A short review of main cytogenetic features of insects belonging to the sister neuropteran families Myrmeleontidae (antlions) and Ascalaphidae (owlflies) is presented, with a particular focus on their chromosome numbers and sex chromosome systems. Diploid male chromosome numbers are listed for 37 species, 21 genera from 9 subfamilies of the antlions as well as for seven species and five genera of the owlfly subfamily Ascalaphinae. The list includes data on five species whose karyotypes were studied in the present work. It is shown here that antlions and owlflies share a simple sex chromosome system XY/XX; a similar range of chromosome numbers, 2n = 14-26 and 2n = 18-22 respectively; and a peculiar distant pairing of sex chromosomes in male meiosis. Usually the karyotype is particularly stable within a genus but there are some exceptions in both families (in the genera Palpares and Libelloides respectively). The Myrmeleontidae and Ascalaphidae differ in their modal chromosome numbers. Most antlions exhibit 2n = 14 and 16, and Palparinae are the only subfamily characterized by higher numbers, 2n = 22, 24, and 26. The higher numbers, 2n = 20 and 22, are also found in owlflies. Since the Palparinae represent a basal phylogenetic lineage of the Myrmeleontidae, it is hypothesized that higher chromosome numbers are ancestral for antlions and were inherited from the common ancestor of Myrmeleontidae + Ascalaphidae. They were preserved in the Palparinae (Myrmeleontidae), but changed via chromosomal fusions toward lower numbers in other subfamilies.  相似文献

A series of cis-bis{5-[(E)-2-(aryl)-1-diazenyl]quinolinolato}di-n-butyltin(IV) complexes has been synthesized and characterized by 1H-, 13C-, 119Sn NMR, ESI-MS (electrospray ionization mass spectrometry), IR and 119mSn Mössbauer spectroscopic techniques in combination with elemental analyses. The structures of four di-n-butyltin(IV) complexes, viz., nBu2Sn(L3)2 (3), nBu2Sn(L4)2 (4), nBu2Sn(L5)2 (5) and nBu2Sn(L7)2 · 0.5C6H6 (7) (LH = 5-[(E)-2-(aryl)-1-diazenyl)quinolin-8-ol) were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In general, the complexes were found to adopt a distorted cis-octahedral arrangement around the tin atom. These complexes retain their solid-state structure in non-coordinating solvent as evidenced by 119Sn and 13C NMR spectroscopic results. The in vitro cytotoxicity of di-n-butyltin(IV) complexes (3-8) is reported against seven well characterized human tumour cell lines. The basicity of the two quinolinolato donor N and O atoms of the ligands are discussed in relation to the cytotoxicity data.  相似文献

In the present study, a series of new hybrid compounds containing chalcone and methanoisoindole units 7a-n ((3aR,4S,7R,7aS)-2-(4-((E)-3-(3-aryl)acryloyl) phenyl)-3a,4,7,7a-tetrahydro-1H-4,7-methanoisoindole-1,3(2H)-dione) were synthesized, characterized and investigated for their anticancer activity against C6 gliocarcinoma cell in rats, and antimicrobial activity against some human pathogen microorganisms. The compounds 7e, 7h, 7j, 7k, 7L and 7n showed very high anticancer activity with the inhibition range of 80.51–97.02% compared to 5-FU. Some of the compounds exhibited anti-microbial activity. Also, they evaluated for inhibition effects against human carbonic anhydrase I, and II isoenzymes (hCA I and II) with Ki values in the range of 405.26–635.68 pM for hCA I, and 245.40–489.60 pM for hCA II, respectively. These results demonstrated that 3aR,4S,7R,7aS)-2-(4-((E)-3-(3-aryl)acryloyl)phenyl)-3a,4,7,7a-tetrahydro-1H-4,7-methanoisoindole-1,3(2H)-dione derivatives could be used in different biomedical applications.  相似文献

