Studies were performed on the behavior of cutaneous delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) in guinea pigs in which macrophage disappearance reaction (MDR) was induced. Guinea pigs were immunized with dinitrophenylated egg albumin (DNP-EA), followed by intraperitoneal (ip) injection of liquid paraffin in order to elicit peritoneal macrophages. Subsequently 20 micrograms of EA was injected into these animals and the animals were divided into two groups. One group of animals was sacrificed for estimation of MDR 6 hr after the subsequent ip injection. The other group received a skin test by EA at the time of the subsequent ip injection. The first group of animals sacrificed for estimation of MDR exhibited a marked reduction in the number of peritoneal macrophages. The second group of animals that received skin tests revealed suppressed skin reactions 24 hr after the subsequent ip injection. A similar experiment was performed using the guinea pigs doubly immunized with DNP-EA and dinitrophenylated bovine gamma-globulin (DNP-BGG). Induction of MDR was performed by ip injection of BGG and skin tests were done by both EA and BGG. As a result, suppression of not only BGG-induced skin reactions but also EA-induced skin reactions was observed in animals in which MDR had been induced by BGG. In addition, the guinea pigs in which MDR was induced showed hyporeactivity to phytohemagglutinin (PHA). Reactivity to skin reactive factor (SRF) was also suppressed in these animals. The culture supernatants of macrophages incubated with the MIF fraction in vitro showed the ability to suppress skin reactions of cutaneous DTH, PHA and SRF.  相似文献

We obtained immune sera from mice which received suppressor B cells induced in vitro, injected them into immunized mice, and measured suppression of the delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) of these recipient mice. In the recipients, effector-phase suppressor T (Ts) cells were induced, and the action of these Ts cells was antigen-nonspecific. The suppressive material of the sera was adsorbed on a Sepharose column coated with anti-mouse immunoglobulin antibody and acid elution of the column yielded the elute fraction that showed significant suppressive activity. The suppressive activity of the sera was also adsorbed by an antigen-coated Sepharose column, and the eluate from the column had suppressive activity. Moreover, we established antigen-specific monoclonal antibodies, some of which suppressed the DTH in an H-2-nonrestricted way. The isotype or specificity of the antibodies was not related to the suppression, because suppressive and nonsuppressive antibodies belonged to the same immunoglobulin isotype and because the antibodies that recognized the same epitope had different suppressive activities. The Fc portion was not the functional site, because the F(ab')2 fragment had the activity. The suppressive antibody induced effector-phase Ts cells, which had the anti-idiotypic receptor. These findings suggested that antigen-specific antibodies in the immune sera mediated the suppression of DTH by the induction of effector-phase Ts cells in vivo and the idiotype of the antibody stimulated the anti-idiotypic receptor of these Ts cells.  相似文献

Niridazole given in a single oral dose of 100 mg/kg to guinea pigs sensitized to ortho-chlorobenzoyl chloride-bovine gamma-globulin (OCB-BGG) regularly abolished delayed cutaneous reactivity. Little effect was observed, however, when cells from these animals were tested in vitro with either direct or indirect assays for migration inhibitory factor (MIF). On the other hand, sera taken from nonsensitized guinea pigs after they had received 100 mg/kg of niridazole markedly diminished antigen-induced inhibition of migration of sensitized peritoneal exudate cells in vitro. The immunosuppressive effects of such sera could not be produced by niridazole itself, thereby suggesting an effect of niridazole metabolites. This suppressive activity was readily removed from the serum by dialysis. The active serum blocked the production of MIF by sensitized lymph node cells but did not affect the action of preformed MIF on macrophages. The effect of this serum was reversible; lymph node cells incubated for 24 hr with active serum, then washed and reincubated with antigen in normal serum, produced normal amounts of MIF. These studies suggest that metabolites of niridazole, but not the parent compound itslef, suppress delayed hypersensitivity in guinea pigs and prevent MIF production by lymphocytes without affecting the macrophage response to MIF.  相似文献

