In the present study we characterized the capacity of zinc to protect lipids and proteins from Fe2+-initiated oxidative damage. The effects of zinc on lipid oxidation were investigated in liposomes composed of brain phosphatidylcholine (PC) and phosphatidylserine (PS) at a molar relationship of 60:40 (PC:PS, 60:40). Lipid oxidation was evaluated as the oxidation of cis-parinaric acid or as the formation of 2-thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS). Zinc protected liposomes from Fe2+ (2.5-50 microM)-supported lipid oxidation. However, zinc (50 microM) did not prevent the oxidative inactivation of glutamine synthetase and glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase when rat brain supernatants were oxidized in the presence of 5 microM Fe2+ and 0.5 mM H2O2. We also studied the interactions of zinc with epicatechin in the prevention of lipid oxidation in liposomes. The simultaneous addition of 0.5 microM epicatechin (EC) and 50 microM zinc increased the protection of liposomes from oxidation compared to that observed in the presence of zinc or EC separately. Zinc (50 microM) also protected liposomes from the stimulatory effect of aluminum on Fe2+-initiated lipid oxidation. Zinc could play an important role as an antioxidant in biological systems, replacing iron and other metals with pro-oxidant activity from binding sites and interacting with other components of the oxidant defense system.  相似文献

The identity of the physiological metal cofactor for human methionine aminopeptidase-2 (MetAP2) has not been established. To examine this question, we first investigated the effect of eight divalent metal ions, including Ca(2+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Fe(2+), Mg(2+), Mn(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+), on recombinant human methionine aminopeptidase apoenzymes in releasing N-terminal methionine from three peptide substrates: MAS, MGAQFSKT, and (3)H-MASK(biotin)G. The activity of MetAP2 on either MAS or MGAQFSKT was enhanced 15-25-fold by Co(2+) or Mn(2+) metal ions in a broad concentration range (1-1000 microM). In the presence of reduced glutathione to mimic the cellular environment, Co(2+) and Mn(2+) were also the best stimulators (approximately 30-fold) for MetAP2 enzyme activity. To determine which metal ion is physiologically relevant, we then tested inhibition of intracellular MetAP2 with synthetic inhibitors selective for MetAP2 with different metal cofactors. A-310840 below 10 microM did not inhibit the activity of MetAP2-Mn(2+) but was very potent against MetAP2 with other metal ions including Co(2+), Fe(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+) in the in vitro enzyme assays. In contrast, A-311263 inhibited MetAP2 with Mn(2+), as well as Co(2+), Fe(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+). In cell culture assays, A-310840 did not inhibit intracellular MetAP2 enzyme activity and did not inhibit cell proliferation despite its ability to permeate and accumulate in cytosol, while A-311263 inhibited both intracellular MetAP2 and proliferation in a similar concentration range, indicating cellular MetAP2 is functioning as a manganese enzyme but not as a cobalt, zinc, iron, or nickel enzyme. We conclude that MetAP2 is a manganese enzyme and that therapeutic MetAP2 inhibitors should inhibit MetAP2-Mn(2+).  相似文献

CaBP1 (calcium-binding protein 1) is a 19.4-kDa protein of the EF-hand superfamily that modulates the activity of Ca(2+) channels in the brain and retina. Here we present data from NMR, microcalorimetry, and other biophysical studies that characterize Ca(2+) binding, Mg(2+) binding, and structural properties of recombinant CaBP1 purified from Escherichia coli. Mg(2+) binds constitutively to CaBP1 at EF-1 with an apparent dissociation constant (K(d)) of 300 microm. Mg(2+) binding to CaBP1 is enthalpic (DeltaH = -3.725 kcal/mol) and promotes NMR spectral changes, indicative of a concerted Mg(2+)-induced conformational change. Ca(2+) binding to CaBP1 induces NMR spectral changes assigned to residues in EF-3 and EF-4, indicating localized Ca(2+)-induced conformational changes at these sites. Ca(2+) binds cooperatively to CaBP1 at EF-3 and EF-4 with an apparent K(d) of 2.5 microM and a Hill coefficient of 1.3. Ca(2+) binds to EF-1 with low affinity (K(d) >100 microM), and no Ca(2+) binding was detected at EF-2. In the absence of Mg(2+) and Ca(2+), CaBP1 forms a flexible molten globule-like structure. Mg(2+) and Ca(2+) induce distinct conformational changes resulting in protein dimerization and markedly increased folding stability. The unfolding temperatures are 53, 74, and 76 degrees C for apo-, Mg(2+)-bound, and Ca(2+)-bound CaBP1, respectively. Together, our results suggest that CaBP1 switches between structurally distinct Mg(2+)-bound and Ca(2+)-bound states in response to Ca(2+) signaling. Both conformational states may serve to modulate the activity of Ca(2+) channel targets.  相似文献

