A characteristic electric organ discharge display in social encounters between mormyrid fish is a temporary discharge cessation. Using this response, we have investigated the useful range of electrocommunication under different water conductivity conditions in the mormyrid Brienomyrus niger. An individual fish was confined to a porous ceramic shelter tube and moved from a starting distance of 380 cm toward a similarly confined conspecific until discharge, cessation occurred. The moved fish was subsequently returned to its original, position. Water conductivity affects the peak-to-peak source voltage of the electric organ and the sensitivity of the fish's electroreceptors. Within a range of 10 to 36 000 μS/cm, the peak-to-peak amplitude of the electric organ discharge declined as a power function. At 120 μS/cm, the amplitude was 50%, and at 300μS/cm, 30% of the 10 μS/cm value. The interfish distance at which discharge cessation occurred and the associated electric field gradients were dependent on water conductivity and upon the spatial orientation of the two fish (end-to-end or parallel orientations of their shelter tubes). The respective ranges were from 135 cm and 0.02 mV/cm at 52 μS/cm (parallel orientation) to 22 cm and 0.36 mV/cm at 678 μS/cm (end-to-end orientation). When the data for both tube orientations were combined, the relationship between water conductivity (x) and the distance at which discharge cessation occurred (y) could be expressed by a power function, y=K·xa (with K=102.97 and a=?0.56). When an electrically ‘silent’ fish was moved away from its conspecific, a discharge resumption in the form of a high-frequency rebound occasionally effected changes in the other fish's discharge activity at distances up to 157 cm (with an associated electric, field gradient of 0.01 mV/cm under the lowest conductivity condition).  相似文献

玉米幼苗在暂时性萎蔫期间失水速率相对较慢,可溶性糖,脯氨酸等渗透调度物质的积累较多,SOD活性增加,而在永久性萎缩期间失水速率较快,渗透调节物质减少,SOD活性下降,在玉米幼苗萎蔫的全过程中,叶绿素,蛋白质含量及CAT,POD活性等迅速下降,质膜透性增大,膜脂过氧化加剧。  相似文献

Results are presented from experimental studies of the prebreakdown phase of an electric discharge between point (anode) and plane (cathode) electrodes immersed in water with different initial conductivity. When a high-voltage pulse is applied, the induced conductivity is detected in the discharge gap. Its value is one order of magnitude higher than the initial conductivity. It is shown that the induced conductivity increases almost linearly with the initial conductivity. The induced conductivity correlates with the UV emission from the cathode surface. A qualitative analysis of the experimental results is performed.  相似文献

This work investigates the effect of direct-current electric field on the extracellular enzymatic activity, concentration and other experimental parameters of laccase from Trametes versicolor. The results showed that laccase could significantly contribute to the change of pH at the end of graphite electrode. In addition, it increased the electrical conductivity of the water. In the experiment, the optimum pH and catalytic pH range for laccase activity were 3.0 and pH 2.5–4.0. The application of 6 V direct current showed significant effects on the laccase enzyme activity. The activity of laccase was enhanced in the anodic region, but at the same time was strongly inhibited at the cathode. The electric charge characteristics of laccase were changed when exposed to electric field, and some laccases molecules moved to the anode, which produced a slight migration phenomenon. This study is the basis of combination of laccase and electrical technology, at the same time, providing a new direction of enhancing laccase activity. Compared to immobilization, using electric field is simple, no chemical additives, and great potential.  相似文献

The study deals with measurements of specific electric resistance of a narrow gap between two bilayer lipid membranes (BLM). The technique is based upon the influence of the outer electric field on the distance between two BLM which has been revealed earlier. The curve of specific resistance/solution ionic strength obtained suggests that surface conductivity is significant in similar systems. In gaps narrower than 40 nm possible increase of water viscosity must be also taken into consideration. A hypothetic mechanism of electric connection between cells is proposed.  相似文献

