本研究分析了卷蛾亚科Torticinae(Lepidoptera)53个种前翅翅脉电脑录像,确立了一套利用翅脉图像计测来鉴定卷蛾种类的方法,并开发了一个对应的专家系统。这个方法首先测定卷蛾翅脉上的22个交点(vein point)的坐标,然后把这些坐标值做为鉴定的特征依据输入数据库。 当拿到要鉴定的标本时,先让电脑自动测定其各翅脉交点坐标,再求出它与数据库中的53个种的交点坐标的相异度(dissimilarity),最后在屏幕上显示出它与53个已知种的相异度名次,相异度越小,则说明彼此翅脉越相似,与要鉴定的标本是同种的可能性越大。模拟实验的结果,名列第一的准确率高达98.2%,名列第二、第三的准确率为1.8%。 为了保证100%的准确率,本系统还将这53个已知种的成虫形态图、雌雄外生殖器解剖图、以及形态文字描述、生活习性、分布、寄主等也输入本系统。这些资料可以随时提取、配合鉴定。这一专家系统不受语言和专业程度限制,既简单迅速又准确,不失为鉴定卷蛾种类的一个好的新方法。  相似文献

Abstract  The author has reported the possibility to use venation for identification of tortricids. In the previous paper (Liu 1996), an expert system for identification using venation was also described. The present paper introduces the technique how to construct the expert system. Three original solutions in the research are published. 用清净标本制作法对中国产拳参属(Bistorta)(蓼科)12种1变种植物的叶脉序式样在光镜下进行了比较研究。结果表明,叶脉序式样可分为3种类型:(1)环结曲行羽状脉,边缘末级脉不完全,加粗且外卷;(2)环结曲行荆状脉,二级脉与其余各级脉近等粗,边缘末级脉具边脉,不加粗;(3)直行羽状脉,盲脉无或偶有,边缘末级脉不完全,不加粗。依据叶脉序式样,结合其植物习性及外部形态特征,将拳参属植物划分为3个组:拳参组section Bistortu,乌饭树叶蓼组section Vacciniifolia F.Z.Li,L.X.Liu & Y.T.Hou,sect.nov.和匍枝蓼组section Bambuphyllum F.Z.Li,L.X.Liu & Y.T.Hou,sect.nov.。  相似文献

对独叶草营养叶二叉分枝脉序及其中的网结脉和盲脉的形态学研究表明:(1)网结脉中2条完全汇合的与靠近脉中完全分离的叶脉之间未发现任何形式的维管束汇合的中间类型及网结脉中具有不同程度的连接脉退化痕迹的事实表明,网结脉不可能由靠近脉产生,相反,由于网结脉中联结脉的退化而形成开放脉;(2)盲脉是通过伴随着齿退化的达齿脉的退化、网结脉中联结脉的间断、非网结脉由分枝处间断三种方式产生的;(3)越裂片脉的出现及其可以形成网结脉的现象表明独叶草营养叶可能曾具有较为复杂的脉序,这种叶脉也呈现出退化的趋势;(4)独叶草营养叶的二叉分枝脉序可能是一种退化性状,而网结脉的出现可能是这种退化过程中的残留痕迹。  相似文献

The foliar vein nets of many seed plants and ferns display systematically informative characters. These venation characters traditionally have been observed by chemically clearing and staining leaves, a process that is slow, involves toxic chemicals, and yields delicate, glass-mounted specimens that require long-term maintenance to prevent or correct bubbling or crystallization of the mounting medium. A technique that uses X-rays and photographic film to produce images of leaf venation consistently shows veins that are 50–100 μm thick. Although the X-ray images are slightly less detailed than the best cleared and stained leaves, the images can be made much more quickly, are more easily stored and reproduced, and do not require permanent alteration of the original herbarium specimen. The technique should facilitate the use of vein characters in systematics, and the identification and systematic analysis of fossil leaves.  相似文献

Recent studies of 16S rRNA sequences through next-generation sequencing have revolutionized our understanding of the microbial community composition and structure. One common approach in using these data to explore the genetic diversity in a microbial community is to cluster the 16S rRNA sequences into Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) based on sequence similarities. The inferred OTUs can then be used to estimate species, diversity, composition, and richness. Although a number of methods have been developed and commonly used to cluster the sequences into OTUs, relatively little guidance is available on their relative performance and the choice of key parameters for each method. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of ten existing OTU inference methods. We found that the appropriate dissimilarity value for defining distinct OTUs is not only related with a specific method but also related with the sample complexity. For data sets with low complexity, all the algorithms need a higher dissimilarity threshold to define OTUs. Some methods, such as, CROP and SLP, are more robust to the specific choice of the threshold than other methods, especially for shorter reads. For high-complexity data sets, hierarchical cluster methods need a more strict dissimilarity threshold to define OTUs because the commonly used dissimilarity threshold of 3% often leads to an under-estimation of the number of OTUs. In general, hierarchical clustering methods perform better at lower dissimilarity thresholds. Our results show that sequence abundance plays an important role in OTU inference. We conclude that care is needed to choose both a threshold for dissimilarity and abundance for OTU inference.  相似文献

