Updating the knowledge of assassin bug cockroaches (Blattodea: Blaberidae: Paranauphoeta Brunner von Wattenwyl): Species from China and taxonomic changes

The investigation into the cockroach genus Paranauphoeta Brunner von Wattenwyl is insufficient, and there is a lack of taxonomic documentation of this genus from China. Recently, the authors obtained some newly collected specimens which facilitated this study. In this paper the generalized morphology of Paranauphoeta is interpreted in detail, particularly for the male phallic complex, which is illustrated as a whole rather than in pieces. The taxonomy of Paranauphoeta species from China is revised. One out of four species recorded from China, P. indica Saussure & Zehntner, is removed; instead, P. kirby nom. nov. is recorded from China. Together with three new species described in this paper, namely, P. anulata sp. nov. , P. brachyptera sp. nov. and P. lineola sp. nov. , a total of seven Paranauphoeta species are now known to occur in China, whose habitus photos are provided. The new species confirm that this genus is wing‐polymorphic. Male structures, if available, are illustrated. Female structures and oothecae, of which knowledge is limited in this genus and also in cockroach taxonomy, are illustrated or documented, respectively. A key to and a distribution map of the Paranauphoeta species from China are provided. In addition, P. atra Shelford nom. rev. , P. sinica Bey‐Bienko stat. nov. and P. vietnamensis Anisyutkin stat. nov. are regarded as valid separate species.     

中国片尺蛾属分类订正并记三新纪录种(鳞翅目：尺蛾科：灰尺蛾亚科)

记录中国分布的片尺蛾属6种,并记述中国3新纪录种：黑片尺蛾Fascellina porphyreofusa Hampson, 1895; F. inornata Warren, 1893; F. rectimarginata Warren, 1894。文中提供了属种描述和鉴别特征,给出了种检索表及成虫和外生殖器图。     

中国突颊剑虻属一新种（双翅目：剑虻科：剑虻亚科：塞洛提剑虻族）

突颊剑虻属Bugulaverpa首次在中国被发现,自此分布于旧世界的塞洛提剑虻族Cyclotelini的3个属(环剑虻属Procyclotelus,沙剑虻属Ammothereva和突颊剑虻属Bugulaverpa)均在中国被记录。本文记录中国突颊剑虻属1新种:海南突颊剑虻Bugulaverpa hainanensis sp. nov.。该种额为亮黑色,仅在侧缘各有1个半圆形的灰白粉斑。单眼瘤被灰白粉。中足胫节褐黄色。雌虫生殖叉前缘有2个明显的突起。     

A STUDY ON THE GENUS BRYOMYIA KIEFFER (DIPTERA: CECIDOMYHDAE) FROM CHINA*

Abstract Four Chinese species of genus Bryomyia Kieffer are recorded in the present paper, among which, one species: B. puberula Li et Bu is described as new to science; two species; B. bergrothi Kieffer and B. gibbosa (Felt) are recorded for the first time from China. Key to the known Chinese species of the genus is given. Type specimen is deposited in the Department of Biology, Nankai University, Tianjin, China.     

A STUDY ON MINDARUS KOCH IN CHINA WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF NEW SPECIES AND NEW SUBSPECIES (HOMOPTERA: MIN-DARIDAE)*

Abstract This paper deals with the genus Mindam Koch from China. The phylogeny of the genus is discussed. M. keteleerifoliae is regarded as the most advanced species, M. obliquus and M. piceasuc-tus are more advanced than M. abietinus, M. japonicus and M. victoria. The origin centre of the genus may be in Europe and the differentiation centre of the genus may be in Hengduan Mountains Region of China. Geological distribution of the genus shows island-shaped pattern. Five species from China was described in this paper, including one new species, M. piceasuctus Zhang and Qiao, one new subspecies, M. abietinus triprimesensori Zhang and Qiao and one newly recorded species, M. abietinus abietinus Koch 1856. A key to the Chinese species of Mindarus is given. The specimens of five species from China are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica.     

