The aluminum (III) complex [SalenAlIII]Cl (1), (Salen = (R,R)-N,N′-bis[5-methyl-3-(4-methylpiperazinyl)-salicylidene]-1,2-diphenylethanediamine) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR measurements. The interaction of complex (1) with calf thymus (CT) DNA has been studied extensively by experimental techniques. Thermal denaturation study of DNA with (1) revealed the ΔTm of 5 ± 0.2 °C. Viscosity and steady-state fluorescence measurements showed that the complex cross-links DNA and the metal center is interacting with DNA during the cross-linking. Also, the phenyl ring in the complex may intercalate between the base pairs of the DNA during the cross-linking. Competitive binding study shows that the enhanced emission intensity of ethidium bromide (EB) in the presence of DNA was quenched by the addition of the metal complex indicating that it displaces EB from its binding site in DNA and the apparent binding constant has been estimated to be (2.8 ± 0.2) × 105 M− 1. Further, time-resolved fluorescence experiments confirm the binding of (1) with DNA and its cross-linking nature. Aluminum ions shown to precipitate DNA completely above the pH 6.0, but no such precipitation was observed with complex (1). The DNA–DNA cross-linking mediated by (1) is further confirmed by gel electrophoresis.  相似文献

Rectal temperature (Tr) was measured in captive African giant rats (Cricetomys gambianus, Waterhouse), live-trapped in the Savannah during the harmattan, hot-dry and rainy seasons with the aim of determining diurnal, seasonal and sex patterns.

Mean (±SEM) Tr in the morning (37.16±0.04 °C) was lower (P<0.001) than the afternoon (37.49±0.03 °C) and evening (37.66±0.03 °C). There was no significant difference (P>0.05) between afternoon and evening Tr during the harmattan and rainy seasons, but the difference was significant (P<0.001) during the hot-dry season. Overall Tr was higher (P<0.001) during the hot-dry (38.03±0.03 °C) than harmattan (37.17±0.03 °C) and rainy (37.21±0.03 °C) seasons. Tr of bucks was lower than that of does (P<0.0001) during the harmattan and rainy seasons, but sex difference during the hot-dry season was not significant (P>0.05).

Base-line Tr values for the African giant rats are shown for the first time. Season, time of day and sex influence fluctuations in Trs of African giant rats, and should be considered during diagnostic and clinical evaluations.

2-Phenylquinoline-4-carboylhydrazide (HL), and its novel nickel(II), zinc(II) complexes [M(HL)2(L)]·2H2O·NO3 (M = Ni (1), M = Zn (2)), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, and IR spectra. The crystal structure of [Ni(HL)2(L)]·2H2O·NO3 obtained from ethanol solution was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, crystallized in the rhombohedral system, space group , Z = 18, a = 31.913(3) Å, b = 31.913(3) Å, c = 27.709(2) Å, α = 90°, β = 90°, γ = 120°, R1 = 0.0647. The interactions of the complexes and the ligand with calf thymus DNA had been investigated using UV-Vis spectra, fluorescent spectra, CD (circular dichroism) spectra, CV (cyclic voltammetry) and viscosity measurements. These compounds were tested against MFC (mouse forestomach carcinoma) cell lines. The complex 1 showed significant cytotoxic activity against MFC cell lines. The cleavage reaction on plasmid DNA has been monitored by agarose gel electrophoresis. Results suggest that the two complexes bound to DNA via a groove binding mode and the complexes can cleave pBR322 DNA.  相似文献

Cytochromes c6 and f react by three et mechanisms under similar conditions. We report temperature and viscosity effects on the protein docking and kinetics of 3Zncyt c6 + cyt f(III) → Zncyt c6+ + cyt f(II). At 0.5-40.0 °C, this reaction occurs within the persistent (associated) diprotein complex with the rate constant kpr and within the transient (collision) complex with the rate constant ktr. The viscosity independence of kpr, the donor-acceptor coupling Hab = (0.5 ± 0.1) cm−1, and reorganizational energy λ = (2.14 ± 0.02) eV indicate true et within the persistent complex. The viscosity dependence of ktr and a break at 30 °C in the Eyring plot for ktr reveal mechanisms within the transient complex that are reversibly switched by temperature change. Kramers protein friction parameters differ much for the reactions below (σ = 0.3 ± 0.1, δ = 0.85 ± 0.07) and above (σ = 4.0 ± 0.9, δ = 0.40 ± 0.06) 30 °C. The transient complex(es) undergo(es) coupled et below ca. 30 °C and gated et above ca. 30 °C. Brownian dynamics simulations reveal two broad, dynamic ensembles of configurations “bridged” by few intermediate configurations through which the interconversion presumably occurs.  相似文献