The effect of migration inhibitory factor (MIF)-rich Sephadex fraction IV (55,000–25,000 daltons) on the level of macrophage cyclic AMP has been investigated. Macrophage monolayers were incubated with MIF for times ranging from 1 min to 24 hr. During this period no significant difference was found in the level of cyclic AMP in monolayers incubated with MIF or control fractions. It is concluded from these results that the inhibition of macrophage migration by MIF is not due to a direct alteration of macrophage cyclic AMP levels by MIF.  相似文献

The agarose droplet migration inhibitory factor (MIF) method was used to assay MIF synthesis by peritoneal exudate cells and spleen cells from mice immunized with M. tuberculosis H37Ra or EL-4 murine lymphoma. The results demonstrate the usefulness of this technically simple MIF method in the mouse, a species in which limited cell yields have complicated the use of other MIF methods for assessment of cell-mediated immunity.  相似文献

Fractions containing macrophage migration inhibition factor (MIF) and leucocyte migration inhibition factor (LIF) were obtained using Sephadex G-200 filtration from supernatant fluids of human lymphocyte cultures stimulated by PHA. The fractions were tested for the ability to affect migration and phagocytic activity of target cells. Peripheral blood leucocyte migration capacity was inhibited by the fraction with the molecular mass of 60,000-70,000 D (LIF), while migration activity of mouse peritoneal exudate cells was suppressed by the fraction with the molecular mass of 20,000-30,000 D (MIF). MIF- and LIF-containing fractions increased almost three-fold Fc-receptor-mediated phagocytic activity of neutrophils.  相似文献

Administration of the antischistosomal compound niridazole to mice, guinea pigs, and humans results in the suppression of several manifestations of cell-mediated immunity. Sera from animals treated with niridazole blocked the in vitro production of migration inhibitory factor (MIF) while niridazole itself was inactive, suggesting that these effects are caused by water soluble mediators. We now report that crude extracts prepared from the urine of rats and a patient receiving nirdazole, but not from pretreatment control urine, similarly suppress antigen-induced inhibition of migration of peritoneal exudate cells from sensitized guinea pigs. With immunosuppressive activity monitored by the direct MIF assay, combined solvent extraction and chromatographic techniques were used to fractionate immunosuppressive activity from the urine of niridazole-treated rats and the patient; the most active fractions, purified about 100-to 1000-fold as compared to methanol-water extracts of dried voided urine, inhibited MIF production at 0.1 to 0.01 ng/ml of assay mixture. These purified fractions also showed immunosuppressive activity by an in vivo assay wherein doses as low as 1 mug/kg injected intravenously (i.v.) into mice suppressed cell-mediated granuloma formation around Schistosoma manisoni eggs. Identically purified fractions prepared from urine of rats and the patient before they received niridazole showed no immunosuppressive activity either in the MIF or in the granuloma assay systems.  相似文献

Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is known to function as a cytokine, hormone, and glucocorticoid-induced immunoregulator. In this study, we reported for the first time that human melanocytes and melanoma cells express MIF mRNA and produce MIF protein. Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that MIF was mostly localized in the cytoplasm of melanocytes and G361 cells, a widely available human melanoma cell line. In particular, strong positive staining was observed at the dendrites of these cells. Expression of MIF mRNA and production of MIF protein were much higher in human melanoma cells such as G361, A375, and L32 than in normal cultured melanocytes. To assess the role of MIF overexpression in melanoma cells, G361 cells were transfected with an antisense human MIF plasmid. The results demonstrated that the cell growth rate of the transfected cells was markedly suppressed, suggesting that MIF participates in the mechanism of proliferation of melanoma cells. To further evaluate the function of MIF, we employed the Boyden chamber method to examine the effect on tumor cell migration and found that MIF enhanced the migration of G361 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, we administered anti-MIF antibody into tumor (G361 cells in a Millipore chamber)-bearing mice to assess the effect on tumor-associated angiogenesis. The anti-MIF antibody significantly suppressed tumor-induced angiogenesis. Taken together, these results indicated that it is likely that MIF may function as a novel growth factor that stimulates incessant growth and invasion of melanoma concomitant with neovascularization.  相似文献

