Several bioimpedance techniques have been developed for noninvasive monitoring of reproductive events occurring in cyclic gilts and sows. Our objective was to compare the changes of vaginal and vestibular impedance during the porcine estrous cycle (experiment 1). In addition, we examined the causes of impedance variations in the vaginal vestibule during periestrus (experiment 2). The vaginal and vestibular impedance were measured with specially designed instruments. Sows were monitored for estrus via exposure to a sexually mature boar. The impedance in the vagina decreased gradually after weaning (P<0.01) reaching its nadir 2 days before estrus and increased during estrus to near maximum 2 days after estrus onset (P<0.01). The vaginal impedance during diestrus reached approximately the same level as on the weaning day. In contrast, the impedance in the vaginal vestibule increased gradually after weaning, then markedly during estrus (P<0.01) reaching its maximum 2 days after the onset of estrus followed by an abrupt decrease during early diestrus (P<0.01). The vestibular impedance after early diestrus reached almost the same level as before estrus. A significant negative correlation was found between the vaginal impedance in proestrus and vestibular impedance in periestrus. In experiment 2, interaction of the interval from weaning to estrus and parity significantly influenced the vestibular impedance in periestrus. The breed of sows did not affect the impedance in the vaginal vestibule through the whole experiment. From the present study we conclude that closely related inverse changes of the vaginal and vestibular impedance take place in pigs during the estrous cycle.  相似文献

Gonadectomy not only affects hormonal homeostasis but also alters the turnover of different components of the extracellular matrix in urogenital tissues. Collagen is an important component of the bladder and urethral walls and thus crucial for the mechanical properties of normal lower urinary tract (LUT) functions. This study aimed at investigating the possibility of differences in the proportion of collagen and muscle tissues in the LUT of intact and gonadectomised male and female dogs. Twenty clinically healthy dogs were used including 10 sexually intact dogs (5 males, 5 anoestrus females) and 10 gonadectomised dogs (4 males and 6 females). Four regions of the LUT, i.e. body and neck of the bladder as well as proximal and distal urethra were collected. The tissue sections were stained with Masson's Trichrome. Quantitative evaluation of the blue-stained area for collagen and red-counterstained area for muscle was performed using colour image analysis. The relative proportion of collagen and muscle significantly differed with the gonadal status, the gender and the region. Overall, gonadectomised dogs had a higher (P < 0.001) proportion of collagen and consequently a lower (P < 0.001) proportion of muscle than intact dogs. Regardless of gonadal statuses, females had a higher (P < 0.05) proportion of collagen and a lower (P < 0.05) proportion of muscle tissues than males. Gender differences were found in all four regions of the LUT in intact dogs but only in proximal urethra in gonadectomised dogs where spayed females had a higher (P < 0.05) proportion of collagen and less muscle (P < 0.05). Regional differences were observed in females; a higher proportion of collagen and therefore less muscle were found in the urethra compared with the bladder. Proportional differences in collagen and muscle between intact and gonadectomised animals suggest a relation of different hormonal statuses to structural changes in the canine LUT. Excessive collagen deposits and less muscular volume may impair structural and functional integrity of the LUT which may associate with the development of post-neutering urinary incontinence in the dog.  相似文献

The epithelium of the mammalian vagina arises from two distinct germ layers, endoderm from the urogenital sinus and mesoderm from the Müllerian ducts. While neonatal vaginal epithelium can be induced to form prostate which is normally an endodermal derivative, it has not been determined whether this ability to form prostate is shared by both mesoderm- and endoderm-derived vaginal epithelia. To test the competence of vaginal epithelia we have isolated sinus-derived and Müllerian-derived vaginal epithelia from newborn mice, combined them with rat urogenital sinus mesenchyme, and grown the tissue recombinants for 4 weeks in male athymic nude mice. Endoderm-derived sinus vaginal epithelium was induced to form prostatic tissue which expressed prostate-specific secretory proteins in 21 of 23 tissue recombinants. Müllerian-derived vaginal epithelium formed small ducts and cysts lined by a simple epithelium. These latter tissue recombinants lacked any evidence of prostatic secretory proteins. Similarly, endoderm-derived urethral epithelium was induced to form prostate (17 of 17 cases), while mesoderm-derived uterine epithelium was not (0 of 13 cases). Therefore, the ability to form prostatic epithelium was limited to endodermal derivatives of the urogenital tract.  相似文献

