The fauna and communities of Collembola in Eastern European broad-leaf forests are analyzed. A list of species and dominants, the local diversity and abundance, the range of life forms, and vertical distribution are described. Special attention is paid to the problems of dynamics and representativeness of ecological samplings. The population density of springtails is relatively low in broad-leaf forests; the local species richness is similar to that in coniferous forests and averages 25–30 species. In spite of some differences, the springtail populations of broad-leaf and coniferous forests can be assigned to the same type of community, namely that of Eastern European forests.  相似文献

The influence of recreational load on soil-dwelling springtails was studied in coniferous and deciduous forests of the Republic of Mordovia at different succession stages. Groups of springtail species with sensitive and tolerant responses to trampling are distinguished. Degradation of the springtail community due to recreational load was shown to proceed differently in pioneer and climax ecosystems.  相似文献

A total of 92 springtail species were revealed in forest-steppe areas of the Privolzhskaya Lesostep nature reserve. The considerable part of the species (25–40%) are inhabitants of steppe and open sites with the predominance of soil forms. The specific features of the chernozem soil fauna are determined by the rare species occupying deep soil layers. In different forest-steppe biotopes, the springtail communities are similar in the species composition but differ in the structure. Steppe and forest types of communities were distinguished. When the steppe is forested, the most drastic changes in the collembolan population are revealed in the transitional shrub zone. The marginal community is characterized by the most even structure and a variable set of dominants.  相似文献

The population of earthworms has been studied in the main types of old-growth dark coniferous forests of Pechora-Ilych Nature Reserve (Komi Republic) that have not been subject to anthropogeniс impact for a long time. Ten species of earthworms have been identified. The greatest diversity (7 species), abundance, and biomass of earthworms has been revealed in the tall-grass fir–spruce forests. P. diplotetratheca had the greatest abundance. E. nordenskioldi nordenskioldi and E. atlavinyteae had the greatest biomass. The lowest species diversity (3 species), abundance, and biomass of earthworms have been found in the largefern, blueberry–green moss, and sphagnum–horsetail fir–spruce forests. The role of deadwood in maintaining the species diversity of Lumbricidae in dark coniferous forests has been demonstrated. The complexes of Lumbricidae have been considered in anthropogenically disturbed territories, where the following species with a habitat range to the south of the northern and middle taiga have been identified: L. rubellus, A. rosea, A. caliginosa caliginosa, and E. fetida.  相似文献

Lichens are a key component of forest biodiversity. However, a comprehensive study analyzing lichen species richness in relation to several management types, extending over different regions and forest stages and including information on site conditions is missing for temperate European forests. In three German regions (Schwäbische Alb, Hainich-Dün, Schorfheide-Chorin), the so-called Biodiversity Exploratories, we studied lichen species richness in 631 forest plots of 400 m2 comprising different management types (unmanaged, selection cutting, deciduous and coniferous age-class forests resulting from clear cutting or shelterwood logging), various stand ages, and site conditions, typical for large parts of temperate Europe. We analyzed how lichen species richness responds to management and habitat variables (standing biomass, cover of deadwood, cover of rocks). We found strong regional differences with highest lichen species richness in the Schwäbische Alb, probably driven by regional differences in former air pollution, and in precipitation and habitat variables. Overall, unmanaged forests harbored 22% more threatened lichen species than managed age-class forests. In general, total, corticolous, and threatened lichen species richness did not differ among management types of deciduous forests. However, in the Schwäbische-Alb region, deciduous forests had 61% more lichen species than coniferous forests and they had 279% more threatened and 76% more corticolous lichen species. Old deciduous age classes were richer in corticolous lichen species than young ones, while old coniferous age-classes were poorer than young ones. Overall, our findings highlight the importance of stand continuity for conservation. To increase total and threatened lichen species richness we suggest (1) conserving unmanaged forests, (2) promoting silvicultural methods assuring stand continuity, (3) conserving old trees in managed forests, (4) promoting stands of native deciduous tree species instead of coniferous plantations, and (5) increasing the amount of deadwood in forests.  相似文献

