The diploid chromosome number of Gymnothorax unicolor (Delaroche, 1809) is 2n=42, the karyotype comprising six pairs of meta-submetacentric and fifteen pairs of acrocentric chromosomes. C-positive chromatin is present in the centromeres of all chromosomes as well as in the paracentromeric regions of some chromosomes. A nucleolar organizer region was identified on the long arm of chromosome 9, near the centromere. This region is also positive to C-banding.Cytotaxonomical relationships are evidenced between the described karyotype and that of the related species Muraena helena.  相似文献

The karyotype of glirid tapeworm Rodentolepis myoxi (Rudolphi, 1819) (Cestoda: Hymenolepididae) comprises six pairs of small bi-armed chromosomes (2n = 12). All pairs of chromosomes possess uniform morphology, i.e. metacentric, submetacentric or meta-submetacentric types of structures. The formula of the karyotype structure is n = 2m + 1m-sm + 3sm. The absolute chromosome length ranges from 3.78 to 2.00 microm. The mean total length of the haploid complement is 15. 98 microm. The first pair (group A) is the largest, pairs 2 and 3 can be grouped into group B while pairs 4-6 are smaller and can be classified as group C. The number of chromosomes of R. myoxi is the same for the congeneric species, however, karyological characteristics differ from all recently known karyotypes of rodent hymenolepidids.  相似文献

Conventional karyotypes, NOR-bearing chromosomes by means of silver impregnation and genome size were investigated in five Mediterranean species in three genera of the Syngnathidae. A karyotype of 48 subtelocentric-acrocentric chromosomes was found in the seahorse Hippocampus hippocampus (FN=48) while a diploid value of 44 occurred in H. guttulatus (2 sm-m+42 a; FN=46) and the pipefish Syngnathus abaster (44 a; FN=44) and S. typhle (44 a; FN=44). The pipefish Nerophis ophidion , possessing a diploid chromosomal set of 58 made up of 50 meta-submetacentric and eight subteloacrocentric elements (FN=108) and a genome size three to four times larger than those known to date, differs cytogenetically from all other Syngnathids studied so far. A single pair of active NOR-bearing chromosomes was found in both species of the genus Hippocampus while in Syngnathus and Nerophis species more than two silver positive chromosomes were found to be involved in nucleolus organization giving rise to NOR-bearing chromosome polymorphism. The possible evolutionary routes of quantitative and qualitative changes in chromosome and DNA are discussed. The resulting phylogenetic scheme is shown to coincide with that constructed from morphological characters.  相似文献

In order to analyze chromosome numbers and karyotypes of intestinal trematodes belonging to the genus, Metagonimus, the gonad tissues of M. takahashii, M. miyatai, and M. yokogawai were prepared and examined. The number of bivalents in the first meiotic division of M. takahashii was nine (n = 9). The diploid number of M. miyatai was observed to be eighteen (2n = 18) and their chromosomes consisted of one pair of metacentric, 7 pairs of submetacentric, and one pair of telocentric chromosomes. The diploid number of M. yokogawai was thirty-two (2n = 32) and the chromosome complements were composed of two pairs of metacentric, 11 pairs of submetacentric, and three pairs of subtelocentric chromosomes. These results could be a supporting evidence for the validity of the new species, M. miyatai, distinct from M. yokogawai.  相似文献

利用常规核型和带型技术对分布于陕西宁陕的甘肃仓鼠进行了研究, 其核型为2n = 24 = 16 m + 4 sm +2st + 2t 。由于没有得到雄性个体, 所以很难确定性染色体。部分染色体有着丝粒C - 带, 有1 对亚端染色体长臂具较大近着丝粒异染色质带, 暂定为X染色体。3 对染色体上有NORs。与已有报道的大仓鼠染色体比较, 两者有显著差异。因此从染色体特征上看, 将甘肃仓鼠作为大仓鼠的亚种是不合适的。  相似文献

本文研究了蛙属三种:脆皮蛙、长趾蛙和威宁蛙的染色体核型,结果表明均具有蛙属典型的核型:2n=26,由5对大染色体和8对小染色体组成。三种在臂比值和次缢痕的有无、位置方面存在差异。同源染色体对间未发现异形现象。  相似文献

