By sterilization-treatments grain weights in defined positions within the wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cvs. Oskar, Kolibri, Norin 10) ear were varied. Main shoot ears were partitioned into basal, central and apical regions and further into proximal and distal grains. The central region was used for treatments and investigations. Proximal grains were sterilized in order to vary the dry weights of distal grains. Dry matter ac= cumulation and IAA levels were investigated during the grainfilling period. Results from two seasons are presented. In both seasons sterilization treatments accelerated the dry matter accumulation of distal grains in all cultivars, but treatment effects on IAA concentration depended upon interactions between years and cultivars. A parallel variation in grain weights and IAA concentrations occurred only in 1981 in the cultivar Oskar. In 1982, however, IAA concentrations were reduced in all cultivars. The results contradict an assumed causal correlation between dry matter storage and IAA concentration, but they do not exclude a possible role of IAA in regulating grain growth.  相似文献

不同产量水平旱地冬小麦品种干物质累积和转移的差异分析   总被引:14,自引:0,他引:14  
旱地小麦高产栽培中品种起着重要作用,研究不同产量水平旱地冬小麦品种干物质累积和转移的差异,对黄土高原旱区作物高产稳产有重要意义。以9个旱地冬小麦品种为材料,通过田间试验研究了不同产量水平旱地冬小麦品种的生物量、花前花后干物质累积量、干物质转移量、转移率及转移干物质对籽粒的贡献率、叶面积、SPAD值以及光合速率的差异。结果表明,不同小麦品种的生物量、花前花后干物质累积量、干物质转移量、转移率及转移干物质对籽粒的贡献率均存在明显差异。与不施肥相比,高、中、低3个产量水平小麦品种在低养分投入时,成熟期生物量分别提高29%,22%和6%,高水平时分别提高46%,39%和23%,高产品种的生物量及其对养分投入的敏感程度明显高于低产品种。不同品种的花后干物质累积量随养分投入水平提高而增加,但花前营养器官中储存物质的转移量、转移率和对籽粒的贡献率却明显随之下降。功能叶(旗叶)在灌浆期高、中、低3个产量水平品种的SPAD值在低养分投入条件下分别为20.7、17.5和13.7;高养分投入时,分别为35、26.1和16.8。高产品种西农88的光合速率为6.0μmolCO.2m-.2s-1),中产和低产品种的平均光合速率分别为4.3μmolCO.2m-.2s-1和4.0μmolCO.2m-.2s-1,高产品种功能叶(旗叶)在灌浆期能保持较高的SPAD值和光合速率,因而花后能生产较多的干物质,但其花前干物质转移量、转移率及转移干物质对籽粒的贡献率均没有明显优势。可见,花后较高的叶绿素水平、光合速率和干物质累积是旱地小麦品种高产的重要原因。选择优良品种,采取合理的栽培措施,特别是通过养分调控保持花后具较高的干物质累积量是西北旱地进一步提高冬小麦产量的重要途径。  相似文献

Lesion numbers in seedlings of spring wheat cvs Kolibri and Maris Butler, inoculated with Septoria nodorum in a growth cabinet, varied with the length of wet or dry period following inoculation. Increasing the length of dry period led to a curvilinear decrease in lesion numbers at 15° C (60% r.h.) and 20° C (40% r.h.), but some infection still occurred with a dry period of 72 h. Increasing the length of wet period gave a linear increase in lesion numbers in cv. Maris Butler, but lesion numbers levelled off at 12 h at 15° C (60% r.h.) in cv. Kolibri. Increasing the inoculum concentration gave an increase in lesion numbers in both cultivars irrespective of whether wet or dry periods followed inoculation. On occasion, Kolibri and Maris Butler differed significantly in lesion numbers, but differences were not consistent between experiments, and there were interactions with the length of wet period.  相似文献

