Abstract. We explore patterns of diversity of plant functional types (PFTs) in Mediterranean communities subjected to landscape‐scale fire disturbances in a mosaic of uncultivated and old fields stands. We use regenerative and growth form attributes to establish two sets of PFTs of perennial species living in shrublands and pine forests of NE Spain. We test the following hypotheses: 1. Fire frequency decreases regenerative PFTs diversity by negatively selecting attributes with low regenerative efficiency. 2. Fire history has more influence on regenerative than on growth form PFTs. 3. The lowest diversity of growth form PFTs will be in old fields without recent fires. We surveyed stands of different combinations of fire and land use histories. Fire history included areas without fires in the last twenty years (unburned), sites burned in 1982 (1‐burned), and sites burned in 1982 and 1994 (2‐burned). Land use histories considered terraced old fields, and uncultivated stands on stony soils. We analysed patterns of PFT abundance and diversity at the stand level, and across the landscape (among stands absolute deviations from sample medians of the relative cover of PFTs). At the stand level, fire had more influence on the diversity patterns of regenerative PFTs than on growth form PFTs. Fire decreased the diversity of regenerative PFTs, due to the elimination of the species without effective mechanisms to post‐fire regeneration. This effect was not observed across the landscape, but seeders showed more variation in stands with longer history without fire. Land use contributed to explain the diversity patterns of growth form PFT (i.e. the number of growth form PFTs was lower in uncultivated, unburned sites), but it did not influence regenerative PFTs diversity. Patterns of PFTs diversity reflect the response to ecological processes operating at the landscape level. Overall, regenerative and growth form PFTs appear to be more sensitive to the fire history than to the past land use.  相似文献

The urban fringe is areas where land use changes and develops rapidly, analyzing land use changes and driving forces in urban fringe area is of great significance for landscape pattern and ecological environment construction. This study takes the Hunhe Bird Island area of Shenyang City as the research object, uses Landsat remote sensing images from 2005 to 2019 as the basic data, and uses the land transfer matrix and landscape index method to analyze the overall landscape environment and six land types. Using government policies and statistical data to analyze the driving forces of landscape changes. The research results show that the landscape matrix had changed, the overall landscape structure had changed drastically, the ecological environment was unstable, and human interference factors had increased, and the fragmentation phenomenon had become more and more serious. Each land type has different environmental changes. Except for the relatively stable water environment, other land types have different degrees of fragmentation. The reason is that the driving force of landscape pattern changes mainly comes from the influence of human factors, which is closely related to population, economic development and government policies. Therefore, future development and protection strategies are proposed for each land type in the urban fringe area. For the overall development of urban fringe area, it is advocated to make full use of land resources, strengthen the correct judgment and forecast of urban population and economy, formulate the correct urban boundary strategy for sustainable development, avoid the ecological environment problems faced by excessive land development, and realize the “Rational expansion” of cities.

Aim To enhance current attempts to understand biodiversity patterns by using an historical ecology approach to highlight the over‐riding influence of land‐use history in creating past, current and future patterns of biodiversity in fragmented agricultural landscapes. Methods We develop an integrative conceptual framework for understanding spatial and temporal variations in landscape patterns in fragmented agricultural landscapes by presenting five postulates (hypotheses) which highlight the important role of historical, anthropogenic disturbance regimes. We then illustrate each of these postulates with examples drawn from fragmented woodlands in agricultural areas of south‐eastern Australia, and discuss these findings in an international context. Location examples are drawn from agricultural areas in south‐eastern Australia. Results We conclude that there is limited potential to refine our understanding of patterns of biodiversity in human‐modified landscapes based on traditional concepts of island biogeography, or simple assumptions of ongoing destruction and degradation. Instead, we propose that in agricultural landscapes that were largely cleared over a century ago: (1) present‐day remnant vegetation patterns are not accidental, but are logically arrayed due to historic land‐use decisions, (2) historic anthropogenic disturbances have a major influence on current ecosystem conditions and diversity patterns, and (3) the condition of remnant ecosystems is not necessarily deteriorating rapidly. Main conclusions An historical ecology approach can enhance our understanding of why different species and ecosystem states occur where they do, and can explain internal variations in ecological conditions within remnant ecosystems, too often casually attributed to the ‘mess of history’. This framework emphasizes temporal changes (both past and future) in biotic patterns and processes in fragmented agricultural landscapes. Integration of spatially and temporally explicit historical land‐use information into ecological studies can prove extremely useful to test hypotheses of the effects of changes in landscape processes, and to enhance future research, restoration and conservation management activities.  相似文献