Ant imprints, new and previously known, from Middle Miocene deposits near Kerch (Crimean Peninsula, Russia) are described or redescribed. A new Myrmicinae species, Solenopsis atavinus sp. nov., is described based on a wingless female. A winged female similar to the earlier described Dolichoderus tauricus Dlussky, 1981 is found: due to the excellent preservation of this specimen, the new specimen and the holotype of D. tauricus are redescribed and can be reclassified as Ponerites tauricus (Dlussky, 1981), comb. nov. Oecophylla taurica sp. nov. is described based on a partly preserved imprint of a female thorax with a forewing, the venation of which allows it to be positively identified as a weaver ant. Two other species are transferred from the formal genus Camponotites to Oecophylla based on forewing venation: O. kraussei (Dlussky et Rasnitsyn, 1999), comb. nov. (Early Eocene, United States) and O. macroptera (Dlussky, 1981), comb. nov. (Middle Miocene, Stavropol, Russia). One of the studied forewing imprints is similar in venation to Paraphaenogaster microphthalmus Dlussky, 1981, described from the Middle Miocene of Vishnevaya Balka (Stavropol province, Russia) and so is attributed to this species. New material attributed to the species Iasvia reticulata ZALESSKY, 1934 and to a new species in this genus is described from the Salagou Formation (Saxonian Group, Lodève basin). Preamble to the taxonomic section, the wing venation pattern of Orthoptera is discussed. The numerous described specimens yield decisive information about variability of wing venation within the genus, previously based on a single specimen from the Russian Permian. I. reticulata is the first species from the Lodève basin that is already known from another site. The biostratigraphic implications are discussed.  相似文献

The venation patterns characteristics of different insect orders and of families belonging to the same order possess enormous variation in vein number, position and differentiation. Although the developmental basis of changes in vein patterns during evolution is entirely unknown, the identification of the genes and developmental processes involved in Drosophila vein pattern formation facilitates the elaboration of construction rules. It is thus possible to identify the likely changes which may constitute a source of pattern variation during evolution. In this review, we discuss how actual patterns of venation could be accounted for by modifications in different Pterygota of a common set of developmental operations. We argue that the individual specification of each vein and the modular structure of the regulatory regions of the key genes identified in Drosophila offer candidate entry points for pattern modifications affecting individual veins or interveins independently. Assuming a general conservation of the processes involved in different species, the transitions between different patterns may require few changes in the regulatory gene networks involved.  相似文献

Leaf venation patterns of 150 species of Euphorbia are presented and their value as a diagnostic feature in the genus assessed. Based on the gross venation patterns, the species have been grouped into uni-, bi-, tri-veined and special categories. The majority of the species studied belonged to the tri-veined category, in which ornamentation of the veins and the course of traces in the lamina proved useful additional characters. Features such as the size of the areoles, the number of vein endings, and their further ramifications and composition in each areole varied in the same leaf or in different leaves of a given species. Furthermore, no direct correlation could be established between the areole size and the numbers of vein endings and tips per areole. Forty species possess a parenchymatous vein sheath. Globular chloroplasts showed up conspicuously in the sheath cells of a few species. Dilated tracheidal elements, localized on the venules or at the tips of vein endings, are characteristic of the xerophytic species. In some instances, correlation was apparent between plants grouped according to their venation patterns and their habit.  相似文献

A numerical taxonomic study of the angiosperm family Limnanthaceae is presented. The 21 OTUs include all taxa recognized in a recent monograph of Limnanthes (Mason, 1952), plus Floerkea proserpinacoides, two undescribed Limnanthes species, and two artificial interspecific F1 Limnanthes hybrids. One species (L. montana) was treated as two OTUs: measurements for one OTU were taken from field collections and for the other, from garden-grown plants. A maximum of 35 characters was used in the numerical analyses. Raw data for each character were given equal weighting by condensation. Coefficients of resemblance were established using the mean character difference (MCD) method. Tryon's clustering technique (called key communality cluster analysis) was used. Three numerical analyses of Limnanthaceae were made: one with all 35 characters (T analysis), one with 18 floral characters (F analysis), and one with 17 pre- or post-anthesis or vegetative characters (V analysis). Relative positions of OTUs in the T and F analyses are substantially different from those in a conventional taxonomic treatment of the family. The V analysis shows many differences from the T and F analyses. In all analyses the two OTUs representing L. montana were closer to other OTUs than to each other. The two hybrid OTUs showed greater resemblance to one parent than to the other and in two analyses one hybrid was not intermediate between the parents. Similarities between the T and F analyses are explained on the basis of the predominance of floral characters in both. The differences between these two analyses on the one hand and the V analysis and phylogenetic arrangement of the family on the other are attributed to parallelisms in the evolution of floral characters associated with iucreasing autogamy in each of the two phyletic lines in the family. Analyses emphasizing floral characters will place evolutionarily remotely related outcrossing OTUs together and unrelated, autogamous OTUs together. Using characters that are mostly unassociated with the breeding system the positions of OTUs in a numerical analysis are similar to their positions in a phylogenetic arrangement. The V analysis agrees best with suggestions concerning phylogenetic affinities among the taxa in the family, and provides a useful context for the generation of further evolutionary hypotheses.  相似文献