Histamine added in vitro to cultures of sensitized lymphocytes suppresses antigen-induced production of migration inhibitory factor (MIF) and proliferation by these cells. Recent studies have suggested that lymphocytes bearing histamine type-2 receptors play a regulatory role in these in vitro responses. The present studies were undertaken to determine if suppressor function by cells having histamine receptors was mediated through a soluble product. It was found that lymph node cells from nonimmune or immune strain 2 guinea pigs elaborate a nondialyzable factor into the culture supernatant when incubated with 10(-3) to 10(-5) M histamine (histamine-induced suppressor factor of HSF). HSF, when cocultured with sensitized lymphocytes, suppressed their MIF and proliferative responses to antigen. HSF was made by lymphocytes but not macrophages. Its production could be blocked by an H2 receptor antagonist (burimamide) but not an H1 receptor antagonist (chlorpheniramine). Furthermore, the inhibitory effect of HSF was reversible as lymphocytes washed free of the factor after 24 hr and recultured with fresh medium and antigen were able to produce MIF. Gel filtration by Sephadex G-100 chromatography indicated that HSF had an approximate m.w. of 23,000 to 40,000. These results suggest that the release of histamine at the sites of immediate hypersensitivity reactions, possibly by generating HSF activity, may play a regulatory role in the subsequent development of cellular-immune reactions at the same site.  相似文献

Macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF) is an inflammatory cytokine. It is elevated early in the blood of acute myocardial infarction patients. However, it is unclear whether and how MIF is released. This study investigated the cellular source and mechanism of MIF release from hearts. An ischemia-mimic treatment induced the secretion of MIF from neonatal rat cardiomyocytes but not from fibroblasts. The treatment did not cause significant leakage of lactate dehydrogenase, suggesting that ischemia induced the MIF secretion without causing severe cell damage. Plasma samples from patients with acute chest pain at the emergency department were collected for the detection of MIF. MIF levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)increased early, when cardiac injury markers were not yet elevated, suggesting that ischemia can induce MIF secretion before the occurrence of severe myocardial damage. Serum-starvation caused MIF secretion from rat cardiomyocytes and Langendorffperfused rat hearts. The secretion was suppressed by the inhibition of autophagy by inhibitors or by silencing of Atg5. In conclusion, serum-starvation induces the secretion of MIF from cardiomyocytes via autophagy dependent pathway. Clarifying the mechanism of MIF secretion will be helpful for its application in the early diagnosis and treatment of ACS.  相似文献

The mechanism of suppression of delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) to intraerythrocytic Babesia microti which occurs during infection in mice was examined. The suppression was not specific for anti-parasite DTH; infected mice immunized and challenged with sheep red blood cells had a similar depression of anti-sheep red blood cell DTH. Sublethal or lethal irradiation did not significantly alter the suppression of the DTH response, and cyclophosphamide pretreatment of infected mice also had no effect on suppression. Multiple passive transfer experiments using serum or regional lymph node cells from immunized or infected and immunized (suppressed) donor animals failed to demonstrate any ability to transfer suppression of DTH. Adherent cells from the spleens or peritoneal exudates of suppressed mice, however, did significantly depress the ability of immunized mice to express a DTH response. The cells responsible for this suppression were Thy 1- and nonspecific esterase+. Treatment of suppressive cell populations with 10 micrograms/ml indomethacin for 24 hr in vitro abrogated their suppressive ability, and in vivo administration of indomethacin to suppressed mice also restored DTH to normal levels. By examining levels of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in supernates of cultured peritoneal exudate cells from immune or suppressed mice, it was shown that infected mice had peritoneal exudate cells which produced significantly more PGE2 than similar cells from immune mice. These data suggest that B. microti infection elicits synthesis of PGE2 by macrophage-like cells which results in suppression of DTH to parasite as well as heterologous antigens.  相似文献

