The adrenergic nerves of the radical and longitudinal arteries and the dura mater at the level of cervical, thoracic and lumbar segments of the ventral and dorsal sides of the spinal cord were studied in 70 mature cats by methods of Falck and Glenner. The adrenergic fibres form developed plexuses different in the density of disposition of nerve conductors on the arteries of different segments of the spinal cord. The adrenergic fibres are also found in the pia mater tissue. Nerve fibres containing active monoaminoxidase are less in number than adrenergic ones found by Falck's method. It is probably due to activation of catecholamines being realized by other ways in addition to oxydative desamination.  相似文献

Summary The adrenergic nerves in the pancreas of mice, rats, guinea-pigs, rabbits, and cats were investigated with the fluorescence method of Falck and Hillarp. The relations between the adrenergic fibres and the vessels were studied by the injection of india ink into the vessels.Besides the normal manifestation of adrenergic fibres at the large vessels, some vessels of capillary size were also accompanied by adrenergic fibres. These fibres had a very weak fluorescence, and showed up regularly only when the animal had been treated with Nialamide and L-DOPA or dopamine to increase the catecholamine content of the adrenergic fibres. The weakness of the fluorescence is perhaps due to low transmitter concentration or to small size of the nerve fibres, or to both. A rough estimate indicated that either the transmitter concentration of the nerve fibre is at least approximately 100 times below that seen in adrenergic nerves in other tissues, or that the radius of the varicosities of the nerve fibres is less than 0.2 . Neither alternative has previously been recognized. The secretory acini of the pancreas seem to lack a direct adrenergic supply. In the intrapancreatic ganglia, non-fluorescent nerve cells were reached by adrenergic terminals. No adrenergic nerve cells were detected in the pancreas of rats and cats. Small intensely fluorescent catecholamine-containing cells were observed in connexion with the intrapancreatic ganglia of rats. The research reported in this document has been sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research under grant AF EOAR 67-15 through the European Office of Aerospace Research (OAR), United States Air Force, by the United States Public Health Service (grant NB 06701-01) by the Swedish Medical Research Council (project B 67-12X-712-02A), and by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lund, Sweden.  相似文献

It has been established that specifically fluorescening fibres and their endings as well as neurons along the length of the large intestine and in the thick of its wall have uneven distribution in cats, albino rats and dogs. A considerable part of fibres are concentrated in the muscular-intestinal, submucose plexuses and in the circular muscular layer. The greatest amount of fibres can be found in the rectum wall. They form various synaptic contacts mainly with parasympathetic neurons. Such connections with the bundles of smooth muscles are not very numerous. An exclusion is the rectum because in its wall there are equally many endings of both kinds. Solitary fibres and their endings are referred to the neurons of intramural ganglia. Their amount here is not great, most frequently they are found in cranial portions of the large intestine.  相似文献

The neural fibres of cerebral arteries in humans, rats, guinea-pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, swine, cows and horses have been studied using the methods of Flack-Hillarp and Koelle. The large arteries of the carotid and vertebral systems bear dense cholinergic and adrenergic plexuses formed by transversal and longitudial neural fibres, which are located in the superficial and deep adventitial layers. The highest density of cholinergic and adrenergic fibres was observed on the arteries of humans and large mammals. Depending on the density of cholinergic and adrenergic fibres in the said arteries, the animals may be listed in the following order: rats, guinea-pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, swine, cows and horses. Basic differences in the structure of neural plexuses of humans and animals were not observed.  相似文献

Some morphofunctional peculiarities in microcirculatory pathways of the dura mater of the human spinal cord are described. They are concerned with the structure of arteriolo-venular anastomoses through which a rather large amount of arterial blood is transported into the venous bed. Around the vessels of arterial type running at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the vessel connective tissue fibres of the dura mater, there is a tissue layer intensively impregnated with silver salts and stained PAS-positively. The venous part of the dura mater microcirculatory pathways has a large number of accessory reservoirs in the form of venous "lakes". Functional importance of the peculiarities mentioned above for the dura mater and the perimedullar apparatus is clarified.  相似文献

