The genera Cneocnemis Gebien and Cenoscelis Wollaston in Saudi Arabia (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Ulomini)

Cneocnemis arabica sp. n. is described from western Saudi Arabia. The type locality lies disjunct from the large conjunct area of the Asian congeners, probably due to the lack of suitable habitats (?trees) in central and eastern Arabia. C. angustula (Fairmaire, 1893 Fairmaire, L. (1893): Contributions à la faune Indo-Chinoise. Coléoptères Hétéromères. Annales de la Société entomologique de France, 62, 19–38. [Google Scholar]) comb. n. from Indochina is transferred from Uloma to Cneocnemis. Additionally, the first records of Cenoscelis pulla (Erichson, 1843) from Saudi Arabia are listed. The species of Cenoscelis seem at least not to be restricted to arboreal habitats.     

中国隐毒甲属分类研究及四新种记述

记述中国隐毒甲属Cryphaeus Klug, 1833的4新种: 短角隐毒甲C. brevicornus sp. nov.,长角隐毒甲C. longicornus sp. nov.,短毛隐毒甲C. barbellatus sp. nov.和歪角隐毒甲C. obliquicornus sp .nov.。模式标本保存在河北大学博物馆。给出中国及部分周边地区已知种雄性和雌性检索表。     

Boromorphus saudicus sp. n., a new record of the genus from the Arabian Peninsula (Tenebrionidae: Pimeliinae: Boromorphini)

Boromophus saudicus sp. n. (subfamily Pimeliinae Latreille, 1802, tribe Boromorphini Skopin, 1978) is described from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Rawdhat Khorim, Riyadh Province). This finding represents the first record of the genus Boromorphus Wollaston, 1854 from the Arabian Peninsula. The species was collected from Acacia trees and from pitfall traps.     

Revision of the genera Hovadelium Ardoin and Mimolaena Ardoin (Coleoptera,Tenebrionidae, Laenini) from Madagascar,with remarks on tribal assignment

The genera Hovadelium Ardoin, 1961 and Mimolaena Ardoin, 1961, endemic in Madagascar, are revised and assigned to the tribe Laenini Seidlitz, 1896 (subfamily Lagriinae Latreille, 1825). New species: Hovadelium ardoinisp. n., Hovadelium bremerisp. n. and Mimolaena janakisp. n. An identification key is compiled for all taxa. Distribution of Hovadelium (5 species) and Mimolaena (3 species) is mapped. The congeners might be indicator species for the highly endangered mature forests in Madagascar.     

The ant genus Carebara Westwood in the Arabian Peninsula (Hymenoptera,Formicidae)

The ant genus Carebara of the Arabian Peninsula is revised. Carebara abuhurayri Sharaf & Aldawood, 2011 is synonymized under Carebara arabica Collingwood & van Harten, 2001. Carebara arabica is redescribed and a Neotype is fixed based on a specimen collected from southwestern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A new species, C. fayrouzae sp. n. is described from Saudi Arabia based on queens, major and minor workers. Keys to major and minor workers of the two Arabian Carebara species are given.     

基于防御腺特征的琵甲族属级阶元系统发育关系分析 (鞘翅目： 拟步甲科)

基于16属65种琵甲（含新记述7属）的防御腺特征, 探讨了琵甲族（鞘翅目： 拟步甲科）的属级系统发育关系。通过对这些种的防御腺着生位置、 形状、 长度、 宽度、 囊体间距、 囊壁厚度、 囊壁花纹、 囊壁褶皱等特征进行解剖测量和分析, 归纳出族、 属级特征。利用SPSS19.0和Hennig86（1.5版）两个软件对选定特征进行聚类分析和系统进化分析, 得出琵甲族16属的进化关系为：Prosodes>Blaptogonia>Tagonoides>Thaumatoblaps>Caenoblaps>Agnaptoria>Asidoblaps>Coelocnemodes>Dila>Gnaptor>Blaps>Pseudognaptorina> Nalepa>Belousovia>Gnaptorina>Itagonia。基于防御腺形态学数据的琵甲族系统发育分析结果将琵甲族16个属清楚地分开, 表明其在分类上具有重要价值。     

Review of the species of Paratenetus Spinola inhabiting America,north of Mexico (Coleoptera,Tenebrionidae)

The North American (north of Mexico) species of the tenebrionid genus Paratenetus Spinola are reviewed and a key is presented for their identification. Five species are recognized, P. gibbipennis Motschulsky, P. fuscus LeConte, P. punctatus Spinola and two sp. n., P. exutus [type locality: Tabusintac, Nova Scotia] and P. texanus [type locality: Port Isabel, Cameron County, Texas]. Two syn. n. are proposed: P. cribratus Motschulsky, 1868 with P. gibbipennis Motschulsky, 1868 and P. crinitus Fall, 1907 with P. fuscus LeConte, 1850. A lectotype is selected for Paratenetus punctatus Spinola. A type species is designated for Storthephora Mäklin, 1875 (Storthephora denticollis Mäklin, 1875).     

