X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) and electronic spectra of oxalatobridged heterodinuclear Cu-Ni and Cu-Zn complexes, viz., [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Ni(PMDT)](BPh(4))(2).2CH(3)CN and [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Zn(PMDT)](BPh(4))(2).2CH(3)CN, where PMDT=pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, Ox=oxalate ion have been described. Complex [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Ni(PMDT)](BPh(4))(2).2CH(3)CN has been structurally characterized. This complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group, C(2) (No. 5) with the unit parameters a=20.445(4) A, b=14.884(3) A, c=23.174(5) A, alpha=90 degrees, beta=102.693(4) degrees, gamma=90 degrees, V=6880(2) A(3) and Z=4. The structure refined to R=0.0354 and R(w)=0.0853 for 21,109 reflections with I>2 sigma(I) using 765 parameters, shows the presence of a MN(3)O(2) chromophore in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal (TBP) heterometallic complex with oxalate dianion. Taking with an equatorial Cu-O=2.137(8) A and an axial Cu-O=1.961(6) A coordination site at Cu(II) ion and equatorial Ni-O=2.178(7) A and axial Ni-O=1.994 (9) A coordination site at Ni(II) ion. The Cu-Ni distance is 5.3532(9) A and Cu-C(2)O(4)-Ni unit is planar. The [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Ni(PMDT)](2+) shows the ESR spectrum of the antiferromagnetic spin exchange with each dinuclear delocalization of the unpaired electron over the unit and spin-doublet ground state which demonstrates the Cu-Ox-Ni core. Antimicrobial and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of these complexes have also been measured.  相似文献

