悼念赵修复教授

我国著名昆虫学家、蜻蜓和蜂类分类专家、昆虫分类学报编委、中国人民政治协商会议福建省委员会原副主席、中国民主同盟福建省委员会名誉主任委员、福建农林大学博士研究生导师赵修复教授因病医治无效 ,于 2 0 0 1年 5月 2日 1 3时 1 0分在福州逝世 ,享年 85岁。赵修复教授 1 91 7年 5月 1 7日出生于福州市。1 935年就读于燕京大学生物系 ,1 939年 8月毕业后任济南齐鲁大学生物系助教。1 941年 9月任福建省泉州培英女子中学教师。1 942年 2月任福州协和大学生物系助教、讲师。1 948年 8月赴美国麻萨诸塞州立大学昆虫系攻读硕士、博士研究生…

Abstract

Dr. Mathias P. Mertes, well-known medicinal chemist, member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Nucleosides & Nucleotides, and a good friend, died unexpectedly earlier this year. An obituary written by Drs. Gary Grunewald and Robert Hanzlik of the University of Kansas is presented below followed by a list of the publications of Dr. Mertes. Many of us have pleasant memories of stimulating interactions with Matt. We can hope that the spirit and enthusiasm with which Matt approached science has rubbed off on some of us. He will be missed.