The changes of the electrical impedance in the vaginal vestibule during the oestrous cycle and the influence of sow parity on the vestibular impedance in oestrus were examined. Primiparous and multiparous sows of the Large White breed were used. Oestrus was tested via exposure of sows to a sexually mature boar. The criterion for conformation of ovulation was the increase in plasma progesterone levels above 12.5nmoll(-1) on day 8 and 12 after oestrus onset. A two-terminal method was used to measure the impedance. The vestibular impedance rose slightly in the first day after weaning. The impedance increased markedly during oestrus (P<0.01) and decreased during early dioestrus (P<0.01). No significant changes were observed thereafter. The individual sows reached the peak of vestibular impedance between 1 and 3 days after oestrus onset. The parity of sows did not significantly influence the impedance values during oestrus. The study showed that the impedance changes in the vaginal vestibule during peri-oestrus are considerably different from those described earlier in the vagina and that sow parity does not affect the vestibular impedance in oestrus.  相似文献

Vaginoscopy is a useful diagnostic procedure for evaluating the nature and extent of disease in the vestibule and vagina of female dogs. Using flexible or rigid endoscopes improves the operator's capability to detect disease because of improved illumination and magnification while facilitating vaginal distension. The size of the scope should be appropriate for the size of the patient. Although a variety of positions are suitable, we place anesthetized dogs in dorsal recumbency to minimize inadvertent contamination of the operative field with feces. If the urinary tract will also be examined, evaluate the urethra and urinary bladder first and then the vagina. After the reproductive tract is examined, tissue biopsies can be obtained for microscopic evaluation.  相似文献

Several surgical techniques have been proposed for the treatment of urovagina as a major cause of infertility in cows. However, so far no technique seems to be successful in all cases. Given that an incompetent or damaged constrictor vestibuli muscle is a feature of cows with urovagina, we hypothesized that surgical correction of urovagina by cerclage of the vestibulovaginal junction under the vaginal wall cranial to the urethral opening would prevent cranial flow of urine and improve fertility. Our study was performed on 39 non-pregnant lactating Holstein-Friesian cows suffering urovagina, with a vaginal content of urine exceeding 100mL and with evident incompetence of the constrictor vestibuli muscle. Cows were randomly assigned to a Control (untreated cows, n=20) or Experimental (n=19) group. An encircling polydioxanone suture was placed in the vaginal wall at the vestibulovaginal junction to create a vestibulovaginal cerclage in the Experimental cows. Surgery was observed to resolve urovagina in 17 (89.5%) of the 19 treated cows. Pregnancy was recorded in 7/20 (35%) and 14/19 (74%) cows in the Control and Experimental groups, respectively. Using logistic regression procedures and based on the odds ratio, we determined that cows undergoing surgical correction of urovagina were 5.2 times more likely to become pregnant than untreated cows (P=0.015). Our results suggest that vestibulovaginal junction cerclage prevents the cranial flow of urine and improves the function of the constrictor vestibuli muscle in cows suffering urovagina. They also indicate that, under these conditions, urovagina correction may dramatically increase fertility.  相似文献

Weight, RNA, DNA and protein content of the oviduct, vaginal cul-de-sac, lateral vagina and urogenital sinus and oestradiol and progesterone cytosol receptor concentrations in vaginal cul-de-sac, lateral vagina and urogenital sinus were examined after administration of oestradiol to ovariectomized animals and on days 0, 5, 9 and 13 of the non-pregnant cycle and on day 13 of the pregnant cycle. In ovariectomized animals, oestradiol induced an increase in weight, RNA:DNA and protein:DNA ratios and a decrease in DNA:tissue weight ratio for each organ and in addition an increase in total DNA in vaginal cul-de-sac and urogenital sinus. There was no effect of oestradiol on oestradiol cytosol receptor concentration but there was a significant increase in progesterone cytosol receptor concentration in all organs that were examined. During the oestrous cycle, changes in the wet weight of each organ showed a common pattern with maximum weight at day 0 followed by variable rates of decline until day 13. In oviduct and vaginal cul-de-sac, the decrease in weight was paralleled by a decrease in RNA:DNA and protein:DNA ratios whereas the DNA: tissue weight ratio showed the opposite pattern and total DNA remained unchanged. The changes in the lateral vagina and urogenital sinus were similar except that a significant decline in total DNA was also seen after day 0 and the DNA:tissue weight and protein:DNA ratios in the urogenital sinus and the lateral vagina respectively showed no significant changes. Progesterone cytosol receptor concentration in the lateral vagina and urogenital sinus were high on day 0 and then declined until day 13. In contrast, there were no consistent effects on oestradiol receptor concentration.  相似文献

