A new strain of Steinernema feltiae (Rhabditida: Steinernematidae) was isolated in La Rioja (Spain) from larvae of Bibio hortulanus (Diptera: Bibionidae). A comparative morphometric analysis of this new strain and four additional S. feltiae isolates was performed. Although significant differences in morphometric measurements were observed, PCR-RFLP profiles and sequence analysis of the ITS region of rDNA confirmed the identity of the new strain as A2 RFLP type of S. feltiae. A comparative morphometric study among nematodes from three hosts, Galleria mellonella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), Spodoptera littoralis (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) and B. hortulanus, was conducted. Ecological characterization of the Rioja isolate was performed in G. mellonella larvae. Larval mortality was 75.3 and 78.12% in penetration and sand column assays, respectively, and the percentage of penetrating infective juveniles was 12.0 and 2.8% in these assays. Larval mortality in the one-on-one bioassay was 4.2%, and in exposure-time bioassays, it was 50% at 11.25 hours. Relationships between morphometric characteristics and host mortality are discussed for this new strain of entomopathogenic nematode.  相似文献

The configuration of quinone systems, cellular fatty acids and diaminopimelic acids in 11 species of thermophilic clostridia which have been classified into new genera based on their 16S rRNA sequences was determined. It was found that menaquinone 7 was present in 10 species as the major component of menaquinone systems by analyses using HPLC with photodiode-array detector and electron impact mass spectrometry. In seven of the 11 species, the major cellular fatty acids were determined to be iso-15:0 and iso-17:0. As a results of chemotaxonomic studies it was demonstrated that the representatives of the new genera Thermoanaerobacter and Thermoanaerobacterium were heterogeneous in their chemical composition, whereas strains of the new genus Moorella and of the new unnamed genus which is composed of (Clostridium) stercorarium and (Clostridium) thermolacticum showed homogeneity in their chemotaxonomic characteristics.  相似文献

The genus Dasyporella was created by Stolley in 1893. Later, two different species were assigned to this genus under the same specific name Dasyporella norvegica. One of them was misinterpreted by Johnson & Konishi (1959) which introduced a confusion in the genus definition. The revision of the genus Dasyporella was therefore necessary and the study of new specimens belonging to the misinterpreted species have led to the creation of a new genus: Californiella. This new genus clarifies the concept of Dasyporella with the reinstatement of its original definition.  相似文献

The expression of a new acylamidase gene from R. erythropolis TA37 was studied in Rhodococcus erythropolis strains. This acylamidase, as a result of its unique substrate specificity, can hydrolyse N-substituted amides (4′-nitroacetanilide, N-isopropylacrylamide, N′N-dimethylaminopropylacrylamide). A new expression system based on the use of the promoter region of nitrile hydratase genes from R. rhodochrous M8 was created to achieve constitutive synthesis of acylamidase in R. erythropolis cells. A fourfold improvement in the acylamidase activity of recombinant R. erythropolis cells as compared with the parent wild-type strain was obtained through the use of the new expression system.  相似文献

The investigation of Eremanthus crotonoides afforded in addition to known compounds three new furanoheliangolides, while from E. glomerulatus six new furanoheliangolides and eremantholides were isolated. From the aerial parts of Chresta sphaerocephala a new guaianolide was obtained, while the roots contained known furanoheliangolides. The chemotaxonomy of the subtribe Lychnophorinae is discussed briefly.  相似文献

Five Japanese liverworts (Bazzania sp.) were examined for sesquiterpenes. B. japonica and B. pompeana contained two new drimane-type sesquiterpene esters, albicanyl 3,4-dihydroxycinnamate and albicanyl 2,4dihydroxycinnamate. Tridensenone, a new aromadendrane-type sesquiterpene ketone was isolated from B. tridens. The stereostructures of these new sesquiterpenes were elucidated mainly by spectrometry. Barbatane-, bazzanane- and cuparane-type sesquiterpenes were found in all of the five species investigated. These sesquiterpenes, along with the new drimane- and aromadendrane-type sesquiterpenes are useful chemosystematic markers.  相似文献

In Seefeld, Austria, Leontodon ˣgrassiorum Zidorn, a new Leontodon s.str. (Asteraceae, Cichorieae) hybrid was discovered. The new nothospecies is a hybrid between an Azorean endemic Leontodon species, commercially available as an ornamental plant, the recently described Leontodon hochstetteri M.Moura et L.Silva, and the most common Leontodon s.str. species in Austria, L. hispidus L. The origin of the new hybrid is discussed as well as the proper naming of its Azorean parent established. The new hybrid was morphologically and phytochemically characterised. Moreover, DNA-samples were analysed and discussed in the context of hybridization. The observed patterns are discussed with special emphasis on the importance of chemical markers in the discovery and characterisation of hybrids.  相似文献

