It was shown in experiments on rats that emotional-painful stress resulted in a rapid increase in malonic dialdehyde (MDA) and in a decrease in the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in liver. Adaptation to moderate intermittent hypoxia in altitude chamber did not affect MDA and increased hepatic SOD by 65%. Stress exposure caused no change in SOD and MDA, but abruptly reduced the fall of SOD in adapted animals. These data are in accordance with the well-known idea that adaptation to hypoxia prevents the activation of lipid peroxidation and the hepatic damage in stress.  相似文献

Forty-nine patients with decreased fibrinolytic activity in the vessel walls or a decreased release mechanism, or both, were treated with ethyloestrenol for three to 17 months. Forty-five of the patients had had recurrent, phlebographically verified, deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and four had arterial thrombosis. Ethyloestrenol 8 mg/day was given to 31 patients and 4 mg/day was given to 12. The remaining six patients had been treated with a combination of phenformin and ethloestrenol. The phenformin was withdrawn but they were kept on ethyloestrenol 8 mg/day. Another 15 patients with a normal fibrinolytic system--four with recurrent DVT and 11 with severe arteriosclerosis--were given ethyloestrenol 8 mg/day. The spontaneous fibrinolytic activity, local fibrinolytic activity during standardised venous occlusion of the arms, and fibrinolytic activity of the vessel walls increased significantly after treatment with ethyloestrenol 8 mg/day for three months. No further increase occurred after three months, and ethyloestrenol 4 mg/day had no effect. No values rose significantly in the patients with a normal fibrinolytic system. One patient suffered a recurrence within three months of treatment, before the fibrinolytic system became normal. In one patient the fibrinolytic defect reappeared after 10 months in spite of continued treatment. Two of the three women of fertile age developed irregular cycles and intermenstrual bleeding, which disappeared when the treatment was withdrawn. No other side effects were observed.  相似文献

Plasminogen preparation from donor blood and fibrinolytically active blood plasma from humans after sudden death were obtained using affinity chromatography on Lysin-sepharose 4B. The plasminogen preparation from donor blood was shown to be highly purified native plasminogen (Glu-plasminogen). The preparation containing activated plasminogen (Lys-plasminogen), plasmin, plasminogen activator, alpha 2-macroglobulin, alpha 1-antitrypsin, fibrin/fibrinogen was obtained from the blood plasma of humans after sudden death. The appearance of proteins lacking biological specificity to lysin-sepharose in the plasminogen preparation shows the ability of activated plasminogen and plasmin to form complexes with these proteins and demonstrates the retention of the functional activity in lysin-binding regions on their molecules. Monospecific sera to the isolated preparations were obtained, demonstrating the presence of the same immunochemical determinants in native and activated plasminogen.  相似文献

The effects of supplementing a dairy cow diet with incremental levels of a fibrolytic enzyme preparation (preparation B) from Trichoderma longibrachiatum on the rumen microbial population were investigated. Two cows fitted with rumen cannulae were each fed a diet containing barley-based concentrate (52%), maize silage (29%), and chopped alfalfa hay (19%), supplemented with 0, 1, 2, 5, or 10 L of preparation B per tonne of dry matter (DM). Preparation B stimulated numbers of total viable bacteria in a quadratic manner (P < 0.05), to approximately 230, 330, 390, and 250% at 1, 2, 5, and 10 L x t(-1) DM, respectively. Preparation B increased the numbers of cellobiose-utilizing (P < 0.01), xylanolytic (P < 0.05), and amylolytic bacteria (P < 0.05), but had no effect (P > 0.05) on numbers of cellulolytic bacteria. However, when bacterial numbers enumerated on each substrate were expressed as a proportion of total viable bacterial numbers, only cellobiose utilizers were stimulated, and this stimulation was limited to the 1 L x t(-1) DM level of preparation B (P < 0.05). The results of this study demonstrate that the inclusion of an exogenous fibrolytic enzyme preparation in dairy cow diets increased the numbers of rumen bacteria that utilize hemicelluloses and secondary products of cellulose digestion.  相似文献