The effect of prenatal administration of ethinyl estradiol (EE) on the vaginal epithelium of adult mice was examined histologically. The mice were the offspring of JCL/ICR strain mice given orally 0.02 mg/kg body weight/day or 0.01 mg/kg/day of EE dissolved in olive oil from day 11 to day 17 of gestation at a stage when the urogenital sinus has just appeared in the embryos. The control mice were offspring of those fed with the vehicle alone. Autopsies were performed at 10 to 14 weeks of age. Another group of mice exposed to 0.02 mg/kg/day of EE or vehicle alone in utero, were spayed at 16 weeks of age and killed at 32 weeks of age. In the experimental nonspayed mice, hyperplasia of the vaginal epithelium with intense cornification was seen. The epithelium was significantly thicker than in the controls and showed an EE dose-response relation. One of the 16 mice exposed to 0.01 mg/kg/day of EE in utero had cystic or gland-like structures in the stroma and mucus-secreting cells in the surface epithelium consisting of columnar cells. In some experimental spayed mice, vaginal hyperplasia with cornified epithelium and hypertrophy of the ovarian interstitial tissue without corpus luteum were seen. These results indicate that EE can cross fetal membranes and affect undifferentiated cells in the urogenital sinus and/or Müllerian epithelium.  相似文献

Vaginal delivery of children causes traumatic injury to tissues of the pelvic floor and is correlated with stress urinary incontinence; however, the exact mechanism of organ and tissue injury leading to incontinence development is unknown. The purpose of this project was to test the hypothesis that vaginal distension results in decreased blood flow to, and hypoxia of, the urogenital organs responsible for continence, which would suggest an ischemic and/or reperfusion mechanism of injury. Thirteen female rats underwent vaginal distension for 1 h. Thirteen age-matched rats were sham-distended controls. Blood flow to the bladder, urethra, and vagina were determined using a microsphere technique. Hypoxia of these organs was determined by immunohistochemistry. Blood flow to all three organs was significantly decreased just before release of vaginal distension. Bladder blood flow decreased further immediately after release of vaginal distension and continued to be significantly decreased 15 min after the release. Blood flow to both the urethra and vagina tripled immediately after release, inducing a rapid return to normal values. Vaginal distension resulted in extensive smooth muscle hypoxia of the bladder, as well as extensive hypoxia of the vaginal epithelium and urethral hypoxia. Bladders from sham-distended rats demonstrated urothelial hypoxia as well as focal hypoxic areas of the detrusor muscle. We have clearly demonstrated that vaginal distension results in decreased blood flow to, and hypoxia of, the bladder, urethra, and vagina, supportive of hypoxic injury as a possible mechanism of injury leading to stress urinary incontinence.  相似文献

Morphological and quantitative studies were made on serotonin-containing paraneurons throughout the lower urinary tract in male and female dogs. Using an anti-serotonin antiserum, the cells were consistently demonstrated to be dispersed in the epithelium from the vesico-urethral junction to the external urethral ostium. They occurred most frequently in the urethra proximal to the urogenital diaphragm in both sexes. The total number of the serotonin-immunoreactive cells in the urethra was estimated to be 36.2 X 10(4) (SD 9.9 X 10(4] in the male (n = 3) and 15.6 X 10(4) (SD 2.1 X 10(4] in the female (n = 3). Besides the urethra, the prostate and vaginal vestibule contained several serotonin-immunoreactive cells. The urethral serotonin cells were basically bipolar basal-granulated cells that extended the basal cytoplasm to the basement membrane and reached the lumen with an apical process. Modified cell shapes were, however, also frequent, and included bifurcated apical and/or basal processes or a laterally directed basal process. Occasional serotonin cells possessed a threadlike basal process with varicosities and a terminal bouton, reminiscent of a neuronal process. Immunoreactivity for chromogranin A, a carrier protein common to endocrine paraneurons, was demonstrated in all of the urethral serotonin cells. The chromogranin A-immunoreactive granules accumulated more densely in the basal and perinuclear regions of the cell. It is hypothesized that the serotonin-immunopositive paraneurons may receive chemical and/or physical information from urine and, in response to it, secrete serotonin which presumably causes the contraction of the musculature of the urethra.  相似文献