For tall grasslands of Carpathian avalanche troughs with dominantFestuca carpatica (orPoa nemoralis subsp.montana) a new alliance ofFestucion carpaticae has been established. The Longibrachiatum Clade of the genus Trichoderma in Japan was examined, among which two new species and three new records are herewith reported. The new species, T. tsugarense and T. kunigamense were isolated from a bed log (cultivation of Lentinula edodes) and volcanic ash soil, respectively. These species are distinguished from closely related species by growth and morphological characteristics and in phylogenetic analysis. Additional species new to Japan were T. ghanense, T. parareesei and T. sinense. The significance of their distribution is discussed. Most species of the Longibrachiatum Clade are tropical rather than temperate in distribution. Their in vitro optimum growth tends to be >35 °C but the optimum temperature for some Japanese species was lower. Some species are endophytes of temperate plant species, some of which are endemic in Japan.  相似文献

Microbiota have recently been shown to be associated with many disease conditions. However, the microbiota associated with tuberculosis (TB) infection, recurrence and treatment outcome have not been systematically characterized. Here, we used high throughput 16S RNA sequencing to analyze the sputum microbiota associated with Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection and also to identify the microorganisms associated with different outcomes of TB treatment. We recruited 25 new TB patients, 30 recurrent TB patients and 20 TB patients with treatment failure, as well as 20 healthy controls. Streptococcus, Gramulicatella and Pseudomonas were more abundant in TB patients while Prevotella, Leptotrichia, Treponema, Catonella and Coprococcus were less abundant in TB patients than in the healthy controls. We found reduced frequency and abundance of some genera such as Bulleidia and Atopobium in recurrent TB patients compared with those in new TB patients. In addition, the ratio of Pseudomonas / Mycobacterium in recurrent TB was higher than that in new TB while the ratio of Treponema / Mycobacterium in recurrent TB was lower than that in new TB, indicating that disruption of these bacteria may be a risk factor of TB recurrence. Furthermore, Pseudomonas was more abundant and more frequently present in treatment failure patients than in cured new patients, and the ratio of Pseudomonas / Mycobacterium in treatment failure was higher than that in new TB. Our data suggest that the presence of certain bacteria and the disorder of lung microbiota may be associated with not only onset of TB but also its recurrence and treatment failure. These findings indicate that lung microbiota may play a role in pathogenesis and treatment outcome of TB and may need to be taken into consideration for improved treatment and control of TB in the future.  相似文献

A new natural product, 3,4,8,9,10-pentahydroxy-dibenzo-[b,d]pyran-6-one was isolated from the flowers of Tamarix nilotica which also contains the known compound ellagic acid, 2,3,7,8-tetrahydroxy [1]benzopyrano[5,4,3-cde][1]benzopyran-5,10-dione. The structure of the new compound was determined by chemical and spectroscopic methods. The 13C MNR spectrum of ellagic acid was recorded and assigned.  相似文献

Sinoporella leei was first described and illustrated by Yabe in 1949 as a new species and was ascribed to a new subgenus of the genus Triploporella (Steinmann). This alga was not illustrated again until Mu published 25-years later a photomicrograph of a longitudinal-tangential section. The recent finding of new specimens in Permian strata of the Guangxi region (South China) allows us to better illustrate this alga, and to improve our understanding of its morphology to the extent that we find it necessary to emend the current diagnosis. The new observations focus mainly on the morphology of the second-order laterals, on their relationship to the first-order laterals, and the connection of the first-order laterals to the main stem. These data suggest that Sinoporella represents a self-standing, discrete genus that differs from Triploporella. We also consider the lack of cystophores (cyst containers sensu De Castro) and the possible occurrence of individual cysts in the first order laterals as characteristics that do not accord with Barttolo's emended diagnosis of Triploporella.  相似文献

A new genus Siberioklipsteinia (with the type species S. dagysi sp. nov.) and a new species Arctoarpadites nelgesensis are described from the Carnian of the Kharaulakh Range and Yana Upland (eastern Yakutia). The new data allow refinement of the taxonomy of Carnian ammonoids of northeastern Asia and emendation of some details of their geographical differentiation. The new ammonoid taxa belong to the family Arpaditidae, which was not previously recorded from the eastern Boreal Realm.  相似文献

A new lupin alkaloid, (+)-11-oxocytisine (1), was isolated from the leaves of Sophora secundiflora together with (−)-anagyrine, (−)-N-methylcytisine, (−)-baptifoline, (−)-N-formylcytisine, (−)-N-acetylcytisine and (−)-cytisine. The investigation of Aster umbellatus afforded six new eudesmanolides and a new selina-triene and from Aster exilis a new tremetone derivative was isolated.