The design, synthesis, characterization and self-assembling properties of a new class of amphiphilic peptides, constructed from a bifunctional polar core attached to totally hydrophobic arms, are presented. The first series of this class, represented by the general structure Py(Aibn)2 (Py=2,6-pyridine dicarbonyl unit; Aib=alpha, alpha'-dimethyl glycine; n=1-4), is prepared in a single step by the condensation of commercially available 2,6-pyridine dicarbonyl dichloride with the methyl ester of homo oligoAib peptide (Aibn-OMe) in the presence of triethyl amine. 1H NMR VT and ROESY studies indicated the presence of a common structural feature of 2-fold symmetry and an NH...N hydrogen bond for all the members. Whereas the Aib3 segment in Py(Aib3)2 showed only the onset of a 3(10)-helical structure, the presence of a well-formed 3(10)-helix in both Aib4 arms of Py(Aib4)2 was evident in the 1H NMR of the bispeptide. X-ray crystallographic studies have shown that in the solid state, whereas Py(Aib2)2 molecules organize into a sheet-like structure and Py(Aib3)2 molecules form a double-stranded string assembly, the tetra Aib bispeptide, Py(Aib4)2, is organized to form a tetrameric assembly which in turn extends into a continuous channel-like structure. The channel is totally hydrophobic in the interior and can selectively encapsulate lipophilic ester (CH3COOR, R=C2H5, C5H11) molecules, as shown by the crystal structures of the encapsulating channel. The crystal structure parameters are: 1b, Py(Aib2)2, C25H37N5O8, sp. gr. P2(1)2(1)2(1), a=9.170(1) A, b=16.215(2) A, c=20.091(3) A, R=4.80; 1c, Py(Aib3)2, C33H51N7O10H2O, sp. gr. Two dioxygen adducts of thiolato-iron(II) porphyrins, [K(222)][Fe(TPpivP)(SC6HF4)(O2)] 1a and [Na(18c.6)][Fe(TPpivP)(SC6HF4)(O2)] 2 were synthesized by reaction of O2 with five-coordinate, high-spin, cryptated alkali metal thiolato-iron(II) 'picket fence' porphyrinate. They were characterized by visible and infrared spectroscopy: lambda max (log epsilon) = 360 nm (4), 427 nm (4.69), 560 nm (3.69), 610 nm (3.40) for both compounds; v(16O-16O) = 1139 cm-1 in chlorobenzene and fluorobenzene for 1a and 2. Single crystals of composition [K(222)][Fe(TPpivP)(SC6HF4)(O2)].[K(222)](SC6HF4)(C 6H5Cl)(H2O) 1b were obtained by diffusion of pentane/xylene mixtures into chlorobenzene solutions of 1a at -5 degrees C. Single crystals of composition [Na(18c.6)][Fe(TPpivP)(SC6HF4)(O2)] were obtained by slow diffusion of pentane into benzene solutions of 2. Structures of 1b and 2 were studied at 20 degrees C (1b) and -100 degrees C (1b and 2). 1b: space group P2(1)/c (monoclinic), a = 16.806(5) A (1.6806 nm), b = 14.331(4) A (1.4331 nm), c = 52.000(15) A (5.2000 nm), beta = 92.95(2) degrees, V = 12.507 A3 (12.507 nm3), Z = 4, Dcal = 1.28 g.cm-3 (t = 20 degrees C). The final R1 factor was 0.085 for 5238 reflections having I greater than 3 sigma(I). 2: space group P2(1)/c (monoclinic), a = 13.107(3) A (1.3107 nm), b = 27.055(4) A (2.7055 nm), c = 25.029(4) A (2.5029 nm), beta = 96.84(2) degrees, V = 8812 A3 (8.812 nm3), Z = 4, Dcal = 1.18 g.cm-3 (t = -100 degrees C). The final R1 factor was 0.088 for 6587 reflections having I greater than 3 sigma(I). The iron atom is, in both compounds, bonded to the four porphyrinato nitrogens (Np), the sulfur atom of the axial thiolate and one oxygen atom of the axially end-on bonded dioxygen molecule. The average Fe-Np distance found in 1b [1.994(4) A, 0.1994 nm] is not significantly different from that found in 2 [1.993(3) A, 0.1993 nm]. The Fe-S bond length is 2.367(3) A (0.2367 nm) in 1b and 2.365(2) A (0.2365 nm) in 2. The Fe-O1 distances with the oxygen atom of O2 bonded to iron are respectively 1.837(9) A (0.1837 nm) and 1.850(4) A (0.1850 nm). The end-on bonded O2 molecule is disordered in both complexes 1b and 2.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)  相似文献

Trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+ species were prepared. The complexes have been characterized by microanalysis, IR and 31P[1H] NMR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2](ClO4)2 complex shows a reversible one-electron-reduction process at E(1/2) = 0.200 V and another one-electron-reduction irreversible process at -0.620 V, both centered at the NO+ group. The dissociation of the NO group from the trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+ after two one-electron reductions results in the formation of the trans- and cis-[RuCl2(dppe)2] isomers. The product of an electrolyzed solution of the same complex at -0.300 V shows an EPR signal consistent with the presence of the [RuCl(NO(0))(dppe)2]+ complex. Crystal data for trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+*[RuCl4(NO)(H2O)]*1/2[RuCl6]4-*2[H2O] (I) and trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)(2)]2+*2[RuCl4(NO)(CH3O)]-*3[CH3OH] (II) are as follow: (I) Space group P-1, a=10.4040(3) A, b=12.3470(4) A, c=23.5620(8) A, alpha=95.885(2) degrees, beta=99.608(2) degrees, gamma=104.378(2) degrees, R=0.0521; (II) space group P-1, a=10.9769(2) A, b=13.2753(3) A, c=24.0287(4) A, alpha=99.743(1) degrees, beta=95.847(1) degrees, gamma=97.549(1) degrees; R=0.0496. The fac-[RuCl3(NO)(dppe)] (III) complex has been also prepared; its crystal data are: space group P2(1)/n (No. 14), a=11.841(2) A, b=13.775(2) A, c=16.295(4) A, beta=92.81(2) degrees; R1=0.0395.  相似文献