Modification of the benzo rings of 3-(1,1-dioxo-2H-(1,2,4)-benzothiadiazin-3-yl)-4-hydroxy-2(1H)-quinolinones into heteroaromatic systems was investigated to enhance physicochemical properties and potency profile of this class of inhibitors. Bugs of the genus Lincus (Heteroptera : Pentatomidae) are attracted by volatile compounds emitted from the inflorescences of fertile palms. To define the basis of their chemical ecology, we have studied the metathoracic scent glands (MTG) of males and females of 2 species, L. spurcus and L. malevolus. The metathoracic scent gland system belongs to the diastomien type. The 2 glandular pores located between the mesothoracic and metathoracic coxae are associated with “crescent-like” evaporation areas. The large median reservoir, which is composed of one type of flattened pigmented epithelial cells, is flanked by multitubular lateral glands. These glands result from the apposition of 2 cell-type glandular units. The strip-like accessory gland is embedded in the reservoir wall. At its level, the thinner cuticular intima forms finger-like invaginations where a protein secretory product is secreted. Extracts of the volatile fraction of the metathoracic gland secretion were analyzed by capillary gas chromatography (GC) and by GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). These analyses exhibited a typical pentatomid MTG composition. The glands of L. spurcus and L. malevolus males and females contain 11 compounds: (E)-2-hexenal, 4-keto-(E)-2-hexenal, (E)-2-hexenoic acid, decane, (E)-2-octenal, undecene, undecane, (E)-2-octenly acetate, (E)-2-decenal, tridecane and (E)-2-decenyl acetate, including 3 major compounds, which represent 60–85% of the secretion in the 2 species: (E)-2-hexenal, (E)-2-octenal, and n-undecane. The 4-keto-(E)-2-hexenal is present only in the L. malevolus MTG, and represents 26% of its secretion. The female extracts of both species are characterized by the presence of (E)-2-hexenoic acid, which was detected in the male extracts as traces.  相似文献

Background

Mutations in LRRK2 are related to certain forms of Parkinson’s disease and, possibly, to the pathogenesis of Crohn’s disease. In both these diseases inflammatory processes participate in the pathogenic process. LRRK2 is expressed in lymphoid cells and, interestingly, Lrrk2 (-/-) mice were reported to develop more severe experimental colitis than their wild type (WT) controls. Here, we examined the possible involvement of LRRK2 in the pathogenesis of experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU), an animal model for human uveitis, by testing Lrrk2 (-/-) mice for their capacity to develop this experimental eye disease and related immune responses.

Methods

Lrrk2 (-/-) mice and their WT controls (C57Bl/6) were immunized with interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein (IRBP) and compared for their development of EAU, delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) by skin tests, production of cytokines in culture, and expression of interferon (IFN)-γ, interleukin (IL)-17 and FoxP3 by spleen cells, using flow cytometry. Peritoneal macrophages were examined for their production of cytokines/chemokines in culture following stimulation with LPS or the oligodeoxynucleotide CpG. The Lrrk2 (-/-) and WT mice were also compared for their response to bovine serum albumin (BSA).

Results

The Lrrk2 (-/-) mice developed lower levels of EAU, DTH responses and cytokine production by lymphocytes than did their WT controls. Intracellular expression of IFN-γ and IL-17, by spleen cells, and secretion of cytokines/chemokines by activated peritoneal macrophages of Lrrk2 (-/-) mice trended toward diminished levels, although variabilities were noted. The expression levels of FoxP3 by Lrrk2 (-/-) spleen cells, however, were similar to those seen in WT controls. Consistent with their low response to IRBP, Lrrk2 (-/-) mice responded to BSA less vigorously than their WT controls.

Conclusions

Lrrk2 deficiency in mice diminished the development of EAU and the related adaptive immune responses to IRBP as compared to the WT controls.  相似文献

The Apocynaceae–Asclepiadoideae are well known for their specialized floral morphologies and pollination systems and many species have distinct floral aromas. However, our knowledge on the chemistry of floral volatiles in this plant family is relatively limited although it has been suspected that floral scent plays a key function for pollinator attraction. This is the third paper in a series of papers reporting on the floral odours of Asclepiadoideae. Floral odours of eleven species from seven genera (Cibirhiza, Fockea, Gymnema, Hoya, Marsdenia, Stephanotis and Telosma) of early diverging taxa of Apocynaceae–Asclepiadoideae, and two species of Secamone (Apocynaceae–Secamonoideae) were collected using headspace sampling and then analyzed via GC–MS. We detected 151 compounds, of which 103 were identified. The vast majority of chemicals identified are common components in flower odour bouquets of angiosperms. However, striking was the high relative amount of acetoin (97.6%) in the flower scent of Cibirhiza albersiana. This compound has rarely been reported as a flower scent component and is more commonly found in fermentation odours. Bray–Curtis similarities and Nonmetric-Multidiminsional Scaling (NMDS) analyses showed that each of the species has a distinct odour pattern. This is mostly due to only twelve compounds which singly or in different combinations dominated the scent of the species: the benzenoids benzyl acetate, benzaldehyde, methyl benzoate, and 2-phenylethyl alcohol; the monoterpenoids (E)-ocimene, (Z)-ocimene, linalool, and eucalyptol; and the aliphatic compounds acetoin, and (E,Z)-2,6-nonadienal. The floral scent compositions are discussed in relation to tribal affiliations and their potential role for pollinator attraction, and are compared with the scent data available from other Asclepiadoideae species.  相似文献