A new Ru(II) complex [Ru(phen)2(mdpz)]2+ (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, mdpz = 7,7′-methylenedioxyphenyl-dipyrido-[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine) has been synthesized and characterized in detail by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The interaction of the complex with calf thymus DNA was investigated by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that the complex binds to DNA via an intercalative mode and serves as a molecular “light switch” for DNA. Moreover, the complex has been found to promote the photocleavage of plasmid DNA pBR322 under irradiation at 365 nm. The mechanism studies reveal that singlet oxygen (1O2) plays a significant role in the photocleavage.  相似文献

The interaction of [Ru(bpy)2(fip)](PF6)2 {bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, fip = 2-ferrocenyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]-phenanthroline} with calf thymus DNA and yeast tRNA was investigated comparatively by UV-visible absorption and luminescence spectrophotometric titrations, steady-state emission quenching by [Fe(CN)6]4 −, ethidium bromide competition experiment, DNA thermal denaturation, viscosity measurements and salt effect studies. The results suggest that the complex binds to the DNA more strongly than to the RNA. The density functional theory calculations were also carried out in order to better understand the nucleic acid binding properties. Agarose gel electrophoresis showed that the complex exhibited enhanced DNA-photocleavage capacity on pUC 18 plasmid DNA under irradiation at 360 nm as compared with a ferrocenyl-free analogous complex.  相似文献

Heat stress studies are often conducted using controlled laboratory exposures or field exposures. Each approach has limitations and provides a partial understanding of complex interactions between simultaneous environmental stressors. The question is how similar the responses are in each situation. Several physiological measures of thermal status were used to compare heat stress responses of cattle in controlled chamber stress tests and fluctuating field conditions. Angus steers (N=23; 318±8 kg BW) were first placed on either endophyte-infected or -uninfected tall fescue pastures for the field exposure, followed by a controlled heat challenge, which exacerbates the condition known as fescue toxicosis. During the controlled heat challenge, steers were assigned to diets of either 0 or 40 μg ergovaline/kg/d to maintain the treatment states. Respiration rate (RR) was measured via flank counting and telemetric temperature transmitters in the rumen of each animal monitored core temperature (Trum). Linear regression fit models for RR, Trum, and air temperature (Ta) were utilized to compare relationships between field and chamber exposure. Correlation coefficients for RR were similar during both chamber (R=0.69) and field exposures (R=0.72). Respiration rate showed greater responsiveness to change in Ta under field conditions having twice the slope (4.40 versus 1.75 bpm/°C) and a lower Y-intercept (−42.14 versus +30.97 bpm) compared to the chamber run. Ruminal temperature was consistent between exposures showing a similar slope (0.04 versus 0.03 °C Trum/°C Ta) and Y-intercept (38.40 versus 39.30 °C) for its relationship with Ta. Despite respiration rate being the more sensitive indicator of heat stress, ruminal temperature proved to be the most consistent between environments.  相似文献

To investigate patterns of thermoregulation in free-ranging and captive southern brown bandicoots Isoodon obesulus, we measured abdominal body temperature (Tb) of five free-ranging bandicoots over 42 days using implanted data loggers and Tb of three captive bandicoots over 3 months using implanted temperature-sensitive radio transmitters. Bandicoots in the wild had a mean Tb of 36.5±1.0 °C (range 33.4–39.8 °C) and showed a pronounced nychthemeral pattern with two distinct temperature phases. Tb increased at 13:30±2.6 h each day and remained high for 10.65±2.07 h, suggesting a crepuscular and early evening activity pattern. Daily Tb variation of I. obesulus would save considerable energy by reducing daytime thermoregulatory costs in the wild. Captive bandicoots had a similar mean body temperature (36.9±0.2°C) and range (33.0–39.9°C) as free-ranging bandicoots. However, the nychthemeral Tb pattern of captive bandicoots was different from free-ranging bandicoots, with a less pronounced daily cycle and the nocturnal rise in Tb occurring mainly at sunset and the daily decline occurring mainly at dawn.  相似文献