Complete reproductive tracts of 30 female African elephants (5-53 years), obtained during a population reduction procedure, were examined. The reproductive tracts were palpated in situ via the urogenital canal. A plastic speculum (1.3 X 170 cm) was introduced into the canal and dye was injected to simulate the procedure for artificial insemination. The lengths of reproductive tracts (from the vulva to the ovary) ranged from 120 to 358 cm. The length increased with the size and age of the animal. There was a membranous constriction (hymen) with an orifice, less than 2 cm in diameter, between the urogenital canal and the vagina, in 4 primigravid and in all 13 nulliparous elephants. The vaginal orifice of 13 multiparous elephants consisted of ragged folds of mucous membrane surrounding a single opening, 5-19 cm in diameter. The ages at first conception of 4 pregnant elephants with intact hymenal membranes were 10, 12, 13 and 14 years. The hymen was not penetrated as a result of intromission and therefore the site of ejaculation would have been in the urogenital canal of the 4 primigravid elephants.  相似文献

We studied the prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) urogenital infection and the distribution of different genotypes in a non-selected STD population of 1625 patients, evaluating presence of coinfections with other sexually transmitted diseases. Each patient was bled to perform serological tests for syphilis and HIV, then urethral or endocervical swabs were obtained for the detection of CT and Neisseria gonorrhoeae by culture. DNA extracted from remnant positive swabs was amplified by omp1 Nested PCR and products were sequenced. Total prevalence of CT infection was 6.3% (103/1625), with strong differences between men and women (11.4% vs 3.9%, P<0.01). Clinical symptoms and coinfections were much more frequent in men than in women (P<0.01). The most common serovar was E (prevalence of 38.8%), followed by G (23.3%), F (13.5%) D/Da (11.6%) and J (4.8%). Serovars distribution was statistically different between men and women (P=0.042) and among patients with or without coinfection (P=0.035); patients infected by serovar D/Da showed the highest coinfection rate. This study can be considered a contribution in increasing knowledge on CT serovar distribution in Italy. Further studies are needed to better define molecular epidemiology of CT infection and to investigate its correlation with other STDs.  相似文献

The goal of this study was to examine acute morphological changes, edema, muscle damage, inflammation, and hypoxia in urethral and vaginal tissues with increasing duration of vaginal distension (VD) in a rat model. Twenty-nine virgin Sprague-Dawley rats underwent VD under anesthesia with the use of a modified Foley catheter inserted into the vagina and filled with saline for 0, 1, 4, or 6 h. Control animals were anesthetized for 4 h without catheter placement. Urogenital organs were harvested after intracardiac perfusion of fixative. Tissues were embedded, sectioned, and stained with Masson's trichrome or hematoxylin and eosin stains. Regions of hypoxia were measured by hypoxyprobe-1 immunohistochemistry. Within 1 h of VD, the urethra became vertically elongated and displaced anteriorly. Edema was most prominent in the external urethral sphincter (EUS) and urethral/vaginal septum within 4 h of VD, while muscle disruption and fragmentation of the EUS occurred after 6 h. Inflammatory damage was characterized by the presence of polymorphonuclear leukocytes in vessels and tissues after 4 h of VD, with the greatest degree of infiltration occurring in the EUS. Hypoxia localized mostly to the vaginal lamina propria, urethral smooth muscle, and EUS within 4 h of VD. Increasing duration of VD caused progressively greater tissue edema, muscle damage, and morphological changes in the urethra and vagina. The EUS underwent the greatest insult, demonstrating its vulnerability to childbirth injury.  相似文献