An analysis of the H(2)O(2)-induced breakdown and transformation of different keto-monosaccharides at physiological concentrations reveals that glycolate and other short-chained carbohydrates and organic acids are produced. Depletion of monosaccharides and glycolate synthesis occurs at increased rates as the length of the carbohydrate chain is decreased, and is significantly increased in the presence of trace amounts of Fe(2+) ions (10 microM). Rates of monosaccharide depletion (initial concentration of 3 mM) observed were up to 1.55 mmol h(-1) in the case of fructose, and 2.59 mmol h(-1) in the case of dihydroxyacetone, depending upon pH, H(2)O(2) concentration, temperature and the presence or absence of catalytic amounts of Fe(2+). Glycolate was produced by dihydroxyacetone cleavage at rates up to 0.45 mmol h(-1) in the absence, and up to 1.88 mmol h(-1) in the presence of Fe(2+) ions (pH 8). Besides glycolate, other sugars (ribose, glyceraldehyde, glucose), glucitol (sorbitol) and organic acids (formic and 2-oxogluconic acid) were produced in such H(2)O(2)-induced reactions with fructose or dihydroxyacetone. EPR measurements demonstrated the participation of the OH radical, especially at higher pH. Presence of metal ions at higher pH values, resulting in increased glycolate synthesis, was accompanied by enhanced hydroxyl radical generation. Observed changes in intensity of DEPMPO-OH signals recorded from dihydroxyacetone and fructose reactions demonstrate a strong correlation with changes in glycolate yield, suggesting that OH radical formation enhances glycolate synthesis. The results presented suggest that different mechanisms are responsible for the cleavage or other reactions (isomerisation, auto- or free-radical-mediated oxidation) of keto-monosaccharides depending of experimental conditions.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to further understand how changes in membrane organization can lead to higher rates of lipid oxidation. We previously demonstrated that Al(3+), Sc(3+), Ga(3+), Be(2+), Y(3+), and La(3+) promote lipid packing and lateral phase separation. Using the probe Laurdan, we evaluated in liposomes if the higher rigidity of the membrane caused by Al(3+) can alter membrane phase state and/or hydration, and the relation of this effect to Al(3+)-stimulated lipid oxidation. In liposomes of dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine and dimyristoyl phosphatidylserine, Al(3+) (10-100 microM) induced phase coexistence and displacement of T(m). In contrast, in liposomes of brain phosphatidylcholine and brain phosphatidylserine, Al(3+) (10-200 microM) did not affect membrane phase state but increased Laurdan generalized polarization (GP = -0. 04 and 0.09 in the absence and presence of 200 microM Al(3+), respectively). Sc(3+), Ga(3+), Be(2+), Y(3+), and La(3+) also increased GP values, with an effect equivalent to a decrease in membrane temperature between 10 and 20 degrees C. GP values in the presence of the cations were significantly correlated (r(2) = 0.98, P < 0.001) with their capacity to stimulate Fe(2+)-initiated lipid oxidation. Metal-promoted membrane dehydration did not correlate with ability to enhance lipid oxidation, indicating that dehydration of the phospholipid polar headgroup is not a mechanism involved in cation-mediated enhancement of Fe(2+)-initiated lipid oxidation. Results indicate that changes in membrane phospholipid phase state favoring the displacement to gel state can facilitate the propagation of lipid oxidation.  相似文献