Two new Cu(II) complexes, [Cu(acac)(dpq)Cl] () and [Cu(acac)(dppz)Cl] () (acac = acetylacetonate, dpq = dipyrido[3,2-d:20,30-f]quinoxaline, dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:20,30-c] phenazine), have been synthesized and their DNA binding, photo-induced DNA cleavage activity and cell cytotoxicity are studied. The complexes show good binding propensity to calf thymus DNA in the order: 2(dppz) > 1(dpq). Furthermore, two complexes exhibit efficient DNA cleavage activity on natural light or UV-A (365 nm) irradiation via a mechanistic pathway involving formation of singlet oxygen as the reactive species. The photo-induced DNA cleavage activity of the dppz complex 2 is found to be more efficient than its dpq analogue. In vitro study of the photocytotoxicity of two complexes on HeLa cells indicate that both of them have the potential to act as effective anticancer drugs, with IC50 values of 5.25 ± 0.83 μM (1) and 4.40 ± 0.52 μM (2) in the natural light, and 2.57 ± 0.92 μM (1) and 2.18 ± 0.52 μM (2) in UV-A light. In addition, to detect an apoptotic HeLa body, cells were stained with Hoechst 33342 dye.  相似文献

A case study on Centaurea gymnocarpa Moris & De Not., a narrow endemic species, was carried out by analyzing its morphological, anatomical, and physiological traits in response to natural habitat stress factors under Mediterranean climate conditions. The results underline that the species is particularly adapted to the environment where it naturally grows. At the plant level, the above-ground/below-ground dry mass (1.73 ± 0.60) shows its investment predominately in the above-ground structure with a resulting total leaf area per plant of 1399 ± 94 cm2. The senescent attached leaves at the base of the plant contribute to limit leaf transpiration by shading soil around the plant. Moreover, the dense C. gymnocarpa leaf pubescence, leaf rolling, the relatively high leaf mass area (LMA = 12.3 ± 1.3 mg cm−2) and leaf tissue density (LTD = 427 ± 44 mg cm−3) contribute to limit leaf transpiration, also postponing leaf death under dry conditions. At the physiological level, a relatively low respiration/photosynthesis ratio (R/PN) in spring results from high R [2.26 ± 0.59 μmol (CO2) m−2 s−1] and PN [12.3 ± 1.5 μmol (CO2) m−2 s−1]. The high photosynthetic nitrogen use efficiency [PNUE = 15.5 ± 0.4 μmol (CO2) g−1 (N) s−1] shows the large amount of nitrogen (N) invested in the photosynthetic machinery of new leaves, associated to a high chlorophyll content (Chl = 35 ± 5 SPAD units). On the contrary, the highest R/PN ratio (1.75 ± 0.19) in summer is due to a significant PN decrease and increase of R in response to drought. The low PNUE [1.5 ± 0.2 μmol (CO2) g−1 (N) s−1] in this season is indicative of a greater N investment in leaf cell walls which may contribute to limit transpiration. On the contrary, the low R/PN ratio (0.05 ± 0.02) in winter is resulting from the limited enzyme activity of the respiratory apparatus [R = 0.23 ± 0.08 μmol (CO2) m−2 s−1] while the low PNUE [3.5 ± 0.2 μmol (CO2) g−1 (N) s−1] suggests that low temperatures additionally limit plant production. The experiment of the imposed water stress confirms that the C. gymnocarpa growth capability is in conformity with the severe conditions of its natural habitat, likewise as it may be the case with others narrow endemic species that have occupied niches with similar extreme conditions.  相似文献

