对十齿花的次生木质部和次生韧皮部结构进行了观察,并与卫矛科其它8属植物的木质部作子下齿花次生木质部和次生韧皮部的主要特点是;木质部导管分子相对较长,其末端倾斜,具梯状穿孔板,由14个横隔组成。纤维和纤维管胞均有横隔。韧皮部筛管分子相对较短,其端壁水平或略倾斜,具单筛板,缺少纤维。  相似文献

对东北雷公藤苇次生木质部结构及其与卫矛科其它属进行比较研究,为东北雷公藤生药鉴定提供了理论依据。结果表明:东北雷公藤茎次生木质部早晚材导管分子大小差异极大.为环孔材;导管分子穿孔板均为单穿孔板;异型Ⅱ-b射线;纤维管胞具螺纹增厚;具分隔木纤维。  相似文献

通过光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜详细观察了相似生境条件下生长的海桑属(Sonneratia)植物以及低、高潮位生长的海桑(S. caseolaris)和杯萼海桑(S. alba)次生木质部的形态特征,应用Lasersharp软件测量了其次生木质部的数量特征.结果表明:海桑属植物次生木质部形态特征的特化是与潮间带生境相适应的,能在水分胁迫的生境中,有效地协调水分输导的有效性和安全性.其特化结构主要包括:1)宽、窄导管并存,2)管孔密度较大,复孔率高,3)存在纤维状导管、形状不规则的导管和少量环管管胞,4)螺旋雕纹、附物纹孔、管壁具疣等许多导管壁的微观结构,有利于水分输导的安全性,5)射线细胞和分隔木纤维内的淀粉粒是渗透调节的物质基础,有利于促进水分上升,6)薄的纤维壁厚和宽的纤维腔径有利于水分的贮存,7)具胶质纤维.相似生境条件下生长的海桑属植物次生木质部数量特征的测量结果表明海桑和拟海桑水分输导效率高,但水分输导安全性差,而杯萼海桑水分输导效率低,但其输导安全性高.与高潮位生长的海桑和杯萼海桑相比,低潮位生长的海桑和杯萼海桑次生木质部导管分子更加"小型化"(有更小的导管分子长度、管孔弦向直径、管孔面积),有更高的导管聚合度和管孔密度,数量特征随生境不同的种内变动有利于海桑和杯萼海桑提高水分输导的安全性,但海桑和杯萼海桑输导安全性的获得是以牺牲水分输导的有效性为前提的.与生长在高潮位生境的海桑和杯萼海桑相比,低潮位生境生长的海桑和杯萼海桑的木材结构有更小的管孔面积,更厚的纤维壁,更低的导管比率和射线比率,更高的纤维比率,胶质纤维分布均匀且数量增加,这些特征有利于低潮位生境生长的海桑和杯萼海桑提高木材的韧性和强度,增强抗风浪冲击的能力.  相似文献

木质藤本是热带森林的重要组成部分,显著影响森林的结构和功能。已有研究发现木质藤本与乔木的水力结构存在显著差异:木质藤本的缠绕或攀缘茎细小,但其木质部具有粗大的长导管,输水效率高,抗栓塞能力低。为降低基因型差异对比较结果的影响,该研究选取热带崖豆藤属(Millettia)和买麻藤属(Gnetum)的乔木和木质藤本,比较同属内不同生长型植物的水力和光合性状的差异,分析水分传导效率与抗栓塞能力之间以及水力与光合性状之间的相关关系。结果发现:(1)崖豆藤属植物水力性状的种间差异大,与生活型和需光性有关。耐阴的木质藤本反而具有较低的水分传导效率和较高的抗栓塞能力。(2)买麻藤属植物是裸子植物较为进化的类群(具有导管和阔叶),其乔木的水分传导效率很低,但是其木质藤本的水分传导效率高于其他阳生性的被子植物。(3)不论乔木还是木质藤本,水分传导的有效性与安全性在枝条和叶片水平上均没有显著的权衡关系。(4)与同属乔木相比,木质藤本的叶片较枝条的抗栓塞能力更强,在旱季具有更高的最大净光合速率和气孔导度,支持了木质藤本的"旱季生长优势假说"。该研究揭示了热带木质藤本水力性状的多样性和重要性,为阐明环境变化对这一重要植物类群的影响,需要对它们的水力特征进行更广泛的研究。  相似文献