Secondary transporters of citrate in complex with metal ions belong to the bacterial CitMHS family, about which little is known. The transport of metal-citrate complexes in Streptomyces coelicolor has been investigated. The best cofactor for citrate uptake in Streptomyces coelicolor is Fe(3+), but uptake was also noted for Ca(2+), Pb(2+), Ba(2+), and Mn(2+). Uptake was not observed with the Mg(2+), Ni(2+), or Co(2+) cofactor. The transportation of iron- and calcium-citrate makes these systems unique among the CitMHS family members reported to date. No complementary uptake akin to that observed for the CitH (Ca(2+), Ba(2+), Sr(2+)) and CitM (Mg(2+), Ni(2+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Zn(2+)) systems of Bacillus subtilis was noted. Competitive experiments using EGTA confirmed that metal-citrate complex formation promoted citrate uptake. Uptake of free citrate was not observed. The open reading frame postulated as being responsible for the metal-citrate transport observed in Streptomyces coelicolor was cloned and overexpressed in Escherichia coli strains with the primary Fe(3+)-citrate transport system (fecABCDE) removed. Functional expression was successful, with uptake of Ca(2+)-citrate, Fe(3+)-citrate, and Pb(2+)-citrate observed. No free-citrate transport was observed in IPTG (isopropyl-beta-d-thiogalactopyranoside)-induced or -uninduced E. coli. Metabolism of the Fe(3+)-citrate and Ca(2+)-citrate complexes, but not the Pb(2+)-citrate complex, was observed. Rationalization is based on the difference in metal-complex coordination upon binding of the metal by citrate.  相似文献

The autoxidation and monoamine oxidase (MAO)-mediated metabolism of dopamine (3-hydroxytyramine; DA) cause a continuous production of hydroxyl radical (*OH), which is further enhanced by the presence of iron (ferrous iron, Fe(2+) and ferric ion, Fe(3+)). The accumulation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in the presence of Fe(2+) appears to discard the involvement of the Fenton reaction in this process. It has been found that the presence of DA significantly reduces the formation of thiobarbituric acid reagent substances (TBARS), which under physiological conditions takes place in mitochondrial preparations. The presence of DA is also able to reduce TBARS formation in mitochondrial preparations even in the presence of iron (Fe(2+) and Fe(3+)). However, DA boosted the carbonyl content of mitochondrial proteins, which was further increased in the presence of iron (Fe(2+) and Fe(3+)). This latter effect is also accompanied by a significant reduction in thiol content of mitochondrial proteins. It has also been observed how the pre-incubation of mitochondria with pargyline, an acetylenic MAO inhibitor, reduces the production of *OH and increases the formation of TBARS. Although, the MAO-mediated metabolism of DA increases MAO-B activity, the presence of iron inhibits both MAO-A and MAO-B activities. Consequently, DA has been shown to be a double-edged sword, because it displays antioxidant properties in relation to both the Fenton reaction and lipid peroxidation and exhibits pro-oxidant properties by causing both generation *OH and oxidation of mitochondrial proteins. Evidently, these pro-oxidant properties of DA help explain the long-term side effects derived from l-DOPA treatment of Parkinson's disease and its exacerbation by the concomitant use of DA metabolism inhibitors.  相似文献

The effect of iron on the activity of the plasma membrane H(+)-ATPase (PMA) from corn root microsomal fraction (CRMF) was investigated. In the presence of either Fe(2+) or Fe(3+) (100-200 microM of FeSO(4) or FeCl(3), respectively), 80-90% inhibition of ATP hydrolysis by PMA was observed. Half-maximal inhibition was attained at 25 microM and 50 microM for Fe(2+) and Fe(3+), respectively. Inhibition of the ATPase activity was prevented in the presence of metal ion chelators such as EDTA, deferoxamine or o-phenanthroline in the incubation medium. However, preincubation of CRMF in the presence of 100 microM Fe(2+), but not with 100 microM Fe(3+), rendered the ATPase activity (measured in the presence of excess EDTA) irreversibly inhibited. Inhibition was also observed using a preparation further enriched in plasma membranes by gradient centrifugation. Addition of 0.5 mM ATP to the preincubation medium, either in the presence or in the absence of 5 mM MgCl(2), reduced the extent of irreversible inhibition of the H(+)-ATPase. Addition of 40 microM butylated hydroxytoluene and/or 5 mM dithiothreitol, or deoxygenation of the incubation medium by bubbling a stream of argon in the solution, also caused significant protection of the ATPase activity against irreversible inhibition by iron. Western blots of CRMF probed with a polyclonal antiserum against the yeast plasma membrane H(+)-ATPase showed a 100 kDa cross-reactive band, which disappeared in samples previously exposed to 500 microM Fe(2+). Interestingly, preservation of the 100 kDa band was observed when CRMF were exposed to Fe(2+) in the presence of either 5 mM dithiothreitol or 40 microM butylated hydroxytoluene. These results indicate that iron causes irreversible inhibition of the corn root plasma membrane H(+)-ATPase by oxidation of sulfhydryl groups of the enzyme following lipid peroxidation.  相似文献

