with hypertension and diabetes did not show changes in arterial stiffness and blood pressure after a 75 g OGTT. Therefore, elderly women with hypertension and diabetes may not be able to control their blood vessels following a 75 g OGTT due to impaired vascular endothelial function. Moreover, there was no association between diabetes stage and physical fitness in elderly women with hypertension.  相似文献

By means of transmissive electron microscopy methods, general regularities in development of the microcirculatory system have been studied at early stages of the human prenatal ontogenesis in functionally different organs. Ultrastructure of two cell types has been described in the mesenchyme of human embryos. Formation mechanisms of the primary blood vessels belonging to the protocapillary type are revealed. Structural peculiarities of the primary protocapillary network differentiating into various links of the secondary organospecific hemomicrocirculatory bed are distinguished. Certain stageness in development of the microcirculatory system is stated, its blood circulatory compartment including. Two stages are determined in development of the microcirculatory system: prevascular and vascular microcirculation. The latter includes the precirculatory and circulatory phases.  相似文献

In acute experiments on cats, the gastric vascular bed being perfused under constant blood flow, the actions of gastric vessels was investigated using newly elaborated approach to their humoral isolation. Increased doses of noradrenaline elicited the dose-dependent constrictive response of gastric arterial vessels. Perfusion pressure increase in the gastric vascular bed under action of the minimal dose of noradrenaline was more pronounced, than in the intestinal vessels. The capacity of the gastric vascular bed under action of the drug changed in different manner, mostly increased, but could be decreased as well. In contrast to the small intestine the gastric vessels are characterized by more pronounced action of noradrenaline on blood depoting processes.  相似文献

Vasoactive exposures, vascular events, and hemifacial microsomia   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9  
BACKGROUND: Based on experimental evidence and clinical observations, hemifacial microsomia (HFM) is one of several structural anomalies that are postulated to result from vascular disruption. We collected data in a case-control study to identify whether vasoactive exposures or vascular events during early pregnancy affect the risk of HFM. METHODS: Cases with a diagnosis of HFM were identified at craniofacial centers in 26 cities across the United States and Canada, from 1996 to 2002. Controls were matched to cases by age and pediatrician practice. Mothers of 230 cases and 678 controls were interviewed about pregnancy events and exposures. Case and control mothers were compared for early pregnancy use of vasoactive medications, cigarettes, and alcohol; singleton or multiple gestation; and diabetes, hypertension, or vaginal bleeding in the first half of pregnancy. RESULTS: Odds ratios (ORs) were significantly increased for vasoactive mediation use (OR, 1.9 overall; OR, 4.2 among smokers), multiple gestations (OR, 10.5), and diabetes (OR, 6.0). Vaginal bleeding in the second trimester and heavy alcohol intake were associated with increased risks, but the estimates were based on small numbers and, therefore, are unstable. No associations were observed for cigarette smoking without vasoactive medication use, hypertension, and vaginal bleeding in the first trimester. CONCLUSIONS: The increased risks of HFM associated with vasoactive medication use, multiple gestations, diabetes, and second trimester vaginal bleeding appear collectively to support the hypothesis that vascular disruption is one etiology for HFM, because each of these factors is related to effects on blood vessels.  相似文献

The investigation has been performed in 118 serial sections of human embryos. The development of vascular bed in ganglia of the respiratory tube at early embryogenesis has been studied. The main attention has been paid to the formation of periganglial vascular bed. Loop-like and arc-shaped connections between the developing vessels and galglia and rearrangement of periganglial vascular bed during embryogenesis are described. Three stages in the development of blood supply to the ganglia of the respiratory tube are noted: I stage--avascular (embryos are 17-30 mm long); II stage--formation of periganglial vascular bed (embryos are 33-50 mm long); III stage--formation of intraganglial vascular bed (embryos are 55 mm long and more). Within I and II stages, reorganization phases in the vascular bed are described. A suggestion is made that the vascular factor of the development and differentiation of ganglial elements starts acting since the formation of periganglial vascular bed; before this, the mesenchima surrounding the neuronal plexus performs their trophic.  相似文献