自1999年以来,黄土高原大规模地实施了退耕还林工程,生态环境呈显著恢复态势。采用2002年和2008年两期Spot5遥感影像,评估了退耕还林工程实施前后黄土高原典型农林复合流域土地利用与景观格局的动态变化。结果表明:在退耕还林工程实施的驱动下,流域土地利用变化剧烈,总变化率高达36.77%,主要变化的土地利用类型包括耕地、果园、幼林地、林地等。28.95%的耕地转为其他土地利用类型,其中48.83%转为果园,44.69%转为幼林地。景观格局变化呈明显的空间分布规律,山腰缓坡区以转化为果园为主,中、高海拔多转化为幼林地。退耕后流域生态景观得以优化,呈现良好发展态势。  相似文献

Over the last decade, historically low market prices for Coffea arabica have affected smallholder shade coffee-growing households throughout northern Latin America. In an effort to better understand household response to the coffee crisis and associated landscape changes, this paper examines agricultural production choices and land use patterns among Huastec Maya coffee-growing households. Using data compiled from 47 household interviews, I describe the cultural-geographical landscape in which the Huastec Maya land use system is embedded. In addition, I examine the economics of household production through a financial cost-benefit analysis and through an exploration of the relationship between land availability and land use patterns. Results show that economic inputs and returns from agriculture are highly variable, and that, in 2001, coffee cultivation was not a viable cash-generating strategy for most households. Land availability was found to have a significant effect on land use decisions, especially the proportion of land area devoted to fallow. Most importantly, however, the case study suggests that a purely economic approach does not suffice in explaining why the Huastec Maya continued to grow coffee in 2001, after years of low prices. Household production choices and livelihood strategies must also be viewed within a cultural context.  相似文献

Political ideologies, policies and economy affect land use which in turn may affect biodiversity patterns and future conservation targets. However, few studies have investigated biodiversity in landscapes with similar physical properties but governed by different political systems. Here we investigate land use and biodiversity patterns, and number and composition of birds and plants, in the borderland of Austria, Slovenia and Hungary. It is a physically uniform landscape but managed differently during the last 70 years as a consequence of the political “map” of Europe after World War I and II. We used a historical map from 1910 and satellite data to delineate land use within three 10-kilometre transects starting from the point where the three countries meet. There was a clear difference between countries detectable in current biodiversity patterns, which relates to land use history. Mobile species richness was associated with current land use whereas diversity of sessile species was more associated with past land use. Heterogeneous landscapes were positively and forest cover was negatively correlated to bird species richness. Our results provide insights into why landscape history is important to understand present and future biodiversity patterns, which is crucial for designing policies and conservation strategies across the world.  相似文献

旨在探索如何构建一种生态与经济发展兼顾的建设用地管制分区工作体系.以扬州市为例,选择防洪、水土保持、生物保护、乡土文化保护和游憩安全5个要素构建区域多层次综合生态安全格局,利用神经网络CA模型模拟无生态约束下的区域城镇建设用地扩展格局,将二者耦合得到优先建设区、有条件建设区、调整建设区、限制建设区和禁止建设区,并为每类管制区编制相应的管制规则.结果表明:①利用景观安全格局与城镇建设用地扩展格局耦合来进行建设用地管制区划分,优先考虑生态环境保护,再进行建设用地的安排,实现了生态与经济的双赢;②通过调整建设区的划定,为地方政府提供了新增建设用地适宜调整的区域,在建设用地管制的基础上,给予地方政府充分的自主权.  相似文献

