A new species of Astragalus L., A. trabzonicus (section Onobrychoidei DC.), is described and illustrated from north‐east Anatolia in Turkey. The diagnostic, pollen morphological, and chromosomal characteristics are discussed. A distribution map and conservation status are given. © 2008 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 2008, 157 , 741–747.  相似文献

Centaurea amanosensis M. Bona, a new species of Asteraceae from Hatay province of Turkey is described and illustrated. It is morphologically similar to C. cheirolopha (Fenzl) Wagenitz, C. lycopifolia Boiss. & Kotschy ex Boiss. & Kotschy, and C. stevenii Bieb. (Section Pseudoseridia), but it differs mainly in life form, general habit, leaves and achene characters. The IUCN conservation status of Critically Endangered (CR) should be applied to C. amanosensis.  相似文献

In this paper, a new Centaurea L. (Asteraceae) species from Turkey is described and illustrated. Centaurea sakariyaensis Uysal & Dural grows on rocky crevices in Sakarya province in north-western Anatolia. It belongs to C. sect. Centaurea L. and taxonomically its closest relative is C. wiedemanniana. Diagnostic morphological characters from a very similar taxon are provided, and a key from flora of Turkey is modified that includes related species of sect. Centaurea. The geographical distribution of the new species and species of other related taxa of the same section are mapped. The chromosome number of C. sakariyaensis, 2n = 18, counted in root tips, is also reported and illustrated.  相似文献

Astragalus neo-assadianus (Fabaceae), a new species endemic to Iran, is described and illustrated. This species belongs to A. sect . Alopecuroidei and is distinct and interesting among the Iranian species. It is confined to the north-eastern part of Iran (Khorasan Province) and only known from a single collection close to the Turkmenistan frontier.  © 2003 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2003, 143 , 197–200.  相似文献

A new species, Klasea yunus-emrei B. Dogan, Ocak & A. Duran (Asteraceae), is described from central Anatolia, Turkey. The species grows on calcareous soils in the Alpu district (Eski¸ehir province) in central Anatolia. It is morphologically similar to Klasea lasiocephala (Bornm.) Greuter & Wagenitz. Diagnostic morphological characters from closely similar taxa are discussed and arranged in a key. Ecology, conservation status and biogeography of the species are also presented. The achene surface of K. yunus-emrei and K. lasiocephala are examined by Scanning Electron Microscope. In addition, the geographical distribution of the new species and other related species are mapped.  相似文献

Carex nodosa (Cyperaceae), a new species from Chongqing and Sichuan, southwest China, is described and illustrated. The new species resembles C. hebecarpa C. A. Mey., but differs in having sheath‐like bracts, 4.0–7.5 cm long male spikes, oblanceolate 7.1–8.6 mm long male scales, and perigynia that are glabrous except for ciliate beaks.  相似文献

Liosarcophaga (s. str.) bartaki sp. n. is described from Turkey based on four males collected at three locations in Western Turkey. A morphological study of the genitalia using light and scanning electron microscopy has been carried out. An original key to the 10 species of Liosarcophaga occurring in Turkey is given.

A new species Aspalathus abbottii C.H. Stirt. & Muasya, is described. The species is known only from Oribi Flats, KwaZulu-Natal, where it grows in grassland vegetation. The new species is characterised by its rigid spreading habit, densely and shortly villous branches, glabrous bracts and bracteoles, and 1(2) bright yellow flowers borne on short lateral shoots. It is most similar to other grassland species, A. frankenioides DC. and A. gerrardii H. Bol., all from the summer rainfall area of South Africa but differs in its rigid spreading habit, few bright yellow flowers per flowering branchlet, glabrous bracts and bracteoles, villous yellowish-green seasonal shoots, and its pale brown to tan over-seasonal branches with a blackish lattice of peeled bark.  相似文献