Heterotransplants of the human dura mater were used to replace circular and lateral defects of the thoracic and abdominal aortas, carotid and iliac arteries in experiment. Operations were performed in 106 dogs. Observations of permeability of the vessels, morphological and histochemical studies were carried out at different periods after operation (from 1 day to 2 years). The xenogenous dura mater has well pronounced plastic properties--it is solid, elastic, characterized by low antigenicity. During transplantation there appear no hard inflammatory--destructive changes in reconstructed vessels and the surrounding tissues. The transplant is gradually substituted by recipients tissues characterized by high specialization. They are rich in elastic and smooth muscle fibres, have good blood supply and innervation. The dura mater is a good material for plastics of vascular wall defects.  相似文献

By means of silver nitrate impregnation and hematoxylin -- eosin staining the microcirculatory bed of the human brain dura mater (the second half of the mature age) has been investigated. Owing to the analysis of the morphometrical data of module organization of the hemomicrocirculatory bed, an objective quantitative characteristics of its peculiarities in various layers and areas of the dura mater is presented. In three layers of the dura mater in the fornix and skull basis area, falx cerebri and tentorium cerebelli venular links predominate. Most of all morphometrical parameters of the venular vessels increase in the internal layer of the dura mater in the skull basis area. Conditions of functioning for the human brain dura mater are reflected in its blood bed, its specificity manifesting at the microcirculatory level.  相似文献

Fluorescent microscopy and spectrofluorometry of biogenic amines were employed to study the peripheral catecholaminergic systems in immobilized rats which received sodium hydroxybutyrate. The content of catecholamines was measured in the adrenergic nerves of dura mater, vas deferens and chromaffin tissue of the adrenals. It was established that sodium hydroxybutyrate in a dose of 40 mg/kg intraperitoneally promoted returning to normal of the adrenergic mediator activity during alarm and resistance stages. The role of the peripheral catecholaminergic systems in the mechanism of the stress-protective effect of sodium hydroxybutyrate is discussed.  相似文献

Fluorimetric methods were used to determine adrenaline, dopamine, noradrenaline, serotonin and tryptamine in the pia mater of the brain and spinal cord of various vertebrates (fishes, birds, mammals) and of man. The histochemical method using glyoxylic acid showed the presence of biogenic monoamines in adrenergic nerve fibres and in the monoaminocytes. Their total amount in the pia mater is roughly the same, except in man, in whom it is significantly lower. From the higher adrenergic axon concentration on the one hand and the lower number of monoaminocytes on the other, it can be concluded that the neuronal factor has a more important role in the regulation of brain haemodynamics in man.  相似文献

The adrenergic innervation of the urinary bladder of normal female and pregnant rats has been studied using a fluorescence histochemical method. The bladder is richly innervated by adrenergic nerve fibres as is evidenced by the presence of numerous adrenergic nerves in the adventitia, musculosa and submucosa. However, adrenergic nerve cells could not be observed. During pregnancy, adrenergic nerve fibres showed signs of degeneration, as most of the nerve fibres disappeared and the surviving fibres were much swollen. 10 days after parturition the pattern and density of adrenergic innervation became almost similar to those of the control animals.  相似文献

Summary The adrenergic innervation of the juxtaglomerular complex was studied in kidneys from mice, rats, guinea-pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, pigs, monkeys, and humans using fluorescence histochemistry of neuronal nor-adrenaline and autoradiography of 3H-noradrenaline. The localization of the nerves was established by phase contrast optics or by perfusing the vascular system with India ink. Adrenergic nerve terminals, exhibiting a formaldehyde-induced fluorescence and having the ability to take up and accumulate 3H-noradrenaline, were easily identified when they enclosed the glomerular afferent arteriole. They continued in between and close to the macula densa and lacis cells to supply the glomerular efferent arteriole. The nerves could be seen to accompany this arteriole for a considerable distance until they branched off to the vasa recta in the juxtamedullary region and to adjacent cortical veins. This innervation pattern was found to be a constant feature except in kidneys from guinea-pigs and cats, in which post-glomerular adrenergic nerves were not found in some of the superficial glomerular units. The fluorescence in all adrenergic fibres supplying the juxtaglomerular complex disappeared after removal of the aortico-renal ganglion, showing that they belong to a common system of renal sympathetic nerves. This work is dedicated to Professor Wolfgang Bargmann in honour of his seventieth birthday, January 26, 1976  相似文献