Data on the condition of Picea genus (spruce) representatives in an urban environment have been analyzed. The viability under different environmental conditions and stand types is evaluated. The relative viability of forest stands is evaluated. Morphogenic traits of conifers are examined for the annual increment development. The photosynthetic pigments dynamics is tracked for two coniferous plants across various forest types, including park forests, roadside hedgerows, and plantings in the residential area. The specific responses of pigment system to the urban environment have been revealed for the two coniferous plant species. We have found an increased concentration of carotinoids and higher resilience of blue spruce (Picea pungens Engelm.) in an urban environment.  相似文献

The Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve (CNR) was established in 1960 to protect the virgin Korean pine mixed hardwood forest, a typical temperate forest of northeast China. We conducted systematic studies of vascular diversity patterns on the north slope of the CNR mountainside forests (800–1700 m a.s.l.) in 1963 and 2006 respectively. The aim of this comparison is to assess the long-term effects of the protection on plant biodiversity of CNR during the interval 43 years. The research was carried out in three types of forests: mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest (MCBF), mixed coniferous forest (MCF), and sub-alpine coniferous forest (SCF), characterized by different dominant species. The alpha diversity indicted by species richness and the Shannon-Wiener index were found different in the same elevations and forest types during the 43-year interval. The floral composition and the diversity of vascular species were generally similar along altitudinal gradients before and after the 43-year interval, but some substantial changes were evident with the altitude gradient. In the tree layers, the dominant species in 2006 were similar to those of 1963, though diversity declined with altitude. The indices in the three forest types did not differ significantly between 1963 and 2006, and these values even increased in the MCBF and MCF from 1963 to 2006. However, originally dominant species, P. koraiensis for example, tended to decline, while the proportion of broad-leaved trees increased, and the species turnover in the succession layers trended to shift to higher altitudes. The diversity pattern of the under canopy fluctuated along the altitudinal gradient due to micro-environmental variations. Comparison of the alpha diversity in the three forests shows that the diversity of the shrub and herb layer decreased with time. During the process of survey, we also found some rare and medicinal species disappeared. Analysis indicates that the changes of the diversity pattern in this region are caused by both nature and human factors. Meteorological records revealed that climate has changed significantly in the past 43 years. We also found the most severe human disturbance to the CNR forests in the process of another field survey that is the exploitation of herb medicines and Korean pine nuts. We hope this research would give some guidance to the future reserve management in Changbai Mountain area.  相似文献

We investigated post-photosynthetic fractionation and carbon transfer mechanisms of different plant functional types growing under the same climatic conditions in North-eastern China. The variations in δ13C of trunk and branches were compared with leaf δ13C at different canopy heights of Pinus koraiensis (evergreen coniferous species), Larix gmelinii (deciduous coniferous species) and Quercus mongolica (deciduous broad-leaved species). Results showed that δ13C of leaves increased (became more enriched) with increasing canopy height for both coniferous species (P. koraiensis, L. gmelinii) but not for Q. mongolica (a deciduous broad-leaved species). δ13C of both trunk and branches also increased with sampling height for the evergreen conifer P. koraiensis but did not significantly vary for either of the deciduous species (L. gmelinii or Q. mongolica), except a significant increase in branch δ13C for L. gmelinii. Similarly, δ13C of trunk and branches were strongly correlated with leaf δ13C only in the evergreen conifer, P. koraiensis. 13C was consistently more enriched in trunk, branches, and roots compared to leaves in all three species. Our findings suggest that, even under the same climatic conditions, different plant functional types may exhibit different carbon transfer mechanisms. This is contrary to the previous hypothesis that different carbon transfer mechanisms operate in forests of different climatic zones, especially in tropical and temperate forests. Particularly, the differences occur predominantly between evergreen and deciduous trees rather than between coniferous and broad-leaved trees. The significant difference in δ13C between leaves and wood tissues confirms a previous post-photosynthetic isotope fractionation in temperate forests.  相似文献

