A new species, Klasea yunus-emrei B. Dogan, Ocak & A. Duran (Asteraceae), is described from central Anatolia, Turkey. The species grows on calcareous soils in the Alpu district (Eski¸ehir province) in central Anatolia. It is morphologically similar to Klasea lasiocephala (Bornm.) Greuter & Wagenitz. Diagnostic morphological characters from closely similar taxa are discussed and arranged in a key. Ecology, conservation status and biogeography of the species are also presented. The achene surface of K. yunus-emrei and K. lasiocephala are examined by Scanning Electron Microscope. In addition, the geographical distribution of the new species and other related species are mapped.  相似文献

In this paper, a new Centaurea L. (Asteraceae) species from Turkey is described and illustrated. Centaurea sakariyaensis Uysal & Dural grows on rocky crevices in Sakarya province in north-western Anatolia. It belongs to C. sect. Centaurea L. and taxonomically its closest relative is C. wiedemanniana. Diagnostic morphological characters from a very similar taxon are provided, and a key from flora of Turkey is modified that includes related species of sect. Centaurea. The geographical distribution of the new species and species of other related taxa of the same section are mapped. The chromosome number of C. sakariyaensis, 2n = 18, counted in root tips, is also reported and illustrated.  相似文献

A new species of Centaurea, C. sakarensis, known from a single locality north-east of the village of Lessovo on Mt Sakar, is described and illustrated. It belongs to C. sect. Acrolophus, and its morphologically closest relative is C. cariensis Boiss., a Turkish endemic from western and south-western Anatolia. The new species is currently known from a single population of about 1000 individuals, growing on open stony calcareous places, at 475 m a.s.l., and should be classified as Critically Endangered, (B1ab[i, ii, iii]+2ab [i, ii, iii]).  相似文献

A new species, Centaurera bojnordensis Ranjbar, Negaresh & Joharchi (Asteraceae), endemic to Khorasan Province in northeastern Iran and belonging to Centaurea sect. Acrocentron, is described and illustrated. This species is mainly distinguished from C. sintenisiana of C. sect. Acrocentron by its indumentum of stem, shape and size of involucres, cilia and spine length. In addition, geographical distribution of the two species is presented and shown. Cleistogamous capitula formed by Centaurea melitensis display a number of morphological and functional changes with respect to chasmogamous capitula that ensure self-fertilization. Because no studies have hitherto addressed the evolution of cleistogamy in Asteraceae, it was considered useful to ascertain whether these changes are attributable to one or more of the heterochronic processes reported in the literature. Bivariate allometric analyses were performed, and changes were represented graphically using Gould's clock models for size, shape, and age of several capitulum and floret structures. Results suggest that the partially paedomorphic appearance of cleistogamous with respect to chasmogamous capitula is attributable to three processes: (1) early onset of floral development (predisplacement), (2) decreased growth rate of the whorls studied (except gynoecium width) and (3) early offset time (progenesis). The latter appears to play the most significant role in the origin of the cleistogamous capitulum.  相似文献

A new species is described here from the Presila in Calabria (S Italy) and named Centaurea calabra. It belongs to Centaurea sect. Phalolepis and is related to the C. deusta group, namely to C. sarfattiana. Taxonomical characteristics, distribution, and ecology of the new Centaurea are also provided.  相似文献

Baccharis spicata, a species native to South America (southern Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and northeastern and central Argentina) is reported for the first time from Europe. In September 2015, two naturalized populations were detected in the surroundings of Porto (Matosinhos and Vila do Conde) in Portugal. Based on literature data, the species’ taxonomy and nomenclature are analyzed and it is described and illustrated. Furthermore, its ecology, habitat, biology, and possible vector of introduction are discussed. Finally, its invasive potential for the European Union is assessed, based on climatic variables and two different risk assessment methods.  相似文献

Tridentata, namely H. antrorsum, H. quercifolium, H. stenianum, H. vestrogothicum, and H. vetlandaënse are described from the Götaland region (southern Sweden), H. grothii from Norrbotten in the Norrland region (northeast Sweden), and H. sparsifolium var. suppansum Johanss. and H. adampliatum var. pilosius Ohlsén are raised to specific rank as H. suppansum and H. gothiciferum respectively.  相似文献

Liosarcophaga (s. str.) bartaki sp. n. is described from Turkey based on four males collected at three locations in Western Turkey. A morphological study of the genitalia using light and scanning electron microscopy has been carried out. An original key to the 10 species of Liosarcophaga occurring in Turkey is given.

A new species of Ilyocryptus Sars from Çildir Lake in Kars is described and figured. In external morphology, Ilyocryptus anatolicus n. sp. resembles partly I. sordidus (Liévin) and I. spinosus tifter, but it shows several morphological differences in shape and armature of the postabdomen and in the defensive spines on the posterior margin of the carapace.  相似文献

The essential oils of two endemic Centaurea species from Turkey, C. mucronifera and C. chrysantha, collected in the same habitat, have been studied. The main compounds of the former were germacrene D (29.3%), β-eudesmol (17.4%) and β-caryophyllene (7.3%), while in the latter germacrene D (27.4%), caryophyllene oxide (9.5%) and bicyclogermacrene (5.4%) were detected among its major constituents. The two species produced many similar compounds in their essential oils that could be justified by the similar ecological conditions of their habitat, but also many differences were found that could confirm their taxonomic separation.  相似文献