This study was conducted to describe the major and the minor rDNA chromosome distribution in the spined loach Cobitis taenia (2n = 48) and the Danubian loach Cobitis elongatoides (2n = 50), and their laboratory-produced diploid reciprocal F1 hybrid progeny. It was tested by fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) whether the number of 28s and 5s rDNA sites in the karyotypes of diploid hybrids corresponds to the expectations resulting from Mendelian ratio and if nucleolar organiser regions (NOR)were inherited from both parents or nucleolar dominance can be observed in the induced F1 hybrid progeny. Ten (females) or twelve (males) 28s rDNA loci were located in nine uniarm chromosomes of C. taenia. Two of such loci terminally bounded on one acrocentric chromosome were unique and indicated as specific for this species. Large 5s rDNA clusters were located on two acrocentric chromosomes. In C. elongatoides of both sexes, six NOR sites in terminal regions on six meta-submetacentric chromosomes and two 5s rDNA sites on large submetacentrics were detected. The F1 hybrid progeny (2n = 49) was characterised by the intermediate karyotype with the sites of ribosome synthesis on chromosomes inherited from both parents without showing nucleolar dominance. 5s rDNA sites were detected on large submetacentric and two acrocentric chromosomes. The observed number of both 28s and 5s rDNAs signals in F1 diploid Cobitis hybrids was disproportionally inherited from the two parental species, showing inconsistency with the Mendelian ratios. The presented rDNA patterns indicate some marker chromosomes that allow the species of the parental male and female to be recognised in hybrid progeny. The 5s rDNA was found to be a particularly effective diagnostic marker of C. elongatoides to partially discern genomic composition of diploid Cobitis hybrids and presumably allopolyploids resulting from their backcrossing with one of the parental species. Thus, the current study provides insight into the extent of rDNA heredity in Cobitis chromosomes and their cytotaxonomic character.  相似文献

Chromosomes of five subantarctic species were studied from mitoticmetaphases using cell suspension techniques. Among the Protobranchia,Malletiagigan-lea has a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 38with five metacentric, seven submetacentric, five sub-telocentricand one telocentric pairs, and Yoldia (Aequiyoldia) woodwardialso shows 2n = 38 but with ten metacentric, six submetacentricand three sub-telocentric pairs. Among the Lamellibranchia,the pterioidan Limatula pygmaea has 2n = 38 with six metacentric,eleven submetacentric and two sub-telocentric pairs, the veneroidanCyclocardia astar-toides has 2n = 30 with five metacentric andten telocentric pairs and the anomalodesmatan Laternula ellipticahas 2n = 40 with two metacentric, one submetacentric, two subtelocentricand fifteen telocentric pairs. Our results indicate that in all the Nuculoidea studied so far,a diploid number of 2n = 38 has been found. In addition, thekaryotypes show a close overall appearance in relative lengthswith a majority of meta-centric-submetacentric chromosomes.The species differ in the proportion of the different morphologicaltypes of chromosomes. Porifera (sponges) are the most basal phylum of extant metazoans. To gain insight into sponge genome construction, cytogenetic analysis was performed for ten freshwater sponge species of six genera, using conventional Giemsa staining, chromosome banding, and fluorescence in-situ hybridization. The karyotypes were very similar among the ten species, exhibiting a diploid chromosome number of 2n=46 or 48, and usually consisted of microchromosomes with one or two pairs of large chromosomes. The 18S-28S rRNA genes were localized to a single pair of microchromosomes in two Ephydatia species. Hybridization signals of the telomere (TTAGGG)n sequences were observed at the ends of metaphase chromosomes. The genome sizes of Ephydatia fluviatilis and Ephydatia muelleri were estimated by flow cytometric analysis as about 0.7 pg per diploid complement. These freshwater sponge species appear to represent a fairly homogeneous group with respect to karyotypes.  相似文献

