A new species of Arabis L., A. erikii Mutlu sp. nov. , is described and illustrated. The species is restricted to inner Anatolia, south-west of Sivas. It grows on steppes. Diagnostic morphological characters are given for discrimination from the most similar taxa.  © 2004 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2004, 145 , 251–256.  相似文献

Draba streptobrachia Price is an alpine species endemic to Colorado, U.S.A. It was treated byHitchcock (1941) asDraba spectabilis var.dasycarpa (Schulz) C. L. Hitchc., but is distinct fromD. spectabilis Greene in morphology, habitat, and chromosome number (g = ca 32 inD. streptobrachia, versusg = 10 and 16 inD. spectabilis) and therefore has been raised to the rank of species. Pollen fertility inD. streptobrachia is at or near zero and anthers consistently fail to dehisce, but fertile seeds are still produced, suggesting that the taxon reproduces by agamospermy.  相似文献

Physaria pulvinata is described from isolated, grayish, argillaceous shale outcrops in Dolores and San Miguel Counties of southwestern Colorado. It may be distinguished from the relatedP. intermedia by its caespitose, mound-forming habit, and fromP. navajoensis in that its fruits are pubescent. The new species keys toP. rectipes in available floras and monographs, and differs from that species in being mound-forming from a manybranched caudex.  相似文献

Noccaea camlikensis sp. nov. (Brassicaceae) is described and illustrated from a localized serpentine range in southern Turkey. Its close relationship to N. cariensis , from which it differs in leaf and carpological characters, is discussed. The protologue of this fairly unknown species can now be amended to cover better the morphological variability of this taxon. A comparative study of seed-coat anatomy advocates its move from Thlaspi to Noccaea ; the relevant combination N. cariensis (Carlström) Parolly, Nordt & Aytaç is made. The ecology of both vicarious species is discussed and their distribution mapped.  © 2006 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2006, 150 , 409–416.  相似文献

Hesperis turkmendaghensis A.Duran & A.Ocak sp. nov. (Cruciferae) is described and illustrated from Anatolia, Turkey. The species grows under mixed forest, open forest and shady slopes in Türkmen Dağı (B3 Eskişehir) in Central Anatolia. It is closely related to H. matronalis L. ssp. matronalis , an endemic confined to Central Anatolia. Diagnostic morphological characters are discussed. Notes are also presented on its ecology, biogeography and conservation status. In addition, the pollen characteristics and seed coat surface of H. turkmendaghensis and H. matronalis are examined by SEM.   © 2005 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2005, 147 , 239–247.  相似文献

Ornithogalum mekselinae is described from the Muðla-Yaral, (C2:Mubla province) in Turkey. It is related to Ornithogalum sigmoideum, from which it mainly differs in its bulb with bulbils, 8–12 flowers, the lenght of perianth segments that are very conspicuously 6–ribbed.  相似文献

A new species, Klasea yunus-emrei B. Dogan, Ocak & A. Duran (Asteraceae), is described from central Anatolia, Turkey. The species grows on calcareous soils in the Alpu district (Eski¸ehir province) in central Anatolia. It is morphologically similar to Klasea lasiocephala (Bornm.) Greuter & Wagenitz. Diagnostic morphological characters from closely similar taxa are discussed and arranged in a key. Ecology, conservation status and biogeography of the species are also presented. The achene surface of K. yunus-emrei and K. lasiocephala are examined by Scanning Electron Microscope. In addition, the geographical distribution of the new species and other related species are mapped.  相似文献

Ferula mervynii M. Sağıroğlu & H.Duman, sp. nov. from north-east Anatolia in Turkey (A8: Artvin & Erzurum) is described and illustrated. It is closely related to F. coskunii H.Duman & M.Sağıroğlu, from which it differs mainly in its habit, basal leaves, umbel, and mericarp features. Diagnostic morphological characters are discussed. Notes are also presented on its ecology and conservation status, together with scanning electron micrographs of the surface of the mericarps and of a somatic metaphase plate showing the chromosome number.  © 2007 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2007, 153 , 357–362.  相似文献

A new species, Alyssum kaynakiae Y?lmaz, is described from southwest Anatolia, Turkey. The new species belongs to Alyssum sect. Gamosepalum (Hausskn.) T. R. Dudley. Alyssum kaynakiae is closely related to A. niveum T. R. Dudley, but differs by its biennial life form, longer ascendent stems, not imbricated linear cauline leaves and equally inflated fruits.  相似文献

Muscari turcicum Uysal, Ertugrul & Dural (Liliaceae/Hyacinthaceae) is described and illustrated from south Anatolia, Turkey. This species grows on alpine steppe in the Middle Taurus (C4 Konya Province). Muscari turcicum , an endemic confined to the Middle Taurus, is closely related to M. discolor Boiss. & Hausskn. and M. anatolicum Cowley & Özhatay. Diagnostic morphological characters are discussed and compared with those of closely related taxa.  © 2007 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2007, 154 , 233–236.  相似文献

A new species, Psephellus turcicus A.Duran & Hamzaoğlu (Asteraceae) in sect. Psephelloidei (Boiss.) Wagenitz & Hellwig is described and illustrated from Anatolia, Turkey. The species grows on limestone crevices in Kazankaya Canyon (A5 Yozgat) in central Anatolia. A neo-endemic confined to Kazankaya Canyon, it is closely related to Psephellus psephelloides (Freny & Sint.) Wagenitz. Diagnostic morphological characters from closely similar taxa are discussed, and arranged in a key of Turkish similar Psephellus Cass. The ecology, biogeography and conservation status of the species are also presented. Achene surface morphology of P. turcicus and P. psephelloides are examined by SEM. The geographical distribution of the new species and other related species is mapped.  © 2005 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2005, 148 , 495–500.  相似文献
