SIX NEW SPECIES OF TINOCALLIS MATSUMURA AND A NEW SPECIES OF SINOTHERIOAPHIS ZHANG, GEN. NOV. FROM CHINA (APHIDOIDEA: CALLAPHIDIDAE)

This paper deals with 12 species of Callaphididae from China. Among them 7 species and a genus are described as new to science. All the types are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica. Tinocallis hemipteleae Zhang, sp. nov. (figs. 1—12) Allied to T. takachihoensis Higuchi, 1972, but forewing with pigment bordering the veins, with spots at apices of veins, and with apical 1/5 of Rs indistinct; 1st segment of all tarsi with 7 setae; 3rd antennal segment with 14—18 transversely elongate sensoria.     

SEVEN NEW SPECIES OF CHIGGER MITES FROM CHINA(ACARINA: TROMBICULIDAE)

A NEW GENUS AND SPECIES OF NOCTUIDAE FROM CHINA(LEPIDOPTERA)

In this paper, a new genus and species of Noetuidae are reported. Type specimenis kept in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica, Jingia, gen. nov. Proboscis fully developed; palpi obliquely porrect to just beyond frons, the 3rdjoint very short; frons with rounded prominence, with corneous plate below it; eyeslarge, rounded, naked; head and thorax elothed with hairs and few scales; fore tibiae     

FIVE NEW SPECIES AND A NEW RECORD OF THE GENUS KENYENTULUS(PROTURA:BERBERENTOMIDAE)

Seven species of Kenyentulus have been collected from Yunnan, Xizang(Tibet), Shanxi, Hebei and Henan Provinces since 1973. One of them, K.datongensis was described by Imadate and Yin in 1982, and the other six speciesare summerized as follows: 1. Kenyentulus monlongensis Yin, sp. nov. (Figs. 1-9 ) Total length 1090μ . Head 115 x 83μ;labial palp with 3 setae and a sensilla.Canal of maxillary gland with 2 dilatations along the proximal part,without terminal dilatation. Pseudoculus oval, about 12x 10μ, PR=9.6.     

SOME NEW SPECIES OF RHOPALOCERA IN CHINA. Ⅲ

In the present paper, 1 new genus, 3 new species and 1 new subspecies of Lycae-nidae are described. The specimens here dealt with were collected by entomologists during their expedi-tions to the Sinkiang Province in the years 1957-1960. DESCRIPTIONS OF FIVE NEW SPECIES OF MEGAPHRAGMA AND PARAMEGAPHRAGMA GEN. NOV. (HYMENOPTERA: TRICHOGRAMMATIDAE) FROM CHINA

This is the fourth part of a series of papers on Chinese Trichogrammatidae. 3 newspecies of the genus Megaphragma Timberlake and 2 new species of an allied new genusParamegaphragma (gen. nov.) are described. A key to 3 species of Megaphragma is pre-pared. All the type specimens are mounted on slides and deposited in the Biological con-trol Research Institute, Fujian Agricultural College.     

NEW ZONATION AND CORRELATION OF THE UPPER CAMBRIAN CHANGSHANIAN STAGE IN NORTH CHINA

Through a preliminary study of the Changshanian trilobites collected from the Taizihe Valley of Liaoning by the Taizihe stratigraphical team (Wang et al., 1954), from the Qingshuihe region of Nei Monggol by F. H. Chia and Q. L. Kao in 1952, and from the Kushan and Tai'an areas of Shandong by Lu and Dong (1953). 12 new genera and 17 new species are identified (pls. I—III), and six faunal zones and two subzones are established. They are as follows in descending order: VI. Zone with Acanthometopus obesus gen. et sp. nov. (P1. III, figs. 1—4):     

On the genus Eumyllocerus Sharp （Coleoptera： Curculionidae： Entiminae） with description of two new species from China

Two new species of the genus Eumyllocerus Sharp, 1896, of the subfamily Entiminae Schoenherr, 1823, are described from China. Eumyllocerus longisetus sp. n. may be distinguished from other species of the genus by its long bristle-like, erect setae on the intervals, each of which is longer than the width of the second interval, the setae arrangedin double rows, and its shell-like, shiny, dense, metallic green scales. Eumyllocerus rotundicorpus sp. n. may be distinguished from any other Eumyllocerus species by its oval and inflated elytral shape, short stout metepisternum, small humeri, elytral setae shorter than 0.5 times the width of the second interval, the setae arranged in double rows, and its golden copper and pearl gray scales. The taxonomy of the genus is discussed. The two new species are described and habitus photographs and figures of diagnostic characters are provided. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China (holotype and paratypes) and the Korean Entomological Institute, Korea University, Seoul, Korea (paratypes).     

SOME NEW SPECIES OF RHOPALOCERA IN CHINA,Ⅱ.