We compared the accuracy of an ingestible telemetry pill method of core temperature (Tc) measurement and an infrared tympanic membrane thermometer to values from a rectal thermistor during exercise-induced heat stress. Ten well-trained subjects completed four exercise trials consisting of 40 min constant-load exercise at 63% of maximum work rate followed by a 16.1 km time trial at 30 °C and 70% relative humidity. Temperature at rest was not different between the three methods of Tc measurement (Tre: 37.2±0.3 °C; Tp: 37.2±0.2 °C; Tty: 37.1±0.3 °C; P=0.40P=0.40). Temperature rose continuously during the exercise period (ΔTre: 2.2±0.5 °C; ΔTp: 2.2±0.5 °C; ΔTty: 1.9±0.5 ±°C and there were no differences between Tre and Tp measurements at any time throughout exercise (P=0.32P=0.32). While there were no differences between Tre and Tty after 10 min (P=0.11P=0.11) and 20 min (P=0.06P=0.06) of exercise, Tty was lower than Tre after 30 min of exercise (P<0.01P<0.01) and remained significantly lower throughout the remainder of the exercise period. These results demonstrate that the telemetry pill system provides a valid measurement of trunk temperature during rest and exercise-induced thermal strain. Tty was significantly lower than Tre when temperature exceeded 37.5 °C. However, whether these differences are due to selective brain cooling or imperfections in the tympanic membrane thermometer methodology remains to be determined.  相似文献

A novel Ru(II) complex, [Ru(bpy)2(btppz)]Cl2, where bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine and btppz = benzo[h]tripyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c:2″,3″-j]phenazine, has been synthesized and characterized. The pH effects on UV-visible (UV-vis) absorption and emission spectra of the complex have been studied and ground- and excited-state ionization constants of the complex have been derived. The calf thymus DNA (ct-DNA) binding properties of the complex were investigated with UV-vis absorption and luminescence spectrophotometric titrations, steady-state emission quenching by [Fe(CN)6]4−, DNA competitive binding with ethidium bromide, DNA melting experiments, reverse salt titrations and viscosity measurements. The complex was demonstrated to act as dual molecular switches: pH-induced “on-off” emission switch with an on-off intensity ratio of ∼54 which is favorably compared with those reported for structurally analogous Ru(II) complexes, and a DNA molecular light switch with a luminescence enhancement factor of 22 as it intercalatively bound to the DNA.  相似文献

The combined thermal load created by exercise and a hot environment is associated with an exaggerated core temperature response. The elevated core temperature is believed to increase the total stress of the exercise. Increased stress during exercise has been associated with increased levels of cortisol. The association of cortisol with increased inflammatory responses following exercise in the heat is equivocal. Thus, the purpose of the current investigation was to explore the relationship between increases in rectal temperature (Tre) and TNFα and cortisol. To induce Tre changes, 8 male subjects (mean±SD, age=23.6±2 yr, VO2max=52.8±3.7 mL/kg/min, BMI=24.2±1.9) participated in two 40 min trials of cycle ergometry at 65% of VO2peak immersed to chest level in cool (25 °C) and warm (38.5 °C) water. Tre was monitored throughout each trial, with blood samples taken immediately pre and post of each trial. Neither cortisol nor TNFα changed significantly during exercise in the cool water; however, in the warm trial, both cortisol and TNFα significantly increased (p<0.004). Concordance correlations (Rc) between Δ cortisol and Δ TNFα indicated a strong but non-significant correlation (Rc=0.833, p=0.135). In conclusion, changes in core temperature may be impacting the relationship between exercise induced changes in cortisol and TNFα. Therefore, acute moderate-intensity exercise (40 min or less) in warm water impacts the stress and inflammatory response. Understanding this is important because exercise load may need to be adjusted in warm and hot environments to avoid the negative effects of elevated stress and inflammation response.  相似文献

A new ruthenium(II) complex, [Ru(bpy)2(Htip)]Cl2 {where bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine and Htip = 2-(thiophen-2-yl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline}, has been synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and mass spectrometry. The pH effects on UV-Vis absorption and emission spectra of the complex have been studied, and the ground- and excited-state acidity ionization constant values have been derived. The calf thymus (ct) DNA binding properties of the complex have been investigated with UV-Vis absorption and luminescence titrations, steady-state emission quenching by [Fe(CN)6]4−, DNA competitive binding with ethidium bromide, DNA melting experiments, and viscosity measurements. The molecular structures and electronic properties of [Ru(bpy)2(Htip)]2+ and deprotonated form [Ru(bpy)2(tip)]+ have also been investigated by means of density functional theory calculations in an effort to understand the DNA binding properties. The results suggest that the complex undergo three-step successive protonation/deprotonation reactions with one of which occurring over physiological pH region, and act as a ct-DNA intercalator with an intrinsic DNA binding constant value on 105 M−1 order of magnitude that is insensitive to pH.  相似文献