叶脉网络结构是叶脉系统在叶片里的分布和排列样式。早期叶脉网络结构研究主要集中在其分类学意义上; 近年来叶脉网络功能性状及其在植物水分利用上的意义已成为植物生态学研究的热点。该文介绍了叶脉网络功能性状的指标体系(包括叶脉密度、叶脉直径、叶脉之间的距离、叶脉闭合度等), 综述了叶脉网络功能性状与叶脉系统功能(包括水分、养分和光合产物等物质运输、机械支撑和虫害防御等)的关系, 叶脉网络功能性状与叶片其他功能性状(包括比叶重、叶寿命、光合速率、叶片大小、气孔密度等)的协同变异和权衡关系, 以及叶脉网络功能性状随环境因子(包括水分、温度、光照等)的变化规律等方面的最新研究进展。此外, 叶脉网络功能性状的研究成果也被应用于古环境重建、城市交通规划、流域规划及全球变化研究中。由于叶脉网络功能性状是环境因子与系统发育共同作用的结果, 未来开展分子—叶片—植物—生态系统等多尺度的叶脉网络功能性状研究, 理清叶脉网络功能性状与气孔失水—茎干导水—根系吸水等植物水分利用的关系, 将为预测植物及生态系统对全球变化的响应提供新的启示。  相似文献

Abstract. The order Zoraptera has traditionally been thought to contain only one family (Zorotypidae) and one genus ( Zorotypus Silvestri). An analysis of known zorapteran wings shows that the wing venation contains character sets indicative of the existence of seven genera: Zorotypus, Brazilozoros gen.n., Centrozoros gen.n., Floridazoros gen.n., Latinozoros gen.n., Meridozoros gen.n. and Usazoros gen.n. The wing venation of Meridozoros leleupi (Weidner) from the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador and Venezuela is described here for the first time.
The major wing structures show that Zoraptera belong to the blattoid lineage. Head and abdomen characters indicate that Zoraptera probably diverged from the Blattoneoptera stock early, almost certainly before the (Protelytroptera + Dermaptera) line, and much before the (Isoptera + (Blattodea + Mantodea)) line. A homologized wing vein system is proposed for the Isoptera.
The homologized wing vein system is based on the hypothesis that the Pterygota originated with the development of protowings, which then diverged through separate but characteristic adaptations for flapping flight. Therefore the basic wing venation pattern is monophyletic, but the changes in wing musculature, articulation and basic braces between main veins are different in the major (super-ordinal) pterygote lineages (Pleconeoptera, Orthoneoptera, Blattoneoptera, Hemineoptera and Endoneoptera). Thus, these characters provide an extremely useful, almost untapped, source of data for higher-level systematics. Both higher-level and lower-level wing characters have been applied here to the phylogeny of Zoraptera and are discussed.  相似文献