The iron-dependent regulator (IdeR) protein in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and its better characterized homologue, the diphtheria toxin repressor (DtxR) from Corynebacterium diphtheriae, are iron-dependent regulatory proteins that control gene expression in response to iron availability in bacteria. IdeR regulates several genes required for iron uptake and storage including those involved in the synthesis of transition metal chelators called siderophores that are linked to the M. tuberculosis virulence. In this study, the metal ion and binding affinities for IdeR binding to an fxbA operator duplex DNA were estimated using fluorescence assays. The Fe(2+), Co(2+), and Ni(2+) affinities of the two metal ion binding sites in IdeR that are involved in the activation of the regulator DNA binding process in vitro were independently estimated. Binding to the two metal ion binding sites is apparently cooperative and the two affinities differ significantly. Occupation of the first metal ion binding site causes dimerization of IdeR, and the metal ion affinity is about 4 microM for Ni(2+) and much less for Fe(2+) and Co(2+). Binding of the second metal ion fully activates IdeR for binding to the fxbA operator. The equilibrium metal ion dissociation constants for IdeR-fxbA operator binding are approximately 9 microM for Fe(2+), 13 microM for Ni(2+), and 23 microM for Co(2+). Interestingly, the natural IdeR cofactor, Fe(2+), shows high affinities toward both binding sites. These results provide insight into the possible roles for each metal binding site in IdeR activation.  相似文献

To investigate whether resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound in red wine, affects the oxidation of human low density lipoprotein (LDL), LDL purified from normolipidemic subjects was subjected to Cu(2+)-induce and azo compound-initiated oxidative modification, with and without the addition of varying concentrations of resveratrol. Modification of LDL was assessed by the formation of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) and changes in the relative electrophoretic mobility (REM) of LDL on agarose gels. Resveratrol (50 microM) reduced TBARS and REM of LDL during Cu(2+)-induced oxidation by 70.5% and 42.3%, respectively (p < 0.01), and prolonged the lag phase associated with the oxidative modification of LDL by copper ion or azo compound. These in vitro results suggest that resveratrol may afford protection of LDL against oxidative damage resulting from exposure to various environmental challenges, possibly by acting as a free radical scavenger.  相似文献

The effects of lipid peroxidation on ADP-induced aggregation of washed rat platelets were examined using a oxygen-radical-generating system consisting of H2O2 and ferrous ion. Lipid peroxidation was assessed by measurement of thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS). Incubation of the platelets with various concentrations of H2O2 (2-10 mM) in the presence of 10 microM Fe2+ resulted in a decrease of the aggregating capacity and an increase of TBARS value, depending on the concentrations of H2O2. Addition of catalase (0.1 mg/ml) to the incubation medium containing 10 microM Fe2+ and 10 mM H2O2 effectively protected the aggregating capacity, but superoxide dismutase (0.1 mg/ml) did not protect H2O2/Fe(2+)-induced inhibition of the platelet aggregation. The results of kinetic studies on the platelet aggregation with varying ADP and Ca2+ concentrations suggested that treatment of the platelets with H2O2/Fe2+ causes decreases in the binding affinities of ADP and Ca2+ for the platelets. On the basis of these results, change in the aggregating capacity of the platelets by treatment with H2O2/Fe2+ is discussed in relation to lipid peroxidation.  相似文献