景观生态主要是研究生态系统的空间格局。因而很有必要对空间格局进行数量化的分析,在此基础上进行科学管理。应用斑块数、斑块面积、斑块密度、优势度、聚集度和分维数计算了泾河流域31个县景观格局的特征,首次以景观特征值为基础,将研究区域各县景观进行分类,并对不同类型的景观特征及相关性进行分析。结果表明,近年来流域破碎化程度有所增加,各景观指数值在研究区域之间变异很大。优势度和聚集度比较高的区域土地利用较单一,常常是以农用地为主导如咸阳、泾阳和乾县,或以农地和草地共同主导如环县。而优势度和聚集度较低的区域,土地利用较多样化,农地、林地和草地面积比例相近,如泾源、平凉、陇县、宁县和旬邑,这些县位于黄土丘陵沟壑区和黄土高塬沟壑区。高优势度、高聚集度和低分维数的区域为陕西省咸阳市,为泾河流域冲积平原区,土地利用以大面积的农用地为主导。景观指数的相关分析表明,3种主要的土地利用面积比例之间存在极显著负相关,林地面积和优势度、聚集度有极显著负相关,而草地面积和分维数存在极显著正相关,分维数高的县位于泾河流域中游的黄土高原沟壑区,分维数低的县位于下游河谷阶地和关中平原和黄土高原交界处。这种相关性表明了自然地貌及人类活动对景观的影响和干扰作用。  相似文献

通过构建不同水平的景观安全格局,可以为区域的生态用地规划提供相应对策。香格里拉县近年来随着经济的发展生态安全问题已经提到日程。选择研究区内的5个自然保护区和风景名胜区为"源",以生物多样性保护为目标,选择地表景观类型、坡度两个因子及相应的阻力因子系数进行分析。采用GIS中的空间分析工具,计算建立了地表景观类型、坡度两个单因子的最小累积阻力面,在此基础上,利用加权叠加方法构建了两个因子的最小累积阻力面。根据最小累积阻力阈值,建立了"源"间生态廊道及"源"与外部联系的辐射道,确定了关键的战略点,最终完成景观安全格局的构建。基于生物多样性目标得到了低、中、高3个不同安全水平的生态用地分别占研究区总面积的12.81%、44.1%和80.3%。为制定研究区生态安全策略提供了重要参考。  相似文献

采用CLUE-S模型模拟方法,对基于历史发展趋势以及“天然林保护工程”和“退耕还林还草工程”政策下2000-2020年间岷江上游地区土地利用/覆被变化进行了预案分析.结果表明:2000-2020年间,按历史发展趋势,作为研究区景观基质的林地面积将不断减少,而灌木林地和草地面积将不断增加,景观破碎化程度将不断加剧;“天然林保护工程”和“退耕还林还草工程”能够有效增加研究区林地面积,并使草地面积不断下降,同时能够扭转景观破碎化趋势,使景观格局向着更加优化的方向发展.  相似文献

构建耕地景观生态安全格局是抵御区域耕地生态风险,保障耕地生态质量的重要举措。研究以南方丘陵区典型县-奉新县为研究区,选取部分景观格局指数构建南方丘陵区耕地景观生态安全评价模型,分析了县域尺度耕地景观生态安全状况及其空间聚集特征,并尝试应用地理加权回归模型探究自然和社会经济因素对区域耕地景观生态安全影响作用的空间地域差异。结果表明:耕地景观生态安全处于"危险"状态的行政村占研究区总数的12.92%,区域耕地景观生态安全问题存在明显的空间聚集性;地理加权回归模型较传统全局回归模型有较好的拟合优度,可以较好地揭示影响因素作用的地域差异;自然,社会经济因素对耕地景观生态安全的影响具有显著的空间非平稳性,依据影响因素作用强度的地域差异可以将研究区划分为距居民点的距离、地形位指数、年平均降雨量负向影响区和人口密度正向影响区。研究为确定耕地景观生态安全干扰来源及探究耕地保护对策如何落实到空间地域上提供了参考依据。  相似文献