Vanadium(V) involvement in interactions with physiological ligands in biological media prompted us to delve into the systematic pH-dependent synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, and perusal of chemical properties of arising aqueous vanadium(V)-citrate species in the requisite system. To this end, facile reactions led to dinuclear complexes (NH(4))(4)[V(2)O(4)(C(6)H(5)O(7))(2)].4H(2)O (1) and (NH(4))(6)[V(2)O(4)(C(6)H(4)O(7))(2)].6H(2)O (2). Complex 1 and 2 were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a=16.998(5) A, b=16.768(5) A, c=9.546(3) A, beta=105.22(1) degrees, V=2625(1) A(3), and Z=4. Complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1;, with a=9.795(4) A, b=9.942(4) A, c=9.126(3) A, alpha=90.32(1) degrees, beta=111.69(1) degrees, gamma=108.67(1) degrees, V=774.5(5) A(3), and Z=1. The structures of 1 and 2 were consistent with the presence of a V(V)(2)O(2) core, to which citrate ligands of differing protonation state were bound in a coordination mode consistent with past observations. Ultimately, the aqueous pH dependent transformations of a series of three dinuclear complexes, 1, 2 and (NH(4))(2)[V(2)O(4)(C(6)H(6)O(7))(2)].2H(2)O (3), all isolated at pH values from 3 to 7.5, were explored and revealed an important interconnection among all species. Collectively, pH emerged as a determining factor of structural attributes in all three complexes, with the adjoining acid-base chemistry unfolding around the stable V(V)(2)O(2) core. The results point to the participation of all three species in aqueous vanadium(V)-citrate speciation, and may relate the site-specific protonations-deprotonations on the dinuclear complexes to potential biological processes involving vanadium(V) and physiological ligand targets.  相似文献

Boc-beta-cyano-L-alanine-L-Pro-OBzl: C21H27O5N3, Mr = 401.46, orthorhombic, P2(1)2(1)2(1), a = 15.741(3), b = 21.060(3), c = 6.496(3) A, V = 2153(1) A3, dx = 1.24 g.cm-3, Z = 4, CuK alpha (lambda = 1.54178 A), F(000) = 856, 23 degrees, unique reflections (I greater than 3 sigma(I)) = 1573, R = 0.055, Rw = 0.078, S = 1.86. The tert.-butyloxycarbonyl (Boc) protected dipeptide benzyl ester (OBzl), Boc-L-Asn-L-Pro-OBzl, prepared from a mixed anhydride reaction using isobutylchloroformate, Boc-L-asparagine, and HCl.L-proline-OBzl, crystallized with one methanol per asymmetric unit in an extended conformation with the Asn-Pro peptide bond trans. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding occurs between the methanol and the Asn side chain and between the peptide backbone and the Asn side chain. A minor impurity due to the dehydration of the Asn side chain to a beta-CNala crystallized with a similar extended conformation and a single intermolecular hydrogen bond.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of dinuclear [M(II)(dbcat)(idpa)](2) (M[double bond]Zn (1), Cu (3); dbcat[double bond]3,5-di-tert-butylcatecholate; idpa[double bond]3,3'-iminobis(N,N-dimethylpropylamine)) complexes are described. Crystallographic characterization of the complex [Cu(II)(dbcat)(idpa)](2) has shown that the co-ordination geometry around copper(II) ions is distorted square pyramidal (triclinic, P-1, a=10.576(1) A, b=11.927(1) A, c=12.621(1) A, alpha=77.89(1) degrees, beta=88.65(1) degrees, gamma=70.21(1) degrees, V=1462.7(2) A(3), Z=2, R=0.0387). Both 1 and 3 were suitable catalysts for the catalytic oxidation of dbcatH(2) to dtbq (dtbq=3,5-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone) with dioxygen at ambient conditions in good yields. However, on the basis of kinetic studies the copper- and zinc-catalyzed reactions showed different mechanisms. In the first case valence tautomerism [Cu(II)(dbcat)(idpa)]<==>[Cu(I)(dbsq)(idpa)] precedes the reaction with O(2), while with the zinc complex metal-bound catecholate reacts directly with O(2) with the formation of free superoxide anion.  相似文献