通过设置临时标准地对龙栖山、武夷山和天宝岩3个国家级自然保护区的3种毛竹混交林群落类型结构进行调查与统计分析.结果表明,在物种数量上从多到少依次为:武夷山国家级自然保护区的毛竹 少叶黄杞(Phyllostachys pubescences Mazel ex H. Delehaie Engelhardtia fenzelii Merr.)混交林(68科125属230种),龙栖山国家级自然保护区的毛竹 南方红豆杉[Taxus chinensis (Pilger) Rehd. var. mairei (Lemee et Lévl.) Cheng et L. K. Fu]混交林(69科135属194种)和天宝岩国家级自然保护区的毛竹 长苞铁杉(Tsuga longibracteata Cheng)混交林(41科71属105种).3个毛竹混交林群落结构分明,毛竹在混交林群落乔木层中占绝对优势的地位.乔木层、灌木层和草本层层次清晰,还具有层间层.毛竹 南方红豆杉群落和毛竹 长苞铁杉群落乔木层可分为3个亚层,而毛竹 少叶黄杞群落乔木层可分为2个亚层.毛竹 少叶黄杞群落的灌木层物种数和草本层盖度均比其他2个群落高.  相似文献

通过对海南霸王岭热带山地原始林与伐后林中树木及其攀附木质藤本的调查,研究原始林与伐后林中木质藤本对支持木的选择性。结果表明:1)6科优势树木中附藤率最高的是野牡丹科(Melastomataceae),附藤率最低的科,原始林中是山矾科(Symplocaceae),伐后林中是茜草科(Rubiaceae)。2)原始林中,谷木(Memecylon ligustrifolium)与线枝蒲桃(Syzygiumaraiocladum)的附藤比率和每木藤本数均高于样地平均水平;三角瓣花(Prismatomeris tetrandra)和龟背灰木(Symplocosandenophylla)的附藤比率均低于样地平均水平,而每木藤本数与样地平均水平之间没有显著差异。伐后林中,谷木的附藤比率和每木藤本数高于样地平均水平;九节(Psychotria rubra)的附藤比率和每木藤本数低于样地平均水平。3)杜仲藤(Parabariummicranthum)的主要支持木是谷木,夜花藤(Hypserpa nitida)的主要支持木是线枝蒲桃。研究表明,木质藤本对支持木在科和种水平上都具有选择性,因此木质藤本会对树木造成不对称影响,进而影响森林的结构和动态。  相似文献

利用光学显微镜和扫描电镜对山东产藤草属Scirpus L.(广义)11个类群的坚果果皮微形态进行了观察和研究,该属11种的微形态可以分为4个类型,即:Ⅰ波形网状纹饰,Ⅱ网瘤状复合纹饰,Ⅲ平滑型纹饰,Ⅳ横长网状纹饰.研究结果支持将藤草属Scirpus L.(广义)中藨草亚属Subgen.Scirpus的具球茎藨草组Sect.Bolboschoenus Ascheron、藨草组Sect.Scirpus和丝状刚毛藤草组Sect.Trichophorum (Pers.) Darl.分别提升为三棱草属Bolboschoenus( Ascheron) Palla和蔗草属Scirpus L.以及将藤草属Scirpus L.(广义)中秆苞蔗草亚属Subgen.lsolepis的湖边藨草组Sect.Schoenoplectus Reichb.和藨草组Sect.Actaeogeton Reichb提升为水葱属Schoenoplectus( Rchb.)Palla的处理意见.认为应在水葱属下设立湖边水葱组Sect.Schoenoplectus ( Reichb.)F.Z.Li & L.N Liu,藨草组Sect.Actaeogeton( Reichb.)F.Z Li & L.N.Liu,剑苞藤草组Sect.Ehrenbergii F.Z.Li & L.N.Liu.支持将青岛藤草Scirpus trisetosus Tang et Wang作为藤草Scirpus triqueter L.异名处理的意见.并对山东藨草属种类的学名进行了订证.  相似文献

Summary Xylem (wood) tissue in plants functions both for mechanical support and water transport. Since vines are mechanical parasites, they allocate less biomass for xylem tissue than do free-standing trees or shrubs. With-in the genus Bauhinia, stems of vine species were found to have not only less xylem per distal leaf area, but also less phloem and cortical tissue when compared to tree and shrub species. The phloem and cortical reductions are interpreted as an indirect effect of the developmental/geometric constraints imposed by the evolution of a reduced mechanical system. Apparently vines overcame these constraints with the evolution of wider vessels and wider sieve tubes and with many types of variant (anomalous) secondary growth. The long and wide vessels of vines, which compensate hydraulically for the reduced xylem areas, may help limit the distribution of vine species in nature.  相似文献