3-(2-(Alkylthio)phenylazo)-2,4-pentanedione (HL), an O, N, S donor ligand, is used for the synthesis of Ni(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes. The spectroscopic (IR, UV-Vis, and NMR) data determine the structure. The single crystal X-ray diffraction measurement of [Ni(L)2] and [Pt(L)Cl] has confirmed the structures. Coulometric oxidation of [Ni(L)2] and EPR spectra thereof show formation of Ni(III) state. DFT computation has calculated the electronic configuration and has explained the spectral and redox properties of the complexes. The compounds are screened for their in vitro anti-bacterial activity using Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Bacillus subtilis UC564, Escherichia coli TG1, Staphylococcus aureus Bang25, Pseudomonas aeruginosa C/1/7, Salmonella typhi NCTC62, Salmonella paratyphi NCTC A2, Shigella dysenteriae 8NCTC599/52, Streptococcus faecalis S2, Vibrio cholerae DN7 and Mricococcus luteusAGD1). The minimum inhibitory concentration is determined for the compounds. The effect of the structure of the investigated compounds on the antibacterial activity is discussed.  相似文献

The syntheses, structures and magnetic properties of five new manganese (III) cyclam complexes, trans-[Mn(cyclam)(OH2)2](CF3SO3)3 · H2O, trans-[Mn(cyclam)I2]I, trans-[Mn(cyclam)(ONO)2]ClO4, trans-[Mn(cyclam)(OClO3)2]ClO4 and trans-[Mn(cyclam)(CH3COO)(CH3COOH)](ClO4)2, are reported. Cyclam is the tetradentate amine ligand 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane. The complexes all exhibit pronounced tetragonal elongation of the coordination octahedron with the four cyclam nitrogens occupying the four equatorial positions. The magnetic properties are consistent with the formulation of the complexes as high-spin d4 systems. trans-[Mn(cyclam)(OH2)2](CF3SO3)3 · H2O is shown to be a convenient starting material for the syntheses of trans cyclam complexes. [Mn(cyclam)(CH3COO)(CH3COOH)](ClO4)2 exhibits extremely short intermolecular hydrogen bonds resulting in a pseudo-chain structure. The tilt of the axial ligands with respect to the equatorial plane containing the manganese and the cyclam nitrogen atoms is discussed.  相似文献

A reaction of the octahedral bidentate metalloligand, trans(N)-[Co(d-pen)2] (d-pen=d-penicillaminate) with Cd(NO3)2 or Cd(ClO4)2 gave a novel S-bridged trinuclear complex, [Cd(H2O){Co(d-pen)2}2] (1). In this complex molecule, the central Cd atom is surrounded by four S atoms from two [Co(d-pen)2] units and one O atom of a H2O molecule to form a distorted five-coordinated geometry. Each of two terminal [Co(d-pen)2] units takes an approximately octahedral geometry and has a similar trans(N) geometry to that of the starting material. On the other hand, the reaction of trans(N)-[Co(d-pen)2] with CdCl2 in the molar ratio of 1:1 gave an S-bridged dinuclear complex, [CdCl{Co(d-pen)2}(H2O)mnH2O (m+n=4) (2). The reactivity of trans(N)-[Co(d-pen)2] toward CdCl2 is significantly influenced by the ratio of two components, and the formation of a similar trinuclear species to 1 is also suggested under the condition with excess amount of trans(N)-[Co(d-pen)2]. Some spectrochemical properties of these complexes are also discussed in relation to their structures.  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes of N,N′-dimethyl-N,N′-bis(pyridyl-2yl-methyl)ethylene-diamine (L1), N,N′-dimethyl-N,N′-bis(pyridyl-2-ylmethyl)-1,2-diaminopropane (L2) and N,N′-dimethyl-N,N′-bis(pyridyl-2-ylmethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane (L3) were prepared and their spectroscopic and redox properties studied. The distorted octahedral structure was determined for [NiL3ClCH3OH](ClO4) by using X-ray crystallography. The electronic spectral behavior of the complexes at different pHs was analyzed; it is shown that a new band grew at the expense of the other band intensity in acid media. The redox properties of ligands and their complexes show the peaks of Ni(II) → Ni(III) and Ni(II) → Ni(0) as these were detected at low concentration while Ni(II) → Ni(I) process was detectable clearly at high concentration. Furthermore, the interaction studies of 2-mercaptoethanesulfonic acid as a simulator of coenzyme M reductase (CoM) with NiN4 chromophores are discussed.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of the Schiff base ligands, 4-[(4-bromo-phenylimino)-methyl]-benzene-1,2,3-triol (A1), 4-[(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-phenylimino)-methyl]-benzene-1,2,3-triol (A2), 3-(p-tolylimino-methyl)-benzene-1,2-diol (A3), 3-[(4-bromo-phenylimino)-methyl]-benzene-1,2-diol (A4), and 4-[(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-phenylimino)-methyl]-benzene-1,3-diol (A5), and their Cd(II) and Cu(II) metal complexes, stability constants and potentiometric studies. The structure of the ligands and their complexes was investigated using elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectra, magnetic susceptibility and conductance measurements. In the complexes, all the ligands behave as bidentate ligands, the oxygen in the ortho position and azomethine nitrogen atoms of the ligands coordinate to the metal ions. The keto-enol tautomeric forms of the Schiff base ligands A1-A5 have been investigated in polar and non-polar organic solvents. Antimicrobial activity of the ligands and metal complexes were tested using the disc diffusion method and the strains Bacillus megaterium and Candida tropicalis.Protonation constants of the triol and diol Schiff bases and stability constants of their Cu2+ and Cd2+ complexes were determined by potentiometric titration method in 50% DMSO-water media at 25.00 ± 0.02 °C under nitrogen atmosphere and ionic strength of 0.1 M sodium perchlorate. It has been observed that all the Schiff base ligands titrated here have two protonation constants. The variation of protonation constant of these compounds was interpreted on the basis of structural effects associated with the substituents. The divalent metal ions of Cu2+ and Cd2+ form stable 1:2 complexes with Schiff bases.The Schiff base complexes of cadmium inhibit the intense chemiluminescence reaction in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solution between luminol and dioxygen in the presence of a strong base. This effect is significantly correlated with the stability constants KCdL of the complexes and the protonation constants KOH of the ligands; it also has a nonsignificant association with antibacterial activity.  相似文献

