Impatiens bomiensis (Balsaminaceae), a new species from Xizang,China

Impatiens bomiensis, a new species of Balsaminaceae from Bomi County, Xizang, China, is described and illustrated. This new species is similar to Impatiens fragicolor based on morphological characters and molecular data, but differs in the shape of the lower sepal, the dorsal petal and the number of globose glands at petiole base.     

Impatiens zhuxiensis (Balsaminaceae), a new species of Hubei,China

A new species of Impatiens L. from Hubei, China, Impatiens zhuxiensis Q.L. Gan & X.W. Li, is described and illustrated. Impatiens zhuxiensis resembles I. nasuta Hook. f. and I. compta Hook. f. and these are the only species in I. sect. Impatiens with a long abaxial rostrum on the midvein of the dorsal petal. However, the flowers of I. zhuxiensis are yellow while those of I. nasuta and I. compta are deep purple-red and pale purple-blue, respectively; I. zhuxiensis has the midvein of the dorsal petal abaxially elongated into a pointed rostrum near the apex, whilst the rostrum of I. nasuta is elephant-trunk-shaped near the middle, and that of I. compta is recurved near the apex. A molecular phylogenetic analysis of Impatiens based on ITS, atpB-rbcL and trnL-F supported these three species as closely allied and that they belong to I. sect. Impatiens.

描述了四川凤仙花属一新种,凉山凤仙花。新种与黄麻叶凤仙花近缘,主要区别:花序2~6花,均垂于叶片下,囊状的唇瓣肿胀,在中部明显弯曲,翼瓣基部裂片先端长渐尖或尾尖,上部裂片背腹约120°~180°扭转。     

Impatiens macrantha (Balsaminaceae) sp. nov., a new species from limestone areas in Guangxi,China

Impatiens macrantha S. X. Yu&Ying Qin (Balsaminaceae), a new species from Guangxi, China, is described and illustrated. Phylogenetic analysis based on molecular data shows the new species to belong to I. subg. Clavicarpa and to be closely related to I. tubulosa with which it shares succulent stems and racemose inflorescences, but it can be easily distinguished by having a 4 – or 5 – ridged stem, obovate or elliptic leaf blade, and saccate lower sepal. Furthermore, I. macrantha is distinguishable from other Impatiens in China by its obviously larger leaves and flowers. The evidence from morphology and molecular data both support I. macrantha as new to science.     

云南凤仙花属一新种及一新记录种

报道了在云南西南部发现的凤仙花属一新种——滇红凤仙花（Impatiens quintadecimacopii G.W.Hu&Q.F.Wang）和一新记录种——伸展凤仙花（I.porrecta Wall.ex Hook.f.&Thomson）。这两个种在形态上很相似,但在花色、侧萼片形状、旗瓣形状和蒴果颜色上明显有别。根据形态特征,这两个种应属于凤仙花亚属（I. subg.Impatiens）单花组（I. sect.Uniflora）。结合核糖体DNA内转录间隔区序列（ITS）与叶绿体atpB-rbcL间隔区序列开展系统发育分析,结果进一步确认了这两个种关系紧密,以及它们在单花组内的系统位置。     

Impatiens pterocaulis sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from Guangxi,China

Impatiens pterocaulis S. X. Yu et L. R. Zhang, a new species of the Balsaminaceae from Yancha, Longlin, Guangxi Region, is described and illustrated. This species is similar to I. wilsonii in having nearly white flowers, 4 lateral sepals and a racememos inflorescence, but differs by having winged stems, very short‐spurred lower sepal, yellowish flowers and an acuminate dorsal petal apex. Pollen characters and leaf epidermal micro‐characters of these two species were studied, and the results support that the two species should be kept separate.     

Bredia reniformis (Melastomataceae), a new species from Guangxi,China

Bredia reniformis, a new species of Melastomataceae from Guangxi, China, is described and illustrated. Bredia reniformis is similar to B. plagiopetala (C. Chen) R. C. Zhou & Ying Liu and B. gracilis (Hand.-Mazz.) Diels by having axillary inflorescences and flowers with eight isomorphic stamens, but differs from the latter two in having glandular-puberulous indumentum, reniform calyx lobes and shortly falcate yellowish anthers with obconical dorsal appendages.     