In the present paper, six new species and fourteen new subspecies of Chinese butter-flies belonging to 6 families and 16 genera are described. The butterflies here dealt with were collected by Chinese and Soviet entomologistsduring their joint expeditions to Southwest China (chiefly in S. and S.-W. Yunnan) in theyears 1955--1957. A New Species of Rhacophorus(Amphibia: Anura: Rhacophoridae)from Vietnam

We describe a new species of Rhacophorus based on two adult specimens collected from Hoa Binh Province, northern Vietnam. Rhacophorus hoabinhensis sp. nov. is distinguishable from its congeners on the basis of a combination of the following morphological characters: size small(SVL 31.1–32.5 mm in males); head slightly longer than wide; vomerine teeth absent; snout short(SNL/SVL 0.16); dorsal skin smooth; forearm and tarsus with dermal fringes; dermal appendage at vent present; webbing formula on fingers Ⅰ12/3-12/3 Ⅱ1-2 Ⅲ1-1 Ⅳ and on toes Ⅰ3/4-1 Ⅱ1/2-1Ⅲ1/2-1 Ⅳ1-1/2Ⅳ; dorsal surface grey yellow with brown spots; lower jaw region dark grey, throat, chest and belly cream; anterior and posterior thighs, as well as ventral surface of tibia orange. The interspecific uncorrected genetic distances(16 S rRNA gene) between the new species from Hoa Binh and other analyzed congeners varied from 9.8% to 17.4%. In the phylogenetic analyses, the new species revealed to be a representative of Rhacophorus and was nested within the R. hoanglienensis-orlovi species group.     

ON SOME NEW SPECIES AND NEW RECORDS OF TYPHLOCYBINAE FROM CHINA (Homoptera: Cicadellidae)

This paper is a report on Typhlocybinae collected and preserved by the Northwestern College of Agriculture. Among the studied specimens there are 18 species described as new to science and 28 species recorded for the first time from China. All type specimens are kept in the collection of that college.     

A NEW SPECIES OF LITHODIDAE (CRUSTACEA, ANOMURA) FROM EAST CHINA SEA

In this paper, a new species of Lithodidae is reported. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Hangzhou University and the Donghai Fisheries Research Institute. Diagnosis of the new species is given as below.     

NEW SPECIES AND NEW GENUS OF DELPHACIDAE FROM CHINA

The present paper deals with ten new species and one new genus of Delphacidae fromvarious parts of China. These type specimens are kept in the authors institutions re-spectively. 1. Stenocranus hongtiaus Kuoh sp. nov. (fig. 1) This species resembles S. matsumurai Metcalf, but may be separated by the body dis-tinctly smaller, the pronotum and mesonotum with two orge-red stripes, the form ofthe processes of the anal segment, and of the inner margin of the genital styles.     

A New Species of the Genus Rhabdophis Fitzinger, 1843(Squamata: Colubridae) in Southwestern Sichuan,China

The genus Rhabdophis is a group of widely distributed snakes with more than 20 species. Recent field surveys uncovered a species in southwestern China, which has long been considered as R. pentasupralabialis. Combined molecular and morphological analyses revealed it as a new species Rhabdophis chiwen sp. nov. Based on 12 specimens,this new species is distinguished by the following characters: 1) dorsal body saddlebrown, dorsal scales typically with black margins forming spots and stripes, the margin of the outer row forming two faint dorsolateral black cross-bars alongside body; 2) ventral scales 151–159,the outer margin of ventral scales and several lateral rows of dorsal scales forming ventrolateral longitudinal brownish-red coloration, with faint black spots in the middle of ventral scales; 3) a black oblique stripe present below eyes, often with a black spot between the 2 nd and 3 rd supralabial and a black stripe on the 5 th supralabial; 4)eyes dark khaki, pupils black; 5) infralabials usually 7, the first four in contact with anterior chin-shields; 6) temporal scales 1+1; 7) dorsal scales in 15 rows, feebly keeled except the outer 1–2 rows; 8) anal scale divided; subcaudals 45–59;9) preocular 1 and postoculars 3(occasionally 2); 10) body medium-sized(snout-vent length: adult males 404–431 mm,adult females 409–476 mm); 11) tail moderate(tail length/total length in adult males 0.205–0.238, in adult females0.172–0.193). With the discovery of this new species, the total number of species in genus Rhabdophis is 28 with 12 th species known to occur in China.     

FOUR NEW SPECIES OF HALTICHELLINI (HYMENOPTERA: CHALCIDIDAE) FROM CHINA

Two new species of Nipponohockeria Habu (first recorded in China) and two newspecies of Uga Kerrich are described and figured. The type specimens are deposited in the Laboratory of Biological Control, Department of Plant Protection, Zhejiang Agricultur-al University.
