The Palaeacanthocephala is traditionally represented by 2 orders, Echinorhynchida and Polymorphida, with 10 and 3 families, respectively. To test the monophyly of the class, these 2 orders, and certain families, phylogenies were inferred using nuclear small-subunit (SSU) and large-subunit (LSU) ribosomal DNA sequences obtained for 29 species representing 10 families, 2 other classes of acanthocephalans, and 3 rotifer outgroups. Phylogenetic relationships were inferred by analyzing combined SSU and LSU sequences using maximum parsimony (MP) and maximum likelihood (ML) methods. Parsimony and ML trees inferred from combined analysis of these rDNA data strongly supported monophyly of Palaeacanthocephala and provided good resolution among species. Neither Polymorphida nor Echinorhynchida was monophyletic. Gorgorhynchoides bullocki (Echinorhynchida) was nested within the 6 species representing Polymorphida, and this clade was nested within species representing Echinorhynchida. Three of 4 palaeacanthocephalan families that could be evaluated were not monophyletic, and this finding was strongly supported. These results indicate that the family level classification of palaeacanthocephalans, which is mainly based on combinations of shared characters (not shared derived characters), needs to be reevaluated with respect to comprehensively sampled phylogenetic hypotheses.  相似文献

Nucleotide sequences of the D3 expansion segment and its flanking regions of the 28S rDNA gene were used to evaluate phylogenetic relationships among representative sexual and asexual oribatid mites (Oribatida, Acariformes). The aim of this study was to investigate the hypothesis that oribatid mites consist of species-rich clusters of asexual species that may have radiated while being parthenogenetic. Furthermore, the systematic position of the astigmate mites (Astigmata, Acariformes) which have been hypothesised to represent a paedomorphic lineage within the oribatid mites, is investigated. This is the first phylogenetic tree for oribatid mites s.l. (incl. Astigmata) based on nucleotide sequences. Intraspecific genetic variation in the D3 region was very low, confirming the hypothesis that this region is a good species marker. Results from neighbour joining (NJ) and maximum parsimony (MP) algorithms indicate that several species-rich parthenogenetic groups like Camisiidae, Nanhermanniidae and Malaconothridae are monophyletic, consistent with the hypothesis that some oribatid mite groups diversified despite being parthenogenetic. The MP and maximum likelihood (ML) method indicated that the D3 region is a good tool for elucidating the relationship of oribatid mite species on a small scale(genera, families) but is not reliable for large-scale taxonomy, because branches from the NJ algorithm collapsed in the MP and ML tree. In all trees calculated by different algorithms the Astigmata clustered within the oribatid mites, as proposed earlier.  相似文献

We estimated phylogenetic relationships among 16 species of harvest mice using sequences from the mitochondrial cytochrome b (cyt b) gene. Gene phylogenies constructed using maximum parsimony (MP), maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) optimality criteria were largely congruent and arranged taxa into two groups corresponding to the two recognized subgenera (Aporodon and Reithrodontomys). All analyses also recovered R. mexicanus and R. microdon as polyphyletic, although greater resolution was obtained using ML and BI approaches. Within R. mexicanus, three clades were identified with high nodal support (MP and ML bootstrap, Bremer decay and Bayesian posterior probabilities). One represented a subspecies of R. mexicanus from Costa Rica (R. m. cherrii) and a second was distributed in the Sierra Madre Oriental of Mexico. The third R. mexicanus clade consisted of mice from southern Mexico southward to South America. Polyphyly between the two moieties of R. microdon corresponded to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in southern Mexico. Populations of R. microdon microdon to the east of the isthmus (Chiapas, Mexico) grouped with R. tenuirostris, whereas samples of R. m. albilabris to the west in Oaxaca, Mexico, formed a clade with R. bakeri. Within the subgenus Reithrodontomys, all analyses recovered R. montanus and R. raviventris as sister taxa, a finding consistent with earlier studies based on allozymes and cyt b data. There was also strong support (ML and BI criteria) for a clade consisting of ((R. megalotis, R. zacatecae) (R. sumichrasti)). In addition, cytb gene phylogenies (MP, ML, and BI) recovered R. fulvescens and R. hirsutus (ML and BI) as basal taxa within the subgenus Reithrodontomys. Constraint analyses demonstrated that tree topologies treating the two subgenera (Aporodon and Reithrodontomys) as monophyletic (ML criterion) was significantly better (p>0.036) and supported polyphyly of R. mexicanus (both ML and MP criteria - p>0.013) and R. microdon (MP criterion only for certain topologies; p>0.02). Although several species-level taxa were identified based on multiple, independent data sets, we recommended a conservative approach which will involve thorough analyses of museum specimens including material from type localities together with additional sampling and data from multiple, nuclear gene markers.  相似文献