以连续种植2茬的连作基质为对象,采用室内盆栽试验,设置连作基质太阳能消毒、热水消毒、多菌灵消毒、大蒜伴生栽培和施入微生物菌处理以及新基质对照,在种植黄瓜后观测基质理化性质、养分含量、酚类物质含量、相关酶活性的变化以及黄瓜结果期生长发育、光合作用和果实产量的变化,探究不同处理对连作基质栽培黄瓜生长发育影响的机制,以期在生产上为废旧基质重复利用提供新的思路和方法。结果表明:在连作基质栽培黄瓜后,太阳能消毒和热水消毒处理均能显著提高连作基质的pH,同时降低电导率;施入微生物菌处理的基质EC值、速效氮、速效磷、速效钾和总酚含量均显著低于连作基质,而其基质磷酸酶活性和过氧化氢酶活性显著高于连作基质。热水消毒还显著降低连作基质的总酚含量和复合态酚含量。黄瓜生长至结果期,太阳能消毒、热水消毒、多菌灵消毒、大蒜伴生栽培和施入微生物菌均显著增强黄瓜的根系活力和株高;其中热水消毒和施入微生物菌处理的产量增加最为显著,分别比连作基质栽培提高了16.56%和18.40%。可见,连作基质进行热水消毒处理和施入微生物菌处理均能降低基质盐分积累,减少总酚含量,进而显著提高黄瓜的根系活力和光合作用,从而增加产量。  相似文献

Influence of gramicidin S on electric parameters of nitrocellulose ultrafilter as a biomembrane model was studied, the ultrafilters being impregnated with fatty acids or their ethers. It was shown that addition of the antibiotic to the solution over one side of the model membrane resulted in generation of electric potential. With increasing of the drug concentration by one order there was observed more than a 10-fold drop in the membrane resistance while the electric capacitance actually remained unchanged. It was suggested that gramicidin S was localized in thin water layers covering the surface of the ultrafilter pores and separating the polymer matrix and impregnating liquid filling the pores. Such incorporation led to changes in the state of water and water channel surfaces which defined the increase in the model membrane electric conductivity.  相似文献

The surface activity of the antiaarhythmic drugs and their influence on the lipid-containing interphasics were studied. It was found that drug No. 7351 (diphenyl isopropyl acetic acid diethyl aminopropyl ester), fubromegan, metamysil, propranolol, quinidine, novocalinamide, xylocaine, and trimecaine possessed surface activity. There exists a symbate relationship between the surface and especially the interphasic activity and the antiarrhythmic effect. The most active antiarrhythmic drug No. 7351 increased the electric conductivity of the lecithine bilayer membrane much more than novocainamide.  相似文献

本文采用改良的冲洗法,比较了内蒙古高原西部荒漠区锦鸡儿属(Caragana) 4 种优势植物—柠条锦鸡儿(C. korshinsk)、狭叶锦鸡儿(C. stenophylla)、垫状锦鸡儿(C. tibetica)和荒漠锦鸡儿(C. roborovoskyi)的水力结构日变化和季节变化,目的是了解4种锦鸡儿属植物对荒漠区环境的适应性及其差异。研究发现:4种锦鸡儿属植物的比导率、叶比导率均为早晚高、中午低的单谷日变化曲线;三个季节相比较,夏季的比导率、叶比导率最大;胡伯尔值春季>夏季>秋季。三个季节比导水率日平均值、夏季和秋季的叶比导率、三个季节的胡伯尔值都表现为:柠条锦鸡儿>荒漠锦鸡儿>狭叶锦鸡儿>垫状锦鸡儿;三个季节比导水率日变幅和春季叶比导率表现为:柠条锦鸡儿>荒漠锦鸡儿>垫状锦鸡儿>狭叶锦鸡儿。4个种比导水率日平均值的季节变幅相似。这些结果表明:(1)荒漠区锦鸡儿属植物的水力结构限制了水分运输,使其避免了中午的高蒸腾。(2)荒漠区锦鸡儿属植物通过较高的水分运输效率及较好的叶供水效率适应夏季的高温和强辐射,维持水分平衡;锦鸡儿属植物胡伯尔值的季节变化保证了其在春、夏季快速生长期有较好的水分供应。(3)较高的比导率、叶比导率和胡伯尔值导致了柠条锦鸡儿良好的水分供应和高蒸腾速率,进而导致了柠条锦鸡儿较快的生长速度,这说明柠条锦鸡儿对荒漠环境的适应性好于其它三个种;柠条锦鸡儿的输水效率高,但易发生严重的空穴和栓塞。  相似文献