Four imidazolate-bridged binuclear copper(II)-copper(II) and copper(II)-zinc(II) complexes viz., [(Bipy)(2)Cu-Im-Cu(Bipy)(2)](ClO(4))(3).CH(3)OH, [(Phen)(2)Cu-Im-Cu(Phen)(2)](BF(4))(3).2CH(3)OH, [(Bipy)(2)Cu-Im-Zn(Bipy)(2)](BF(4))(3), and [(Phen)(2)Cu-Im-Zn(Phen)(2)](BF(4))(3), (Bipy=2,2'-Bipyridyl, Phen=1-10-Phenanthroline and Im=imidazolate ion) were synthesized as a possible models for superoxide dismutase (SOD). Complex [(Bipy)(2)Cu-Im-Cu(Bipy)(2)](ClO(4))(3).CH(3)OH has been structurally characterized. This complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1, with the unit parameters a=8.88(5) A, b=13.79(17) A, c=20.18(18) A, alpha=76.424(8)(o), beta=85.888(6)(o), gamma=82.213(7). The metal-nitrogen bond length from 1.972-2.273 A and the distance Cu-Cu is 5.92 A. The five-coordinate geometry about the copper(II) ion is square pyramidal. Magnetic moment and electron paramagnetic resonance (e.p.r.) spectral measurements of the homobinuclear complexes have shown an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction. From the e.p.r. and UV-Vis spectral measurement studies, these complexes have been found to be stable (pH 8.5-10.5 for 1, 10.5 for 2,3 and 8.5 for 4). These complexes catalyse the dismutation of superoxide radical (O(2)(-)) at biological pH. All the observations indicate that these complexes act as good possible models for superoxide dismutase.  相似文献

2-Carboxylbenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (HL), and its three lanthanide (III) complexes, LnL(3) x 4H(2)O [Ln(III)=La, Sm, Eu], have been synthesized in water. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity and IR spectra. The crystal structure of [Sm(2)L(6)(CH(3)OH)(4)] x 7.5CH(3)OH x 0.5H(2)O obtained from methanol solution was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, crystallized in the triclinic system, space group P-1, Z=1, a=12.217 (2)A, b=14.706 (2)A, c=15.035 (2)A, alpha=111.84(1) degrees , beta=103.47(1) degrees , gamma=104.24(1) degrees , R(1)=0.0290. It has symmetrical (mu-OCO)(2), (mu-O)(2) and disamarium(III) units. The coordination geometry of each Sm(III) ion is a distorted tetradecahedron with nine oxygen atoms. In addition, the DNA-binding properties of the ligand and its complexes have been investigated by absorption, fluorescence, and viscosity measurements. The experimental results indicate that the ligand and the Sm-complex can bind to DNA, but the other two complexes cannot; the binding affinity of the Sm-complex is higher than that of the ligand and the intrinsic binding constant K(b) of the complex is 3.22 x 10(5)M(-1).  相似文献