A collection of 247 true morels (Morchella spp.) primarily from the Mediterranean and Aegean Regions of Southern Turkey, were analyzed for species diversity using partial RNA polymerase I (RPB1) and nuclear ribosomal large subunit (LSU) rDNA gene sequences. Based on the result of this initial screen, 62 collections representing the full range of genetic diversity sampled were subjected to multigene phylogenetic species recognition based on genealogical concordance (GCPSR). The 62-taxon dataset consisted of partial sequences from three nuclear protein-coding genes, RNA polymerase I (RPB1), RNA polymerase II (RPB2), translation elongation factor (EF1-α), and partial LSU rDNA gene sequences. Phylogenetic analyses of the individual and combined datasets, using maximum parsimony (MP) and maximum likelihood (ML), yielded nearly fully resolved phylogenies that were highly concordant topologically. GCPSR analysis of the 62-taxon dataset resolved 15 putative phylogenetically distinct species. The early diverging Elata (black morels) and Esculenta Clades (yellow morels) were represented, respectively, by 13 and two species. Because a Latin binomial can be applied with confidence to only one of the 15 species (Morchella semilibera), species were identified by clade (Mel for Elata and Mes for Esculenta) followed by a unique Arabic number for each species within these two clades. Eight of the species within the Elata Clade appear to be novel, including all seven species within the Mel-20-to-31 subclade and its sister designated Mel-25. Results of the present study provide essential data for ensuring the sustainability of morel harvests through the formulation of sound conservation policies.  相似文献

We investigated the phylogenetic relationships among most Chinese species of lizards in the genus Phrynocephalus (118 individuals collected from 56 populations of 14 well-defined species and several unidentified specimens) using four mitochondrial gene fragments (12S rRNA, 16S rRNA, cytochrome b, and ND4-tRNA(LEU)). The partition-homogeneity tests indicated that the combined dataset was homogeneous, and maximum-parsimony (MP), neighbor-joining (NJ), maximum-likelihood (ML) and Bayesian (BI) analyses were performed on this combined dataset (49 haplotypes including outgroups for 2058bp in total). The maximum-parsimony analysis resulted in 24 equally parsimonious trees, and their strict consensus tree shows that there are two major clades representing the Chinese Phrynocephalus species: the viviparous group (Clade A) and the oviparous group (Clade B). The trees derived from Bayesian, ML, and NJ analyses were topologically identical to the MP analysis except for the position of P. mystaceus. All analyses left the nodes for the oviparous group, the most basal clade within the oviparous group, and P. mystaceus unresolved. The phylogenies further suggest that the monophyly of the viviparous species may have resulted from vicariance, while recent dispersal may have been important in generating the pattern of variation among the oviparous species.  相似文献