The prostate innervation has been studied in 50 white rats, 12 rabbits, 12 guinea pigs, 6 cats and 6 dogs. Together with the impregnation techniques, Karnovsky-Roots method has been applied, for revealing cholinergic components, and the incubation method in 2% solution of glyoxylic acid, for revealing adrenergic nervous structures. Density of adrenergic and cholinergic nervous plexuses has been estimated by means of the planimetric point method. The prostate of the laboratory animals possesses well manifested adrenergic and cholinergic nervous plexuses. The organ's alveolus and ducts are covered with adrenergic and cholinergic fibers, however, the relative density of the cholinergic plexuses is less than that of the adrenergic ones. The guinea pig prostate is the most richly supplied with the adrenergic nervous plexuses, and the rabbit prostate--with the cholinergic nervous plexuses.  相似文献

Under investigation were the pharynx, oesophagus and stomach of 23 cats subjected to a single maximum endurable gravitation stress. The material was treated after Bielschowski-Gross. It has been established that as early as within 48--72 hours after gravitation effects there appear changes of different elements of the nervous apparatus of the organ under study such as increased argirophilia of nervous structures and reactive changes of different sensory nerve terminations. Motor animal nerve terminations do not change. Most of myelinated afferent fibres and non myelinated vegetative fibres undergo reactive changes. Within 7 days there appear certain myelinated fibres which are in the stage of granular desintegration,  相似文献

Substance P-like immunoreactivity (SPLI) was studied by immunocytochemistry and radioimmunoassay in the cerebral arteries, choroid plexus and dura mater of the guinea-pig, rabbit, cat and man. The highest concentrations were found in cerebral blood vessels: 6.1 +/- 2.3 pmol/g (guinea-pig), 9.0 +/- 1.1 pmol/g (rabbit), 7.1 +/- 0.4 pmol/g (cat), and 2.4 +/- 0.9 pmol/g (man). Lower levels were obtained in the choroid plexus and dura mater. The distribution of substance P (SP)-immunoreactive nerve fibres found in various regions of the guinea-pig correlated well with the amount of SPLI measured. Sympathectomy did not alter the concentration of SPLI in the dura mater or in cerebral blood vessels. Electrical field stimulation or 124 mM potassium enhanced the spontaneous efflux of SPLI by 10 and 20%, respectively, from superfused pial arteries in vitro. These data are in support of a functional role of perivascular SP within the cranial circulation.  相似文献

The mediator activity of the peripheral catecholaminergic systems (the adrenergic nerves of dura mater and the concentrations of noradrenaline and adrenaline in the adrenals of rats) during dynamic and immobilization stress was investigated with the help of fluorescent microscopy and spectrofluorometry. Neuropeptides--dalargin and another enkephalin analog--were injected intraperitoneally, 150 mg/kg. A visible antistress action of these neuropeptides has been demonstrated, it was more marked after treatment with dalargin. The role of peripheral catecholaminergic system in the mechanism of stress-protective effects of neuropeptides is discussed.  相似文献

Summary Distribution of cholinesterase-containing nerve fibres on blood vessels in the lungs of rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, and rhesus monkeys has been studied with the thiocholine method modified by Coupland and Holmes and with the direct-coloring method according to Karnovsky and Roots. The presence of acetylcholinesterase positive nerve fibres on the pulmonary arteries has been established only in four species of the studied animals, namely the cat, the dog, the rhesus monkey and the rabbit. These nerves form d distinct plexus on the border between the media and adventitia. In the thick walled perihilar branches of the pulmonary artery of the rabbit the nerve fibres penetrate—as a rule—into the outer half of the media. Despite many times repeated experiments and careful investigations no nerve fibres have been found on the intrapulmonary branches of the blood vessels in the lungs of rats, mice, and guinea pigs. In the walls of the pulmonary veins, with the exception of the pulmonary veins in the rat and the mouse, cholinesterase fibres have been identified only seldom. Acetylcholinesterase nerve fibres in medio-adventitial localization have also been found in the walls of bronchial arterioles, this being the case in all the species under study. Bronchial veins do not exhibit any nerve fibres. The distribution of the acetylcholinesterase-containing nerve fibres on the pulmonary arteries is different from species to species.  相似文献