The specific patterns of land use change that can be observed in many economically developed countries have fundamental implications on landscape structure and geomorphological processes. Areas characterized by widespread erosion such as badlands are often sensitive to anthropic modifications and of large interest in the analysis of the topographic determinants of land use change. This work aims to analyse the land use and landscape structure changes occurred in a Mediterranean landscape by analysing historical maps and infer the underlying processes that contribute to the pattern of change. First we carried out a comparative examination of three historical image datasets (1820, 1954, 2005) through overlay image processing and cross-classification analysis. Then we analysed the relationships between the detected land-use transformations and topographic parameters. Finally we determined the landscape structure change patterns through the use of GIS-based landscape metrics. The results showed how the study areas have experienced significant land use changes, mainly due to the abandonment of traditional rural systems. We found semi-natural areas distribution to be closely connected with terrain-shaping processes. The processes that underlie the multi-temporal landscape structure change have produced an overall increase of the landscape complexity. The work is one of the first attempts to use historical cartographic data to quantitatively assess changes in land use and landscape structure in the Mediterranean area. The proposed integrated methodology can support decision-making in landscape planning and may represent a useful tool to define effective strategies for biodiversity conservation.  相似文献

生态用地是区域生态服务功能的主要供给者,对控制区域生态环境起到关键作用,开展生态用地分类与保护,对实现经济与生态协调发展、保障区域生态安全具有重要意义。以江苏省宜兴市为例,基于前人对于生态用地分类与土地利用现状分类衔接研究成果,提取土地利用现状中的生态用地,借助景观安全格局理论方法,通过系统分析水土保持、生物多样性保护、乡土文化遗产保护以及自然景观保护4个与生态用地相关的重要生态过程,运用最小累积阻力模型构建区域综合景观安全格局,并将综合景观安全格局与现状生态用地进行叠加,得到低安全水平、较低安全水平、中等安全水平以及高安全水平4种类型的生态用地,各类型面积分别占研究区生态用地总面积的32.07%、44.38%、22.07%以及1.48%,针对不同等级的不同生态用地类型,提出了划定禁止建设区、防止水体污染、建设高标准基本农田等针对性的保护措施与对策。研究结果为宜兴市的土地利用规划与管理、城市可持续发展等提供决策依据,为其他类似地区生态用地保护规划编制提供参考。  相似文献

Land use and land cover change (LUCC) determines landscape patterns and affects the ability of ecosystems to provide the services and biodiversity on which humans ultimately depend. The Honghe National Nature Reserve is a biodiversity-rich area in the Jiansanjiang region of northeast China. In this study, the LUCC and landscape patterns were compared between the reserve and the Jiansanjiang region. With remote sensing (RS) and geographic information system (GIS) procedures, satellite images from 1989, 2001 and 2010 were used to calculate dynamics of LUCC amplitudes, landscape pattern index, transition matrix. The influence of LUCC on the wetland landscape of the nature reserve was discussed in the context of broader LUCC analyses. The results showed that land uses in the studied regions changed remarkedly over the time period; swamp area declined significantly as arable land increased. The ecological landscape index showed that distinct landscape patches were small, scattered and highly fragmented, moving toward a more monotonous landscape. Anthropogenic activities such as farming directly decreased the wetland landscape diversity. Furthermore, anthropogenic factors diminished wetland areas indirectly through climatic factors, namely air temperature and precipitation levels. National and regional policies on agriculture and water use have been highly influential, and the Honghe National Nature Reserve is highly susceptible to land use changes in the surrounding Jiansanjiang region.  相似文献