The cytokine macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) exhibits pro- and anti-inflammatory activities and regulates cell proliferation and survival. We investigated the effects of MIF on apoptosis. As MIF exhibits oxidoreductase activity and participates in regulating oxidative cell stress, we studied whether MIF could affect oxidative stress-induced apoptosis. We demonstrated that MIF exhibits antiapoptotic activity in various settings. MIF suppressed camptothecin-induced apoptosis in HeLa and Kym cells and HL-60 promyeloblasts. Both exogenous MIF and endogenous MIF, induced following overexpression through tetracycline (tet) gene induction, led to significant suppression of apoptosis. Apoptosis reduction by MIF was also observed in T cells. A role for MIF in redox stress-induced apoptosis was addressed by comparing the effects of rMIF with those of the oxidoreductase mutant C60SMIF. Endogenous overexpression of C60SMIF was similar to that of MIF, but C60SMIF did not suppress apoptosis. Exogenous rC60SMIF inhibited apoptosis. A role for MIF in oxidative stress-induced apoptosis was directly studied in HL-60 leukocytes and tet-regulated HeLa cells following thiol starvation or diamide treatment. MIF protected these cells from redox stress-induced apoptosis and enhanced cellular glutathione levels. As overexpressed C60SMIF did not protect tet-regulated HeLa cells from thiol starvation-induced apoptosis, it seems that the redox motif of MIF is important for this function. Finally, overexpression of MIF inhibited phosphorylation of endogenous c-Jun induced by thiol starvation, indicating that MIF-based suppression of apoptosis is mediated through modulation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase activity. Our findings show that MIF has potent antiapoptotic activities and suggest that MIF is a modulator of pro-oxidative stress-induced apoptosis.  相似文献

Cutaneous basophil hypersensitivity (CBH) reactions are a heterogeneous group of delayed time course basophil-rich immune responses that can be mediated in the guinea pig by T cells, B cells, or IgG1 antibody. This study examined whether guinea pig IgE antibody could also mediate CBH reactions. IgE antibody to picryl or oxazolone determinants was induced by immunizing Hartley strain guinea pigs pretreated with cyclophosphamide. Hyperimmune serum from these animals was passed through a heavy chain-specific anti-IgG1 affinity column. The presence of IgE anti-hapten antibody in the filtrate fraction was verified by passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) testing with a 7-day period of local passive sensitization and by the heat lability (56 degrees C, 4 hr) of PCA activity. This IgE-rich fraction and the IgG1 fraction eluted from the column with base (0.2 M Na2CO3, pH 11.3) were transferred i.v. to separate groups of normal guinea pigs. Both fractions mediated delayed time course reactions that contained basophils. Macroscopic and microscopic reactions mediated by the IgE-rich fraction were abolished with heat (56 degrees C, 4 hr). Thus, two antigen-specific factors in guinea pig serum can mediate delayed time course basophil-containing reactions: IgG1 and IgE antibodies. IgE-mediated CBH reactions are similar to the late-phase reaction that follows IgE-dependent wheal-and-flare reactions in humans. The finding that guinea pig IgE can mediate a late reaction that contains basophils makes this a possible model for the human late-phase response, and suggests that some forms of CBH may play a role in human allergic disease.  相似文献

Neutral matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) play an important role in bone matrix degradation accompanied by bone remodeling. We herein show for the first time that macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) up-regulates MMP-13 (collagenase-3) mRNA of rat calvaria-derived osteoblasts. The mRNA up-regulation was seen at 3 h in response to MIF (10 microg/ml), reached the maximum level at 6-12 h, and returned to the basal level at 36 h. MMP-13 mRNA up-regulation was preceded by up-regulation of c-jun and c-fos mRNA. Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP)-1 and MMP-9 (92-kDa type IV collagenase) were also up-regulated, but to a lesser extent. The MMP-13 mRNA up-regulation was significantly suppressed by genistein, herbimycin A and 4-amino-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-(t-butyl)pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine. Similarly, a selective mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) kinase (MEK)1/2 inhibitor (PD98059) and c-jun/activator protein (AP)-1 inhibitor (curcumin) suppressed MMP-13 mRNA up-regulation induced by MIF. The mRNA levels of c-jun and c-fos in response to MIF were also inhibited by PD98059. Consistent with these results, MIF stimulated phosphorylation of tyrosine, autophosphorylation of Src, activation of Ras, activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK) 1/2, a MAPK, but not c-Jun N-terminal kinase or p38, and phosphorylation of c-Jun. Osteoblasts obtained from calvariae of newborn JunAA mice, defective in phosphorylation of c-Jun, or newborn c-Fos knockout (Fos -/- ) mice, showed much less induction of MMP-13 with the addition of MIF than osteoblasts obtained from wild-type or littermate control mice. Taken together, these results suggest that MIF increases the MMP-13 mRNA level of rat osteoblasts via the Src-related tyrosine kinase-, Ras-, ERK1/2-, and AP-1-dependent pathway.  相似文献