本文的目的是通过对斑翅蝗科部分种类的线粒体ND2基因进行分析,重建斑翅蝗科昆虫的系统发育关系,并探讨分子系统发育关系和传统分类结果的异同。扩增并测定了我国斑翅蝗科10属16种蝗虫的线粒体ND2全基因1 023 bp的序列,对序列的碱基组成、转换颠换、系统发育信号等进行了分析。并基于ND2全基因序列数据,分别采用邻接法(NJ)、最简约法(MP)、最大似然法(ML)和贝叶斯法重建了10属16种蝗虫的系统发育关系。结果表明:斑翅蝗科蝗虫ND2全基因A+T含量平均为74.6%;痂蝗亚科和异痂蝗亚科没能得到区分,建议合并为一个亚科;而斑翅蝗亚科和飞蝗亚科的分类地位还存在争议。  相似文献

【目的】利用核糖体DNA联合序列探讨天牛总科高阶元分子系统发育。【方法】本研究采用分子标记技术,分析测定了63种天牛核糖体28S rDNA D2和D3区以及18S rDNA V4和V7区的DNA序列,并采用邻接法、最大似然法和贝叶斯推论法分别构建了天牛总科2科6亚科63种的分子进化系统。【结果】序列联合比对分析,最终得到1 404 bp的联合数据组,其中可变位点446个(32.0%),保守位点958(68.0%),转换/颠换的平均值(R值)为1.73。28S rDNA和18S rDNA以及联合序列的饱和度分析显示碱基突变未达到饱和,说明这些序列适合于分子进化树的构建。利用不同系统发育重建方法得到进化树具有相似拓扑结构,结果支持沟胫天牛亚科、花天牛亚科和天牛亚科为单系群,这与形态学分类结果相似;狭胸天牛独立成为亚科得到了支持。【结论】利用28S rDNA D2和D3区以及18S rDNA V4和V7区联合序列成功构建出了天牛总科高阶元的系统发育树。研究表明联合序列分析是探讨天牛高阶元分类的有效的方法。  相似文献

The phylogenetic placement of the Aquifex and Thermotoga lineages has been inferred from (i) the concatenated ribosomal proteins S10, L3, L4, L23, L2, S19, L22, and S3 encoded in the S10 operon (833 aa positions); (ii) the joint sequences of the elongation factors Tu(1α) and G(2) coded by the str operon tuf and fus genes (733 aa positions); and (iii) the joint RNA polymerase β- and β′-type subunits encoded in the rpoBC operon (1130 aa positions). Phylogenies of r-protein and EF sequences support with moderate (r-proteins) to high statistical confidence (EFs) the placement of the two hyperthermophiles at the base of the bacterial clade in agreement with phylogenies of rRNA sequences. In the more robust EF-based phylogenies, the branching of Aquifex and Thermotoga below the successive bacterial lineages is given at bootstrap proportions of 82% (maximum likelihood; ML) and 85% (maximum parsimony; MP), in contrast to the trees inferred from the separate EF-Tu(1α) and EF-G(2) data sets, which lack both resolution and statistical robustness. In the EF analysis MP outperforms ML in discriminating (at the 0.05 level) trees having A. pyrophilus and T. maritima as the most basal lineages from competing alternatives that have (i) mesophiles, or the Thermus genus, as the deepest bacterial radiation and (ii) a monophyletic A. pyrophilusT. maritima cluster situated at the base of the bacterial clade. RNAP-based phylogenies are equivocal with respect to the Aquifex and Thermotoga placements. The two hyperthermophiles fall basal to all other bacterial phyla when potential artifacts contributed by the compositionally biased and fast-evolving Mycoplasma genitalium and Mycoplasma pneumoniae sequences are eschewed. However, the branching order of the phyla is tenuously supported in ML trees inferred by the exhaustive search method and is unresolved in ML trees inferred by the quartet puzzling algorithm. A rooting of the RNA polymerase-subunit tree at the mycoplasma level seen in both the MP trees and the ML trees reconstructed with suboptimal amino acid substitution models is not supported by the EF-based phylogenies which robustly affiliate mycoplasmas with low-G+C gram-positives and, most probably, reflects a ``long branch attraction' artifact. Species of Pseudocorynosoma are North and South American acanthocephalans that use waterfowl as definitive hosts and amphipods as intermediate hosts, whereas species of Andracantha occur in fish-eating birds with a worldwide distribution. Pseudocorynosoma and Andracantha were originally described as Corynosoma (now restricted to endoparasites of marine mammals). Morphologically, Andracantha is distinct from other genera of Polymorphidae in possessing 2 fields of spines on the trunk, whereas Corynosoma and Pseudocorynosoma have a single field. A recent phylogenetic hypothesis based on morphological characters suggested that Andracantha is closely related to Corynosoma, whereas Pseudocorynosoma was of uncertain phylogenetic position within the Polymorphidae. To test the systematic affinities of these 3 genera, we sequenced 2 nuclear genes (SSU and LSU ribosomal DNA) and 1 mitochondrial gene (cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1; cox 1) of species representing Corynosoma, Andracantha, and Pseudocorynosoma and analyzed the data, including available sequences of other polymorphids. Maximum parsimony (MP), maximum likelihood (ML), and Bayesian analyses of the combined (SSU + LSU) sequences and the concatenated data of 3 genes (SSU + LSU + cox 1) placed Andracantha as the sister taxon to Corynosoma with robust support values. All analyses also showed that Pseudocorynosoma is an independent lineage that does not share a common ancestry with Andracantha and Corynosoma. These phylogenetic hypotheses suggest that birds were the ancestral hosts of polymorphids and that the association of Corynosoma with marine mammals represents a subsequent episode of colonization.  相似文献