Three new species and two new records of the genus Psen from China (Hymenoptera: Apoidea: Crabronidae)

Three new species of the genus Psen Latreille from China are described: Psen yunnanensis Ma et Li, sp. nov., from Yunnan Province; Psen lacuniventris Ma et Li, sp. nov., from Zhejiang and Sichuan Provinces; and Psen spinitibialis Ma et Li, sp. nov., from Zhejiang Province. Two species of the genus Psen are recorded from China for the first time. Modifications to the key to species of the genus Psen, as developed by van Lith in 1968, are presented.     

短痣金小蜂属中国首次记录及分种检索（膜翅目：小蜂总科：金小蜂科）

记录短痣金小蜂亚科Colotrechninae（小蜂总科：金小蜂科）中国1新纪录属：短痣金小蜂属Colotrechnus Thomson,及中国1新纪录种：绿短痣金小蜂Colotrechnus viridis (Masi)。这是短痣金小蜂亚科在中国的首次记录,提供了形态描述、分布及形态特征图,同时提供了短痣金小蜂属世界已知6种的分种检索表。研究标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所动物标本馆。     

毛唇蚁蜂属五中国新纪录种记述（膜翅目：蚁蜂科）

记述中国膜翅目蚁蜂科毛唇蚁蜂属5中国新纪录种:反毛唇蚁蜂Dasylabris adversa Skorikov,1935,古式毛唇蚁蜂D.gussakovskii Skorikov,1935,莫拉毛唇蚁蜂松戈尔亚种D.maura sungora(Pallas,1773),王毛唇蚁蜂D.regalis(Fabricius,1793)和济式毛唇蚁蜂D.zimini Skorikov,1935,并给出图示和中国毛唇蚁蜂属的检索表。     

中国裸瘦足蝇属两新种（双翅目：瘦足蝇科）

记述中国瘦足蝇科裸瘦足蝇属Cliobata Enderlein 2新种:浅褐裸瘦足蝇Cliobata ecruis sp. nov.和周氏裸瘦足蝇Cliobata choui sp. nov.。浅褐裸瘦足蝇的鉴别特征为体浅褐色,胸部褐色具黄色斑;翅近端部具宽的透明带;生殖叉褐色,其臂部几乎与基部等长,臂基部中央具新月形凹陷。周氏裸瘦足蝇的鉴别特征为体黑色;翅近端部透明带窄;生殖叉黑褐色,其臂部长于基部,臂基部中央具半圆形凹陷。新种模式标本保存在中国农业大学昆虫博物馆。     

Lobatiriccardia yunnanensis,sp. nov. (Metzgeriales,Aneuraceae) from Yunnan,China

Abstract

The genus Lobatiriccardia Furuki is reported as new to China, from the Dulong River valley, Gaoligong Shan range, Yunnan Province and this material is described as a new species endemic to China, Lobatiriccardia yunnanensis Furuki & D.G. Long, the fifth known species in the genus. The differences between the new species and the other members of the genus are enumerated, along with a key to all known species of Lobatiriccardia.     

中国蜡蚧科一新记录属（半翅目：蚧总科）

记述采自中国云南的1新记录属:类白蜡蚧属Ericeroides Danzig,1990及1新记录种:越南类白蜡蚧E.zaitzevi Danzig,1990。该新记录属近似于白蜡蚧属Ericerus Guérin-Méneville,二属均有成群气门刺及爪齿;主要区别是:类白蜡蚧属Ericeroides无背面管状腺及肛前孔,而白蜡蚧属Ericerus则有。文中对雌成虫形态特征进行了详细描述和绘图。     

Species of the genus Ilythea from China (Diptera: Ephydridae)

The genus Ilythea Haliday is recorded from China for the first time. A new species, Ilythea menglaensis sp. nov., is described, and Ilythea japonica Miyagi is recorded. A key to the Chinese species of Ilythea is presented.     

Genus Paracymoriza Warren from China (Lepidoptera: Crambidae: Nymphulinae)

This paper deals with 13 species of the genus Paracymoriza Warren from China. Paracymoriza multispinea You, Wang et Li sp. n. is described as new to science; Paracymoriza fuscalis (Yoshiyasu) is recorded for the first time from this country. A key to the Chinese species is provided.     