4-Ketocyclophosphamide (4-keto CP), C7H12Cl2N2O3P, monoclinic, P2(1), a = 11.909 (2), b = 10.254 (1), c = 9.873 (1) A, beta = 91.08 (1) degrees, V = 1205.45 (3) A3 Z = 4, Dc = 1.51 Mg-m-3, Cu K alpha, lambda = 1.54178 A, alpha 25 = +53.8 degrees (c = 3.0, MeOH), m.p. 107 degrees C, mu = 61.8 cm-1, F (000) = 564, R = 0.064 for 2961 observed reflexions with I greater than 1.96 sigma(I). Dextrarotatory enantiomer of 4-keto CP has S configuration at the stereogenic center. One of the two crystallographically independent molecules is disordered both in a six-membered ring and in --N(CH2CH2Cl)2 moiety. With the exception of a less populated conformer of a disordered molecule, 4-keto CP molecules adopt a conformation in which 1,3,2-oxazophosphorinane ring is in the sofa form with C(6) deviating from the plane through the remaining five ring atoms while an exocyclic N atom with its three substituents is nearly coplanar with the phosphoryl oxygen atom O(8). In a less populated conformer, the six membered ring takes the form of sofa with C(5) as a flap while an exocyclic N atom and its substituents are oriented toward the P--N(3) bond.  相似文献

The structure of cadaverine dihydrochloride monohydrate has been determined by X-ray crystallography with the following features: NH3+ (CH2)5NH3+.2Cl-.H2O, formula weight 191.1, monoclinic, P2, a = 11.814(2)A, b = 4.517(2)A, c = 20.370(3)A, beta = 106.56 degrees (1): V = 1041.9(2)A3; lambda = 1.541A; mu = 53.41; T = 296 degrees; Z = 4, Dx = 1.218 g.cm-3, R = 0.101 for 1383 observed reflections. The crystal is highly pseudo-symmetric with 2 molecules of cadaverine, 4 chloride ions and 2 partially disordered water molecules present in the asymmetric unit. Though both the cadaverine molecules in the asymmetric unit have an all trans conformation, the carbon backbones are slightly bent. Between the concave surfaces of two bent cadaverine molecules exists water channels all along the short b axis. The water molecules present in the channels are partially disordered.  相似文献

Two Cu(II) complexes with cyanoguanidine (cnge) and o-phenanthroline, [Cu(o-phen)(2)(cnge)](NO(3))(2).2H(2)O (1) and [Cu(o-phen)(cnge)(H(2)O)(NO(3))(2)] (2), have been synthesized using different experimental techniques and characterized by elemental analyses, FTIR, diffuse and UV-vis spectra and EPR and magnetic moment measurements techniques. The crystal structures of both complexes were solved by X-ray diffraction methods. Complex (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a=12.621(5), b=31.968(3), c=15.39(1)A, beta=111.68(4) degrees, and Z=8 and complex (2) in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a=10.245(1), b=13.923(2), c=12.391(2)A, beta=98.07(1) degrees, and Z=4. The environments of the copper(II) center are trigonal bipyramidal (TBP) for [Cu(o-phen)(2)(cnge)](2+) and an elongated octahedron for [Cu(o-phen)(cnge)(H(2)O)(NO(3))(2)]. Solution studies have been performed to determine the species distribution. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of both complexes have also been tested in order to determine if these compounds mimic the enzymatic action of the enzyme SOD that protects cells against peroxide radicals.  相似文献

Compound 5 C(45)H(39)NO(3)SSn(2) is monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a=9.1148(2) A, b=29.2819(6), c=15.5556(4) A, beta=106.2851(9) degrees, Z=4. Complex 5 contains two [(C(6)H(5))(3)Sn(IV)] moieties linked by a double deprotonated 2-mercaptonicotinic acid (H(2)mna). Both tin(IV) ions are five coordinated. This complex is the an example of a pentacoordinated Ph(3)SnXY system with an axial-equatorial arrangement of the phenyl groups at Sn(1) atom. Compounds 1, 3 and 5 were tested for in vitro cytotoxicity against the cancer cell line of sarcoma cells (mesenchymal tissue) from the Wistar rat, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (benzo[a]pyrene) carcinogenesis. Compound 5 exhibits strong cytotoxic activity, while complexes 1 and 3 show less cytotoxic activity.  相似文献