Phylogenies based on ITS and LSU nrDNA sequences show Agaricus (Gymnopus) acervatus as unique within the Gymnopus/Rhodocollybia complex. These phylogenies imply that a separate genus is necessary, and Connopus is proposed. Infraspecific morphological and DNA-based variation within C. acervatus suggests that a western North American clade might be reproductively isolated from the eastern North American/Scandinavian clade and that in this species complex the European and eastern North American clade might be conspecific. A Scandinavian exemplar is selected for bar-coding. Two GenBank sequences with name-phylogenetic placement inconsistencies are identified.  相似文献

The D1/D2 domains of large subunit (LSU) rDNA have commonly been used for phylogenetic analyses of dinoflagellates; however, their properties have not been evaluated in relation to other D domains due to a deficiency of complete sequences. This study reports the complete LSU rRNA gene sequence in the causative unarmored dinoflagellate Cochlodinium polykrikoides, a member of the order Gymnodiniales, and evaluated the segmented domains and secondary structures when compared with its relatives. Putative LSU rRNA coding regions were recorded to be 3433 bp in length (49.0% GC content). A secondary structure predicted from the LSU and 5.8S rRNAs and parsimony analyses showed that most variation in the LSU rDNA was found in the 12 divergent (D) domains. In particular, the D2 domain was the most informative in terms of recent evolutional and taxonomic aspects, when compared with both the phylogenetic tree topologies and molecular distance (approximately 10 times higher) of the core LSU. Phylogenetic analysis was performed with a matrix of LSU DNA sequences selected from domains D2 to D4 and their flanking core sequences, which showed that C. polykrikoides was placed on the same branch with Akashiwo sanguinea in the “GPP” complex, which is referred to the gymnodinioid, peridinioid and prorocentroid groups. A broad phylogeny showed that armored and unarmored dinoflagellates were never clustered together; instead, they were clearly divided into two groups: the GPP complex and Gonyaulacales. The members of Gymnodiniales were always interspersed with peridinioid, prorocentroid and dinophysoid forms. This supports previous findings showing that the Gymnodiniales are polyphyletic. This study highlights the proper selection of LSU rDNA molecules for molecular phylogeny and signatures.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: During the evolutionary history of transposable elements, some processes, such as ancestral polymorphisms and horizontal transfer of sequences between species, can produce incongruences in phylogenies. We investigated the evolutionary history of the transposable elements Bari and 412 in the sequenced genomes of the Drosophila melanogaster group and in the sibling species D. melanogaster and D. simulans using traditional phylogenetic and network approaches. RESULTS: The maximum likelihood (ML) phylogenetic analyses revealed incongruences and unresolved relationships for both the Bari and 412 elements. The DNA transposon Bari within the D. ananassae genome is more closely related to the element of the melanogaster complex than to the sequence in D. erecta, which is inconsistent with the species phylogeny. Divergence analysis and the comparison of the rate of synonymous substitutions per synonymous site of the Bari and host gene sequences explain the incongruence as an ancestral polymorphism inherited stochastically by the derived species. Unresolved relationships were observed in the ML phylogeny of both elements involving D. melanogaster, D. simulans and D. sechellia. A network approach was used to attempt to resolve these relationships. The resulting tree suggests recent transfers of both elements between D. melanogaster and D. simulans. The divergence values of the elements between these species support this conclusion. CONCLUSIONS: We showed that an ancestral polymorphism and recent invasion of genomes due to introgression or horizontal transfer between species occurred during the evolutionary history of the Bari and 412 elements in the melanogaster group. These invasions likely occurred in Africa during the Pleistocene, before the worldwide expansion of D. melanogaster and D. simulans.  相似文献

