A multiphase model of metal ion speciation in human interstitial fluid was constructed and the effect of Pr(III) on Ca(II) speciation was studied. Results show that free Ca2+, [Ca(HCO3)], and [Ca(Lac)] are the main species of Ca(II). Because of the competition of Pr(III) for ligands with Ca(II), the percentages of free Ca2+, [Ca(Lac)], and [Ca(His)(Thr)H3] increase gradually and the percentages of CaHPO4(aq) and [Ca(Cit)(His)H2] decrease gradually with the increase in the total concentration of Pr(III). However, the percentages of [Ca(HCO3)] and CaCO3(aq) first increase and then begin to decrease when the total concentration of Pr(III) exceeds 6.070×10−4 M.  相似文献

The speciation and distribution of Zn(II) and the effect of Gd(III) on Zn(II) speciation in human blood plasma were studied by computer simulation. The results show that, in normal blood plasma, the most predominant species of Zn(II) are [Zn(HSA)] (58.2%), [Zn(IgG)](20.1%), [Zn(Tf)] (10.4%), ternary complexes of [Zn(Cit)(Cys)] (6.6%) and of [Zn(Cys)(His)H] (1.6%), and the binary complex of [Zn(Cys)2H] (1.2%). When zinc is deficient, the distribution of Zn(II) species is similar to that in normal blood plasma. Then, the distribution changes with increasing zinc(II) total concentration. Overloading Zn(II) is initially mainly bound to human serum albumin (HSA). As the available amount of HSA is exceeded, phosphate metal and carbonate metal species are established. Gd(III) entering human blood plasma predominantly competes for phosphate and carbonate to form precipitate species. However, Zn(II) complexes with phosphate and carbonate are negligible in normal blood plasma, so Gd(III) only have a little effect on zinc(II) species in human blood plasma at a concentration above 1.0×10−4 M.  相似文献

The speciation and distribution of Gd(III) in human interstitial fluid was studied by computer simulation. The results show that at the background concentration, all the Gd(III) species are soluble and no precipitates appear. However as the total concentration of Gd(III) rises above 2.610 × 10–9 mol/l,the insoluble species become predominant. GdPO4 is formed first as a precipitate and then Gd2(CO3)3. Among soluble species, free Gd(III), [Gd(HSA)], [Gd(Ox)] and the ternary complexes of Gd(III) with citrate as the primary ligand are main species when the total concentration of Gd(III) is below 2.074 × 10–2 mol/l. With the total concentration of Gd(III) further rising, [Gd3(OH)4] begins to appear and gradually becomes a predominant species.  相似文献

Toxic effects of metals appear to be partly related to the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which can cause oxidative damage to cells. The ability of several redox active metals [Fe(III), Cu(II), Ag(I), Cr(III), Cr(VI)], nonredox active metals [Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II)], and the metalloid As(III) and As(V) to produce ROS at environmentally relevant metal concentrations was assessed. Cells of the freshwater alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii P. A. Dang. were exposed to various metal concentrations for 2.5 h. Intracellular ROS accumulation was detected using an oxidation‐sensitive reporter dye, 5‐(and‐6)‐carboxy‐2′,7′‐dihydrodifluorofluorescein diacetate (H2DFFDA), and changes in the fluorescence signal were quantified by flow cytometry (FCM). In almost all cases, low concentrations of both redox and nonredox active metals enhanced intracellular ROS levels. The hierarchy of maximal ROS induction indicated by the increased number of stained cells compared to the control sample was as follows: Pb(II) > Fe(III) > Cd(II) > Ag(I) > Cu(II) > As(V) > Cr(VI) > Zn(II). As(III) and Cr(III) had no detectable effect. The effective free metal ion concentrations ranged from 10?6 to 10?9 M, except in the case of Fe(III), which was effective at 10?18 M. These metal concentrations did not affect algal photosynthesis. Therefore, a slightly enhanced ROS production is a general and early response to elevated, environmentally relevant metal concentrations.  相似文献