Today it is generally held that the vagina develops from sinovaginal bulbs and that the lower third of the definitive vagina is derived from the urogenital sinus. Here we show that the entire vagina arises by downward growth of Wolffian and Müllerian ducts, that the sinovaginal bulbs are in fact the caudal ends of the Wolffian ducts, and that vaginal development is under negative control of androgens. We designed a genetic experiment in which the androgen receptor defect in the Tfm mouse was used to examine the effects of androgens. Vaginal development was studied by 3D reconstruction in androgen-treated female embryos and in complete androgen-insensitive littermates. In androgen-treated females, descent of the genital ducts was inhibited, and a vagina formed in androgen-insensitive Tfm embryos as it does in normal females. By immmunohistochemical localization of the androgen receptor in normal mouse embryos, we demonstrated that the androgen receptor was expressed in Wolffian duct and urogenital sinus-derived structures, and was entirely absent in the Müllerian duct derivatives. We conclude that the Wolffian ducts are instrumental in conveying the negative control by androgens on vaginal development. The results are discussed under evolutionary aspects at the transition from marsupial to eutherian mammals.  相似文献

Material for endometrial cytology can be collected by veterinarians using guarded or unguarded swabs, or digitally with a gloved hand, and is an important diagnostic tool in establishing the endometrial health of mares prior to breeding. The aim of this study was to determine whether the use of unguarded endometrial samples is a reliable indicator of the presence of neutrophils in the uterus. Duplicate endometrial smears were collected from 41 genitally normal, non-pregnant fertile mares by both double-guarded swabs (DGS) and in an unguarded manner by digital scraping (DS) of the endometrium. In 17 of the 41 mares, smears were also collected from the cranial vagina by DS. Cytological samples were collected from a further seven non-pregnant mares at different reproductive stages, and tissues (vestibule, vagina and cervix) from four reproductively normal mares were examined histologically after slaughter to detect the presence of neutrophils. Only 3/41 (7.3%) of the DGS endometrial smears had neutrophils present compared to 36/41 (87.8%) of the DS endometrial smears. The percentage of neutrophils in DGS endometrial smears ranged from 0 to 6% (mean = 0.41%), whereas those in the DS smears ranged from 2 to 90% (mean = 22.02%). Neutrophils were present in all vaginal smears (17/17, range=3-56% (mean = 22.18%)). There was a significant positive correlation (r = 0.84; P < 0.001) between the percentage of neutrophils in the vagina and in the DS endometrial smears. More neutrophils were found in the cervix, vagina and vestibule than in endometrial smears during the cycle (P<0.05). Neutrophils were also observed in tissue collected from the cervix, vagina and vestibule from reproductively normal mares at post-mortem. In conclusion, endometrial smears collected using unguarded techniques are very likely to be contaminated with neutrophils transferred from the vagina potentially leading to incorrect diagnosis of endometritis. When collecting samples for endometrial cytology it is important to use guarded techniques to ensure that only the endometrium is sampled to avoid contamination with cells carried over from other areas of the reproductive tract.  相似文献

Four behavioral experiments involving a total of 19 adult male and 27 adult spayed female rhesus monkeys failed to reveal significant sexual stimulatory properties of vaginal lavages obtained from estrogen-treated donor females when the material was applied to spayed nonestrogenized recipient females. However, all but one of the males copulated to ejaculation when paired with estrogenized females. Two of three males showed moderate increases in sexual behavior with recipients when the vaginal lavage tested was contaminated with 24-hr-old ejaculate. When purified aliphatic acids were applied to spayed nonestrogenized recepients, one of two males showed increased frequencies of mounting behavior, but intromissions and ejaculations were not displayed.Quantitative analyses of short chain aliphatic acids in vaginal lavages, the hypothesized active component, revealed that (a) spayed females had nondetectable levels of aliphatic acids; (b) daily estradiol benzoate treatment for 6–10 days (25 μg/day i.m.) induced detectable levels of acetic, propionic, and butyric acids; (c) exposure to estradiol for six months resulted in a fairly constant plateau of aliphatic acid concentrations; and (d) ejaculate from the male caused up to fivefold elevations in the aliphatic acid concentrations.Three intact females were studied throughout a menstrual cycle, and the peak values of aliphatic acids occurred in the luteal phase, several days after presumed ovulation. Three spayed females treated chronically with estradiol were given four daily injections of 5 mg progesterone, and the mean concentrations of aliphatic acids increased from 199.7 to 801.0 μg/ml. However, the endocrine conditions associated with maximum concentrations of aliphatic acids in either intact or spayed females are known from other studies to be associated with decreased likelihood of copulation.We conclude that for the majority of males studied, the application of vaginal lavages obtained from estrogenized donors did not significantly increase copulatory behavior with spayed, nonestrogenized recipient females. Moreover, the data from aliphatic acid determinations suggest that increases in concentrations of these substances are not always associated with facilitation of copulation, since the largest increases were found either (1) following copulation to ejaculation, (2) during the luteal phase in cycles free of copulation, or (3) following progesterone treatment of spayed, estrogenized females. Finally, comparison of our results with those from other laboratories suggests that the mechanism involved in positive effects may depend upon associative learning or upon extinction and disinhibition of sexual interest.  相似文献