Impatiens pingxiangensis sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from the limestone areas in Guangxi,China

Impatiens pingxiangensis H. Y. Bi & S. X. Yu (Balsaminaceae), a new species from the limestone areas in Guangxi, China, is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to I. obesa in having succulent stems, subsessile peduncle, tufted pedicel and the lower petal in each pair of lateral united petals being connate, but differs from the latter by having perennial stems, leaf blades with 7–9 pairs of lateral veins, 1–2‐flowered racemes, ovate inner lateral sepals, and elliptic capsule. Moreover, the pollen and seed coat characters also support the recognition of the new species.     

广西苦苣苔科唇柱苣苔属一新种——李氏唇柱苣苔

报道了在广西柳州市市区附近一岩溶洞穴发现的苦苣苔科唇柱苣苔属一新种,并命名为李氏唇柱苣苔。本种与寿城唇柱苣苔及百寿唇柱苣苔相近,与寿城唇柱苣苔的主要区别在于植株体形、叶和花较大,叶为长卵状椭圆形或椭圆形,叶缘具锯齿,每花序1-3花,退化雄蕊3而与之不同;与百寿唇柱苣苔的区别主要在于叶缘具锯齿,每花序仅1-3花,花药背部密生紫色髯毛,退化雄蕊3而不同。     

Four New Species of Impatiens (Balsaminaceae) from China

In the paper four new species of the genus Impatiens (Balsaminaceae) are described from China. They are Impatiens fenghwaiana Y. L. Chen, I. wuyuanensis Y. L. Chen,I. jinggangensis Y. L. Ghen, and 1. hunanensis Y. L. Chen.     

Asplenium cornutissimum (Aspleniaceae), a new species from karst caves in Guangxi, China

Asplenium cornutissimum, a new species from Guangxi, southern China, is described, illustrated, and compared to three similar species: A. pulcherrimum, A. coenobiale, and A. tenuifolium. So far, the new species is known only from the limestone region in southern Guangxi, from 750–825 m. It grows exclusively in karst caves.     

Impatiens shimianensis sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from Sichuan,China

Impatiens shimianensis Q. Luo (Balsaminaceae), a new species from Shimian county in southwestern Sichuan province, China, is reported and its morphological characteristics are described and illustrated. Pollen grain morphology and seeds under SEM are also described. The new species is somewhat similar to I. bahanensis, I. brachycentra, I. laxiflora, I. parviflora and I. racemosa, but differs mainly by having leaf blades with white short stiff adpressed hairs; basal lobes of lateral united petals triangular, distal lobes lanceolate; and lower sepal salver‐shaped. The distinguishing characters for these six Impatiens species are given in a table.     

Impatiens nanlingensis sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from Guangdong,China

Impatiens nanlingensis A. Q. Dong & F. W. Xing, a new species of Impatiens (Balsaminaceae) from Guangdong, China, is described and illustrated. It is morphologically similar to I. jinggangensis Y. L. Chen, but differs mainly by its lateral united petals; basal lobes suborbicular, marked with yellow stripes; distal lobes narrowly caudate, apex tailed. It also resembles I. bicornuta, but I. bicornuta differs mainly in its longer peduncles, up to 25 cm, pale blue–purple flowers and broadly sigmoid‐curved–saccate lower sepal.     

Impatiens quadriloba sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from Sichuan,China

Impatiens quadriloba K. M. Liu et Y. L. Xiang sp. nov. collected from the Siguniang Mountains Nature Reserve in northwestern Sichuan, China, is described and illustrated. The seed‐coat and pollen morphology of the new species are described and diagnostic morphological characters that distinguish the new species from the related I. falcifer Hook. f. are discussed.     

Impatiens liboensis sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from Guizhou,China

Impatiens liboensis K. M. Liu & R. P. Kuang, a new species collected from Xiaoqikong Scenic Area in southern Guizhou, China, is described and illustrated, including its seed and pollen micro‐morphology. Impatiens liboensis is similar to I. chishuiensis Y. X. Xiong and I. tubulosa Hemsl., but differs by having obviously irregular underground tubers, white or pink–white flowers, lower sepal with a 1.2–1.5 cm long spur, obovate dorsal petal, and obovate‐oblong or obliquely obovate lower lobes of the lateral petals with retuse apex.