The development of novel leishmanicidal agents that are capable of being replaced by the available therapeutic options has become a priority. In the present study, the synthesis and leishmanicidal activity of a series of 5-(nitroheteroaryl-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives are described. All compounds appeared to be potent anti-leishmanial agents against both promastigote and amastigote forms of Leishmania major (L. major). Amongst the synthesized compounds, 2-([1,4′-bipiperidin]-1′-yl)-5-(5-nitrofuran-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole (IIa) and 1-(5-(1-methyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazole-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)-4-(piperidine-1-yl) piperidine (IIc) are the most effective. Infection index was statistically declined in the presence of all compounds. The analysis of redox-related factors revealed that exposure of L. major cells to IIa and IIc led to an increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS). Furthermore, two compounds were able to increase ROS and NO levels in infected macrophages in a dose-independent manner. In addition, we showed that these compounds induced cell death in promastigotes. Altogether, our results indicated the anti-leishmanial potential of IIa and IIc is mediated by apoptosis through an imbalance in the redox system resulting in the elevation of ROS. This new class of compound seems to hold great promise for the development of new and useful anti-leishmanial agents.  相似文献

Cricotopus ornatus was the predominant chironomid in meromictic, saline Waldsea Lake. Annual production of C. ornatus larvae in the mixolimnion was estimated to be 107 mg m-2 (dry weight) in 1974, 66.5 mg m-2 in 1975 and 69.5 mg m-2 in 1976. These estimates are similar to those for chironomids in Canadian arctic lakes and deep-water areas of the Great Lakes. Annual P/B ratios were 5.4 in 1974, 6.8 in 1975 and 6.8 in 1976. These ratios are in the middle of the range reported for chironomids. The major factors limiting chironomid production in Waldsea Lake appear to be: (1) restriction of the habitable zone because of meromixis with accompanying loss of mobile first and second instars that are swept out of the mixolimnion (2) the relatively narrow zone of good C. ornatus habitat, i.e. areas of dense macrophyte or benthic algal growth and (3) predation by nine-spine stickleback and damselfly naiads.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes of a series of linear pentadentate ligands containing two benzimidazoles, two thioether sulfurs and a amine nitrogen, viz. N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}amine(L1), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}N-methylamine (L2), 2,6-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}pyridine(L3), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}amine (L4), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}N-methylamine (L5) and 2,6-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}-3pyridine (L6) have been isolated and characterized by electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopy and cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Of these complexes, [Cu(L1)](BF4)2 (1) and [Cu(L2)](BF4)2 (4) have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The coordination geometries around copper(II) in 1 and 4 are described as trigonal bipyramidal distorted square based pyramidal geometry (TBDSBP). The distorted CuN3S basal plane in them is comprised of amine nitrogen, one thioether sulphur and two benzimidazole nitrogens and the other thioether sulfur is axially coordinated. The ligand field spectra of all the complexes are consistent with a mostly square-based geometry in solution. The EPR spectra of complexes [Cu(L1)](BF4)2 (1), [Cu(L1)](NO3)2 (2), [Cu(L2)](BF4)2 (4) and [Cu(L3)](ClO4)2 (6) are consistent with two species indicating the dissociation/disproportionation of the complex species in solution. All the complexes exhibit an intense CT band in the range 305-395 nm and show a quasireversible to irreversible CuII/CuI redox process with relatively positive E1/2 values, which are consistent with the presence of two-coordinated thioether groups. The addition of N-methylimidazole (mim) replaces the coordinated thioether ligands in solution, as revealed from the negative shift (222-403 mV) in the CuII/CuI redox potential. The present study reveals that the effect of incorporating an amine nitrogen donor into CuN2S2 complexes is to generate an axial copper(II)-thioether coordination and also to enforce lesser trigonality on the copper(II) coordination geometry.  相似文献