Asymmetric trigonal-bipyramidal Zn(II) complex 1 formed by 2-[bis(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethanol (L) was found to be able to promote the cleavage of supercoiled plasmid DNA pBR322 to the nicked and linear DNA via a hydrolytic manner but only in neutral Tris-HCl buffer, no cleavage was observed in HEPES or NaH2PO4/Na2HPO4 buffer. However, the copper complex 2 of L, possessing the similar coordination geometry, can only promote DNA cleavage via an oxidative mechanism in the presence of ascorbic acid. ESI-MS study implies that complex 1 exist mainly as [Zn(L)]2+/[Zn(L-H)]+ in neutral Tris-HCl buffer. Moreover, there is no discriminable species for complex 1 in HEPES or NaH2PO4/Na2HPO4 buffer. A phosphate activation mechanism via phosphate coordinating to Zn(II) center of [Zn(L)]2+/[Zn(L-H)]+ to form the stable trigonal-bipyramidal structure is proposed for the hydrolytic cleavage promote by complex 1. For complex 2, the abundance of [Cu(L)Cl]+ is higher than that of [Cu(L)]2+/[Cu(L-H)]+ in Tris-HCl buffer. The lower phosphate binding/activating ability of Cu(II) in complex 2 may be the origin for its incapability to promote the hydrolytic DNA cleavage. However, the readily accessible redox potential of Cu(II) makes complex 2 promote the oxidative DNA cleavage. Although the DNA cleavage promoted by complex 1 has no specificity, trigonal-bipyramidal Zn(II) complexes formed by asymmetric tripodal polyamine with ethoxyl pendent should be a novel potential model for practical artificial nuclease.  相似文献

The reaction of the β-diketone 1-phenyl-3-(pyridyn-2-yl)propane-1,3-dione, and the monosubstituted hydrazine 2-hydroxyethylhydrazine has been investigated. Two regioisomers were identified, 2-(3-phenyl-5-(pyridyn-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanol (pzol.1) and 2-(5-phenyl-3-(pyridyn-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanol (pzol.2) in 57:43 ratio. The separation of the regioisomers was done by silica column chromatography using ethyl acetate as eluent.Palladium(II) and platinum(II), [MCl2(pzol.1)2], [MCl2(pzol.2)], and zinc(II), [ZnCl2(pzol.1)], [ZnCl2(pzol.2)] complexes were synthesised and characterised. The crystals and molecular structures of [PdCl2(pzol.2)]·H2O and [ZnCl2(pzol.2)] were solved by X-ray diffraction, and consist of mononuclear complexes. In complex [PdCl2(pzol.2)]·H2O, the Pd(II) centre has a typical square planar geometry, with a slight tetrahedral distortion. The tetra-coordinated atom is bonded to one pyridinic nitrogen, one pyrazolic nitrogen and two chlorine atoms in cis disposition. The pzol.2 ligand acts as a bidentate chelate forming a five-membered metallocycle ring. In complex [ZnCl2(pzol.2)], the Zn(II) is five-coordinated with two Zn-N bonds (Zn-Npz and Zn-Npy), one Zn-OH bond and two Zn-Cl bonds. The coordination geometry is intermediate between a trigonal bipyramid and a square pyramid. In this complex, the ligand pzol.2 is tridentated and forms two metallocycle rings.  相似文献

A simple, rapid, sensitive and inexpensive approach is described in this work based on a combination of solid-phase extraction of 8-hydroxyquinoline (8HQ), for speciation and preconcentration of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) in river water, and the direct determination of these species using a flow injection system with chemiluminescence detection (FI–CL) and a 4-diethylamino phenyl hydrazine (DEAPH)–hydrogen peroxide system. At different pH, the two forms of chromium [Cr(III) and Cr(VI)] have different exchange capacities for 8HQ, therefore two columns were constructed; the pH of column 1 was adjusted to pH 3 for retaining Cr(III) and column 2 was adjusted to pH 1 for retaining of Cr(VI). The sorbed Cr(III) and Cr(VI) species were eluted from columns using 3.0 ml of 0.1 N of HCl and 3.0 ml of 0.1 N of NaOH, respectively. The flow injection–chemiluminescence (FI–CL) method is based on light emitted due to the oxidation of DEAPH by the H2O2 in the presence of Cr(III), which catalyzes the reaction. The flow cell is a transparent coiled tube made from glass (2.0 × 4.0, inner and outer diameter) and located close to the photodetector. The flow parameters: flow rate, sample volume, flow cell length, and distance to the CL detector were studied and optimized. Under optimum flow conditions, the Cr(III) concentration can be determined over the range 5–350 μg L−1 with a limit of detection of 1.2 μg L−1, as the Cr(III) concentration is proportional to the intensity of the CL signal. The relative standard deviations (%) for 10 and 50 μg L−1 Cr(III) were 1.2% and 3.2%, respectively. The effects of Al(III), Cd(II), Zn(II), Hg(II), Pb(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Mn(II), Ca(II), and Fe(III) were investigated. The proposed method is highly selective and sensitive, enabling a rapid determination of the Cr(III) amount in the presence of other interfering metals. Finally, the FI–CL method was examined in five river water samples with excellent recoveries.  相似文献