Placenta tissue may be a major source of lipid peroxidation products in pregnancy. It was proven that placental peroxidation activity increases with gestation. Selenium (Se), as an essential constituent of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), takes part in the reduction of hydrogen peroxides and lipid peroxides. Malondialdehyde (MDA) is a major breakdown product split off from lipid peroxides. In this study, Se and MDA content and GSH-Px activity were measured in blood and plasma taken from 20 apparently healthy nonpregnant women between 19 and 38 yr of age and from 115 unselected pregnant women between 17 and 45 yr of age (35 in the first trimester, 22 in the second trimester, 38 in the third trimester, and 20 within 2 d of delivery). Samples of umbilical cord blood and amniotic fluid were taken from women in the second and third trimesters and at delivery. The Se content was measured by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), plasma MDA concentration by thiobarbituric acid reaction, and Se-dependent GSH-Px spectrometrically. Blood and plasma Se contents of nonpregnant women were below those considered adequate, indicating low selenium intake. In comparison to nonpregnant women, pregnant women had significantly decreased whole-blood and plasma Se levels in the second and third trimesters and at delivery. The significant drop of whole-blood SeGSH-Px activity was observed in the first trimester of pregnancy and its lower activity was maintained until delivery. A significant drop in plasma SeGSH-Px activity occurred in the second trimester and attained the minimal level at delivery. The Se level and SeGSH-Px activity in maternal and umbilical cord blood were at similar levels. Amniotic-fluid SeGSH-Px activity was nondetectable or exceptionally low and its Se content remained unchanged during pregnancy. Plasma levels of MDA were significantly decreased in the second and third trimesters and at delivery. The fetal blood plasma at birth had a lower MDA level compared to the levels of MDA of their mothers at delivery. A low, but significant inverse correlation existed between blood SeGSH-Px activity and plasma MDA content and between plasma Se and plasma MDA contents during pregnancy. A significant decrease of Se and SeGSH-Px activities (antioxidant enzyme) in both blood and plasma suggests a possible drop in total antioxidant status during pregnancy. Elevated MDA plasma levels might be the result of increased lipid peroxidation in placental tissue during pregnancy.  相似文献

Morphological changes of all links of the terminal vascular bed during acute hypoxic hypoxia were studied in experiment and in postmortem material. A complex of methods was used including microdissection, injection with India ink - gelatin, clearing, silver nitrate impregnation after V. V. Kuprijanov, staining after Van Gieson and with hematoxylin-eosin, biomicroscopy and reoencephalography. Signs of desorganization of the vascular bed were revealed which manifested themselves as changes in microangioarchitectonics and diameters of vascular lumens, increased permiability of their walls with saturation of them with white and escape of its forming elements of the blood outside the limits of the vessels, as well as in destruction of the aggregate state of the blood. It considerably enlarges our knowledge of the state and changes in the vascular bed during hypoxic hypoxia.  相似文献

In human milk we previously found catalytic antibodies (abzymes) catalyzing hydrolysis of DNA, RNA, NMP, NDP, and NTP and also phosphorylation of proteins and lipids. In the present study we have analyzed nuclease activities of antibodies in blood of women during pregnancy and lactation. Blood of healthy male and female volunteers lacked catalytically active antibodies, whereas antibodies from blood of pregnant women hydrolyzed DNA and RNA and their relative activity varied over a wide range. Relative blood abzyme activities significantly increased after delivery and at the beginning of lactation. The highest abzyme activity was observed in blood of parturient women. Although the dynamics of changes in antibody DNase activity during pregnancy was rather individual for each woman, there was a common trend in the increase in antibody activity in the first and/or third trimester of the pregnancy. The DNase activity of IgG and IgM from blood of healthy pregnant women was 4-5 times less than that from pregnant women with pronounced autoimmune thyroiditis.  相似文献