The adrenergic nervous plexuses of the pial arteries from 450- to 50 micron in diameter have been studied in dogs, cats and humans from 4 age groups (22-44 years, 55-64 years, 65-74 years and 75-86 years old). It has been found that the decrease in the vessel diameter was accompanied by a marked decline in the absolute number of nervous fibers in the nervous plexuses, however the concentration of the nerve fibers has not revealed any significant differences between human arteries from 450 to 100 micron in diameter and animal arteries from 300 to 80 micron in diameter. The number of varicosities-thickness along the nerve fiber--was the greatest in 200-100 micron human arteries and in 80-60 micron animal arteries. With ageing, the number of varicosities in the adrenergic nervous plexus of human pial vessels decreased faster than in the nerve fibers.  相似文献

Adrenergic and cholinesterase-containing neurons of the heart   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Summary The adrenergic and acetylcholinesterase-containing nerves of the hearts of mice, rats, guinea-pigs, rabbits, and cats were studied. The fluorescence technique of Falck and Hillarp was used for the demonstration of adrenergic nerves, whereas a modified Koelle cholinesterase technique was used for the cholinesterase-containing nerves. The inhibitors used were Mipafox, iso-OMPA and Nu 683. Microspectrofluorometry was used to identify the structures containing dopamine.Adrenergic as well as acetylcholinesterase-containing fibres were found in all parts of the heart, most abundantly in the atria. Dense nerve plexa supplied the sinoarial and atrioventricular nodes. There was a plexus of both fibre types in the endocardium and on the atrial side of the valves. In the valves, it could be shown that adrenergic and cholinesterase-containing fibres ran closely parallel to each other. Indirect evidence suggested that this applies also to the myocardium. No nerve fibres containing dopamine were revealed in the microspectrofluorometer. The dopamine previously found in the atria seems, instead, to be situated in so-called small intensely fluorescent cells. No adrenergic ganglion cells were found in the heart despite extensive search. The vagus of rabbits was found to contain only few adrenergic preterminals.  相似文献

Method of silver nitrate impregnation was used in order to study 50 preparations of not-changed atrioventricular valves of the heart of domestic bulls and 30 preparations of the same valves of adult humans. It has been shown that in heart valves there are certain relationships between striated muscle fibres, blood vessels and nerve elements. The nerve structures of the valves are represented by nerve bundles of different thickness. In their composition there are comparatively thin non-myelinated and thicker myelinated fibres. Towards the free edge of cusps the nerve bundles become thinner and the nerve trunks give off separate thin nerve fibres disposed along the vessels of a capillary type and in some places getting around them. In certain portions of cusps the nerve bundles, some of which have zigzag sinuosity, cross blood vessels in different directions. In man the major mass of blood vessels and nerve elements are disposed near the base of the valve cusps, accompanying the muscle fibre bundles penetrating from the base side. In the bull heart valves an amount of blood vessels and nerve elements is found in considerable portions of the cusps not connected with muscle fibres.  相似文献

The structure of the perineurium in different parts of the peripheral nervous system of rats, rabbits and cats was studied by light-optical and electron microscopic methods. The structure of the perineurium in all the animals studied is sim8lar and consists of different number of the epithelial type layers of the perineural cells, with bundles of cooagnous fibres between them. The greatest anount of layers is found in the perineurium of the sensory and vegetative ganglia, their amount being less between the nerve trunks and bundles. Solitary sensory mielinated nerve fibres are surrounded with a perineural etui consisting of one or two cellular layers. The thickness of the perineural cells varies from 300 to 1500 A and only in the nucleus field it is equal to 1-2 mu. Every layer of the perineural cells is surrounded by a basal membrane. In their cytoplasm there are many pinocytic vesicles in addition to main organells. Between the perineural cells there exist close contacts. The internal layer of the perineurium is the place of origin of intraganglionic septa and in certain distance surrounds the vessels entering the ganglion. Ultrastructurally the perineural cells are similar to the endothelium of the vessels.  相似文献