The vagina has been increasingly viewed as an "ecosystem" whose normal microflora help protect it from invading pathogens, including those that cause urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted diseases. We tested new strains of lactobacilli as potential probiotics for maintenance of urogenital tract health, as well as prevention and therapy of urogenital infections. A strain of lactobacilli isolated from the vagina of nonpregnant, healthy, premenopausal women was identified as Lactobacillus rhamnosus L60 by 16S rDNA sequence homology. L60 was evaluated for antimicrobial activity, in vitro antibiotic resistance, autoaggregation, surface hydrophobicity, co-aggregation with other bacterial species, hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) production, and bacterial adherence. It displayed a wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity against urogenital pathogens, and resistance to antibiotics commonly prescribed for infections caused by these pathogens. L60 produced H(2)O(2), adhered to vaginal epithelial cells, co-aggregated with Escherichia coli and Candida albicans, and displayed self-aggregation. In view of these characteristics, L60 is considered a potential probiotic, and will be further evaluated for preventive and therapeutic application locally in the vaginal tract.  相似文献

Chlamydia trachomatis is the leading cause of bacterial sexually transmitted diseases worldwide. Urogenital strains are classified into serotypes and genotypes based on the major outer membrane protein and its gene, ompA, respectively. Studies of the association of serotypes with clinical signs and symptoms have produced conflicting results while no studies have evaluated associations with ompA polymorphisms. We designed a population-based cross-sectional study of 344 men and women with urogenital chlamydial infections (excluding co-pathogen infections) presenting to clinics serving five U.S. cities from 1995 to 1997. Signs, symptoms and sequelae of chlamydial infection (mucopurulent cervicitis, vaginal or urethral discharge; dysuria; lower abdominal pain; abnormal vaginal bleeding; and pelvic inflammatory disease) were analyzed for associations with serotype and ompA polymorphisms. One hundred and fifty-three (44.5%) of 344 patients had symptoms consistent with urogenital chlamydial infection. Gender, reason for visit and city were significant independent predictors of symptom status. Men were 2.2 times more likely than women to report any symptoms (P=0.03) and 2.8 times more likely to report a urethral discharge than women were to report a vaginal discharge in adjusted analyses (P=0.007). Differences in serotype or ompA were not predictive except for an association between serotype F and pelvic inflammatory disease (P=0.046); however, the number of these cases was small. While there was no clinically prognostic value associated with serotype or ompA polymorphism for urogenital chlamydial infections except for serotype F, future studies might utilize multilocus genomic typing to identify chlamydial strains associated with clinical phenotypes.  相似文献

We have made a histological study of the postnatal development of the clitoris, preputial glands, urethral glands and vagina of the golden hamster. The 'phallic groove' of the clitoris is closed at 10 days of life, then the urethra has a cuboidal stratified, a stratified squamous and a stratified keratinized epithelium. The preputial glands are composed of branched saccular glands. These glands develop, with few changes during their maturation period. Formation of the urethral glands begins at 5 days and the alveoli are fully developed at puberty. The hamster vagina has two origins; the upper part is Müllerian, the caudal part is sinusal. The wall of the Müllerian vagina has a cylindrical epithelium at birth, which becomes 'double epithelium' at puberty and thereafter changes cyclically in connection with the estrous cycle. The sinusal vagina is solid at birth, its lumen being formed in the first 10 days of life and its wall having a cuboidal stratified epithelium. At 15 days it becomes a stratified keratinized epithelium, which will later line the vaginal pouch. At the 5th day, an ectodermic invagination (stratified keratinized epithelium) is observed in the zone of the future introitus. At the time of vaginal opening this zone forms the distal segment.  相似文献
