Two ent-isopimarane-type diterpenoids were isolated from the New Zealand liverwort Trichocolea mollissima (Hook. f. and Tayl.) Gott., together with a known 1alpha-hydroxy-ent-sandaracopimara-8(14),15-diene. Their absolute structures have been established by modified Mosher's method, X-ray crystallography and by analyses of their CD spectra.  相似文献

The incorporation of [1-13C] labelled glucose into hodgsonox, a sesquiterpene epoxide with a unique, doubly allylic ether functionality has been studied in axenic cultures of the liverwort Lepidolaena hodgsoniae. Quantitative 13C NMR spectroscopic analysis showed that the isoprene units are derived exclusively from the methylerythritol phosphate pathway.  相似文献

Incubation studies using [1-14C]isopentenyl diphosphate and [1-2H2]isopentenyl diphosphate as substrates revealed that isolated chromoplasts from flowers of Narcissus pseudonarcissus L. are able to synthesize monoterpene hydrocarbons and linalool in high yields. The enzymes involved are soluble in the chromoplast stroma. It is hypothesized that in the plant cell plastids are the site of monoterpene biosynthesis, whereas the formation of sesquiterpenes may be restricted to the cytoplasm/endoplasmic reticulum.  相似文献

The biosynthesis of the triterpene 22-(30)-hopene-29-acid and the diterpenes 7,17-sacculatadiene-11,12-dial (sacculatal), trans-phytol and a new neoverrucosane-type diterpenoid (5-oxo-neoverrucos-(13)-ene) was studied by incorporation of [1-13C]-labelled glucose into axenic cultures of the artic liverwort Fossombronia alaskana. Quantitative 13C NMR spectroscopic analysis of the resulting labelling patterns showed that the isoprene units of the triterpene are derived from the mevalonic acid pathway, whereas the isoprene units of the diterpenes are built up via the methylerythritol phosphate pathway.  相似文献

Six rosanes, 5 beta,11 beta-dihydroxy-ros-15-ene, 5 beta,12 beta-dihydroxy-ros-15-ene, 11 beta-hydroxy-7-oxo-rosa-5,15-diene, 1 alpha,5 beta,11 beta-trihydroxy-7-oxo-ros-15-ene, 5 beta,20-epoxy-20-hydroxy-ros-15-ene and 5 beta,20-epoxy-20-methoxy-ros-15-ene along with the enantiomer of the already reported 11 beta-hydroxy-rosa-5,15-diene and the known 5 beta-hydroxy-ros-15-ene have been isolated from the liverwort Gackstroemia decipiens. Furthermore, the sesquiterpenes 3-acetoxy-7,11-dihydroxy-farnesa-1,5,9-triene and 1 beta,10 beta-epoxy-nardosin-7,11-diene were identified. The biosynthesis of the diterpene 8alpha-acetoxy-13alpha-hydroxy-5-oxo-13-epi- neoverrucosane in the arctic liverwort Fossombronia alaskana was studied by incorporation experiments using [1-(13)C]- and [U-(13)C(6)]glucose as precursors. The (13)C-labeling patterns of acetyl-CoA, pyruvate, and phosphoenolpyruvate in intermediary metabolism were reconstructed from the (13)C NMR data of biosynthetic amino acids (leucine, alanine, phenylalanine) and were used to predict hypothetical labeling patterns for isopentenyl pyrophosphate formed via the mevalonate pathway and the deoxyxylulose pathway. The labeling patterns observed for the neoverrucosane diterpene were consistent with the intermediate formation of geranyllinaloyl pyrophosphate assembled from dimethylallyl pyrophosphate and three molecules of isopentenyl pyrophosphate generated predominantly or entirely via 1-deoxyxylulose 5-phosphate. The experimental data can be integrated into a detailed biosynthetic scheme involving a 1,5-hydride shift. The postulated involvement of the 1,5-hydride shift was confirmed by an incorporation experiment with [6,6-(2)H(2)]glucose.  相似文献

The formation of two distinct types of carbohydrate moieties, β-elminable saccharides attached to serine and/or threonine and of the polysaccharide portion of yeast mannan-protein was investigated using the particulated mannan synthetase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae and GDP-[U-14C] mannose as mannosyl donor.The accumulated evidence obtained by following the kinetics of mannose incorporation into the different carbohydrate portions of mannoproteins, kinetics of thermal denaturation of enzymes responsible for the synthesis and by “pulse-chase” experiment where the change in the distribution of incorporated radioactivity was followed between the two carbohydrate moieties strongly suggests that the two carbohydrate portions in yeast mannoprotein are being synthesized independently, most probably by different sets of enzymes. At the same time, the obtained data show the β-eliminable saccharides attached to serine and threonine in the peptide do not serve as precursors in the formation of polysaccharide part of mannoprotein.  相似文献