Ni(2+), a toxic and carcinogenic pollutant and one of the leading causes of contact dermatitis, is shown to inhibit neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) in a competitive, reversible manner with respect to the substrate l-arginine (K(i) = 30 +/- 4 microM). The IC(50) values were dependent on calmodulin (CaM) concentration, but proved independent of Ca(2+), tetrahydrobiopterin (BH(4)) and other essential cofactors. Ni(2+) also inhibited CaM-dependent cytochrome c reduction, NADPH oxidation, and H(2)O(2) production by nNOS. Overall, the action profile of Ni(2+) was suggestive of an unusual, double-acting inhibitor of nNOS affecting l-arginine-binding and Ca(2+)/CaM-dependent enzyme activation.  相似文献

Ca(2+) influx triggered by depletion of sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca(2+) stores [mediated via store-operated Ca(2+) channels (SOCC)] was characterized in enzymatically dissociated porcine airway smooth muscle (ASM) cells. When SR Ca(2+) was depleted by either 5 microM cyclopiazonic acid or 5 mM caffeine in the absence of extracellular Ca(2+), subsequent introduction of extracellular Ca(2+) further elevated [Ca(2+)](i). SOCC was insensitive to 1 microM nifedipine- or KCl-induced changes in membrane potential. However, preexposure of cells to 100 nM-1 mM La(3+) or Ni(2+) inhibited SOCC. Exposure to ACh increased Ca(2+) influx both in the presence and absence of a depleted SR. Inhibition of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP)-induced SR Ca(2+) release by 20 microM xestospongin D inhibited SOCC, whereas ACh-induced IP(3) production by 5 microM U-73122 had no effect. Inhibition of Ca(2+) release through ryanodine receptors (RyR) by 100 microM ryanodine also prevented Ca(2+) influx via SOCC. Qualitatively similar characteristics of SOCC-mediated Ca(2+) influx were observed with cyclopiazonic acid- vs. caffeine-induced SR Ca(2+) depletion. These data demonstrate that a Ni(2+)/La(3+)-sensitive Ca(2+) influx via SOCC in porcine ASM cells involves SR Ca(2+) release through both IP(3) and RyR channels. Additional regulation of Ca(2+) influx by agonist may be related to a receptor-operated, noncapacitative mechanism.  相似文献

Lipid peroxidation in phosphatidylcholine liposomes induced by Fe(3+) alone, assessed by thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS) production, was markedly enhanced as the solution pH was lowered from 7.4 to 5.5. On the other hand, at physiological pH, TBARS production by Fe(3+) was almost negligible. Results of the radical scavenger experiments with superoxide dismutase, catalase and hydroxyl radical ((&z.rad;)OH) scavengers (sodium benzoate, mannitol and dimethylthiourea), deoxyribose degradation and ESR spectrometry suggest that the stimulation of Fe(3+)-dependent lipid peroxidation under acidic conditions is involved in generation of superoxide anion (O(2)(&z.rad;-)), hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) and (&z.rad;)OH during the reaction. The stimulation of Fe(3+)-dependent TBARS production by increasing the [H(+)] completely disappeared by triphenylphosphine (TPP) treatment of the liposomes, but the reaction was reversible with either incorporation of cumen hydroperoxide (CumOOH) into the TPP-treated liposomes or the addition of CumOOH to the treated liposomes. Incubation of the CumOOH-incorporated TPP-treated liposomes with Fe(3+) at pH 5.5 also resulted in (&z.rad;)OH generation. Based on these results, a possible mechanism of stimulatory effect of Fe(3+) on lipid peroxidation under acidic conditions is discussed.  相似文献