The physiological and biochemical factors contributing to poor grain filling of indica-japonica rice ( Oryza sativa L.) hybrids were studied by analyzing the role of grain sink strength in dry matter accumulation of grains of two types of rice cultivars, Yayou 2 (an indica-japonica hybrid) and Yanjing 2 (a japonica cultivar). Carbon dioxide enrichment and plant hormone application were imposed at anthesis and the number of endosperm cells, dry matter accumulation and the activities of some sugar-metabolizing enzymes of grains were measured during grain filling. In Yayou 2, strong-potential grains (SPGs) accumulated dry weight much earlier than weak-potential grains (WPGs), but this difference was not obvious for Yanjing 2. Carbon dioxide enrichment imposed after heading significantly stimulated dry matter accumulation of WPGs of Yayou 2, but had little influence on WPGs of Yanjing 2 and SPGs of both cultivars. Leaf sheath dry matter decreased steadily in both cultivars during early stages of grain filling and accumulated during the later stages. Carbon dioxide enrichment increased leaf sheath dry matter. Dry matter accumulated by grains was linearly related to the increases in endosperm cell numbers and the activities of sucrose synthase (SS) and ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase (AGPase) in SPGs and WPGs of both cultivars. Application of either 6-benzyladenine or abscisic acid had no significant influences on both endosperm cell number and grain dry matter accumulation. These results suggest that grain sink strength, determined by both cell numbers, SS and AGPase activities in the endosperm control the dry matter accumulation of grains.  相似文献

The influence of a varied sucrose supply on grain size and hormonal contents of detached wheat ears ( Triticwn aestivum L. cv. Schirokko) was investigated throughout grain development. In ears led limited amounts, or no sucrose, grain weights in both proximal and distal grain positions of the ear were reduced. Radioimmunoassay for abscisic acid, indoleacetic acid and zeatin/zeatin riboside showed that the changes in the levels of these hormones in grains and bracts were comparable to intact ears when detached ears were well supplied with sucrose. Under conditions of limited sucrose supply, higher abscisic acid levels in the distal and proximal grains of detached ears were found compared to ears supplied with adequate sucrose. Limiting sucrose supply to the ear did not alter the levels of indoleacetic acid or zeatin/zeatin riboside in either the grains or bracts of detached ears.  相似文献

The role of thiourea (TU), a sulfhydryl compound, was assessed in wheat via soil and foliar treatments. Results showed that at 30 days after flowering, soil-applied TU treatments did not influence dry matter accumulation or its distribution in leaves, stems, and ears, but foliar-applied treatments brought about significant effects varying with the timing of spray. At harvest, however, soil-applied treatment of 10 kg/ha TU increased the number of ears, grains/ear, weight/grain, biological yield (total above ground biomass), grain yield, and harvest index. Grain yield increased by 17.3% over control. Soil-applied 20 kg/ha TU increased the grain yield by 1.6% over control. Foliar applied treatment of 0.5 kg/ha TU at tillering increased the number of ears, grains/ear, weight/grain, biological yield, grain yield, and harvest index. Grain yield increased by 15.2% over control. Foliar spray of 0.5 kg/ha TU at flowering tended to improve only weight/grain, but biological yield and grain yield increased significantly. Grain yield increased by 6.6% over control. TU spray at both tillering and flowering increased the number of ears, grains/ear, weight/grain, biological yield, grain yield, and harvest index. Grain yield increased by 23.9% over control, and when compared with spray at tillering there was a significant increase of 7.5%. Thus, two foliar sprays of thiourea, at tillering and at flowering, at 1 kg/ha can be recommended for improving wheat productivity.Abbreviations TU thiourea - DMA dry matter accumulation - DMD dry matter distribution  相似文献

黄土丘陵区旱地小麦籽粒干物质积累的准确模拟可为调控小麦生产提供重要的技术支持。本研究利用甘肃省定西市安定区1971—2017年的气象资料和甘肃省定西市安定区凤翔镇安家沟村2016—2017年的大田试验数据,基于APSIM模型对旱地小麦籽粒干物质积累与分配进行模拟,并在模型验证的基础上,定量分析了播期和耕作方式对小麦籽粒干物质积累的影响。结果表明: 3个播期(早播、正常播、晚播)和4种耕作方式(传统耕作、传统耕作+覆盖、免耕、免耕+覆盖)下,籽粒干物质模拟值与实测值间的均方根误差(RMSE)为57.5~143.1 kg·hm-2,归一化均方根误差(NRMSE)为1.4%~9.9%,模型模拟精度较高。不同播期下,耕作方式对籽粒干物质积累的促进效果排序均表现为: 免耕+覆盖>传统耕作+覆盖>免耕>传统耕作,免耕+覆盖最有利于小麦籽粒干物质积累,而免耕与传统耕作差异不显著。不同耕作方式下,小麦干物质积累过程均表现为早播好于正常播和晚播,晚播对干物质积累的影响较大,积累过程最不理想。  相似文献