cis-[Co(ox)(tetb]ClO4 is readily isolated from the reaction between tetb (tetb = rac-Me6-cyclam = 5,5,7(R,S),12,12,14(R,S)-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) and K3Co(ox)3·3H2O in aqueous solution. Removal of the coordinated oxalato ligand by acid hydrolysis (with HCl/HClO4) results in the formation of α-trans-(RRRR,SSSS), [CoCl2{(SSeq,RReq)-tetb}]ClO4 with both six-membered rings in the twist conformation. The (RR)-(+)-tartrate (−2) ion coordinates enantioselectively with this isomer to give (–)-cis-[Co2{μ-(RR)-(+)-(tart)}{(RR)-tetb}2](ClO4)2 and this, in turn, reacts with HCl/HClO4 to give (–)-α-trans-(1S,4S,8S,11S)-[CoCl12{7Req,14Req)-tetb}]ClO4. The absolute configuration of the tetraamine obtained in the resolution procedure was established by synthesizing the α-trans-dichloro isomer using tetb of known absolute configuration.  相似文献

A series of hexadentate ligands, H2Lm (m = 1−4), [1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene]{2-[2-(2-{[1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene]amino}phenoxy)ethoxy]phenyl}amine (H2L1), [1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene]{2-[4-(2-{[1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene]amino}phenoxy)butoxy]phenyl}amine (H2L2), [1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene][2-({2-[(2-{[1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene]amino}phenyl)thio]ethyl}thio)phenyl]amine (H2L3) and [1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene][2-({4-[(2-{[1H-pyrrol-2-lmethylene]amino}phenyl)thio]butyl}thio) phenyl]amine (H2L4) were prepared by condensation reaction of pyrrol-2-carboxaldehyde with {2-[2-(2-aminophenoxy)ethoxy]phenyl}amine, {2-[4-(2-aminophenoxy)butoxy]phenyl}amine, [2-({2-[(2-aminophenyl)thio]ethyl}thio)phenyl]amine and [2-({4-[(2-aminophenyl)thio]butyl}thio)phenyl]amine respectively. Reaction of these ligands with nickel(II) and copper(II) acetate gave complexes of the form MLm (m = 1−4), and the synthesized ligands and their complexes have been characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques. The solid and solution states investigations show that the complexes are neutral. The molecular structures of NiL3 and CuL2, which have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, indicate that the NiL3 complex has a distorted octahedral coordination environment around the metal while the CuL2 complex has a seesaw coordination geometry. DFT calculations were used to analyse the electronic structure and simulation of the electronic absorption spectrum of the CuL2 complex using TDDFT gives results that are consistent with the measured spectroscopic behavior of the complex. Cyclic voltammetry indicates that all copper complexes are electrochemically inactive but the nickel complexes with softer thioethers are more easily oxidized than their oxygen analogs.  相似文献

Here, a partial skeleton of Prodeinotherium bavaricum from Unterzolling (Southern Germany) is documented. The following elements are preserved and described for the first time: cervical vertebrae 1-2 and 5-7, the first thoracic vertebra, one lumbar vertebra, trapezium, metacarpals 1-5, tibia, calcaneus, endo- and mesocuneiform, cuboid, the fourth metatarsal, and some phalanges. Comparisons with the skeletons of Pbavaricum from Franzensbad (Czech Republic) and Deinotherium giganteum from Eserovo (Bulgaria) show osteological differences that are described and discussed.  相似文献