The genus Alexandrium includes organisms of interest, both for the study of dinoflagellate evolution and for their impacts as toxic algae affecting human health and fisheries. Only partial large subunit (LSU) rDNA sequences of Alexandrium and other dinoflagellates are available, although they contain much genetic information. Here, we report complete LSU rDNA sequences from 11 strains of Alexandrium, including Alexandrium affine, Alexandrium catenella, Alexandrium fundyense, Alexandrium minutum, and Alexandrium tamarense, and discuss their segmented domains and structure. Putative LSU rRNA coding regions were recorded to be around 3,400 bp long. Their GC content (about 43.7%) is among the lowest when compared with other organisms. Furthermore, no AT-rich regions were found in Alexandrium LSU rDNA, although a low GC content was recorded within the LSU rDNA. No intron-like sequences were found. The secondary structure of the LSU rDNA and parsimony analyses showed that most variation in LSU rDNA is found in the divergent (D) domains with the D2 region being the most informative. This high D domain variability can allow members of the diverse Alexandrium genus to be categorized at the species level. In addition, phylogenetic analysis of the alveolate group using the complete LSU sequences strongly supported previous findings that the dinoflagellates and apicomplexans form a clade.  相似文献

Up to few years ago, the phylogenies of tardigrade taxa have been investigated using morphological data, but relationships within and between many taxa are still unresolved. Our aim has been to verify those relationships adding molecular analysis to morphological analysis, using nearly complete 18S ribosomal DNA gene sequences (five new) of 19 species, as well as cytochrome oxidase subunit 1 (COI) mitochondrial DNA gene sequences (15 new) from 20 species, from a total of seven families. The 18S rDNA tree was calculated by minimum evolution, maximum parsimony (MP) and maximum likelihood (ML) analyses. DNA sequences coding for COI were translated to amino acid sequences and a tree was also calculated by neighbour-joining, MP and ML analyses. For both trees (18S rDNA and COI) posterior probabilities were calculated by MrBayes. Prominent findings are as follows: the molecular data on Echiniscidae (Heterotardigrada) are in line with the phylogenetic relationships identifiable by morphological analysis. Among Eutardigrada, orders Apochela and Parachela are confirmed as sister groups. Ramazzottius (Hypsibiidae) results more related to Macrobiotidae than to the genera here considered of Hypsibiidae. Macrobiotidae and Macrobiotus result not monophyletic and confirm morphological data on the presence of at least two large groups within Macrobiotus. Using 18S rDNA and COI mtDNA genes, a new phylogenetic line has been identified within Macrobiotus , corresponding to the ' richtersi-areolatus group'. Moreover, cryptic species have been identified within the Macrobiotus ' richtersi group' and within Richtersius . Some evolutionary lines of tardigrades are confirmed, but others suggest taxonomic revision. In particular, the new genus Paramacrobiotus gen. n. has been identified, corresponding to the phylogenetic line represented by the ' richtersi-areolatus group'.  相似文献