Remote measurements of body temperature (Tb) in animals require implantation of relatively large temperature-sensitive radio-transmitters or data loggers, whereas rectal temperature (Trec) measurements require handling and therefore may bias the results. We investigated whether ∼0.1 g temperature-sensitive subcutaneously implanted transponders can be reliably used to quantify thermal biology and torpor use in small mammals. We examined (i) the precision of transponder readings as a function of temperature and (ii) whether subcutaneous transponders can be used to remotely record subcutaneous temperature (Tsub). Five adult male dunnarts (Sminthopsis macroura, body mass 24 g) were implanted with subcutaneous transponders to determine Tsub as a function of time and ambient temperature (Ta), and in comparison to thermocouple readings of Trec. Transponder temperature was highly correlated with water bath temperature (r2=0.96–0.99) over a range of approximately 10.0–40.0 °C. Transponders provided reliable data (±0.6 °C) over the Tsub of 21.4–36.9 °C and could be read from a distance of up to 5 cm. Below 21.4 °C, accuracy was reduced to ±2.8 °C, but individual transponder accuracy varied. Consequently, small subcutaneous transponders are useful to remotely quantify thermal physiology and torpor patterns without having to disturb the animal and disrupt torpor. Even at Tsub<21.4 °C where the accuracy of the temperature readings was reduced, transponders do provide reliable data on whether and when torpor is used.  相似文献

The innate immune systems of humans and other animals are activated by lipopolysaccharides (LPS), which are glucosamine-based phospholipids that form the outer leaflet of the outer membranes of Gram-negative bacteria. Activation involves interactions of LPS with the innate immunity-receptor comprised of toll-like receptor 4 in complex with so-called MD-2 protein and accessory proteins, such as CD14 and LPS binding protein. The Lipid Metabolites and Pathways Strategy (LIPID MAPS) Consortium has isolated in large amounts a nearly homogeneous LPS, Kdo2-Lipid A, and demonstrated that it activates macrophages via toll-like receptor 4. The active form of LPS, monomer or aggregate, is controversial. We have therefore examined the aggregation behavior and other physical properties of Kdo2-Lipid A. Differential scanning calorimetry of Kdo2-Lipid A suspensions revealed a gel-to-liquid crystalline phase transition at 36.4°C (Tm). The nominal critical aggregation concentration, determined by dynamic light scattering, was found to be 41.2 ± 1.6 nM below the Tm (25°C), but only 8.1 ± 0.3 nM above the Tm (37°C). The specific molecular volume of Kdo2-Lipid A, obtained by densitometry measurements was found to be 3159 ± 71 Å3 at 25°C, from which the number of molecules in each aggregate was estimated to be 5.8 × 105. The aggregation behavior of Kdo2-Lipid A in the presence of lipoprotein-deficient serum suggests that Re LPS monomers and multimers are the active units for the immune system in the CD14-dependent and -independent pathways, respectively.  相似文献

The interaction of native calf thymus DNA with the cationic Ni(II) complex of 5-triethyl ammonium methyl salicylidene ortho-phenylendiimine (NiL2+), in 1 mM Tris-HCl aqueous solutions at neutral pH, has been monitored as a function of the metal complex-DNA molar ratio by UV absorption spectrophotometry, circular dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectroscopy. The dramatic modification of the DNA CD spectrum, the appearance of a broad induced CD band in the range 350-400 nm, the strong increase of the DNA melting temperature (Tm) and the fluorescence quenching of ethidium bromide-DNA solutions, in the presence of increasing amounts of the NiL2+ metal complex, support the existence of a tight intercalative interaction of NiL2+ with DNA, analogous to that recently reported for both ZnL2+ and CuL2+. The intrinsic binding constant (Kb) and the interaction stoichiometry (s), determined by UV spectrophotometric titration, are equal to 4.3 × 106 M−1 and 1.0 base pair per metal complex, respectively. Interestingly, the value of Kb is slightly higher and 10 times higher than that relative to the CuL2+-DNA and the ZnL2+-DNA systems, respectively. Speculations can be performed to rationalize the observed trend, on the basis of the electronic and geometrical structures of the three complexes of the same ligand. Analogously to what previously observed for CuL2+, the shape of the CD of the NiL2+-DNA system at NiL2+-DNA molar ratios higher than 0.5 is indicative of the formation of supramolecular aggregates in solutions, as a possible consequence of the electrostatic interaction between the cationic complex and the negatively charged phosphate groups of DNA.  相似文献