The syntheses, characteristics of dinuclear macrocyclic polyamine zinc complexes and their interaction with plasmid DNA are reported. The two cyclen (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane) moieties are bridged by rigid and flexible linkages. The crystal structures of Zn2C27H43N8O15Cl4 [5c.(ClO4)3.2H2O] and Zn2C30H43N10O13Cl3 [5e.(ClO4)3.H2O] have been determined. The complexes crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c and P2(1)/c with the following unit cell parameters: 5c.(ClO4)3.2H2O: a=32.568(4)A, b=14.8593(17)A, c=19.443(2)A, alpha=90.00 degrees , beta=119.435(4) degrees , gamma=90.00 degrees , Dc=1.551 mg/m3, FW=956.71, F(000)=3932; 5e.(ClO4)3.H2O: a=15.807(2)A, b=16.756(2)A, c=16.161(2)A, alpha=90.00 degrees , beta=97.062(4) degrees , gamma=90.00 degrees , Dc=1.546 mg/m3, FW=988.83, F(000)=2032. The distance between the two Zn(II) ions is about 4.0 A. The structures show that two zinc ions can synergistically interact with the substrate DNA. With this novel structural characteristics, the dinuclear macrocyclic polyamine Zn(II) complexes via the synergetic effect between the two zinc ions can catalyze the cleavage of plasmid DNA (pUC18) with unprecedented speed at physiological conditions.  相似文献

In a systematic effort to identify and develop effective vanadocene(IV) complexes as a new class of contraceptive agents, the effect of methyl substitution in the cyclopentadienyl rings of Cpx2VCl2 on their spermicidal activity has been examined. The spermicidal activities of compounds Cpx2VCl2 [Cpx = Me5Cp (Cp*) (1), Cp (3), MeCp (Cp') (5)], as well as two of their corresponding vanadium(V) oxidation products Cp*V(O)Cl2 (2) and CpV(O)Cl2 (4), were examined by computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA). These analyses have established that penta-substitution of the Cp ring by electron-donating methyl groups augments the spermicidal activity 10-fold. The corresponding V(V) oxo compounds, Cp*V(O)Cl2 (2) and CpV(O)Cl2 (4), tested under identical conditions did not show as effective spermicidal activity even though these complexes have a pseudo-tetrahedral geometry similar to the active vanadocene(IV) dichlorides. Two pseudo-octahedral V(IV) complexes with tris-pyrazolyl borate as ligand, (HBpz3)V(O)Cl.DMF (6) and (HB(3,5-Me2pz)3)V(O)Cl.DMF (7), were also found to exhibit potent spermicidal activity. Although some vanadium(IV) complexes may immobilize sperm due to the generation of .OH radicals, the lack of spermicidal activity of VOSO4 which generates .OH radicals, and the potent spermicidal activity of [Cp2V(acac)][O3SCF3] (8), and [Cp2V(DeDtc)][O3SCF3] (9) which do not generate .OH radicals, indicate that .OH radical mediated reactions may not be essential for the spermicidal activity of vanadium(IV) complexes.  相似文献

Complex [Cu(dpq)(2)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (1), where dpq is dipyrido-[3,2-D:2',3'-f]-quinoxaline, has been prepared by reacting copper(II) perchlorate hexahydrate with dpq in methanol and structurally characterized. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1 with the unit cell parameters a=8.646(2) A, b=12.290(5) A, c=14.283(4) A, alpha=94.01(2) degrees, beta=91.69(2) degrees,gamma=101.60 (3) degrees, V=1481.7(8) A(3) and Z=2. The structure, refined to R=0.0505 and R(w)=0.1441 for 5212 reflections with I>2sigma (I) using 440 parameters, shows the presence of a CuN(4)O chromophore in an axially compressed distorted trigonal-bipyramidal structure. The Cu-N distances lie in the range 1.969(3)-2.103(3) A. The Cu-OH(2) distance is 2.145(3) A. The complex is one-electron paramagnetic and exhibits a visible spectral d-d band at 718 nm in MeCN. It shows a quasi-reversible cyclic voltammetric response at 0.091 V (DeltaE(p)=229 mV) at 50 mV s(-1) in MeCN-0.1 M TBAP for the Cu(II)/Cu(I) couple. In 50 mM Tris-HCl/0.1 M KCl buffer-DMF mixture (1:4 v/v, pH 7.2), the couple appears at 0.089 V versus SCE. The complex undergoes facile reduction with sodium ascorbate in an aqueous DMF mixture (4:1 v/v) to form an unstable brown Cu(I) species (lambda(max)=440 nm, epsilon=7480 M(-1) cm(-1)) which converts to 1 on exposure to air giving a turnover frequency of ca. 400. Binding studies revealed that 1 is an efficient binder to calf thymus DNA. Complex 1 on reaction with supercoiled (SC) DNA in presence of ascorbic acid in a 50 mM Tris-HCl/50 mM NaCl buffer (pH 7.2) shows nuclease activity which is 4.5 times greater than that of the phen analogue.  相似文献