基于9个20 m×30 m森林群落样地的调查数据,采用物种丰富度、α和β多样性指数,对辽东山地古石河冰缘地貌不同林型石生、树生苔藓植物物种多样性进行定量研究,采用皮尔逊相关分析方法对其影响因素进行分析。结果显示,古石河冰缘地貌苔藓植物共有26科46属59种;不同林型石生、树生苔藓植物物种丰富度和α多样性指数均为:暗针叶林针阔混交林落叶阔叶林;石生苔藓植物β多样性指数最高为落叶阔叶林-针阔混交林间(0.44),最低为落叶阔叶林-暗针叶林间(0.33);树生苔藓植物β多样性指数最高为针阔混交林-暗针叶林间(0.40),最低为落叶阔叶林-暗针叶林间(0.25);分析表明,林冠层郁闭度、海拔高度是影响辽东山地古石河冰缘地貌森林生态系统苔藓物种多样性的重要因子。  相似文献

A survey of springtails was conducted in 1984 on Volcano Usu which suffered damage to it's ecosystem from eruptions in 1977 and 1978. The summit area, almost completely deforested by the eruptions, was still inhabited by many forest species such asDesoria notabilis, Willowsia sp. 2,Pseudachorutes sp. 2,Isotoma sp. 4,Tullbergia yosii, Onychiurus sp. 1,Entomobrya sp. 2,Isotomiella minor, Proisotoma sp. 2,Xenylla sp.,Neanura frigida, etc. These species preferred standing or fallen dead trees, mosses, bark chips, former topsoils and soil around the root of plants. The fauna in the summit area was most similar to that of coniferous or broad-leaved forests surveyed on the foot of the mountain. This suggests that the 1977–78 eruptions did not exterminate these springtail species which probably survived on the standing trees or in the former topsoil.  相似文献

In the plain taiga of the Pechoro-Ilychskii Nature Reserve, 91 species of gamasid mites have been revealed. Cheiroseius (7 species), Veigaia (6), Arctoseius (5), Dendrolaelaps (5), and Dinychus (4) are the most diverse genera. European (29%), Palaearctic (27%), and Holarctic species (30%) are represented in the fauna by somewhat equal fractions, whereas cosmopolitan and semicosmopolitan species constitute about 14%. Comparison of gamasid assemblages populating certain habitats allowed revealing two distinct groupings, namely, forest and floodplain ones. Forest assemblages are characterized by high population density (220–760 ind./dm2) and by predominance of Parazercon radiatus, Zercon forsslundi, Veigaia nemorensis, Gamasellus montanus, and Trachytes spp. Floodplain assemblages are less abundant (80–130 ind./dm2) and comprise mainly meadow and hydrophilic species (A. cetratus, Cheiroseius spp. Gaeolaelaps spp., and Gamasellodes bicolor). Low diversity of the family Parasitidae (4 species) and structural peculiarities of assemblages dwelling in coniferous forests (namely, the absence of Pergamasinae and significant fractions of Veigaia, Gamesellus, Trachytes, and also of representatives of the family Zerconidae) demonstrate similarities between the mesostigmatan population of this northern European region and that of the Siberian taiga. Solitary records of such Arctic species as Arctoseius ornatus and Zerconopsis labradorensis, and of the hypoarcto-montane species Iphidinychus gaieri within the taiga belt, seem to reflect the instability of range margin. Taking into account the literary data, we recognize a complex of boreal and borealmountain species (Trachytes edleri, Dinychus septentrionalis. D. crassus, Caurozercon duplex, Neozercon smirnovi, Zercon forsslundi, and Z. zelawaiensis) in the Palaearctic fauna. Their habitats, however, are not restricted only to dark coniferous forest along. The structure of gamasid mite assemblages in mesophytic spruce forests of the Palaearctic varies strongly. By contrast to vascular plants, where many species accompany the dark coniferous taiga everywhere, there is not a single mesostigmatic mite species common to all the spruce forests analyzed, ranging from Romania in the west to Sakhalin Island in the east. On the whole, changes in gamasid mite assemblages across the spruce forest belt seem to follow a succession of meridional changes in gamasid faunas regardless of an edificatory spruce species.  相似文献