Spatial patterns are deeply linked to ecological processes and this relationship lies at the core of landscape ecology. In turn, landscape patterns are influenced by physical, biological and anthropogenic factors. The aim of this study was to explore how specific physical and biological factors, namely geo- and biodiversity features influence landscape patterns. The focus was on microscale relationships and we chose as our focus area a small scale study site covering 3091 ha characterized by vegetation mosaics with multiple patterns. We considered geology, soil and altitude (for geodiversity) and land cover classes (for biodiversity) as superposed layers and we aggregated their elements into a new combined mosaic. Several landscape metrics related to patterns such as landscape fragmentation, connectivity of habitats and ecotone properties were computed at the class level for the new mosaic and were used in multivariate statistical analyses. We determined the most important parameters by Principal Component Analysis. The first component was mainly linked to metrics related to size variability, while the second one was related to border complexity. In the reduced space, we delineated three clusters of objects that were characterized by different landscape patterns. We analyzed the underlying geology, soil structure and occurring land cover classes for each cluster. We then performed Redundancy Analysis using geo- and biodiversity features as predictor variables and metrics as response variables. While the land cover acted as explanatory variable for the first principal axis of variation, the geodiversity features (geology and soil) were related to the second one. Specifically, the occurrence of limestone yields more complex borders of patches; some phenomena are visible in situ, such as limestone appearing at the surface as outcrops (lapis) that induce irregular shapes of the patches. Overall, the analyses hinted that, besides the land cover class, the underlying geology plays an important role in defining landscape patterns, and this relationship can be revealed through the use of appropriate statistical tools. On the other hand, the study area is an agro-silvopastoral landscape, where local traditional management practices are also an important driver for the occurrence of specific patterns. Therefore, understanding the links between geo- and biodiversity characteristics and landscape features can contribute to developing appropriate management and planning strategies.  相似文献

海岸带是景观生态学研究的重要领域,并且取得了长足的发展。系统剖析景观生态学在海岸带陆地土地利用变化的景观格局分析与优化、滨海湿地景观格局破碎化及其生态效应、海岛开发和保护的景观规划与设计、近岸海域空间开发的景观格局分析与评价、海洋环境过程与空间格局的相互作用关系等领域研究取得的成绩及其存在的主要问题。在此基础上,结合我国生态文明建设要求,探讨了景观生态学在海洋生态文明建设中的研究尺度匹配、格局-过程耦合理论引导、景观格局指数量化考核方面的学科优势。景观生态学可以在围填海平面设计与规划研究、海岸带生态修复与景观建设、海洋保护区选划与管理、海岛开发与保护、海陆统筹下的海岸带综合管理等方面开拓应用发展领域,助力海洋生态文明建设,承担建设海洋强国、美丽海洋的新使命。同时也为景观生态学在近岸海洋资源环境中的应用、近岸海洋景观生态学的发展梳理框架与思路。  相似文献

土地利用与土地覆盖变化直接或间接地改变着景观生态系统的结构和功能,进而影响地表各种景观过程。地表景观过程的改变,必然对人类赖以生存的生态环境产生程度不同的影响。黑龙江省大庆市作为典型的资源型城市(以石油、草场和耕地资源发展起来),是人地关系作用最强烈的区域之一,也是土地利用发生急剧变化且具有特色的区域。揭示该区域土地利用的时空变化特征和变化规律,探讨土地利用变化的景观生态趋势及对生态环境的可能影响等,对于资源型城市生态环境改善,产业结构调整及实现资源型城市可持续发展尤为重要。为此,基于大庆市1978,1988,1992,1996,2001年5个时段的MSS和TM影像,获取20余年不同时期的土地利用信息,以GIS技术为数据集成分析平台,计算土地利用转移概率矩阵,景观格局指数和主要景观组分的转移过程贡献率,以期从景观格局的角度定量刻画区域景观过程对土地利用变化的响应。结果表明,区域内耕地不断增加,草地持续减少,建设用地和林地逐渐扩大,而湿地则一直大幅度减少;耕地和草地是区域的主要景观类型,但二者的景观动态及过程却不相同,耕地的景观过程表现为空间集中性加强,而草地的破碎化程度加强,景观组分间的转移过程频繁,景观不稳定;对维持当地生态系统稳定起重要作用的湿地景观,其破碎化过程最为明显且面积和平均斑块面积都在迅速减少,这种景观过程将对当地生态环境变化造成负面影响。草地退化,湿地萎缩和功能减退,沙化和盐碱化日趋严重等生态过程,是土地利用变化的景观生态过程响应,恢复与建设生态脆弱的资源型城市的景观生态系统,须对景观尺度上的土地利用方式进行合理的调控,而这一调控的有效途径在于政策、体制的调整和观念的变化。  相似文献
