In experiments on dogs, changes of conditioned alimentary reflexes were studied under stimulation (50-100 mcA, 1, 40, 100 imp/s, 0.5 ms) of the basolateral area of amygdala before and after electrolytic ablation (5 mA, 60 s) of the head of the caudate nucleus. Stimulation of the amygdala, which elicited inhibition of conditioned secretory reflexes and prolongation of latencies in intact dogs leads to opposite - activating - influences after destruction of the caudate nucleus head. A conclusion is made on the participation of neurophysiological and neurochemical mechanisms of the caudate nucleus in transmission of inhibitory effects of the amygdala on alimentary conditioned reflexes.  相似文献

Properties were studied of elaboration of conditioned alimentary secretory reflexes to threshold electric stimulation of the caudate nucleus in dogs. The rate of formation of such a reflex and its magnitude were considerably lower than in reflexes elaborated to distant stimuli. Latencies were longer; dynamics of conditioned and unconditioned secretory reactions was similar to that of reflexes to a weak stimulus--light. The motor component of the conditioned alimentary reaction, as a rule, was absent. Characteristics were revealed of formation of alimentary reflexes to stimulation of the dorsal and ventral parts of the head and body of the caudate nucleus.  相似文献

In experiments performed on 9 dogs with alimentary method, extinctive inhibition was deepened and its elaboration was aceelerated by electrical stimulation of somatosensory and motor cortical areas and ventral segment of the caudate nucleus head. The extinction of the conditioned reflex was slowed down by stimulation of the anterolateral gyrus and the central segment of the caudate nucleus head. General motor excitation of animals during stimulation of the dorsal zone of caudate nucleus head impaired the elaboration of extinctive inhibition.  相似文献

Bilateral injections of 60 mcg of amphetamine and dopamine into the head of caudate nucleus produced in dogs a manifested impairment of parameters of Pavlovian alimentary conditioned reflexes but did not influence the conditioned differential inhibition. Injections of 10 mcg of haloperidol were ineffective. The most effective were the influences on the dorsal part of the caudate nucleus head.  相似文献

It has been shown that the effect of stimulation of the caudate nucleus head in the contralateral hemisphere differs at different stages of achievement of a defensive instrumental habit in dogs. Stimulation preceding the action of the conditioned signal or delivered simultaneously with the beginning of the latter did not change the criteria for the achievement of successive programs of the instrumental defensive reaction. Stimulation of the same areas in the last phase of the instrumental response, as a rule, lead to the cessation of instrumental movement. A conclusion has been drawn that in a defensive situation the inhibitory influence of the caudate nucleus on instrumental behaviour of intact dogs is not so sharply expressed as in experiments with alimentary reinforcement. In dogs with a preliminary ablation of the CI and CII cortical zones of the contralateral hemisphere, stimulation of the caudate nucleus head was attended with a sharp drop in every criterion of the instrumental defensive reactions.  相似文献

The influence of preliminary subthreshold activation of thalamic intralaminary nuclei on achievement of instrumental reflex and on inhibitory effects, caused by stimulation of the caudate nucleus head, were studied in chronic experiments on 5 dogs with a model of instrumental defensive conditioned reflexes, providing for maintainance of a given posture. It was shown that the preceding high-frequency electrostimulation of intralaminary nuclei activates motor components of the instrumental response (shortened latency, EMG and mechanogram of the response, increased amplitude of instrumental response) and significantly lowers threshold strength of the current, necessary for obtaining "caudate pause". The greatest increase in inhibitory influences, caused by stimulation of the caudate nucleus head, was observed when thalamic stimulation preceded stimulations, localized in the dorsolateral segment of the caudate nucleus head. The obtained data are discussed in aspect of Buchwald et al. hypothesis on the existence of "caudate loop".  相似文献

Ablation of the orbital cortical zones in dogs after ablation of the basolateral part of the amygdala and the caudate nucleus head considerably impeded the elaboration of secretory conditioned alimentary reflexes, without affecting the rate of elaboration of simple instrumental food-procuring reaction. The dogs lost however the capacity to differentiate non-reinforced stimuli from reinforced ones, which was revealed in both secretory and instrumental reactions.  相似文献