The anatomy of secondary xylem and secondary phloem in Dipentodon sinicus Dunn a precious and protected plant in China was studied, and compared with the wood anatomy of 8 other genera in Celastraceae. The main characteristics of this genus were described as follows: vessel members length were relatively long with scalariform perforations in oblique end walls, which were formed by 14 (9--28) bars. Intervessel pits possessed scalariform pattern. Libriform fibres and tracheid-fibres were septate. The sieve tube elements of the secondary phloem were relatively shorter, with simple sieve plates in the slightly inclined to almost horizontal end walls. There was no obvious boundary between the functional and non-functional phloem. In the Baileyan sense, the secondary xylem possessed a lower level of specialization, and displayed an obviously primitive and conservative character. In contrast, the secondary phloem possessed a higher level of specialization and displayed advanced characters. Therefore, the phylogenetic evolution between xylem and phloem was not synchronous in this genus. The result provided a novel pattern in the development of xylem and phloem structure which has not been noticed before.  相似文献

Competitive effects of vines on their tree hosts are well documented, but the mechanisms involved in these interactions are poorly understood. The objectives of this study were to measure the effects of below- and/or aboveground competition from the vines Lonicera japonica and Parthenocissus quinquefolia on availability of light, water, and nitrogen to the host tree Liquidambar styraciflua, and to examine the relationship between resource availability and tree growth. Light penetration through tree canopies, pre-dawn leaf water potential, and leaf nitrogen concentration were used as predictors of light, water, and nitrogen availability to the tree, respectively. Vine presence significantly reduced light penetration through the tree canopies, but this reduction was not clearly related to the growth responses of trees. Vines did not reduce the pre-dawn leaf water potential of competing trees, which was consistently above -0.5 MPa for the duration of the study. Leaf nitrogen concentration of trees, on the other hand, was significantly reduced by belowground competition with L. japonica. The positive correlation between the annual average leaf nitrogen concentration and tree diameter growth suggested that competition for nitrogen mediated the effects of belowground competition of vines on tree growth.  相似文献

In this review, we attempted to summarize the effect of gravity on growth of woody plants, broad leaved trees, on earth. It is well known that in tilted broad leaved trees, tension wood formed in the secondary xylem causes negative gravitropism. Gibberellin has been shown to induce tension wood in weeping branch, causing its upright growth. Recent study has shown that seedling of Japanese cherry tree grown on three dimensional clinostat, a device that simulates microgravity, grew at random angles, and that the formation of secondary xylem, as supporting tissue for upright growth, decreased. In the decreased xylem formation, the inhibition of the differentiation and development of fiber cell was clearly observed. These results suggest that in attitude control and morphogenesis of stem in woody plant, secondary xylem formation seriously relates to gravity on earth. In woody plant, the mechanism of gravity perception and the following signal transduction have not yet been elucidated, although the recent study reported the possibility that endodermal starch sheath cells and plant hormones may play some role in the mechanism. Space experiment for woody plant is expected to study these problem.  相似文献

Question: Are vines light‐demanding species? Location: Temperate evergreen rain forest of southern Chile (40°39′S, 72°11′W). Methods: In 45 plots of 25 m2 distributed in treefall canopy gaps, secondary forest stands and old‐growth forest (15 plots per light environment), all climbing and non‐supported vines were counted and identified to species level, and canopy openness was quantified using hemispherical photographs. Vine abundance and diversity (species richness and Simpson's index) were compared in the three light environments and similarity between vine communities was estimated using Jaccard's similarity coefficient. We also determined the relationship between light niche breadth and local dominance at the species level. Results: In total there were 2510 vine individuals of 14 species. Canopy openness was significantly different in the three light environments. Species richness, diversity, community composition and density of vines were similar in treefall gaps, secondary and old‐growth forest. Of the seven more common vine species, which accounted for 91% of all vines, three had even distribution, two were more abundant in the shaded understorey, and two had higher density in well‐lit sites. Local dominance of vine species and niche breadth were not significantly associated. Conclusions: Our study in a temperate rain forest questions the widespread notion of vines as pioneer‐like species, which may be a consequence of the abundance of some lianas in disturbed sites of tropical forests. Functional arguments are needed to justify a general hypothesis on light requirements of vines, which constitute a vast group of species.  相似文献