A study on the structure and magnetic properties of [Pr(NO3)(Pic)(H2O)2(EO3)](Pic) complex, where EO3 = triethylene glycol and Pic = picrate anion was conducted and characterized by single crystal X-ray structure analysis. Magnetic susceptibility (χM) was carried out from 2 to 300 K under both field-cooled (FC) and zero-field-cooled (ZFC) measurements with an applied magnetic field of 2000 Oe. The complex is crystallized in triclinic with space group . The coordination geometry around the Pr(III) ion was a tetradecahedron with a ten-coordination number. In the crystal, the molecular structure was stabilized by moderate and weak hydrogen bonding interactions between the cation [Pr(NO3)(Pic)(H2O)2(EO3)]+ moiety and [Pic] as counter-anion that led to the formation of a one-dimensional network. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of [Pr(NO3)(Pic)(H2O)2(EO3)](Pic) shows the presence of weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Pr(III) centers. The magnetic susceptibility for complex also obeys the Curie-Weiss law and is effective at high temperatures. Some factors that influence the photoluminescence intensity were also reported.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the new didentate ligand diethyl (pyridin-3-ylmethyl) phosphonate (3-pmpe) and three of its Zn(II) complexes are described. IR and X-ray analyses show that in the reaction of ZnCl2 with 3-pmpe in methanol three crystalline polymorphs are formed: [Zn(3-pmpe)Cl2]2 (1) and [Zn(3-pmpe)Cl2]n (2 and 3). In these crystals 3-pmpe acts as a didentate N,O-bridging ligand and Zn(II) are in a slightly distorted tetrahedral ZnNOCl2 environment. Zn2+ ions in 1 are doubly bridged by the 3-pmpe ligands, resulting in the formation of dinuclear species. In polymeric compounds 2 and 3 Zn2+ ions are singly bridged by the 3-pmpe, resulting in the formation of one-dimensional chains. Small differences in the conformation of the ligand in 1 and 2 have been found. The infrared spectra are in agreement with the structural data.  相似文献

Three 1-D transition metal-nitronyl nitroxide radical complexes with dicyanoaurate(I) bridges, [M(NIT3py)2][Au(CN)2]2 [NIT3py = 2-(3′-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide, M = Mn, Co, Zn (1-3)], were synthesized and structurally characterized. Three compounds are all isostructural in monoclinic, C2/c space group with Z = 4. The [Au(CN)2] anions link [M(NIT3py)2] units via μ2-bridging mode, leading to a linear coordination chain. The M(II) ion adopts a distorted octahedral geometry with four N atoms from [Au(CN)2] groups and two pyridyl-N atoms from NIT3py ligands. The magnetic behavior shows that the couplings are both weak antiferromagnetic between Mn(II) and NIT3py and between Co(II) and NIT3py.  相似文献

Titanium(II) solutions, prepared by dissolving titanium wire in triflic acid + HF, contain equimolar quantities of Ti(IV). Treatment of such solutions with excess Fe(III) or Ru(III) complexes yield Ti(IV), but reactions with Ti(II) in excess give Ti(III). Oxidations by (NH3)5Ru(III) complexes, but not by Fe(III) species, are catalyzed by titanium(IV) and by fluoride. Stoichiometry is unchanged. The observed rate law for the Ru(III)-Ti(II)-Ti(IV) reactions in fluoride media points to competing reaction paths differing by a single F, with both routes involving a Ti(II)-Ti(IV) complex which is activated by deprotonation. It is suggested that coordination of Ti(IV) to TiII(aq) minimizes the mismatch of Jahn-Teller distortions which would be expected to lower the Ti(II,III) self-exchange rate.  相似文献

The acid-base and coordination properties towards Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) of four polyamino-phenol macrocycles 15-hydroxy-3,6,9-triazabicyclo[9.3.1]pentadeca-11,13,115-triene L1, 18-hydroxy-3,6,9,12-tetraazabicyclo[12.3.1]octadeca-14,16,118-triene L2, 21-hydroxy-3,6,9,12,15-pentaazabicyclo[15.3.1]enaicosa-17,19,121-triene L3 and 24-hydroxy-3,6,9,12,15,18-hexaazabicyclo[18.3.1]tetraicosa-20,22,124-triene L4 are reported. The protonation and stability constants were determined by means of potentiometric measurements in 0.15 mol dm−3 NMe4Cl aqueous solution at 298.1 K. L1 forms highly unsaturated Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) mononuclear complexes that are prone to give dimeric dinuclear species with [(MH−1L1)2]2+ stoichiometry, in solution. L2 forms stable Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) mononuclear complexes that can coordinate external species as OH anion, giving hydroxylated complexes at alkaline pH. L3 forms stable Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) mononuclear complexes and Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) dinuclear [M2H−1L3]3+ species. L4 forms stable mono- and dinuclear Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes, but only mononuclear species with Pb(II). The effect of macrocyclic size is considered in the discussion of results.  相似文献