Three month old hatchling Crocodylus porosus with data loggers in their stomachs were placed in thermal gradients, in isolation (N=16) and in groups of 4 (N=8 groups; 32 individuals). Mean Tb and variation in Tb (SD) was not different whether individual crocodiles in isolation were fasted or fed, or if individuals were housed in isolation (I) or in groups (G). However, individuals in isolation (N=16) maintained slightly lower Tbs than those in groups (N=32) during the early morning (06:00–11:00 h). The overall mean Tb recorded for fasted individuals in the isolated and group treatments (N=48) was 30.9±2.3 °C SD, with 50% of Tbs (Tset) between 29.4 °C and 32.6 °C, and a voluntary maximum and minimum of 37.6 °C and 23.2 °C respectively. During the day (11:00–17:00 h), individuals in isolation and in groups selected the warmer parts of the gradient on land, where they moved little. Outside of this quiescent period (QP), activity levels were much higher and they used the water more. There was a strong diurnal cycle for fasted individuals in isolation and in groups, with Tb during the QP (31.9±2.09 °C; N=48) significantly higher than during the non-quiescent period (NQP: 30.6±2.31 °C). Thermal variation (SD) in Tb was relatively stable throughout the day, with the highest variation at around dusk and early evening (18:00–20:00 h), which coincided with a period of highest activity. The diurnal activity cycle appears innate, and may reflect the need to engage in feeding activity at the water's edge in the early evening, despite ambient temperatures being cooler, with reduced activity and basking during the day. If so, preferred Tb may be more accurately defined as the mean Tb during the QP rather than the NQP. Implications for the thermal environment best suited for captive C. porosus hatchlings are discussed.  相似文献

The most extensively studied ficins have been isolated from the latex of Ficus glabrata and Ficus carica. However the proteases (ficins) from other species are less known. The purification and characterization of a protease from the latex of Ficus racemosa is reported. The enzyme purified to homogeneity is a single polypeptide chain of molecular weight of 44,500 ± 500 Da as determined by MALDI-TOF. The enzyme exhibited a broad spectrum of pH optima between pH 4.5-6.5 and showed maximum activity at 60 ± 0.5 °C. The enzyme activity was completely inhibited by pepstatin-A indicating that the purified enzyme is an aspartic protease. Far-UV circular dichroic spectra revealed that the purified enzyme contains predominantly β-structures. The purified protease is thermostable. The apparent Tm, (mid point of thermal inactivation) was found to be 70 ± 0.5 °C. Thermal inactivation was found to follow first order kinetics at pH 5.5. Activation energy (Ea) was found to be 44.0 ± 0.3 kcal mol−1. The activation enthalpy (ΔH), free energy change (ΔG) and entropy (ΔS) were estimated to be 43 ± 4 kcal mol−1, −26 ± 3 kcal mol−1 and 204 ± 10 cal mol−1 K−1, respectively. Its enzymatic specificity studied using oxidized B chain of insulin indicates that the protease preferably hydrolyzed peptide bonds C-terminal to glutamate, leucine and phenylalanine (at P1 position). Kinetics of the reaction of octacarbonyl dicobalt with ethyl diazoacetate leading to [μ2-{ethoxycarbonyl(methylene)}-μ2-(carbonyl)-bis(tricarbonyl-cobalt)] (Co-Co) (1), dinitrogen, and carbon monoxide were investigated at 10 °C in heptane solution. The initial rate of the reaction was measured by following both the gas evolution and the decrease of the octacarbonyl dicobalt concentration. The rate is first order with respect to octacarbonyl dicobalt and a complex order with respect to ethyl diazoacetate and carbon monoxide depending on the ratio of their concentrations. This is in accord with the formation of a heptacarbonyl dicobalt reactive intermediate (k1 (10 °C) = (1.22 ± 0.06) × 10−3 s−1) for which carbon monoxide and ethyl diazoacetate compete (k−1/k2 (10 °C) = 1.34 ± 0.07).  相似文献