Adamantanes and neuraminidase inhibitors (NAIs) are two classes of antiviral drugs available for the chemoprophylaxis and treatment of influenza infections. To determine the frequency of drug resistance in influenza A/H3N2 viruses in Singapore, large-scale sequencing of neuraminidase (NA) and matrix protein (MP) genes was performed directly without initial culture amplification. 241 laboratory-confirmed influenza A/H3N2 clinical samples, collected between May 2009 and November 2013 were included. In total, 229 NA (95%) and 241 MP (100%) complete sequences were obtained. Drug resistance mutations in the NA and MP genes were interpreted according to published studies. For the NAIs, a visual inspection of the aligned NA sequences revealed no known drug resistant genotypes (DRGs). For the adamantanes, the well-recognised S31N DRG was identified in all 241 MP genes. In addition, there was an increasing number of viruses carrying the combination of D93G+Y155F+D251V (since May 2013) or D93G (since March 2011) mutations in the NA gene. However, in-vitro NAI testing indicated that neither D93G+Y155F+D251V nor D93G alone conferred any changes in NAI susceptibility. Lastly, an I222T mutation in the NA gene that has previously been reported to cause oseltamivir-resistance in influenza A/H1N1/2009, B, and A/H5N1, was detected from a treatment-naïve patient. Further in-vitro NAI testing is required to confirm the effect of this mutation in A/H3N2 virus.  相似文献

黄绿卷毛菇(Floccularia luteovirens)隶属于伞菌目(Agaricales)口蘑科(Tricholomataceae)是一种主要分布在青藏高原的产子实体的外生菌根真菌。本研究以青藏高原黄绿卷毛菇(F.luteovirens)的23个野生居群,404个个体为研究对象,利用rDNA三个片段(ITS+5.8 s,IGS-1以及LSU)研究了青藏高原黄绿卷毛菇种內的系统发育关系。研究表明:联合序列共获得15种基因型,基因型多样性(h)的范围从0.374 3(MD)到1.000 0(DR),平均值为0.723 3。歧点分布分析走势呈现单峰曲线,表明黄绿卷毛菇居群近期经历过扩张过程。对黄绿卷毛菇基因型变异的分布模式进行验证,得到NST>GST(p<0.05),表明黄绿卷毛菇基因型之间具有显著地分子系统地理结构。分子变异分析(AMOVA)表明,黄绿卷毛菇的遗传变异主要存在于居群内部(79.17%)。基于MP树和ML树的研究发现基因型H3、H4、H5、H15首先和其他基因型分开,而在贝叶斯分析中则不存在这一分支。没有一个居群拥有特有的基因型,但是就基因型多样性地域分布格局来看,各个基因型的多样性由北向南呈明显的减少趋势。结合软件NETWORK的分析可以知道,几种主要分布在阿尼玛卿山以南的基因型都位于网路结构的边缘,说明这几种基因型是较晚形成的。本研究是对之前利用蛋白质编码基因研究的很好地补充。  相似文献