A computational study of chromium(VI) and (V) peroxides, which exhibit important genotoxic and mutagenic activity, is reported. Energies and equilibrium geometries for [CrVI(O)(O2)2(OH)], [CrVI(O)(O2)2(OH2)], [CrVI(O)(O2)2(py)], [CrVI(OH)(O2)2(OH2)]+, [CrV(O)(O2)2(OH2)] and species were calculated using molecular mechanics calculations (MMFF94 and MM+), quantum calculations with semi-empirical methods (RHF and UHF/PM3) and density functional theory (pBP86/DN* or pBP/DN* and B3LYP/6-31G(d). Equilibrium geometries for the compounds [CrV(O2)3(OH)]2− and [CrV(O2)4]3− were determined by molecular mechanics. Vibrational frequencies, standard thermodynamic quantities and electronic spectra were calculated using B3LYP/6-31G(d). The structural relationship between all these species and an explanation of the formation of peroxo species in the acid-basic pH range are given. An experimental study of peroxo species in basic medium was also performed (synthesis, X-ray powder diffraction patterns and infrared spectra of the peroxo complexes isolated) but did not confirm the existence of a tri-peroxo complex in the solid phase.  相似文献

We have studied the kinetics of the complex formation of gold(III) complexes, [AuCl2(en)]+ (dichlorido(ethylenediamine)aurate(III)-ion) and [AuCl2(SMC)] (dichlorido (S-methyl-l-cysteine)aurate(III)) with four biologically N-donor nucleophiles. It was shown that studied ligands have a high affinity for gold(III) complex, which may have important biological implications, since the interactions of Au(III) with DNA is thought to be responsible for the anti-tumour activity. The [AuCl2(SMC)] complex is more reactive than [AuCl2(en)]+. L-His reacts faster than the other N-donor nucleophiles in the reaction with [AuCl2(en)]+, but in the reaction with [AuCl2(SMC)] 5′-GMP is the best nucleophile. Gold(III) complexes are much more reactive than Pt(II) complexes with the same nucleophiles. The activation parameters for all studied reactions suggest an associative substitution mechanism. The cytotoxicity of gold(III) complexes, [AuCl2(en)]+, [AuCl2(SMC)] and [AuCl2(DMSO)2]+ was evaluated in vitro against chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells, obtained from blood of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The [AuCl2(en)]+ complex show comparable cytotoxicity profiles compared to cisplatin.  相似文献

The dihydrobis(3-carboxyethyl-5-methylpyrazolyl)borate ligand, BpCOOET,Me, reacts with divalent metals to yield complexes of general type [(BpCOOET,Me)2M], where M = Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), Pb(II) and Cd(II). All complexes have been fully characterized by elemental analyses and FT-IR in the solid state and by NMR (1H and 113Cd NMR) spectroscopy and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry in solution. A single crystal structural characterization is reported for [Cu(BpCOOET,Me)2] and [Zn(BpCOOET,Me)2]. In the two complexes, both metals are four-coordinated and they are only bound to the nitrogen atoms of the bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligand; however, while the environment of the copper atom is square planar, that of the zinc center shows a tetrahedral distorted conformation.  相似文献

The near-infrared (NIR) spectra of such metals as Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II) and Fe(III) in HNO3 in the 700–1860 nm region were subjected to a partial least-squares regression analysis and leave-out cross-validation to develop chemometric models. The models yielded a coefficient of determination in cross validation of 0.9744 [Cu(II)], 0.9631 [Mn(II)], 0.9154 [Zn(II)] and 0.741 [Fe(III)]. The regression coefficients for Cu(II), Mn(II) and Zn(II), but not for Fe(III), showed strong negative peaks at around 1050–1200 nm, a zone where spectral bands have been reported to decrease with increasing pH value. A positive peak at around 710–750 nm, which may have been due to water absorption, was observed in regression coefficients of Cu(II), Mn(II) and Zn(II) but not in Fe(III), while a negative peak was observed in that for Fe(III) at around 710–750 nm. These results indicate that the divalent cations [Cu(II), Mn(II) and Zn(II)] showed different absorption in the NIR region from the trivalent cation [Fe(III)], suggesting that the vibration mode of water, which mirrors the interaction between cations and water, may be influenced by valency.  相似文献