Morphometric karyotype characters were studied in 25Angelica spp. (Umbelliferae, Apioideae) and in one species of the related genusTommasinia. For three species the chromosome numbers are new. In our study the majority of the species investigated are diploids with 2n = 22, some are tetraploids with 2n = 44 (for these tetraploids also diploid cytotypes are reported in the literature). Among the diploid species,A. miqueliana has a distinct karyotype consisting of submetacentric and acrocentric chromosomes only, the remaining diploids with 2n = 22 as well as tetraploids with 2n = 44 have rather symmetrical karyotypes, consisting of metacentric and submetacentric chromosomes. The very different chromosome number 2n = 28 has been found inA. gmelinii. Its karyotype includes two distinct groups of chromosomes: 8 pairs of rather large metacentrics and submetacentrics and 6 pairs of very short and asymmetrical chromosomes. Chromosome numbers and structures appear to be useful in the taxonomy of some intrageneric taxa inAngelica.  相似文献

报道了贵州7 种蝙蝠科蝙蝠的核型。伏翼和印度伏翼的染色体数为2n = 26 , 常染色体都由10 对双臂染色体和2 对微小点状染色体组成, N.F = 44 , 性染色体是大小悬殊的端着丝粒染色体; 两者核型的主要区别在于前者的No.3 是中着丝粒染色体, 后者为亚中着丝粒染色体; 大鼠耳辐(四川亚种) 、水鼠耳蝠和西南鼠耳蝠的染色体数都是2n = 44 , 常染色体都由4 对中着丝粒染色体和17 对端着丝粒染色体组成, N.F = 50 , 其中大鼠耳蝠(四川亚种) 和水鼠耳蝠核型非常相似, 西南鼠耳蝠与前二者有一定区别; 山蝠(福建亚种) 是2n = 36 , 常染色体包括7 对中着丝粒染色体、1 对亚中着丝粒染色体和9 对端着丝粒染色体, N.F = 50 ; 南蝠2n = 50 , 常染色体由24 对端着丝粒染色体组成, N.F = 48 , X染色体是最大的中着丝粒染色体。  相似文献

A physical map of the locations of the 5S rDNA genes and their relative positions with respect to 18S-5.8S-26S rDNA genes and a C genome specific repetitive DNA sequence was produced for the chromosomes of diploid, tetraploid, and hexaploid oat species using in situ hybridization. The A genome diploid species showed two pairs of rDNA loci and two pairs of 5S loci located on both arms of one pair of satellited chromosomes. The C genome diploid species showed two major pairs and one minor pair of rDNA loci. One pair of subtelocentric chromosomes carried rDNA and 5S loci physically separated on the long arm. The tetraploid species (AACC genomes) arising from these diploid ancestors showed two pairs of rDNA loci and three pairs of 5S loci. Two pairs of rDNA loci and 2 pairs of 5S loci were arranged as in the A genome diploid species. The third pair of 5S loci was located on one pair of A-C translocated chromosomes using simultaneous in situ hybridization with 5S rDNA genes and a C genome specific repetitive DNA sequence. The hexaploid species (AACCDD genomes) showed three pairs of rDNA loci and six pairs of 5S loci. One pair of 5S loci was located on each of two pairs of C-A/D translocated chromosomes. Comparative studies of the physical arrangement of rDNA and 5S loci in polyploid oats and the putative A and C genome progenitor species suggests that A genome diploid species could be the donor of both A and D genomes of polyploid oats. 以早期胚胎细胞为材料,用火焰干燥法制片,对分布于我国湖北省武汉市近郊的常见田螺科(Viviparidae)五种螺的核型进行了分析。结果:两种圆田螺的染色体数和国外报道的同一属的种类的一致。而三种环棱螺的染色体数,则较国外报道的另两种的少得多。在铜锈环棱螺的核型中,其m组的第一对和sm组的第四对染色体上,具有明显的随体,出现频率甚高。  相似文献

The chromosome constitution of Dybowski's sika deer was studied on the basis of 15 samples obtained from farmed stock maintained in an enclosure. The diploid chromosome number was 2n=68, 2n=67 and 2n=66. The constitutive heterochromatin (C-bands) was located in the centromeric regions of all acrocentric chromosomes. Metacentric chromosomes were C-negative. Chromosomes of three pairs proved to be NORs carriers. The size polymorphism of silver deposits was identified in two animals. A cytogenetic analysis indicated that the farmed stock of Dybowski's sika deer demonstrates considerable variation. The chromosome polymorphism observed may be a valuable marker for the management and preservation of this species.  相似文献