The synthesis and X-ray structures of a half-sandwich Ru(II)p-cymene beta-diketonato complex as chlorido-, aqua-, 9-ethylguanine- and 9-ethyladenine-adducts are reported. Structural features which contribute to stabilisation of adducts through non-covalent, weak interactions are discussed. The X-ray crystal structure of the cytotoxic complex [(eta(6)-p-cym)Ru(Ph(2)acac)Cl] (1), where Ph(2)acac=1,3-diphenyl-1,3-propanedionate and p-cym=para-cymene, shows that the phenyl rings of the acac-type ligand form a hydrophobic face, conferring lipophilic character on the complex. The structure of the aqua adduct [(eta(6)-p-cym)Ru(Ph(2)acac)H(2)O]CF(3)SO(3).H(2)O.Et(2)O (4.H(2)O.Et(2)O), a possible activated species, possesses a comparatively short Ru-OH(2) bond. In the structure of [(eta(6)-p-cym)Ru(Ph(2)acac)9EtG-N7]CF(3)SO(3).2tol (5.2tol), where tol=toluene and 9EtG=9-ethylguanine, a comparatively long Ru-N7 bond is observed in addition to weak G CH8cdots, three dots, centeredO (Ph(2)acac) H-bonds. The crystal structure of [(eta(6)-p-cym)Ru(acac)9EtA-N7]PF(6) (6), where acac=acetylacetonate and 9EtA=9-ethyladenine, a rare example of a ruthenium complex containing monodentate adenine, shows a strong H-bonding interaction between N6Hcdots, three dots, centeredO(acac), which may contribute to the selectivity of {(eta(6)-p-cym)Ru(acac)}(+) towards adenine bases.  相似文献

The interaction of copper (II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II) with Trimethoprim (2,4-diamino-5-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidine) has been studied. The crystal structures of [Zn(Trim)2Cl2] (2) and [Cd(Trim)Cl2(CH3OH)]n (4) are reported. Compound (2) exhibits a distorted tetrahedral environment around the metal center and crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a=10.2397(6), b=10.4500(6), c=16.3336(16) A, alpha=96.141(8), beta=106.085(5), gamma=96.551(5) degrees and Z=2. In complex (4), the Cd(II) centers are bridged sequentially by two chlorine ions to form infinite chains and present a six-coordinated environment; the compound crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1)/C space group with a=13.958(5), b=7.532(2), c=18.390(2) A, alpha=90, beta=97.32(5), gamma=90 degrees and Z=4. In both structures the Trimethoprim acts as a monodentate ligand through the pyrimidinic nitrogen N(1) atom. The characterization of the Cu(Trim)2(CH3O)(ClO4) complex through EPR and magnetic measurements suggests a binuclear or polinuclear nature, with bridging methoxo groups. The complexes were screened for their activity against several bacteria, showing activity similar to that of trimethoprim.  相似文献