The authors propose a complex mathematical method for analysis of the microcirculatory link of the vascular bed of muscles and muscular organs. On the basis of the data of the amount and diameters of the vessels the method permits calculating the following parameters according to the proposed pattern of the table-report and formulas: 1. the square surface of the cross-section of the vascular bed; 2. the square surface of the exchange or contact with the tissue surface of the vascular bed; 3. the density of the vascular network in percentage; 4. the blood volume in the vascular bed in volumetric units and average data; 5. the blood volume in one vessel on the average; 6. the volume of the tissue fed by one vessel; 7. the volume of blood per a unit of the surface of the vascular wall.  相似文献

Lead is a toxic element. It can damage multiple human organs and systems. In present study, we detected the blood lead levels (BLLs) during the whole pregnancy period and 6-12th weeks after delivery and analyzed their influencing factors by healthy pregnant women. We recruited 128 healthy pregnant women absent of pregnancy or obstetric complications or abnormal pregnancy outcomes as the gravida group. The control group consisted of 120 healthy non-pregnant women. The lead concentrations of all the three pregnancy trimesters and postpartum were: 5.95?±?2.27, 5.51?±?1.93, 5.57?±?1.85, and 6.88?±?1.90?μg/dl; and the mean lead concentration of control group was 6.87?±?2.29?μg/dl. We found that the BLLs of the gravida group were lower than that of control group during all three trimesters and occupations, supplement nutrition elements, and time of house painted could affect blood lead levels of pregnant women. Lead-related occupations, using cosmetics, and living in a house painted <1?year are risk factors of high BLLs among pregnant women, while calcium, iron, zinc, and milk supplements are protective factors. These may help people especially pregnant women to reduce lead exposure via supplement of calcium, iron, zinc, and milk or avoiding contacting above risk factors.  相似文献

Background

Meteorin (METRN) is a recently described neutrophic factor with angiogenic properties. This is a nested case-control study in a longitudinal cohort study that describes the serum profile of METRN during different periods of gestation in healthy and preeclamptic pregnant women. Moreover, we explore the possible application of METRN as a biomarker.

Methods and Findings

Serum METRN was measured by ELISA in a longitudinal prospective cohort study in 37 healthy pregnant women, 16 mild preeclamptic women, and 20 healthy non-pregnant women during the menstrual cycle with the aim of assessing serum METRN levels and its correlations with other metabolic parameters. Immunostaining for METRN protein was performed in placenta. A multivariate logistic regression model was proposed and a classifier model was formulated for predicting preeclampsia in early and middle pregnancy. The performance in classification was evaluated using measures such as sensitivity, specificity, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. In healthy pregnant women, serum METRN levels were significantly elevated in early pregnancy compared to middle and late pregnancy. METRN levels are significantly lower only in early pregnancy in preeclamptic women when compared to healthy pregnant women. Decision trees that did not include METRN levels in the first trimester had a reduced sensitivity of 56% in the detection of preeclamptic women, compared to a sensitivity of 69% when METRN was included.

Conclusions

The joint measurements of circulating METRN levels in the first trimester and systolic blood pressure and weight in the second trimester significantly increase the probabilities of predicting preeclampsia.  相似文献

Cold pressor test (CPT) has been known to increase vascular resistance through adrenergic stimulation. To assess the effect of prolonged bed rest (BR) on sympathetic neural control, blood flow velocity of the proper palmar digital artery (resistance vessel) was measured in 10 healthy volunteers during a 90 seconds CPT by pulsed Doppler ultrasound using a 7.5 MHz linear transducer before and after 20 days BR. Blood flow velocity in the proper palmar digital artery decreased during the first half of the CPT both before and after BR, but decreases in peak flow velocity became less prominent (p<0.05) after BR (-48+/-20%) than before bed rest (-61+/-25%). The only subject whose lower body negative pressure tolerance time was prolonged after BR showed prominent decreases in peak flow velocity during the first half of the CPT after BR. Peak flow velocity returned to the pre-test value during the latter half of the CPT in 7 subjects before BR, but in only 2 subjects after BR (p<0.05). Thus, 20 days BR impairs the response of the small digital arteries to CPT, suggesting that a decrease in a adrenergic stimulation occurs after prolonged BR.  相似文献