Apical florets of maize (Zea mays L.) ears differentiate later than basal florets and form kernels which have lower dry matter accumulation rates. The purpose of this study was to determine whether increasing the temperature of apical kernels during the dry matter accumulation period would alter the difference in growth rate between apical and basal kernels. Apical regions of field-grown maize (cultivar Cornell 175) ears were heated to 25 ± 3°C from 7 days after pollination to maturity (tip-heated ears) and compared with unheated ears (control). In controls, apical-kernel endosperm had 24% smaller dry weight at maturity, lower concentration of sucrose, and lower activity of ADP-Glc starch synthase than basal-kernel endosperm, whereas ADP-Glc-pyrophosphorylase (ADPG-PPase) activities were similar. In tip-heated ears apical-kernel endosperm had the same growth rate and final weight as basal-kernel endosperm and apical kernels had higher sucrose concentrations, higher ADP-Glc starch synthase activity, and similar ADPG-PPase activity. Total grain weight per ear was not increased by tip-heating because the increase in size of apical kernels was partially offset by a slight decrease in size of the basal- and middle-position kernels. Tip-heating hastened some of the developmental events in apical kernels. ADPG-PPase and ADP-Glc starch synthase activities reached peak levels and starch concentration began rising earlier in apical kernels. However, tip-heating did not shorten the period of starch accumulation in apical kernels. The results indicate that the lower growth rate and smaller size of apical kernels are not solely determined by differences in prepollination floret development.  相似文献

Rates of dry matter accumulation and contents of starch, sugars and abscisic acid (ABA) of tomato fruits differed significantly during development at three positions (proximal, middle and distal) on a truss. Proximal fruits, which accumulated dry matter most rapidly during early development, generally had least ABA (per g DW).Partial defoliation reduced carbon accumulation by all fruits but increased ABA, especially in distal fruit, and indoleacetic acid (IAA), particularly in proximal fruits. The ABA content of leaves in partially defoliated plants was similar to that of leaves on non-defoliated plants.Removal of distal fruits on a truss enhanced carbon movement to the remaining proximal fruits and also increased their ABA content early in development but did not affect their IAA content. On the other hand, when proximal fruit were removed there was no large or lasting increased accumulation of carbon by the remaining distal fruits and they contained less ABA and IAA than fruits on plants without fruit thinning. Leaf carbon and ABA levels showed no marked trend in response to fruit thinning.The amount of carbon in the stems was increased by fruit thinning but decreased by partial defoliation.The possible roles of ABA and IAA in regulating fruit growth are discussed.Part of this work has been presented to a Symposium on Phloem loading and related processes at Bad Grund/Oberhar, W. Several studies have analysed the effects of wheat breedingon dry matter accumulation and partitioning, but little hasbeen done to understand the effects on nutrient economies. Theobjective of this study was to identify the changes producedby wheat breeding in the economy of nitrogen and phosphorusunder field conditions. Two experiments were carried out withseven genotypes (including a commercial hybrid) representingdifferent eras of plant breeding. Wheat breeding has increased grain nitrogen and phosphorus yieldbut total absorbed nutrients have not shown any trend duringthis century. The main attribute closely related to the increasein grain nitrogen and phosphorus yields was their harvest indices.The higher nutrient partitioning in the newer cultivars wasassociated with lower grain nitrogen and phosphorus concentrationsin their grains. Therefore, there was a negative effect of geneticimprovement in grain nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations.The main cause for the decreased concentration of these nutrientsin the grains of the modern cultivars appeared to be a dilutionby an even more increased dry matter partitioning. In microplot field experiments conducted over the course of 12 years, the accumulation of dry matter was recorded in the leaves, stems, and ears of the primary shoots of plants of four cultivars of spring wheat (Triticum aestivumL.) differing in productivity and drought resistance. The contribution of organs to the accumulation of dry matter by the shoot from emergence to anthesis was calculated, and relative changes in the weight of the ear after anthesis were assessed. In all the cultivars, the contribution of the leaves was the same; however, the share of the ear was greater in short-stem cultivars of the intensive type in which the leaves were more active during the time of grain filling. Furthermore, this load increased, and the relative increment in the ear weight after flowering decreased in the years of drought, because the contribution of the leaves did not depend on water supply during the growing season. During these years, the contribution of the ear increased in the plants of all the cultivars. The authors conclude that, in arid regions, in addition to drought resistance, the cultivar should display such a ratio between the ear weight and the weight of leaves that would still ensure satisfactory grain filling  相似文献