Under physiological conditions, small amounts of free arachidonic acid (AA) are released from membrane phospholipids, and cyclooxygenase (COX) and acyl-CoA synthetase (ACS) competitively act on this fatty acid to form prostaglandins (PGs) and arachidonoyl-CoA (AA-CoA). In the present study, we investigated the effects of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 15-hydroperoxyeicosapentaenoic acid (15-HPEPE) on the PG and AA-CoA formations from high and low concentrations of AA (60 and 5 microM) in rabbit kidney medulla microsomes. The kidney medulla microsomes were incubated with 60 or 5 microM [(14)C]-AA in 0.1M Tris/HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing cofactors of COX (reduced glutathione and hydroquinone) and cofactors of ACS (ATP, MgCl(2) and CoA). After incubation, PG (as total PGs), AA-CoA and residual AA were separated by selective extraction using petroleum ether and ethyl acetate. EPA reduced the PG and AA-CoA formations from both 60 and 5 microM AA. In contrast, 15-HPEPE decreased the PG formation without affecting the AA-CoA formation from 60 microM AA, and increased the AA-CoA formation at the expense of PG formation when 5 microM AA was used as substrate concentration. The experiments utilizing Fe(2+) and an electron spin resonance (ESR) revealed that 15-HPEPE elicits these effects in the form of hydroperoxy adduct. These results suggest that 15-HPEPE, but not EPA, has the potential to shift AA away from COX pathway into ACS pathway at low substrate concentration (close to the physiological concentration of AA).  相似文献

Two types of voltage-dependent Ca(2+) channels have been identified in heart: high (I(CaL)) and low (I(CaT)) voltage-activated Ca(2+) channels. In guinea pig ventricular myocytes, low voltage-activated inward current consists of I(CaT) and a tetrodotoxin (TTX)-sensitive I(Ca) component (I(Ca(TTX))). In this study, we reexamined the nature of low-threshold I(Ca) in dog atrium, as well as whether it is affected by Na(+) channel toxins. Ca(2+) currents were recorded using the whole-cell patch clamp technique. In the absence of external Na(+), a transient inward current activated near -50 mV, peaked at -30 mV, and reversed around +40 mV (HP = -90 mV). It was unaffected by 30 microM TTX or micromolar concentrations of external Na(+), but was inhibited by 50 microM Ni(2+) (by approximately 90%) or 5 microM mibefradil (by approximately 50%), consistent with the reported properties of I(CaT). Addition of 30 microM TTX in the presence of Ni(2+) increased the current approximately fourfold (41% of control), and shifted the dose-response curve of Ni(2+) block to the right (IC(50) from 7.6 to 30 microM). Saxitoxin (STX) at 1 microM abolished the current left in 50 microM Ni(2+). In the absence of Ni(2+), STX potently blocked I(CaT) (EC(50) = 185 nM) and modestly reduced I(CaL) (EC(50) = 1.6 microM). While TTX produced no direct effect on I(CaT) elicited by expression of hCa(V)3.1 and hCa(V)3.2 in HEK-293 cells, it significantly attenuated the block of this current by Ni(2+) (IC(50) increased to 550 microM Ni(2+) for Ca(V)3.1 and 15 microM Ni(2+) for Ca(V)3.2); in contrast, 30 microM TTX directly inhibited hCa(V)3.3-induced I(CaT) and the addition of 750 microM Ni(2+) to the TTX-containing medium led to greater block of the current that was not significantly different than that produced by Ni(2+) alone. 1 microM STX directly inhibited Ca(V)3.1-, Ca(V)3.2-, and Ca(V)3.3-mediated I(CaT) but did not enhance the ability of Ni(2+) to block these currents. These findings provide important new implications for our understanding of structure-function relationships of I(CaT) in heart, and further extend the hypothesis of a parallel evolution of Na(+) and Ca(2+) channels from an ancestor with common structural motifs.  相似文献

Multi-substituted benzylidenethiazolidine-2,4-diones 3a-h were synthesized by Knoevenagel condensation of di- or tri-substituted 4-hydroxybenzaldehydes [or 1-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone] 1 with thiazolidine-2,4-dione (2) and evaluated for antioxidant activities of Cu(2+)-induced oxidation of human low-density lipoproteins (LDL). Among compounds 3a-h, 3a was superior to probucol in LDL-antioxidant activities and found to be ninefold more active than probucol. Due to its potency, compound 3a was tested for complementary in vitro investigations, such as TBARS assay (IC(50) = 0.1 microM), lag time (240 min at 1.5 microM), relative electrophoretic mobility (REM) of ox-LDL (inhibition of 83% at 10 microM), fragmentation of apoB-100 (inhibition of 61% at 5 microM), and radical DPPH scavenging activity on copper-mediated LDL oxidation. In macrophage-mediated LDL oxidation, the TBARS formation was also inhibited by compound 3a.  相似文献