Human mononuclear leukocytes generate cell-bound procoagulant activity (LPCA) after incubation with an antigen (mumps or tuberculin) to which the donor was previously sensitized. An inhibitor of coagulation appears to be liberated into the extracellular culture fluid during incubation of leukocytes with the sensitizing antigen. Removal of this activity before measuring LPCA resulted in a reliable test that correlated directly with delayed skin reactivity. The assay was particularly sensitive in that cells from weakly sensitized donors who reacted only to high doses of tuberculin (100 TU) in the delayed skin tests produced detectable LPCA in vitro. By contrast cells from weakly sensitized donors did not react to PPD in the lymphocyte blast transformation test or the direct macrophage migration inhibition factor test. The LPCA assay correlated closely with the blast transformation and MIF tests in which cells were used from more strongly sensitized donors who reacted in skin tests with lower doses of tuberculin (1 or 10 TU). The assays were antigen-specific in that cells from donors sensitive to mumps antigen but not to tuberculin reacted only to mumps antigen in vitro. The assay was extremely reproducible; cells from individual donors reacted to the same extent over a period of 8 mo). We propose that the assay system reported here represents an improved method for the measurement of cell-mediated immunity in vitro because it requires fewer donor cells, is technically simpler, and is more sensitive than previously described methods.  相似文献

The effect of ageing on lymphocyte and macrophage functional activity in the induction of tuberculin sensitivity was studied in experiments on 440 CBA mice of three age groups. The capacity of old animals to generate delayed-type hypersensitivity following administration of BCG cells was found to be diminished and their lymphocytes caused decreased hypersensitivity on transplantation. The capacity of recipients to reproduce delayed-type hypersensitivity after thymocyte and bone marrow cell transplantation was influenced by the age of transplanted thymocytes. This capacity was markedly suppressed on the recipients of old cells. The antigen presentation function of macrophage did not after significantly as a function of age.  相似文献

Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), a putative cytokine involved in inflammatory and immune responses, was identified in rat peritoneal macrophages by Western blot analysis and its secretion into culture medium by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. To clarify the possibility of vitamin E as an immune modulator, we investigated the effect of vitamin E on MIF production in macrophages in response to calcium ionophore A23187 and lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Intraperitoneal injections of vitamin E (5 mg per rat) for 6 successive days resulted in a significant increase of alpha-tocopherol content in peritoneal macrophages. Alpha-tocopherol content of macrophages in vitamin E-treated rats was 478.3 +/- 90.7 ng/10(6) cells, whereas in control rats it was 1.5 +/- 0.5 ng/10(6) cells. For the control macrophages, total MIF content of the medium (2.5 x 10(6) cells/18 ml) without stimulation was 40.7 +/- 3.6 ng after 14 h culture, whereas stimulation with calcium ionophore A23187 (400 nM) and LPS (5.0 microg/ml) induced the elevation of MIF content to 65.9 +/- 7.5 ng and 74.3 +/- 10.4 ng, respectively (p < 0.05, n = 3). On the other hand, vitamin E-enriched macrophages without stimulation showed less MIF content (14.0 +/- 4.2 ng) than the control (p < 0.05, n = 3). Similarly, the increase of MIF of vitamin E-treated macrophages was significantly suppressed after stimulation with calcium ionophore A23187 or LPS, compared with the control macrophages (p < 0.01, n = 3). From analysis of intracellular MIF content by Western blot, we found no alteration of intracellular MIF content of vitamin E-macrophages, in contrast to the decreased content of control stimulated-macrophages, showing that vitamin E suppressed MIF secretion into the culture medium. Taken together, these results indicate that vitamin E may contribute to the regulation of inflammatory and immune responses through regulation of MIF secretion, possibly by modulating macrophage-membrane architecture.  相似文献