Foster , Adriance S. (U. California, Berkeley), and Howard J. Arnott . Morphology and dichotomous vasculature of the leaf of Kingdonia uniflora. Amer. Jour. Bot. 47 (8): 684–698. Illus. 1960.—An intensive study of the nodal anatomy, petiolar vasculature and open dichotomous venation of the leaf of Kingdonia has revealed a type of foliar vascular system of unusual morphological and phylogenetic interest. The vascular supply at the nodal level consists of 4 collateral traces which diverge from a single gap into the sheathing leaf base. This type of nodal anatomy is perhaps primitive, and comparisons are made with the unilacunar nodes and the 2- and 4-parted leaf trace systems characteristic of many angiospermous cotyledons and the foliage leaves of certain woody ranalian genera. The petiole of Kingdonia is vascularized by 2 pairs of bundles which represent the upward continuation of the 4 leaf traces. A transition from an even (4) to an odd (3) number of strands occurs near the point of attachment of the 5, lobed, cuneiform lamina segments to the petiole. Each of the 2 abaxial bundles dichotomizes and the central derivative branches fuse to form a double bundle which enters the base of the median lamina segment. The 2 adaxial petiolar bundles diverge right and left into the bases of the paired lateral segments of the lamina. An analogous type of transition from an even to an odd number of veins occurs in many angiospermous cotyledons which develop a definable mid-vein. But, in Kingdonia, the bundles which enter the bases of the lamina segments give rise to systems of dichotomizing veinlets devoid of “mid-veins.” Although the majority of the terminal veinlets enter the marginal teeth of the lamina segments, “blind” endings, unrelated to the dentations, occur in all the leaves studied. Typically, all of the vein endings in a given lobule of a lamina segment are derived from the same dichotomous vein system. However, in some leaves, a veinlet dichotomizes directly below a sinus and the branches diverge into the marginal regions of 2 separate lobules. The phylogenetic significance of the occurrence of open dichotomous venation in such an herbaceous angiosperm as Kingdonia is briefly discussed. From a purely morphological viewpoint, the Kingdonia type of venation invites direct comparison with the venation of Sphenophyllum, certain ferns or Ginkgo rather than with any of the known reticulate venation patterns of modern angiosperms. Although the foliar venation of Kingdonia may represent the result of evolutionary reversion, the very rare anastomoses which occur seem primitive in type rather than “vestiges” of a former system of closed venation.  相似文献

Across plant species, leaves vary enormously in their size and their venation architecture, of which one major function is to replace water lost to transpiration. The leaf hydraulic conductance (K(leaf)) represents the capacity of the transport system to deliver water, allowing stomata to remain open for photosynthesis. Previous studies showed that K(leaf) relates to vein density (vein length per area). Additionally, venation architecture determines the sensitivity of K(leaf) to damage; severing the midrib caused K(leaf) and gas exchange to decline, with lesser impacts in leaves with higher major vein density that provided more numerous water flow pathways around the damaged vein. Because xylem embolism during dehydration also reduces K(leaf), we hypothesized that higher major vein density would also reduce hydraulic vulnerability. Smaller leaves, which generally have higher major vein density, would thus have lower hydraulic vulnerability. Tests using simulations with a spatially explicit model confirmed that smaller leaves with higher major vein density were more tolerant of major vein embolism. Additionally, for 10 species ranging strongly in drought tolerance, hydraulic vulnerability, determined as the leaf water potential at 50% and 80% loss of K(leaf), was lower with greater major vein density and smaller leaf size (|r| = 0.85-0.90; P < 0.01). These relationships were independent of other aspects of physiological and morphological drought tolerance. These findings point to a new functional role of venation architecture and small leaf size in drought tolerance, potentially contributing to well-known biogeographic trends in leaf size.  相似文献

采用制作叶脉标本和透明叶标本的方法,对贵州产28种2变种小檗属植物叶脉特征进行比较研究。结果表明:贵州小檗属植物的脉序类型有5种:半达缘羽状脉、花环状半达缘羽状脉、简单弓形羽状脉、花环状弓形羽状脉和混合型。叶脉分支一般有五级:1一级脉构架均为羽状脉,粗度有很粗、粗、中等粗细和纤细四种类型,分支方式包括单轴分支和合轴分支;2粗二级脉构架中有分支达缘或分支均不达缘,与中脉夹角变化各异,内二级脉存在或缺失,细二级脉半达缘、真曲行或简单弓形,间二级脉类型复杂多变但频度种间有差异;3三级脉贯串型、结网型或分支型;4四、五级脉网状或自由分支且常混合在一起。脉间区从发育差到良好,小脉从不分支到不均等分支等各种类型均有,叶缘末级脉缺失、不完整、钉状和环状。大部分种类叶缘具齿,每1cm齿数目和齿内腺点的特性等特征在不同种类间有区别,具有鉴定价值,但齿其它特征复杂多变或种间区别较小,同时齿内脉性状也不稳定。此外,齿的有无会对脉序类型产生影响。小檗属植物叶脉类型存在种间差异,具有重要的分类学价值,叶脉类型的变化和复杂程度显示了该属植物的进化特点;叶齿的有无和齿特征具有分类学和系统学意义。基于叶脉特征的研究结果并结合重要的外部形态学特征编制了贵州小檗属植物的分种检索表。研究结果可为小檗属植物分类寻找新的依据并探讨其系统学意义。  相似文献

对中国云实属植物小叶叶片脉序的观察表明,该属植物小叶叶片脉序类型非常一致,均为环结曲行羽状脉,二级脉急转曲行.叶脉分支一般为四级,少数达五级.盲脉不分支或分支较少,最多两次分支.见血飞亚属与云实亚属叶片脉序特征相似,属于同一自然类群.编写了中国云实属植物叶片脉序特征分种检索表.  相似文献