The composition and structure of mouse-like rodent communities in altitudinal belts of the Kuznetsk Alatau Mountains are studied, and their comparative characterization is made. It is shown that the complex altitudinal-zonal differentiation of the mountain range leads to the formation of several types of mouse-like rodent communities: forest-steppe, dark coniferous-taiga, chern forests, and mountain tundra. The communities differ in species composition, structure, and total number. The main factors influencing the spatial distribution of species and their number are hydrothermal conditions, vegetation type, and anthropogenic transformation of the territory.  相似文献

以平武县地形图、植被图、野外植被调查结果为数据源制作研究区植被图和数字高程模型(Digital Elevation Model,DEM),在Arcview GIS平台下通过植被分类和图层叠加分析法,研究了人为干扰后植被的组成及植被类型在主要地形梯度上的分布特征。结果表明:(1)受人为干扰特别是森林采伐活动影响,研究区针阔混交林消失,针叶林面积缩小,阔叶林和灌丛面积增加。(2)植被类型在海拔梯度上分布规律性明显;除农田外,其它植被类型在坡度上的面积比例与研究区面积在各坡度段所占比例很相似;针叶林、阔叶林、农田、灌丛对坡向有明显选择性。(3)人为干扰活动改变了研究区植被类型及其面积比重,并使植被在海拔段上的分布带有明显人类干扰的痕迹。  相似文献

Forestry is obliged to record as well as maintain and/or enhance biological diversity in forests due to national and international agreements. Accordingly, it is necessary to work out methodological approaches for the assessment of biodiversity in forests. In the study presented here, we focus on the total plant species pool (563 vascular plant and bryophyte species) of pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) forests in NE Germany to identify indicators for plant species richness. We distinguished several groups like “herb”, “grass-like”, “woody”, “endangered”, and “exotic species”, for which we detected indicators for low (class #1), intermediate (class #2), and high (class #3) species numbers. From a total of 84 species, which were identified by a three-step procedure, most indicators were found for class #3. Only few indicators have been revealed for intermediate species numbers, i.e. class #2. With help of Ellenberg’s ecological indicator values and information on the main occurrence in Central European vegetation types and plant communities, respectively, we characterized the indicator species ecologically. The ecological site preferences of the indicator species in general reflect the fact that species richness is highest in base-rich, light, and anthropogenically disturbed pine forests. On the contrary, species-poor forests were revealed by indicators, which mainly occur on acidic sites. It is concluded that a considerable set of indicators for species richness can help facilitate biodiversity assessments in forestry and ecosystem restoration practice. 植物干重热值(GCV)是衡量植物生命活动及组成成分的重要指标之一,反映了植物光合作用中固定太阳辐射的能力。利用氧弹量热仪测定了亚热带和暖温带两个典型森林生态系统常见的276种常见植物叶片的干重热值,探讨了亚热带和暖温带植物热值分布特征,以及不同生活型、乔木类型间植物热值的变化规律。实验结果发现:亚热带常绿阔叶林和暖温带落叶阔叶林叶片热值的平均值分别为17.83 k J/g(n=191)和17.21k J/g(n=85),整体表现为亚热带植物暖温带植物。不同地带性植被的植物叶片热值在不同生活型间表现出相似的规律,其中亚热带常绿阔叶林表现为:乔木(19.09 k J/g)灌木(17.87 k J/g)草本(16.65 k J/g);暖温带落叶阔叶林表现为:乔木(18.41 k J/g)灌木(17.94 k J/g)草本(16.53 k J/g);不同乔木类型间均呈现常绿乔木落叶乔木、针叶乔木阔叶乔木的趋势。落叶阔叶乔木表现为亚热带暖温带,而常绿针叶乔木则呈现亚热带暖温带的趋势。此外,我们对于两个分布区域内的4种针叶树种叶片热值进行了比较,发现华北落叶松(19.32 k J/g,暖温带)杉木(19.40 k J/g,亚热带)马尾松(19.82 k J/g,亚热带)油松(20.95 k J/g,暖温带)。亚热带常绿阔叶林和暖温带落叶阔叶林植物热值的特征及其变化规律,为森林生态系统的能量流动提供了理论基础。  相似文献