基于防御腺特征的中国刺甲族属级阶元系统发育分析（鞘翅目: 拟步甲科）

基于18个代表种的防御腺特征, 探讨了中国刺甲族(Platyscelidini)4个属的分类地位和系统发育关系。通过对防御腺的着生位置、形状及其长度和宽度、腺体间距及其表面花纹和皱褶等重要特征的分析, 归纳出属级和族级的防御腺特征。利用SPSS 13.0和Hennig 86（1.5）2个软件对所选定的防御腺特征分别进行聚类分析和进化分析, 两者结果均支持刺甲族现有分类体系的稳定性, 且后者提出刺甲族4属的系统发育关系为: （Myatis +Bioramix）+（Oodescelis + Platyscelis）     

Taxonomic Review of the Tribe Tenebrionini (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) in Korea

ABSTRACT The tribe Tenebrionini of Korean Tenebronidae is reviewed taxonomically. Five species, Encyalesthus violaceipennis (Marseul), Menephilus lucens Marseul, Neatus ventralis (Marseul), Tenebrio molitor Linné, Tenebrio obscurus Fabricius, are recognized in Korea. A key to diagnosis of the genera and species, and figures of these species are presented.     

Taxonomic Review of the Tribe Ulomini (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) in Korea

The tribe Ulomini of Korean Tenebrionidae is reviewed taxonomically. Korean Ulomini recorded to three genera and six species, Cneocnemis laminipes Gebien, Uloma marseuli Nakane, U. latimanus Kolbe, U. excisa Nakane, U. bonzica Marseul, Eutochia lateralis (Boheman). We have found that U. exciza was misidentified U. bonzica, and E. lateralis was not distributed in Korea as the result of this study. We confirm that two genera and four species are distributed in Korea. A key to diagnosis of the genera and species, and figures of these species are presented.     

The larvae of Gnaptorina felicitana and Agnaptoria amdoensis of the tribe Blaptini from China(Coleoptera:Tenebrionidae)

This paper describes the morphological data of the larvae of two species from the tribe Blaptini Leach,1815.The two species are Gnaptorina felicitana Reitter and Agnaptoria amdoensis G.Medvedev,whose larvae have not been reported up to now.In this paper,morphological characters,informations of specimen,and character figures of the two species' larvae are provided.A key to the two genera and the reported species is listed here.The larvae specimens are deposited in the Museum of Hebei University.

记述西藏贞琵甲属Agnaptoria Reitter2新种:黑头贞琵甲A.nigriceps,sp.nov.和单刷贞琵甲A.apicopilosa,sp.nov.。模式标本保存于河北大学博物馆。     

Taxonomic relationships between Pachycerus and Rhabdorrhynchus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Lixinae), with descriptions of two new species of Rhabdorrhynchus from the Arabian Peninsula

Taxonomic relationships between Rhabdorrhynchus and Pachycerus are discussed, and two new species of Rhabdorrhynchus are described: Rhabdorrhynchus sauditus (type locality: Saudi Arabia, As Shāqqah al Yamānīyah, 19°42'N, 40°48'E) and Rhabdorrhynchus emir (type locality: United Arab Emirates, Jebel Ali, 24°59'N, 55°43'E). Notes of the genus Chlorophila Semenow with descriptions of two new species from China (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Lagriinae: Lagriini: Statiriina)

The genus Chlorophila Semenow, 1891 is reviewed with all known eight species worldwide in this present paper. Two new species, Chlorophila carinadorsum sp. n. and Chlorophila longicornia sp. n. are described. Four known species are described again from freshly collected specimens. A Taxonomic Review of the Genus Platydema Laporte and Brulle in Korea (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae, Diaperinae)

Taxanomic review of Korean Platydema Laporte and Brulle of tribe Diaperini in Tenebrionidae is presented. Eight species including P. marseuli Lewis, 1894 recorded newly in Korea are described here. We provide a key to Korean species, diagnoses, lists of feeding fungi and photos for them.

对中国贞琵甲属Agnaptoria Reitter,1887进行了初步总结,描述西藏1新种：芒康贞琵甲Agnaptoria markama,sp．nov．,给出了贞琵甲属已知种检索表。模式标本保存于河北大学博物馆。     

Contribution to the Tribes Diaperini Doyen in Korea (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Diaperinae)

A taxonomic review of six genera of Korean Diaperini is presented. Seven species in Korea are described here. We provide a key to the Korean species and genera, diagnoses and photos for them.     

A new wild, pollinating bee species of the genus Tetraloniella from the Arabian Peninsula (Hymenoptera, Apidae)

A new species of the eucerine bee genus Tetraloniella Ashmead (Apinae: Eucerini) is described and figured from central Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Tetraloniella (Tetraloniella) persiciformissp. n. is distinguished on the basis of coloration, integumental sculpturing, male metafemoral structure, and male terminalia. A floral record of Pulicaria undulata (L.) C.A. Mey. (Compositae) is noted for some of the material. Females superficially resemble those of Tarsalia persica (Warncke) (Ancylaini) in overall coloration but can be distinguished by the typical generic and tribal characters.