This 2-year field study examined stomatal conductance, photosynthesis, and biomass allocation of Liquidambar styraciflua saplings in response to below- and aboveground competition with the vines Lonicera japonica and Parthenocissus quinquefolia. Vine competition did not affect stomatal conductance of the host trees. The leaf photosynthetic capacity and photosynthetic nitrogen-use efficiency were significantly reduced by root competition with vines, either singly or in combination with aboveground competition, early in the second growing season. However, such differences disappeared by the end of the second growing season. Trees competing below ground with vines also had lower allocation to leaves compared with steins. Aboveground competition with vines resulted in reduced photosynthetic capacity per unit leaf area, but not per unit leaf weight, in trees. No correlation was found between single leaf photosynthetic capacity and tree growth. In contrast, a high positive correlation existed between allocation to leaves and diameter growth. Results from this study suggest that allocation patterns are more affected than leaf photosynthesis in trees competing with vines.  相似文献

The three-dimensional construction of stem xylem in tropical lianas (woody vines) was studied using several approaches: 1. observations of the xylem surface in stems with bark removed after NaOH treatment or natural retting; 2. reconstructions from serial transverse sections; 3. movement of dye solutions up isolated xylem sectors in intact plants, and 4. flow of dye solutions down branches and xylem sectors in isolated stem segments. Long distance (up to several metres) xylem pathways in unbranched stems and connections between lateral branches and main stems are described for !5 species in eight families which represented seven differnt patterns of secondary growth. The xylem in even the most complex stems is integrated by three-dimensional interconnections of xylem regions which may appear isolated in transverse section. Interconnections are most common at leaf and branch nodes. Some old stems have peripheral xylem that remains isolated over long distances in unbranched stems, but even these had structural and physiological interconnections between xylem regions at branch nodes.  相似文献

Maximum vessel diameters were examined in the secondary xylem of stems of Gnetum of various sizes. One tree (G. gnemon) and 13 liana species were compared. In three species, vessel length distributions were determined by the latex paint method, and showed many short and fewer long vessels. Latex and compressed air methods, used to find the maximum vessel lengths, showed that maximum vessel lengths were similar for three species of Gnetum. In old stems, mean and maximum vessel diameters tended to be greater in lianas than in the tree species. The skewed distribution of vessel lengths and the trend of wider vessels in lianas as compared to trees were similar to those distributions and trends described previously for angiosperms. In random samples of macerated wood of three species, simple perforation plates were most common in vessel members of all species. Foraminate and modified foraminate perforations were less frequent. Average diameter of vessel members with either foraminate or modified foraminate perforations was less than for those with simple perforations. The resemblance of Gnetum vessels to those of angiosperm trees and vines is most likely a case of convergent evolution (homoplasy) in xylem characteristics.  相似文献

Faster growth in tropical trees is usually associated with higher mortality rates, but the mechanisms underlying this relationship are poorly understood. In this study, we investigate how tree growth patterns are linked with environmental conditions and hydraulic traits, by monitoring the cambial growth of 9 tropical cloud forest tree species coupled with numerical simulations using an optimization model. We find that fast‐growing trees have lower xylem safety margins than slow‐growing trees and this pattern is not necessarily linked to differences in stomatal behaviour or environmental conditions when growth occurs. Instead, fast‐growing trees have xylem vessels that are more vulnerable to cavitation and lower density wood. We propose the growth ‐ xylem vulnerability trade‐off represents a wood hydraulic economics spectrum similar to the classic leaf economic spectrum, and show through numerical simulations that this trade‐off can emerge from the coordination between growth rates, wood density, and xylem vulnerability to cavitation. Our results suggest that vulnerability to hydraulic failure might be related with the growth‐mortality trade‐off in tropical trees, determining important life history differences. These findings are important in furthering our understanding of xylem hydraulic functioning and its implications on plant carbon economy.  相似文献

油松茎的次生结构中树脂道存在于次生维管组织中。其中,次生木质部内具有水平的和垂直的两类树脂道,而次生韧皮部内则仅有水平的树脂道。两类树脂道都由上皮细胞和鞘细胞包围着胞间道构成,其中木质部内的树脂道具有死鞘细胞,而韧皮部中的则都系生活细胞。在心材中,垂直树脂道形成拟侵填体。在次生木质部内,垂直树脂道常分布于早材的外部区域和最初形成的晚材中,它们与水平树脂道连接,腔道贯通,从而形成二维网状结构。垂直树脂道来源于纺锤状原始细胞的衍生细胞,而水平树脂道来源于射线原始细胞,两者都以裂生方式发生。  相似文献