运用无偏对应分析(DCA)、群落本质多样性排序和方差分析的方法,研究了东北过伐林区吉林省汪清林业局境内的四种森林类型——针阔混交林、阔叶混交林、柞木林和长白落叶松人工林的林分层次的植物物种多样性间的差异。从4种类型下层植被多样性指数的比较结果来看,针阔混交林最高,阔叶混交林和落叶松人工林次之,柞木林最低。最后提出了部分经营建议。  相似文献

As planted forests expand in area, they are beginning to dominate landscapes as a matrix and cause the fragmentation of remaining natural forests. To understand and predict the responses of biological assemblages to maturing planted landscapes, examining the effects of forest type (natural vs planted) and forest age on such assemblages is particularly important. Therefore, to document the effects of forest type and age on longhorned beetle assemblages, in 2008 we collected beetles in broad‐leaved natural and cedar planted forests where beetles had also been collected in 1989. Beetle species composition differed greatly between the two forest types in 1989, whereas this difference was less pronounced in 2008. Species richness and total abundance were higher in natural forests than in planted forests in 1989. In 2008, species richness had decreased in both forest types, but the difference between the two forest types had been maintained. Total abundance was also markedly lower in 2008, and the difference between forest types was much smaller. Although larval host plants were not associated with the responses of species to year (forest age or maturation), beetle species whose larvae fed on either broad‐leaved or coniferous trees (or both) exhibited slight preferences for natural forests. These results suggest that longhorned beetle assemblages become impoverished in planted landscapes as the planted matrix matures. Changes in species composition with forest maturation may be difficult to predict based on larval host plants. However, consideration of larval host plants may enable the prediction of changes in species composition caused by the replacement of natural forests by planted forests.  相似文献

This study was carried out for the purpose of detecting the relationship between soil-inhabiting tardigrade communities and environmental factors of various forests. Nine forests in the southern part of Kanagawa Prefecture, Central Japan, were selected for this study. Four vegetation types were designated; broadleaved (evergreen/deciduous), coniferous and orchard. In these sites, dry weight of leaf litter, soil pH, soil hardness, soil moisture content and porosity ratio were measured. Wet soil faunal frequencies were also described. The Baermann funnel method was adopted for collecting tardigrades, and DIC microscopy was used for specific identification. To clarify the correlation between environmental variables and tardigrade faunae, multivariate analysis was applied. The tardigrade fauna occurred as two distinct groups. The first group primarily contained Macrobiotus species. The second group contained the genus Diphascon (e.g. D. nobilei, D. patanei, D. prorsirostre). An exception to this was D. pingue, included in the former. Most of the Diphascon species were concentrated in Nebu (coniferous forest site), while, Macrobiotus species were dominant in other sites. Distinct environmental factors could not be identified, but the nematodal frequency was recognized as the main factor in forming these groups. The uniqueness of Nebu, which does not correspond to large-scaled vegetational classification, was substantiated by statistical data. Nebu’s coniferous forest apparently has created a unique environment for sustaining rare species (Diphascon species). This study concluded that forests should be evaluated not only by the macroscopic factors, such as landscape, but also by the microscopic communities, such as those including the tardigrades.  相似文献

The Changbaishan Nature Reserve (CNR) is the largest protected temperate forest in the world.