The peripheral blood and central lymph of rats under experimental myocardial infarction was studied by means of light microscopy and electric conductivity measurement. Both hypertensive rats and animals 3 days after myocardial infarction had similar quantity of neutrophils in peripheral blood. Lymph cells count of hypertensive rats by middle lymphocytes is similar to the animals 1 day after myocardial infarction. The correlation between lymph and blood electric conductivity and its cell composition was noted.  相似文献

对南方18种觉的城市行道树的树皮PH值和电导率进行了测定。结果表明,不同的行道树的树皮PH值和电导率不同。对同一种种来说,靠近汽车道;的行道树的树皮的PH值泪地靠近人行道的一侧的树皮的PH值;而导电率表现为离汽车道越近或离工厂的污染源越近,树皮的电导率越高的规律。树皮PH值和导导率二者可以定性表示交通环境污染的程度。  相似文献

The study examines the relationship between electric field-induced conductivity and permeability changes in a biological membrane (electroporation) and the amplitude-duration parameters of the externally applied electric field. These reversible changes were characterized in giant photosynthetic membrane vesicles by means of the calibrated response of an intrinsic voltage-sensitive optical probe (electrophotoluminescence) and by the uptake studies of dextran-FITC fluorescent probes of different molecular weights. We quantitatively monitored electric field-induced conductivity changes by translating the electrophotoluminescence changes into conductivity changes. This was carried out by measuring the attenuation of the electrophotoluminescent signal after the addition of known amounts of gramicidin. The results demonstrate that electroporation involves the reversible formation of discrete holes in the membrane having radii <5.8 nm. The total area of the electric field-induced holes was 0.075% of the total surface of the vesicle. The formation of the electropores was affected differently by the electric field strength than by its duration. Increase in electric field strength caused increase in the total area of the vesicle that undergoes electroporation. Increase in the duration of the electric field increases the area of single electropores. Each of the two electric parameters can be rate limiting for the dynamics of electropore formation. These results are in accordance with the model of electroporation based on electric field-induced expansion of transient aqueous holes.  相似文献

以华南地区8种常见园林地被植物为研究对象,在温室内设置盆栽控水试验,分组测定各参试植物的永久萎蔫率,叶片失水率、相对含水量、相对电导率、可溶性糖、脯氨酸以及丙二醛含量等生理生化指标,并用隶属函数法对其抗旱性进行综合评价。结果表明:(1)植物的永久萎蔫率和叶片失水率以鹅掌藤、白蝴蝶相对较低,其植株表现出较强的抗旱性。(2)随着持续干旱时间的延长,8种地被植物的叶片相对含水量呈不同程度下降趋势;叶片相对电导率、MDA含量均有不同程度升高;叶片可溶性糖和脯氨酸含量的变化趋势不一。(3)3种木本植物的抗旱性强弱依次为鹅掌藤>红花龙船花>红背桂,5种草本植物依次为水鬼蕉>蚌兰>白蝴蝶>葱兰>大叶红草。研究表明,植物的永久萎蔫率、叶片失水率、相对含水量、相对电导率、丙二醛含量与其实际抗旱性密切相关,可作为评价园林地被植物抗旱性的有效指标。  相似文献