Potentiometric titrations of N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)glycine (bicine) in the presence of Ln(III) cations (Ln=La, Pr, Nd and Eu) in the pH range extended to ca. 9.5 reveal formation of two types of binuclear hydroxo complexes Ln2(bic)2(OH)4 and Ln2(bic)(OH)4 + (bicH=bicine) in addition to previously reported mononuclear mono- and bis-complexes Ln(bic)2+ and Ln(bic)2 +, which predominate at pH below 8. 1H NMR titrations of La(III)-bicine mixtures in D2O show that the complex formation with bicine is slow in the NMR time scale and confirm formation of hydroxide rather than alkoxide complexes in basic solutions. Formation of a different type of hydroxide species under conditions of an excess of metal over ligand is confirmed by studying the absorption spectra of the Nd(III)-bicine system in the hypersensitive region. The binuclear hydroxide complexes are predominant species at pH above 9 and their stabilities increase in the order La < Pr ≈ Nd < Eu. They show fairly high catalytic activity in the hydrolysis of bis(4-nitrophenyl) phosphate (BNPP) at room temperature. Comparison of concentration and pH-dependences of the reaction rates with the species distribution diagrams shows that the catalytic hydrolysis of BNPP proceeds via a Michaelis-Menten type mechanism, which involves the Ln2(bic)(OH)4 + complex as the reactive species. The values of the catalytic rate constants and the Michaelis constants are in the range 0.002-0.004 s−1 and 0.35-1.5 mM, respectively, for all lanthanides studied. The half-life for the hydrolysis of BNPP is reduced from 2000 years to ca. 10 min at 25 °C and pH 9.2 in the presence of 5 mM La(III) and 2.5 mM bicine.  相似文献

The variations in the coordination environment of Co(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes with the neutral, tridentate ligand bis[1-(cyclohexylimino)ethyl]pyridine (BCIP) are reported. Analogous syntheses were carried out utilizing either the M(BF4)2 · xH2O or MCl2 · xH2O metal salts (where M = Co(II), Cu(II) or Zn(II)) with one equivalent of BCIP. When the hydrated metal starting material was used, cationic, octahedral complexes of the type [M(BCIP)2]2+ were isolated as the tetrafluoroborate salt (4, 5). Conversely, when the hydrated chloride metal salt was used as the starting material, only neutral, pentacoordinate [M(BCIP)Cl2] complexes (1-3) formed. All complexes were characterized by X-ray diffraction studies. The three complexes that are five coordinate have distortions due mainly to the pyridine di-imine bite angle. The [Cu(BCIP)Cl2] (2) also exhibits deviations in the Cu(II)-Cl bond distances with values of 2.4242(9) and 2.2505(9) Å, which are not seen in the analogous Zn(II) and Co(II) structures. Similarly, the two six coordinate complexes (5, 6) are also altered by the ligand frame bite angle giving rise to distorted octahedral geometries in each complex. The [Cu(BCIP)2](BF4)2 (6) also exhibits Cu(II)-Nimine bond lengths that are on average 0.14 Å longer than those found in the analogous 5 coordinate complex, [Cu(BCIP)Cl2]. In addition to X-ray analysis, all complexes were also characterized by UV/Vis and IR spectroscopy with 1H NMR spectroscopy being used for the analysis of the Zn(II) analogue (3).  相似文献

Some zinc (II) complexes having formula [Zn(PziPr2H)(μ-PziPr2)(RCOO)]2 [(PziPr2H = 3,5-diisopropylpyrazole, RCOO = carboxylate ligands with R is CH3 for 1, CF3 for 2, CH3(CH2)2 for 3, CH3(CH2)4 for 4 and CH3(CH2)5 for 5] were prepared and structurally characterized by different techniques including single crystal X-ray. The X-ray studies suggested that all these complexes are centrosymmetric dinuclear with tetrahedral geometry around each zinc center. The pyrazole ligand is coordinated in both terminal as well as a bridging fashion whereas the carboxylates behave as monodentate ligand. All the complexes show hydrogen bonding between hydrogen atom of pyrazole (N-H of terminal pyrazole) and nonbonded oxygen atom of carboxylate. Out of these complexes only 5 [Zn(PziPr2H)(μ-PziPr2)(CH3(CH2)5COO)]2 exhibited emission at room temperature.  相似文献
