The peculiarities of frog erythrocyte electrophoretic mobility, coupled to the seasonal course of temperatures, have been studied. At the periods of anabiosis and of burst of hemopoiesis, in the vascular bed there increases the portion of functionally young erythrocytes (up to 22%) with increased values of the cell membrane surface charge. Preparation to winter is accompanied by a rise of the number of circulating functionally worn-down blood cells (up to 60%) with low values of the superficial charge and low mobility in electrical field. Use of the cell microelectrophoresis method of evaluation of seasonal activity of frog erythrocytes allows obtaining objective data about the cellular surface charge and its depending functional cell activity without submitting the erythrocytes to modifying actions.  相似文献

The effect of neuraminidase, trypsin and pronase on the electrophoretic mobility of human erythrocytes and their aggregation induced by La3+ was studied in vitro. The aggregation of intact red cells differs from that of cells treated with neuraminidase and proteolytic enzymes. The above differences are observed in the range of La3+ suspension concentration from 20 to 330 microM. A possible mechanism of aggregation is discussed.  相似文献

As assessed by changes in the erythrograms asymmetry coefficient, selectivity of the strophantin effect on cell populations with different mobility and age specifics of reciprocal responses, was revealed in adult subjects and in children. The data obtained suggest existence of difference in quality of functional condition of the erythrocytes with normal as well as reduced mobility in children and in adults.  相似文献

An attempt was made to analyze the electrophoretic mobility data of human erythrocytes in media of different pH values and ionic strengths through cell surface models in which the surface charge layer consists of several ion-penetrable sublayers with a uniform charge distribution in each sublayer. As a result, the three-sublayer model was found to explain the mobility data much better than the two-sublayer model in a wide range of ionic strength at all pH values studied.  相似文献

Positive air ions decreased the electrophoretic mobility of erythrocytes of cats while negative air ions increased it. Inhalation of normal air supplied by a fan did not affect the electrophoretic mobility of erythrocytes.
Zusammenfassung Positive Luftionen setzten die elektrophoretische Beweglichkeit der Erythrocyten von Katzen herab, während negative Luftionen sie steigerten. Die Inhalation normaler Luft, die von einem Ventilator unterstüzt wurde,beeinflusste die elektrophoretische Beweglichkeit von Erythrocyten nicht.

Resume Les ions positifs diminuent la mobilité électrophorétique des érythrocytes des chats, alors que les ions négatifs l'augmentent. L'inhalation d'air normal,même activée par un ventilateur, ne l'influence par contre pas.

Glutathione S-transferase enzyme (GST) (EC 2.5.1.18) was purified from rainbow trout erythrocytes, and some characteristics of the enzyme and effects of some metal ions on enzyme activity were investigated. For this purpose, erythrocyte glutathione S-transferase enzyme which has 16.54 EU/mg protein specific activities was purified 11,026-fold by glutathione-agarose affinity chromatography with a yield of 59%. Temperature was kept under control (+4°C) during purification. Enzyme purification was checked by performing SDS-PAGE. Optimal pH, stable pH, optimal temperature, and KM and Vmax values for GSH and 1-chloro-2, 4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) were also determined for the enzyme. In addition, IC50 values, Ki constants and the type of inhibition were determined by means of Line-Weaver-Burk graphs obtained for such inhibitors as Ag+; Cd2+, Cr2+ and Mg2+.  相似文献

Using the factor analysis, it was shown that the total content of hemoglobin in human blood plays a limited and indirect role in the regulation of average electrophoretic mobility of erythrocytes. In this case, it is not the only parameter governing this level. The statistical relationship between the total content of hemoglobin and erythrocyte mobility in electrical field is not stable and is determined by the dependence of both indices on their common factor of control of erythroid homeostasis.  相似文献

Effects of acute and chronic cold stress on glutathione and related enzymes in rat erythrocytes were investigated. Blood from both cold-acclimated (CA) and cold-adapted (CG) rats had significantly lower concentrations of glutathione than blood from control animals. Superoxide dismutase activity was increased significantly in CA rats and tended to rise in CG rats. Activity of glutathione peroxidase in erythrocytes was inconsistent in that it tended to increase in CA rats but decreased significantly in CG rats. The results may imply that CG rats suffered deleterious effects of hydrogen peroxide. On the other hand, there were marked decreases in glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase activities in acutely cold-exposed rats in conjunction with unchanged levels of glutathione. In all treatments the state of riboflavin metabolism was estimated to be adequate, since no increases were observed in the erythrocyte glutathione reductase activity coefficient.  相似文献

The effects of in vitro exposure of human erythrocytes to different concentrations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and its metabolite 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) were studied. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and the level of reduced glutathione (GSH) were determined. The activity of erythrocyte superoxide dismutase SOD decreased with increasing dose of 2,4-D and 2,4-DCP, while glutathione peroxidase activity increased. 2,4-D (500 ppm) decreased the level of reduced glutathione in erythrocytes by 18% and 2,4-DCP (250 ppm) by 32%, respectively, in comparison with the controls. These results lead to the conclusion that in vitro administration of herbicide-2,4-D and its metabolite 2,4-DCP causes a decrease in the level of reduced glutathione in erythrocytes and significant changes in antioxidant enzyme activities. Comparison of the toxicity of 2,4-D and 2,4-DCP revealed that the most prominent changes occurred in human erythrocytes incubated with 2,4-DCP.  相似文献