Mercury pollution in fields has become a potential threat to human health. Planting wheat cultivars with low mercury accumulation in slight or medium mercury-polluted fields is an efficient solution to ensure food safety. Therefore, this study evaluated the mercury resistance and accumulation characteristics of 30 generalized wheat cultivars in major wheat-producing areas of China. A modified membership function that considers the weight of each trait was used.Results demonstrated that the plant height of wheat significantly increased under both low mercury and high mercury stresses. The uppermost internode length significantly increased while the spikelet number significantly decreased under low mercury stress. Yield-related traits, including total grain number, fresh grain yield, and dry grain yield, significantly decreased under high mercury stress. The mercury concentrations in wheat grains presented a significant negative correlation with the mercury resistance coefficients of plant height (−0.38*), spike length (−0.39*), and fresh grain yield (−0.38*) under high mercury stress. The heritability of all traits reached medium to high levels, ranging from 0.31 to 0.68. This finding suggested that the investigated traits are stable and suitable for the assessment system. Selection criteria for wheat mercury resistance were established using discriminant analysis, which integrated the mercury resistance coefficients of effective tiller number, fresh grain yield, and dry biomass into the discriminant function under low mercury stress and the mercury resistance coefficients of dry grain yield and dry biomass under high mercury stress. Ultimately, Liangxing-99, Nongda-3163, and Gaocheng-8901 were screened for high mercury resistance and low mercury accumulation. These wheat cultivars could be planted in fields with low or medium mercury pollution to obtain safe grains.  相似文献

有机物沟埋还田与花后灌水配合对增加玉米田保水供水能力,提高玉米花后光合性能、实现节水增产有重要意义.本试验以郑单958为供试材料,设置有机物沟埋还田和花后灌水量两个因素,有机物沟埋还田包括不还田(M0)、秸秆单还田(M1)和牛粪秸秆混合还田(M2)3个还田类型,花后灌水量包括450 mm(W1)和325 mm(W2)2个水平,研究了其对玉米穗位叶光合性能、光系统Ⅱ(PSⅡ)效率和产量等的影响.结果表明:与秸秆单还田比较,牛粪秸秆混合还田有效提高了玉米花后光合能力和各器官的干物质积累量;与节水灌溉相比,正常灌溉加强了有机物还田对玉米光合能力的促进作用.牛粪秸秆混合还田与正常灌溉结合可显著提高玉米花后叶片的光合速率(Pn)、气孔导度(gs)和蒸腾速率(Tr),降低胞间CO2浓度(Ci);提高玉米花后叶片PSⅡ的最大光化学效率(φpo)和捕获的激子将电子传递到电子传递链中QA下游的电子受体的概率(Ψo);改善花后叶片光能利用率,维持花后叶片较高的光合性能;同时增加花后玉米各器官干物质的量,提高干物质总积累量和转运能力,有利于花后同化物对籽粒的分配,最终获得高产.节水灌溉降低了叶片的光合性能,造成产量的下降;但配合牛粪秸秆混合还田与不还田处理相比,水分利用效率、籽粒增长速率和增产效果均优于正常灌水.这表明牛粪秸秆混合还田与正常灌溉结合可有效提高玉米花后光合性能,增加干物质积累量,促进玉米增产;牛粪秸秆混合还田与节水灌溉结合一定程度上降低了因减少灌溉量造成的减产.  相似文献