The synthetic peptide Gly-L-Ala-L-Val (C10H19N3O4.3H2O; GAV) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21, with a = 8.052(2), b = 6.032(2), c = 15.779(7) A, beta = 98.520(1) degree, V = 757.8 A3, Dx = 1.312 g cm-3, and Z = 2. The peptide Gly-L-Ala-L-Leu (C11H21N3O4.3H2O; GAL) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121, with a = 6.024(1), b = 8.171(1), c = 32.791(1) A, V = 1614 A3, Dx = 1.289 g cm-3, and Z = 4. Their crystal structures were solved by direct methods using the program SHELXS-86, and refined to an R index of 0.05 for 1489 reflections for GAV and to an R index of 0.05 for 1563 reflections for GAL. The tripeptides exist as a zwitterion in the crystal and assume a near alpha-helical backbone conformation with the following torsion angles: psi 1 = -150.7 degrees; phi 2, psi 2 = -68.7 degrees, -38.1 degrees; phi 3, psi 32 = -74.8 degrees, -44.9 degrees, 135.9 degrees for GAV; psi 1 = -150.3 degrees; phi 2, psi 2 = -67.7 degrees, -38.9 degrees; phi 3, psi 31, psi 32 = -72.2 degrees, -45.3 degrees, 137.5 degrees for GAL. Both the peptide units in both of the tripeptides show significant deviation from planarity [omega 1 = -171.3(6) degrees and omega 2 = -172.0(6) degrees for GAV; omega 1 = -171.9(5) degrees and omega 2 = -173.2(6) degrees for GAL]. The side-chain conformational angles chi 21 and chi 22 are -61.7(5) degrees and 175.7(5) degrees, respectively, for valine, and the side-chain conformations chi 12 and chi 23's are -68.5(5) degrees and (-78.4(6) degrees, 159.10(5) degrees) respectively, for leucine. Each of the tripeptide molecule is held in a near helical conformation by a water molecule that bridges the NH3+ and COO- groups, and acts as the fourth residue needed to complete the turn by forming two hydrogen bonds. Two other water molecules form intermolecular hydrogen bonds in stabilizing the helical structure so that the end result is a column of molecules that looks like an alpha-helix.  相似文献

It is noteworthy that the dehydro-Ala residue adopts an extended conformation that is different than those observed in dehydro-Phe, dehydro-Leu, and dehydro-Abu. The peptide N-Boc-L-Phe-dehydro-Ala-OCH3 (C18H24N2O5) was synthesized by the usual workup procedure and finally by converting N-Boc-L-Phe-L-Ser-OCH3 to N-Boc-L-Phe-dehydro-Ala- OCH3. It was crystallized from its solution in a methanol-water mixture at room temperature. The crystals belong to the monoclonic space group P2(1), with a = 9.577(1) A, b = 5.195(3) A, c = 19.563(3) A, beta = 94.67(5) degrees, V = 970.1(6) A3, Z = 2, dm = 1.201(5) Mg m-3, dc = 1.197(5) Mg m-3. The structure was determined using direct method procedures. It was refined by a full-matrix least-squares procedure to an R value of 0.048 for 1370 observed reflections. The C2 alpha-C2 beta distance is 1.327(8) A, while the bond angles N2-C2 alpha-C2' and C1'-N2-C2 alpha are 109.8(5) degrees and 127.8(5) degrees, respectively. The backbone adopts a nonspecific conformation with dehydro-Ala in a fully extended conformation with the following torsion angles: theta 1 = 175.2(4) degrees, omega 0 = 170.2(4) degrees, phi 1 = 135.8(5) degrees, psi 1 = -22.6(6) degrees, omega 1 = 168.5(5) degrees, phi 2 = -170.3(5) degrees, psi 2T = -178.6(5) degrees, theta T = 178.4(7) degrees. The rigid planar and trans conformation of dehydro-Ala forces Phe to adopt a strained conformation. The Boc group has a trans-trans conformation.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献