The characteristics of formation and achievement of motor conditioned reactions were studied in seventeen dogs before and after the lesion of head or body of the caudate nucleus. It has been shown that the degree of higher nervous activity disturbances depends on the localization of injuries in the nucleus, and on the complexity of the tests used. The caudate nucleus exerts a modulating effect on the parameters of motor conditioned reflexes and takes a direct part in the structure of delayed reflexes. Lesion of the caudate nucleus body is attended with more serious disturbances of higher nervous activity than lesion of its head.  相似文献

After serotonergic lesion by administration of 5,7-dihydroxytryptamine into the dorsalis raphe nucleus, effects of neurotensin microinjections into the caudate nucleus and substantia nigra on rat behavior were compared. Serotonergic lesions resulted in motivated excitement of rats manifested as an increase in the number of intersignal motor reactions during realization and, particularly, extinction of thirst conditioned reflex. Neurotensin microinjections into the caudate nucleus facilitated extinction of the conditioned reflex both in operated and control rats, but such microinjection into the substantia nigra facilitated this process only in operated animals. Neurotensin did not change conditioned reflex realization in both groups of animals but decreased emotional excitement of rats in the "open field". The behavioral effects of neurotensin in operated rats are connected with normalization of motivational and emotional states of animals and may be explained by recovery of interaction between the dopamine- and serotonergic systems. It is suggested that the mechanisms of this normalizing effects of neurotensin at the levels of the caudate nucleus and substantia nigra are different and are associated preferentially with its action either on dopamine- or serotonergic structures.  相似文献

Influence of microinjections of monoamines and glutamic acid into the caudate nucleus head on conditioned food-procuring reaction was studied in experiments on rats. Dopamine, noradrenaline and glutamic acid prolong the latency of the reflex, while serotonin reduces it. However, all the drugs tested reduce the number of conditioned food-procuring movements. The effects of dopamine are achieved through neurone receptors of the caudate nucleus which are sensitive to haloperidol and chlorpromazine; effects of serotonin are mediated through the D-serotoninoreactive systems, and those of noradrenaline, through the alpha-adrenoreactive systems of the neostriatum neurones. The inhibitory effect of glutamic acid is not due to the action on the serotonino-, adreno-, or dopamine receptors of caudate units.  相似文献

In Wistar rats with degenerated dopaminergic terminals of the caudate and accumbens nuclei (administration of 6-hydroxydopamine, 30 mcg, bilaterally), an alimentary conditioned reflex was elaborated in a T-maze. Degeneration of the caudate nucleus terminals disturbed the elaboration, while degeneration of N. accumbens terminals did not affect the learning.  相似文献

In cats with a preliminarily learned conditioned avoidance reaction, stimulation of the caudate nucleus inhibited behavioral response by lengthening its latency and reducing the number of conditioned reactions. Intensity of the inhibitory effect did not substantially depend on the localization of electrodes in the head or body of the nucleus and weakened within a few experimental days. D,1-amphetamine (0.5 to 4 mg/kg) and caffeine (10 to 10 mg/kg) suppressed the caudate inhibition, but the action of the drugs was manifested in different ways. The influence of large doses of d,1-amphetamine was characterized by a serious disturbance of behaviour and caudate inhibition of conditioned responses.  相似文献

A conditioned food-procuring reaction previously elaborated to an acoustic stimulus was reproduced in chronic experiments on six cats by means of direct electrical stimulation of the posterior parts of the lateral hypothalamus. Folloiwng extensive bilateral electrolytic ablation of the caudate nucleus, conditioned food-procuring reaction to the stimulation of the hypothalamus could not be reproduced for 40 to 70 days. The conditioned foor-procuring reflex to the acoustic stimulus disappeared for 14 to 30 days to be subsequently spontaneously restored. After caudatotomy, a diminution of the average amplitude of background oscillations and of evoked potentials to acoustic stimuli was recorced in the examined zones of the lateral hypothalamus. The part played by the caudate nucleus in the processes of alimentary behaviour activation is discussed.  相似文献

The study was carried out on dogs by the secretory-motor method with a two-side reinforcement. Simultaneous and unilateral lesion of the premotor cortex and of the dorsal part of the caudate nucleus head brought about prolonged disturbances of the vegetative components (pulse and respiratory rate) and in the choice of the side of food reinforcement. The change in the magnitude of conditioned salivation, latencies of secretion and motor reaction was temporary, and by the end of the third postoperative period their initial magnitudes were restored. The duration of the disturbances of higher nervous activity depended on the localization and extent of lesion of the caudate nucleus head. Tests were made with chlorpromazine and caffeine before and after the lesion of the brain structures. The tests in the postoperative period revealed latent disturbances in the dog higher nervous activity. It is assumed that the premotor cortex and the dorsal part of the caudate nucleus head are one of the sub-systems involved in the regulation of vegetative, somatic components of unconditioned behaviour and in the analysis of conditioned stimuli.  相似文献