In this study, a series of novel phenyl- and benzimidazole-substituted benzyl ethers were synthesized and evaluated for antibacterial and antifungal activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, and Candida krusei. Compound 6g exhibited the most potent antibacterial activity with lowest MIC values of 3.12 and 6.25 microg/mL against S. aureus and MRSA, respectively.  相似文献

The bark of Calophyllum calaba var. calaba contains a new xanthone, 2,8-di-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)-1,3-dihydroxy-7-methoxyxanthone (calocalabaxanthone), the precursor of 5-hydroxy-8-methoxy-2,2-dimethyl-7-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)-2H,6H-pyano-(3,2-b)-xanthen-6-one (calabaxanthone). The ether extract of the Chilean liverwort Lepicolea ochroleuca yielded three sesquiterpenoids, ent-4 beta-Hydroxy-10 alpha-methoxyaromadendrane, ent-3 beta-Hydroxyspathulenol, and 1,10-Dioxotayloriane, as minor components. The major components were ledol and 13-epi-neoverrucosan-5 beta-ol, four other minor fusicoccanoids were identified.  相似文献

A pure substance has been isolated from the liverwort Ptilidium ciliare of composition C15H22O. On the basis of the correlation of its IR and PMR spectra with those of pinguisone (I), it has been assigned structure of deoxopinguisone (II). The structure of a prenylbenzene derivative isolated previously from a Cuban specimen of the liverwort Plagiochila rutilans is revised to 2-methoxy-6-prenylhydroquinone. The hydroquinone was observed as a prominent component of the NMR and GC-MS fingerprints of five recent specimens of the liverwort from Bolivia, Brazil and Costa Rica. The corresponding quinone was observed as a minor component. Two new methylated derivatives of the hydroquinone were observed as prominent components in one specimen from Bolivia; these were isolated, characterized, and their structures elucidated as 2-methoxy-1-O-methyl-6-prenylhydroquinone and 2-methoxy-4-O-methyl-6-prenylhydroquinone using 1H NMR spectroscopy. The liverwort has a strong peppermint-like odour that is caused by the presence of several menthane monoterpenoids, including notably pulegone, menthone, isomenthone. terpinolene and limonene. One of the Costa Rican specimens contained considerable amounts of the new lactone 3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadien-1,6-olide as the principal monoterpenoid in place of pulegone. Two Costa Rican specimens distinguished morphologically as Plagiochila standleyi (a taxon closely related to P. rutilans and reduced elsewhere to a variety of that species) are characterized by large amounts of 3-hydroxy-4'-methoxybibenzyl. P. standleyi was also reported to have a peppermint-like odour in the field. Menthane monoterpenoids were again responsible but in this case the major components were limonene, beta-phellandrene, alpha-terpinene and the endoperoxide ascaridole.  相似文献

Two eremophilanolides, 5-epidilatanolides A and B, as well as a new natural bibenzyl were isolated from an Argentine collection of the liverwort Frullania brasiliensis, along with the known eudesmane-type sesquiterpene lactones nepalensolide A, nepalensolide B, (+)-frullanolide, and (+)-dihydrofrullanolide, the hopanoid zeorin, the four sterols stigmasta-4,22-dien-3,6-dione, stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one, stigmasterol, and sitosterol, and a trace amount of atraric acid. The structure and stereochemistry of the eremophilanolides and the bibenzyl were established by a combination of extensive NMR spectroscopy experiments and X-ray crystallographic analysis. Absolute configurations of the new compounds were derived on the basis of CD spectra.  相似文献

The essential oil of the liverwort Plagiochila asplenioides from two different locations in Northern Germany were investigated by chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. Seven compounds were isolated by preparative gas chromatography (GC) and their structures investigated by mass spectrometry (MS), NMR techniques and chemical correlations in combination with enantioselective GC. In addition to known constituents, aromadendra-1(10),3-diene, two aromatic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, bisabola-1,3,5,7(14)-tetraene and bisabola-1,3,5,7-tetraene, three sesquiterpene ethers, muurolan-4,7-peroxide, plagiochilines W and X, in addition to ent-4-epi-maaliol, could be identified as natural compounds for the first time.  相似文献