Seed weights at specific positions within inflorescences of field bean plants (Vicia faba L.) were varied by removal of flowers. The inflorescences of two regions (nodes 3+4 and nodes 5+6, counted from the bottom of the plant) were used for manipulations and investigations. The two proximal flowers of the manipulated inflorescence were removed in order to vary the development and seed weights of distal pods (see Fig. 1). Dry matter accumulation and IAA- and ABA-concentrations in seeds were investigated during the filling period. Treatment effects in both regions were similar during two seasons. The removal of proximal flowers prevented the usually observed drop of distal pods and favoured the accumulation of dry matter and IAA in seeds, whereas the variation of ABA-concentrations partly depended on interaction with season. Whether these effects contribute to a signal leading to the establishment of processes preceeding dry matter accumulation or are a consequence of such processes is questionable.  相似文献

通过土培盆栽试验,研究了小麦不同品种在低磷水平下生物量、磷浓度、磷素干物质生产效率及磷素籽粒生产效率的差异,以筛选磷高效利用小麦品种.结果表明:分蘖期、拔节期、扬花期和成熟期,供试小麦品种单株生物量的变幅分别为0.46~1.09、0.85~2.10、3.00~7.00和3.85~12.88 g,磷浓度变幅分别为2.21~4.26、2.38~4.42、2.44~4.96和1.30~5.09 mg·g-1.随生育时期的推进,小麦磷素累积量、磷素干物质生产效率对生物量形成的影响程度呈减小趋势.分蘖期(CV=16.3%)、拔节期(CV=15.0%)、扬花期磷素干物质生产效率(CV=13.3%)和成熟期磷素籽粒生产效率(CV=20.5%)的品种差异较大.CD1158-7和省A3宜03-4具有较高的磷素干物质生产效率和磷素籽粒生产效率,而渝02321较低;不同生育时期高效品种磷浓度极显著低于低效品种,而高效品种CD1158-7和省A3宜03-4的籽粒产量分别是低效品种渝02321的1.98和1.78倍.  相似文献

Two cultivars of spring wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.), Sport(high protein) and WL4 (low protein), were grown to maturityin culture solution. Nitrogen in the form of nitrate was addedin daily doses at stepwise-decreasing relative rates to ensurenormal development, and both cultivars received the same totalamount of N during development. At weekly intervals from anthesisto maturity the daily nitrate dose was, for selected groupsof plants, labelled with15N. After the labelling period theselected plants were harvested and analysed. The cultivar WL4produced more biomass than Sport, as well as more spikeletsand more grains per ear, with a higher mean grain weight, suchthat grain yield of WL4 was 57% greater than Sport. The earsof both cultivars were heterogenous: mean grain weight was highestin middle spikelets, which also contained more grains; the Ncontent followed the pattern of dry weight with more N in themiddle spikelets; but the N concentration was practically thesame in all spikelets (2.15% of d. wt in WL4 and 3.33% in Sport).The distribution of15N showed that the main stem ear maturedmuch earlier than tiller ears. The results of this nitrogen-labellingexperiment show that, late in development, substantial amountsof recently-absorbed N were immediately assimilated and transportedto the ears. Transport of15N decreased earlier to the top spikeletsthan to the bottom spikelets. As both cultivars were grown underidentical conditions and both received the same amount of Nit was concluded that the difference in grain N concentrationwas not caused by differences in the capacity of N assimilationand translocation but rather by different rates of accumulationof non-nitrogenous dry matter in the grains. 在田间试验条件下, 以中穗型小麦(Triticum aestivum)品种‘山农15’和大穗型品种‘山农8355’为供试材料, 设置3个0-140 cm土层土壤相对含水量处理: W0 (拔节期65%, 开花期60%)、W1 (拔节期70%, 开花期70%)、W2 (拔节后8天70%, 开花后8天70%), 采用测墒补灌的方法补充土壤水分达到目标相对含水量, 对两个不同穗型小麦品种的耗水特性和干物质积累与分配进行了研究。结果表明: (1)两品种籽粒产量均以W0处理最低, ‘山农15’ W1和W2处理无显著差异, ‘山农8355’ W1处理显著高于W2处理; 两品种W1处理的水分利用效率和灌溉水利用效率均显著高于W2处理。‘山农15’ W1处理的籽粒产量和灌溉水利用效率分别显著低于和高于‘山农8355’的W1处理, 水分利用效率无显著差异; 两品种W2处理的籽粒产量、水分利用效率和灌溉水利用效率均无显著差异。(2)两品种总耗水量以W0处理最低, ‘山农15’ W1处理显著低于W2处理, ‘山农8355’两处理无显著差异; 两品种W1处理的土壤供水量及其占总耗水量的比例显著高于W2处理。‘山农15’ W1处理的总耗水量和灌水量占总耗水量的比例显著低于‘山农8355’, 土壤供水量占总耗水量的比例显著高于‘山农8355’; 两品种W2处理总耗水量, 土壤供水量及其占总耗水量的比例无显著差异。(3)两品种W1处理成熟期干物质积累量显著高于其他处理, W1处理提高了‘山农8355’开花后干物质积累量及其对籽粒的贡献率, 对‘山农15’无显著影响。‘山农15’ W1和W2处理成熟期干物质积累量显著低于‘山农8355’, 开花前贮藏同化物向籽粒的转运量和转运率、对籽粒的贡献率均显著高于‘山农8355’, 开花后干物质积累量及其对籽粒的贡献率低于‘山农8355’。综合考虑干物质积累与分配、籽粒产量、水分利用效率和灌溉水利用效率, W1处理是两品种节水高产的最佳土壤相对含水量处理。  相似文献