It has been shown that during an orienting reaction a delta-rhythm sets in in the dog EEG of the caudate nucleus head, which coincides with facilitation of the recruited rhythm in the auditory cortex EEG and inhibition of the motor activity. It has been assumed that the caudate nucleus head is involved in the processes of limitation of non-selective movements during orienting reactions.  相似文献

Microinjection of noradrenaline in to the head of the caudate nucleus failed to influence the latent time of the conditioned reaction of avoidance and the muscle tone, but limited the motor activity and considerably increased the value and the latent time of the food-procuring reflex. Serotonin failed to influence the latent time of the conditioned defence reflex and did not alter the motor activity of rats; however, it shortened the latent period of the conditioned motor-food reflex and markedly stimulated the food-procuring reaction. Dopamine inhibited the conditioned food and defence reflex, but markedly stimulated the spontaneous motor activity of rats. The data obtained pointed to differences in the neurochemical mechanisms realizing the conditioned reflex reactions of different biological modality at the level of the caudate nucleus of rats.  相似文献

Functional significance of GABA-structures of the caudate nucleus was studied by EEG analysis of the influence of stimulation of these structures on the development of the effect of systemic introduction of the blockader of dopaminergic receptors haloperidol. Microinjections of GABA to the caudate nucleus prevented the suppressing action of haloperidol on food-procuring cats behaviour and led to restoration of the EEG-reaction to conditioned sound stimuli. A conclusion is made about an important role of GABA-ergic structures in the mechanisms of dopaminergic control of the inhibitory function of the caudate nucleus.  相似文献

Frequency changes of hippocampal theta-rhythm in the process of elaboration of coinciding or delayed instrumental alimentary reflex was studied in two dogs. Determination of dominating frequency of rhythmical activity was carried out by means of mathematical methods of analysis on a computer. It was found out, that during the action of conditioned alimentary stimulus the frequency of dominating oscillations became enhanced. Animals with a more frequent initial theta-rhythm formed the delayed alimentary reflex more rapidly.  相似文献

Changes of slow spindle electrical activity (12 to 14 cps) and evoked potentials in the cat caudate nuclei and the motor cortex were studied at different stages of elaboration of differentiation inhibition of a conditioned food-procuring reflex to acoustic stimuli. It has been shown that participation of the caudate nuclei in the inhibitory process begins at the stage of enhancement of food-procuring activity (second stage) and is apparently due to the animal's strong alimentary motivational excitation. At the third stage the inhibitory influence of caudate nuclei on the animal's motor activity in general, and the activity of the motor cortex in particular, develops to the full.  相似文献

The effects induced by nociceptin on morphine-induced release of dopamine (DA), 3,4-dihydroxyphenilacetic acid (DOPAC) and homovanillic acid (HVA) in the nucleus accumbens and nucleus caudate were studied in rats by microdialysis with electrochemical detection. Nociceptin administered intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) at doses of 2, 5 and 10 nmol/rat changed neither DA nor metabolites release in the shell of the nucleus accumbens or in the nucleus caudate. Morphine administered intraperitoneally (i.p.) (2, 5, and 10 mg/kg) increased DA and metabolites release more in the shell of the nucleus accumbens than in the nucleus caudate. When nociceptin (5 or 10 nmol) was administered 15 min before morphine (5 or 10 mg/kg), it significantly reduced morphine-induced DA and metabolites release in the shell of the nucleus accumbens, whereas only a slight, nonsignificant reduction was observed in the nucleus caudate. Our data indicate that nociceptin may regulate the stimulating action associated with morphine-induced DA release more in the nucleus accumbens than in the nucleus caudate, and are consistent with recent observations that nociceptin reversed ethanol- and morphine-induced conditioned place preference. Therefore, the nociceptin-induced reduction of DA release stimulated by morphine in the nucleus accumbens, and the results obtained with nociceptin in the conditioned place preference procedure suggest a role for nociceptin in the modulation of the behavioral and neurochemical effects of abuse drugs.  相似文献