New genus and new subgenus of subfamily Doryctinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) from the Old World fauna

New genus Doryctoproctus n. gen. (type species D. africanus n. sp.) from South Africa, and new subgenus of the genus Pedinotus Szépligeti (Eopedinotus n. subgen. (type species Pedinotus (Eopedinotus) inopinatus n. sp.) from Philippines are described. The genus Pedinotus is recorded in Old World for the first time.     

First record of Isocapnia (Plecoptera: Capniidae) from China with description of a new species

Summary

The winter stonefly genus Isocapnia Banks, 1938??? is mainly distributed in western North America and eastern Asia, but has never been reported from China. In this paper, we report, describe and illustrate a new species of this genus, I. anguis n. sp. from Sichuan Province of China. This is the first record for the genus Isocapnia from China, extending the distribution of Isocapnia into the southwestern China. An identification key to all the Isocapnia species from Asia is provided.???     

Occurrence of velvet-fishes of the genus <Emphasis Type="Italic">Cocotropus</Emphasis> (Teleostei: Scorpaeniformes: Aploactinidae) in Vietnam waters with descriptions of two new species

For the first time, the genus Cocotropus is recorded from the South China Sea and in the Vietnam fauna. Two new species are described—C. astakhovi and C. eksae spp. n. They are compared in detail with 14 previously known species of this genus. The fauna of velvet-fishes of Vietnam is revised. Previously noted for Vietnam Paraploactis sp. is attributed to C. astakhovi.     

中华鳖阴茎头的组织学观察

2021年8月,在安徽省合肥市庐江县牛王寨采集到东亚腹链蛇属(Hebius)蛇类标本1号。经形态比较发现,该蛇明显不同于大别山地区已有的东亚腹链蛇属物种——棕黑腹链蛇(H. sauteri)和绣链腹链蛇(H. craspedogaster)。分子系统学分析显示,该标本与东亚腹链蛇(H. vibakari)遗传关系最近,且形态上符合东亚腹链蛇特征,提示该标本应为东亚腹链蛇。东亚腹链蛇是安徽省和大别山地区爬行动物分布新记录种,这也是该物种在中国东北地区之外首次被报道。该分布新记录扩大了对东亚腹链蛇的分布范围的认知,对东亚腹链蛇的种群分化和生物地理学研究具有重要意义。     

中国新记录种黑毛地蜂记述（膜翅目：地花蜂科：毛地蜂亚科）

对近来记述的古北区东部地区的毛地蜂属Panurginus Nylander全部14个种作了补充研究。中国对该属的研究较少,仅知2种：黑足毛地蜂Panurginus nigripes Morawitz 和黄跗毛地蜂Panurginus flavotarsus ? Wu。黑毛地蜂Panurginus niger Nylander为该属的模式种,分布于俄罗斯和蒙古,本文报道该种为中国新记录种。目前,中国已知该属3种,分属于2个组即niger-group和herzi-group。文中提供了中国已知种类检索表。     

Molecular phylogenetic and morphological studies on the systematic position of Heracula discivitta reveal a new subfamily of Pseudobistonidae (Lepidoptera: Geometroidea)

Heracula discivitta Moore is an uncommon moth species currently recorded from India, Nepal and China. Although this species has traditionally been placed in Lymantriinae, its systematic position in Macroheterocera has been enigmatic due to its unique morphological features. Here we used molecular and morphological data to explore the systematic position of H. discivitta. Our molecular phylogenetic analyses indicate that this species is sister to Pseudobiston pinratanai Inoue, a member of a recently established monotypic family Pseudobistonidae. The examinations of morphological features further show that H. discivitta shares synapomorphies with Pseudobistonidae. Based on the analysis results, we propose a new subfamily of Pseudobistonidae (Heraculinae subfam.n. ) to accommodate H. discivitta. The resemblance of the habitus to that of the brahmaeid genus Calliprogonos Mell & Hering is discussed.