The genus Euduboscquella is one of a few described genera within the syndinean dinoflagellates, an enigmatic lineage with abundant diversity in marine environmental clone libraries based on small subunit (SSU) rRNA. The region composed of the SSU through to the partial large subunit (LSU) rRNA was determined from 40 individual tintinnid ciliate loricae infected with Euduboscquella sampled from eight surface water sites in the Northern Hemisphere, producing seven distinct SSU sequences. The corresponding host SSU rRNA region was also amplified from eight host species. The SSU tree of Euduboscquella and syndinean group I sequences from environmental clones had seven well-supported clades and one poorly supported clade across data sets from 57 to 692 total sequences. The genus Euduboscquella consistently formed a supported monophyletic clade within a single subclade of group I sequences. For most parasites with identical SSU sequences, the more variable internal transcribed spacer (ITS) to LSU rRNA regions were polymorphic at 3 to 10 sites. However, in E. cachoni there was variation between ITS to LSU copies at up to 20 sites within an individual, while in a parasite of Tintinnopsis spp., variation between different individuals ranged up to 19 polymorphic sites. However, applying the compensatory base change model to the ITS2 sequences suggested no compensatory changes within or between individuals with the same SSU sequence, while one to four compensatory changes between individuals with similar but not identical SSU sequences were found. Comparisons between host and parasite phylogenies do not suggest a simple pattern of host or parasite specificity.  相似文献

Interrelationships of the tapeworms (Platyhelminthes: Cestoda) were examined by use of small (SSU) and large (LSU) subunit ribosomal DNA sequences and morphological characters. Fifty new complete SSU sequences were added to 21 sequences previously determined, and 71 new LSU (D1-D3) sequences were determined for the complementary set of taxa representing each of the major lineages of cestodes as currently understood. New sequences were determined for three amphilinidean taxa, but were removed from both alignments due to their excessively high degree of divergence from other cestode sequences. A morphological character matrix coded for supraspecific taxa was constructed by the modification of matrices from recently published studies. Maximum-parsimony (MP) analyses were performed on the LSU, SSU, LSU+SSU, and morphological data partitions, and minimum-evolution (ME) analyses utilizing a general time reversible model of nucleotide substitution including estimates of among-site rate heterogeneity were performed on the molecular data partitions. Resulting topologies were rooted at the node separating the Gyrocotylidea from the Eucestoda. The LSU data were found to be more informative than the SSU data and were more consistent with inferences from morphology, although nodal support was generally weak for most basal nodes. One class of transitions was found to be saturated for comparisons between the most distantly related taxa (gyrocotylideans vs cyclophyllideans and tetrabothriideans). Differences in the topologies resulting from MP and ME analyses were not statistically significant. Nonstrobilate orders formed the basal lineages of trees resulting from analysis of LSU data and morphology. Difossate orders were basal to tetrafossate orders, the latter of which formed a strongly supported clade. A clade including the orders Cyclophyllidea, Nippotaeniidea, and Tetrabothriidea was supported by all data partitions and methods of analysis. Paraphyly of the orders Pseudophyllidea, Tetraphyllidea, and Trypanorhyncha was consistent among the molecular data partitions. Inferences are made regarding a monozoic (nonsegmented) origin of the Eucestoda as represented by the Caryophyllidea and for the evolution of the strobilate and acetabulate/tetrafossate conditions having evolved in a stepwise pattern.  相似文献

The parasitic protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis is known to contain several types of Fe-containing superoxide dismutase proteins (FeSOD). Using three different methods of phylogenetic analysis, maximum parsimony (MP), neighbor joining (NJ), and maximum likelihood (ML) methods, we examined the phylogenetic relationships among the six FeSOD (FeSOD1-FeSOD6) based on their amino acid sequences. All the analyses consistently suggested that the six proteins formed a monophyletic group implying that they probably be originated from an ancestral protein form through repeated duplication events. Although MP tree was totally unresolved, the NJ and ML trees revealed that FeSOD6 placed the most basal position and thus emerged earlier than the other five gene types during the evolution of T. vaginalis. Phylogenetic relationships among the five remaining proteins were (FeSOD2, FeSOD3), (FeSOD4, (FeSOD1, FeSOD5)) although weakly supported in terms of bootstrapping values. In addition to this, we newly designed two PCR primer specifically amplifying full-length FeSOD6 gene and examined its genetic diversity among 12 T. vaginalis isolates from five countries and three continents. They had the same nucleotide sequences except those of three Korean isolates which showed one to three different nucleotides.  相似文献