We demonstrate that the chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan exhibits enhanced sensitivity to the flow of water compared to other macromolecules which is in accord with their functional role in conferring compressive resistance to cartilage. In order to understand factors that may contribute to its low hydraulic conductivity, a comparative study of hydraulic conductivity, as measured by the sedimentation velocity technique is made of various macromolecules representing variations in charge density, chemical composition, thermodynamic nonideality, size and flexibility. The polymers examined were dextran, poly(ethylene glycol), poly(vinyl alcohol), albumin, and dextran sulfate. The differences in hydraulic conductivity between the various macromolecules could not be explained by conventional theories which included prediction of hydraulic conductivity related to the radius of the molecule regarded as a uniform cylinder, nor the absolute charge density of the molecule and nor to the steric hindrance offered by the macromolecule to the diffusion of tritiated water. A qualitative relationship is established, however, between the noncounterion polymer contribution to osmotic activity and the resistance to water flow for polymers with high osmotic activity.  相似文献

美丽箬竹对模拟大气O3浓度倍增胁迫的生理响应   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
运用开顶式气室(OTCs)模拟当前环境大气O3浓度(对照,40~45 nL·L-1)、O3浓度倍增4倍(TR-1,92~106 nL·L-1)和O3浓度倍增2倍(TR-2,142~160 nL·L-1)胁迫,以叶片光合色素、MDA、可溶性蛋白质和可溶性糖含量及SOD和POD活性和相对电导率为指标,分析了美丽箬竹(Indocalamus decorus Q.H.Dai)对O3胁迫的生理响应规律.结果显示:随O3浓度的提高,叶片叶绿素a(Chla)、叶绿素b(Chlb)、总叶绿素和类胡萝卜素含量,SOD和POD活性,可溶性蛋白质和可溶性糖含量及二者的比值(SPC/SSC)均呈下降趋势;叶绿素a口与b的比值(Chla/Chlb)、MDA含量和相对电导率均呈增加趋势.TR-1条件下叶片POD活性和可溶性糖含量分别比对照下降38.86%和10.37%,差异显著;Chla/Chlb比值显著高于对照,其余指标均与对照无显著差异.而在TR-2条件下叶片Chla、Chlb、总叶绿素和类胡萝卜素含量显著低于对照,降幅分别为26.89%、40.91%、30.47%和20.37%;SOD和POD活性、可溶性蛋白质和可溶性糖含量以及PC/SSC比值也均显著低于对照,降幅分别为42.03%、46.62%、45.09%、11.52%和40.15%;Chla/Chlb比值、MDA含量和相对电导率均显著高于对照.另外,TR-1与TR-2处理组间光合色素含量和POD活性差异不显著,TR-2处理组MDA含量和相对电导率显著高于TR-1处理组,SOD活性显著低于后者.研究结果表明:美丽箬竹对O3胁迫具有强耐受性,可种植于O3浓度较高的环境中.  相似文献

A method of soft poration of lipid bilayer was suggested, which is based on the structural rearrangement of lipid bilayer formed from disaturated phospholipids on the phase transition from liquid crystalline state to the gel. As opposed to the widely used method of electropbration, this method allows one to obtain a lipid pore population without application of high electric field. In the case of soft poration, the electric field does not exceed the physiological level of 10-100 mV. It was shown that, in planar bilayer lipid membranes formed from dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine in water solution of 1 M LiCl, there appear up to 10 lipid pores in 1 min per 1 mm of membrane surface with an average conductivity of a pore of 31 +/- 13 nS. The average pore radius estimated using soluble polyethylene glycols ranged between 1.05-1.63 nm. Monovalent cation conductivity of a single lipid pore on soft poration was shown to decrease in the order Li+ > or = Na+ > K+ = Rb+ > or = Cs+. This order coincides with that observed by Marra and Israilashvili for dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine-water interbilayer where the repulsive hydration force contribution is significant.  相似文献

在人工模拟逆境生态条件下,测定了李6个种17个品种(系)细胞质膜差别透性、POD同工酶活性及叶片中可溶性糖含量,结果表明,叶片可溶性糖含量与枝皮细胞质低温伤害程度之间呈极显著负相关,枝皮POD同工酶活性与叶片细胞质膜高温伤害程度之间存在显著负相关性,根据Fuzzy综合评判,对不同种类品种的综合抗逆性进行了评价。  相似文献