In 1990 and 1991 grain samples of spring barley were obtained from plots in which fungal diseases were controlled until ear emergence using fungicide sprays, and from comparable plots which had received no fungicide applications. The grain was stored at 10oC, and tested for germination at intervals during storage. Grain from plots treated with fungicide consistently exhibited more dormancy than grain from untreated plots. In 1992, grain development was monitored from anthesis to harvest-ripeness in treated and untreated plots of cvs Blenheim, Camargue and Tyne. In cvs Blenheim and Camargue, grains in fungicide-treated plots had a greater dry weight at harvest-ripeness, and dehydrated later in development than grains in untreated plots. Neither of these differences was observed in cv. Tyne. Possible interpretations of the effects of fungicide treatment of the parent plant on the physiology of the grain are discussed.  相似文献

PC–heavy metal complexes have been reported to accumulate in the vacuole. Retention of Cd in the root cell vacuoles might influence the symplastic radial Cd transport to the xylem and further transport to the shoot, resulting in genotypic differences in grain Cd accumulation. We have studied PC accumulation in 12-day-old seedlings of two cultivars of spring bread wheat (Triticum aestivum), and two spring durum wheat cultivars (Triticum turgidum var. durum) with different degrees of Cd accumulation in the grains. Shoots and roots were analysed for dry weight, Cd and PC accumulation. There were no significant differences between the species or the varieties in the growth response to Cd, nor in the distributions of PC chain lengths or PC isoforms. At 1 μM external Cd, durum wheat had a higher total Cd uptake than bread wheat, however, the shoot-to-root Cd concentration ratio was higher in bread wheat. When comparing varieties within a species, the high grain Cd accumulators exhibited lower rates of root Cd accumulation, shoot Cd accumulation, and root PC accumulation, but higher shoot-to-root Cd concentration ratios. Intraspecific variation in grain Cd accumulation is apparently not only explained by differential Cd accumulation as such, but rather by a differential plant-internal Cd allocation pattern. However, the higher average grain Cd accumulation in the durum wheats, as compared to the bread wheats, is associated with a higher total Cd accumulation in the plant, rather than with differential plant-internal Cd allocation. The root-internal PC chain length distributions and PC–thiol-to-Cd molar ratios did not significantly differ between species or varieties, suggesting that differential grain Cd accumulation is not due to differential PC-based Cd sequestration in the roots.  相似文献