Three species of Chilean leaf beetles were chromosomally analyzed. The endemic Araucanomela wellingtonensis displays a male meioformula of 13 + Xyp with 2n = 28 chromosomes and an asymmetric karyotype with two large autosome pairs and 12 medium/small pairs of autosomes and sex-chromosomes, a diploid number which had not been found among the other species of the subtribe Paropsina sensu lato studied to date. Strichosa eburata presents a meioformula of 11 + Xyp, 2n = 24 chromosomes, as occurs in many species of chrysomelines belonging to different subtribes. Furthermore, Phaedon cyanopterum has a 16 + Xyp meioformula, that is 2n = 34 chromosomes, of small size mostly, also in agreement with the karyological findings obtained in all the other congeneric species so far examined. These cytogenetic data are discussed with respect to the previous ones in this subfamily and with other characters of taxonomic and evolutionary value.  相似文献

In order to cytogenetically describe the new bovid species saola (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis), comparative G- and Q-banding of saola and cattle (Bos taurus) chromosomes as well as FISH-mapping of 32 type-I markers (29 Texas markers and three additional markers) on saola chromosomes were performed. Saola was shown to have a diploid number of 2n = 50 chromosomes possessing five biarmed autosomal pairs and an acrocentric X chromosome. Homology of saola and cattle chromosomes was indicated by banding patterns and by marker hybridization suggesting that all five biarmed pairs in saola originate from centric fusions involving ten cattle autosomes. However, small intrachromosomal rearrangements cannot be excluded. In this study the first preliminary homology map of these two species is presented.  相似文献

Cichla monoculus, Cichla temensis (peacock bass or tucunare), and its presumed hybrids, were cytogenetically analyzed. The fish were collected at three distinct sites in the central Amazon basin, namely in the Uatuma (C. monoculus, C. temensis and their natural hybrid), Jau (C. temensis), and Solimoes rivers (C. monoculus). The two species and the natural hybrid showed the same diploid number, 2n=48 acrocentric chromosomes. Single NORs were detected in the distal region of the long arm in all three species. However, in C. monoculus, the NOR was found on the second pair of the complement, in C. temensis, on the third pair and in the hybrid two NOR patterns were found, one on the second pair and the other on the third pair of chromosomes. The two species and the hybrid have their constitutive heterochromatin located in the pericentromeric region of all chromosomes and an interstitial C-band located on the largest chromosome pair. The great similarity in the chromosome number and morphology, chromosome size class differences, the NOR patterns and C-banding suggested chromosomal stasis during speciation and hybridization of Cichla.  相似文献

Two populations of Sphaerium corneum were sampled from River Vilnelė and small pond in Vilnius, Lithuania. The chromosomes were studied using conventional Giemsa staining and karyometric analysis. Inter- and intra-individual variation in the diploid chromosome numbers was revealed and two different sources of chromosome variability were identified: B chromosomes and the structural changes of chromosomes of the basic (A) set. The chromosome set of the more common karyotypic form, 2 n  = 30, found in both populations, consists of all biarmed metacentric and meta-submetacentric chromosomes of gradually decreasing size. Small, biarmed, mitotically unstable B chromosomes were found in the cells of this karyotypic form. Specimens with 2 n  = 36 were found only in pond. No B chromosomes were detected in their cells. The karyotype is characterized by presence of two pairs of medium telocentrics and four pairs of small subtelocentrics. The remaining chromosomes are biarmed. Robertsonian fusions appear to be involved in formation of two karyotypic forms of S. corneum . DNA sequence analyses showed that ITS1 is identical in both karyotypic forms. On the other hand, differences in 16S sequence were revealed and two haplotypes, corresponding to two karyotypic forms, were identified. The present study opens new perspectives in establishing species-specific characters for confident identification of Sphaerium species and provides insights to the genetic intraspecific variability and possible mechanisms of speciation.  © 2006 The Linnean Society of London, Biological Journal of the Linnean Society , 2006, 89 , 53–64.  相似文献