Environmental experiences during development provide animals with important information about future conditions. Siberian hamsters are photoperiodic rodents that dramatically adjust their physiology and behavior to adapt to seasonal changes. For example, during short winter-like days, hamsters enhance some components of immune function putatively to cope with increasing environmental challenges. Furthermore, early life stress alters the developmental course of the immune system. Overall, immune function is typically suppressed in response to chronic stress, but responses vary depending on the type of stress and components of immune function assessed. This led us to hypothesize that delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH), an antigen-specific, cell-mediated immune response, would be differentially modulated in hamsters that underwent early life maternal separation (MS) in either short or long photoperiods. At birth, hamsters were assigned to either short (SD; 8 h light/day) or long (LD; 16 h light/day) photoperiods and either daily 3 h MS, daily 15-min brief maternal separation (BMS), or no manipulation from postnatal day 2 through 14. In adulthood DTH was assessed. Hamsters reared in short days enhanced DTH responses. MS and BMS attenuated DTH responses in both short and long days. However, BMS long-day female hamsters did not suppress pinna swelling, suggesting a protective effect of female sex steroids on immune function. As is typical in short days, reproductive tissue was regressed. Reproductive tissue mass was also decreased in long-day MS female hamsters. Furthermore, MS altered photoperiod-induced changes in body mass. Taken together, these findings suggest that manipulations of early life mother-pup interactions in Siberian hamsters result in physiological changes and suppressed cell-mediated immunity.  相似文献

We have recently demonstrated that macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a myocardial depressant protein and that MIF mediates late, prolonged cardiac dysfunction after endotoxin challenge in mice. Because many factors, including endotoxin, have been implicated in the pathogenesis of cardiac dysfunction after burn injury, we tested the hypothesis that MIF might also be the mediator of prolonged cardiac dysfunction in this model. At 4 h after 40% total body surface area burn in anesthetized mice, serum MIF levels increased significantly compared with baseline (2.2-fold). This increase was accompanied by a significant decrease in cardiac tissue MIF levels (2.1-fold decrease compared with controls). This pattern was consistent with MIF release from preformed cytoplasmic stores in the heart and other organs. To determine whether MIF mediates cardiac dysfunction after burn injury, mice were pretreated with anti-MIF neutralizing monoclonal antibodies or isotype control antibodies. Beginning 4 h after burn injury (and continuing through 48 h), burned mice demonstrated a significantly depressed left ventricular shortening fraction of 38.6 +/- 1.8%, compared with the normal controls (56.0 +/- 2.6%). Mice treated with anti-MIF displayed an initial depression of cardiac function similar to nontreated animals but then showed rapid restoration of cardiac function with complete recovery by 24 h, which persisted for the duration of the protocol. This study is the first to demonstrate that MIF mediates late, prolonged cardiac dysfunction after burn injury and suggests that MIF blockade should be considered a therapeutic target for the treatment of burn injury.  相似文献

Abstract N -Acetylmuramyl- l -alanyl- d -isoglutamine (muramyldipeptide, MDP) modulated delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) reactions and induced severe inflammatory lesions in guinea pigs. The animals immunized with heat-killed Mycobacterium tuberculosis were challenged with the purified protein derivative (PPD) at the flanks and the corneas to prepare DTH reactions at 2 weeks after the immunization, thereafter 24 h the animals received subcutaneous injections of MDP at the flanks of the opposite side. At the skin with the DTH reaction, increase of swelling and redness accompanied with hemorrhage and necrosis were observed. As corneal reactions in the animals that had received MDP, increase of cornea thickness, opaque and grayish-white and the projection of eyes accompanied with severe iritis were observed. Modification of the skin reaction occurred from 2 h after the MDP injection, rapidly increased to the maximum level around 10 h, maintained the level until 24 h, then slowly decreased. The polymorphonuclear leukocyte infiltration was observed from 15 min after the MDP injection, and tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin (IL)-1, and IL-6 levels in the serum and skin lesions increased after the MDP injection. Synthetic muramyltripeptide ( N -acetylmuramyl- l -alanyl- d -isoglutaminyl- l -lysine) also provoked definite skin reactions, while the larger peptidoglycan fragments and various inflammatory agents including cytokines so far examined were inactive in this respect. Cortisone and heparin inhibited definitely and slightly the reaction, respectively. A comparison was made with the modified DTH reaction and the necrotic reactions which we reported previously.  相似文献
